If I could rate it negative stars I would. Had vehicle for 54 days for minor scratch repairs. Made 3 trips out there before it was completed. First visit after being told it was completed found new damage caused by Gerber, unfinished replacement of parts, and damages still not finished. Second visit found damages still not repaired. Took over 30 mins for the manager to even come out to talk to me, even though it was known I was unhappy.Last visit the person at the desk wanted me to pay before showing me the vehicle.Being that Gerber had to pay my vehicle rental for 27 days. It probably would have been cheaper and quicker to just have painted the vehicle to begin. Rather than try to work around rock chips and doing a sub par job to get me out quick for cheap.Communication is lacking at this location. Nobody knowns what is going on. Every time I called I got different stories on if the vehicle was painted or not.They killed my battery and tried blaming on a rodent. Was told it was repaired, came by 3 days later to get something out of the vehicle and was told they were still working on it. Vehicle brought with half a tank of gas, at final pick up time had a half.Even at end they put on a destroyed sticker on the windshield, why even do it? What was the point? It is clearly destroyed, and now I have to remove it.I wouldnt take my vehicle to this location, nor would I recommend this location to my worst enemy.Pictures are of what Gerber considered to be repaired work. Green first time told completed, Yellow second time told completed.

I have used them before and I always get great service. From the Receptionist to the repair personal everyone is super nice. I recieved text messages to inform me at each interval. They even dropped off my car when it was finished. Robert went Above and Beyond what I expect from a collision repair company!!

Gerber is a superb Glass & Collision shop. Professional behavior through and through. Took time to follow up with me to make sure they had the correct item for my vehicle. My car was repaired at the Gerber and Collision located on Southwest Highway in Oak Lawn. Russia was professional and thoroughly explained the cost and procedure of the repairs to be performed. She kept me abreast of the work and date of completion. Her original quotes were so on point; no additional cost were added. The mechanic’s “WOW Factor” sets Gerber Collision apart from others! Fixed my daughters car. Looks great! Even though it took over 3 weeks because they are so busy.

I only took it into this location because when I called my insurance company USAA, I was informed that they were a business approved by them. So many problems. Hood wouldn’t latch, repairs were to the rear of the car, paint splatter all over the hood and I was told it was rock chips( like I don’t know my own car) and the car wasn’t washed. There was a dent on the so called new panel. I’d never recommend this place nor return.

I had the bad luck of having 3 accidents within a 3 month period. Jorge and his team have done a wonderful job restoring my car. Car looks like new. And they do a great job of cleaning it inside and out. Its a lot cleaner than when I gave it to them. LOL! I will not be taking my car to any other body shop but Gerber in Oaklawn.

In the meantime I did pick them to do the work, You know when I took my truck in I had No way of getting to the car rental, they took time out of their schedule to drive me there 😇I would have given 5☆ HOWEVER, Im waiting to see what it looks like when I get it back, so stay tuned Good or Bad I will keep my review 100. So I would recommend this PLACE and ask for Jorge.

My service representative Jorge was extremely professional, helpful, knowledgeable and made me feel as though my vehicle was in good hands. Im pleased with the repairs and now understand the true meaning of getting what you pay for. Ive had negative experiences with other local Collision companies but I would HIGHLY recommend Gerber and make sure you ask for Jorge.

We were told the repair would take 9-10 days and for the first week nothing was done finally on day 14 with pressing them to get this done, we were able to pick up our car. At that time, additional work was needed which they did. Hopefully the late painting holds.

Got re ended on Tuesday, so on the following day I decide to check out this place out to see how fast they can take my car. (Other places we’re talking about in a week) They also work with my insurance, progressive. Jorge took me right away! He looked at my car, took pictures and tried getting everything in before my insurance office closed. He is very polite and friendly! This morning he called me telling me he talked to my insurance and they can take it! I just can drop it off and set up a rental! Did I mention enterprise is right next door! Talk about customer service. He was fast and efficient! Thank you job for making this easy and stress free!

Dont believe about the life time warranty that bull, my truck had damages in the front and rear suspension, they didnt do anything in rear, and, found out that, its was something wrong with the rear, suspension, they said its was not cover, for the warranty because it was nomal parts wear, i, hah to fix the damaded pats by the accident, somet else and pay an extra $1000,00 + $400,00 for the 2 damaged tires,, i, will never go back to those Gerber shops,,,

Ive always brought my vehicles to this body shop. I only used it myself twice but always recommended them for their professional services. Before Gerber Ive taken vehicles to same location but back then it was southwest autobody. But they fix vehicles faster than most shops.

Ive had a fantastic experience with everyone here. Service was very prompt, and David kept in contact with me the entire time of my repair. They actually delivered my vehicle a week ahead of schedule, right before I had to go on a business trip. I wouldnt hesitate to stop by or give them a call because they were great.

