Pulled a number and had to wait two hours they got to my number then the lady just waived someone over in front of me. I called to make an appointment and was told they dont go by appointment anymore.

If you’re looking to have something price matched then don’t bother shopping here. From my experience, the employees here are Karen’s who would rather argue than do their job. Trash employees.

Good exchange better than the one in the Navy support complex off I5, However the barber shop definitely needs to either hire more barbers or staff it better especially on the weekend. Wait times can be hours for a haircut on the weekends. As for the rest of the staff they are good at what they do plus turnover doesnt look bad at all I have seen the same staff for years. As with any exchange some items are pricey but also as always there are deals to be had. My favorite part is the liquor section it is a good size.

This was actually our first time going in for family haircuts. I will say the lady we had was absolutely amazing, she was sweet and gave great haircuts to my husband and our 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son (going in for his first haircut)... Unfortunately I didnt catch her name, so Im kicking myself right now ..

Courteous,patient and always willing to help find a object, and then give an opinion of the product. They ask their coworkers about any problems that a customer complained about, when you make your mind up you have a fair idea it will or won’t suits your needs. Very helpful,

The gentleman helping me purchase a new TV literally went out of his way to help me as I was so indecisive. The rest of the store is laid out really well and there is always sales going on. It just sucks its all the way on the other base.

I always enjoy coming to the nex everyone is always friendly. There are always great deals. I always find something that I love especially when shopping for my baby boy. They have the cutest outfits for very fair prices. Also there is something for everyone there. They have everything you need from kitchen stuff as well as bedrooms stuff. Also clothes, shoes, make up, snacks and beverages I feel as if it is a Mini mall on the naval base. I absolutely love shopping here. I guarantee you will find whatever you are looking for here. This place has so much to offer!!!:)

Tax-free and discounted liquor is a big plus in the state of Washington although the selection is not as huge as Safeway. Pretty good size NEX especially compared to Smokey Point. Even though it is all the way on the seaplane base I would rather go here than Walmart.

The standard exchange part is great but I will say that the Verizon kiosk is rather slow. Myself and 2 others wanted to get onto 1 plan and it took 3 hours and we had to order a phone for 1 of us which when it showed up we ended up waiting over 2 hours to get it because both employees were helping 1 couple. You would be much better off going to the Verizon store in town.

We enjoyed our shopping experience although there were not enough people to help us throughout the store. I also noticed other people seeking help but not being able to find it. I finally went to the front registers and ask someone to come back to the department that I needed help in. Otherwise it was a wonderful shopping experience with quite a bit of variety

ANGRY! I got an 80.00 spiral perm. Everything I told the salon that the girl did 2 years prior that gave me a perfect perm they ignored. I needed the hard to curl perm which she couldnt find so blew it off. By 5 pm that evening my hair was totally straight! Called, explained, they rescheduled me in a few days. I went. The perm didnt take at all the second time! They brought my 80.