Went there for a dent on my car behind the back wheel. I made the mistake of having my insurance company notify this shop. When I went in to get it fixed and i said blue, 2018 mustang the guys face lit up. He walked out looked at it for 5 seconds and said it would cost 5 grand to fix explaining that he didnt want to quote me 3500 and have to go up on it later. Checked 5 places after that and not one of them quoted me over a grand for the fix. Ended up getting it fixed less than 5 blocks down the road for $850.00. This place is a scam. Run away.

Worst service ever. I took my envoy to get fixed. They gladly charge my insurance a few thousands and did a very bad job. A few days after it was done I noticed some parts were taped in place and the new one was not purchased. Took it back to get fixed, again. Now after several months the other parts and lights are falling off again. Makes me wonder what they did with the insurance money. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

I wish I can leave 0 starsHowever, Im left with no choice but to leavebad feedback after having to look at my car everyday and remember The worst experience ever.They gave me back my car with swirl marks burnt into the paint.My car has black exterior and you can See swirls in the paint the worst.I requested that they repainted the bumper . They insisted on buffing them out 3 different occasions. They are some tricksters and some bad ones at that. They buffed my car with some black glaze waxto give it a deep black shine. Until the first car wash took it off.They made it even worse and I payed out of pocket.No insurance claim

I had to jump in due to his unprofessional & disrespectful behavior. Horrible representation of the great company that Gerber Auto Collision.Thankfully the GM Robert Burnett was there to help with my experience.

From the office to the garage, everyone was courteous and friendly. My car looked like new! No shortcuts done here! ..and the complimentary detailing and car wash topped it off!

I had a repair done on my Sonic over a year ago and I don’t have any issues with it. My car looks like it was never hit in the first place. The paint blends in very well and they did not overspray with the clear coat. They have very good customer service just like any other place I have been to.

TERRIBLE! AVOID AT ALL COSTSGO TO ANOTHER SHOP!My review was deleted twice Avoid these thieves, they only seek your insurance money.Gerber collision didnt paint my rim like they were supposed to, got paint on my gas cap, messed up my tints by brutally scratching them, and messed up a compartment in my hatch. There was also over spray all over. Hey, they replaced a door hinge that was unnecessary and replaced my rim, that was not a correct match. Extreme fail. Oh, and my sound system was shifted a bit.It was supposed to be a simple quarter panel and bumper job. How does that even get to the tints. My guess is that they used a wire to break in when they accidentally locked themselves out. I tried contacting them for 6 months but it went from one branch to another. I had to pay out of my own pocket to fix this. I had to pay, so I will make sure my post doesnt get deleted$60.00 for a tint fix, $50.00 for a single rim paint job, $150.00 for the actual rim needed. THANKS GERBER. They even took photographs of the car from before touching it, they have the evidence but hey it hurts to admit one is wrong. I hate doing this but It just frustrates me that it had to come down to this.SMH. My recommendation, go to another shop, take pictures of everything so at least you have something on your side in case you have to prove stuff like me. The manager made it seem like it was my fault and tied to intimidate me.I even over heard hurtz, their business partners from across the street, complain about them and their lack of professionalism when I went to get a rental.This happened in October of 2014.It is now June 23, 2015, I have spoken to two managers, and Beth, the human resources manager, and another manager from a neighboring branch.

They did an excellent job repairing my elderly dads car after a guy ran the stop sign by christ hospital striking my dads car as he drove along 95th street where oak lawn has now installed the new redlight. Gerber treated my dad with the utmost respect and you cant tell that his car was ever hit. Excellent repair job with no complaints. Since the work was done multiple seasons have past with the car enduring all the weather we get with no issues arising. I also had my car side swiped recently and went to this location for an estimate. I was also treated with the utmost respect. Unfortunately however the guy who struck my car and I both had cheap insurance companies so Im probably gonna end up paying out of pocket to get the job done right at this location.

Update as of today 11/5. Bumper has been replaced (see photo below). My car was washed and the new GM was very accommodating. I am pleased that they were willing to correct their work and provide great customer service.I wanted to give an update as the General Manager did reach out to me regarding my bumper. They fixed it temporarily and ordered the part to fix it permanently. I will be going back in to get fixed once I find time in my schedule. They also buffed out some of the scratches. I will post pictures but I can say the new GM was very accommodating.I took my truck to them in 2019 due to my splash guard getting caught on a nail and causing my bumper to pop loose. I filed the claim through my insurance company. I was told they were doing a full bumper replacement. There was a piece that bulged out a little and they told me that was ok. After only two years it came apart a month ago and when I took it back they kept it for a week, patched it up trying to say someone hit me which caused it to come apart and within a week it’s back coming apart. My thought is they never replaced the entire bumper but they claimed they did. Now it’s coming apart due to patch work. Horrible. Good customer service tho. Horrible work.
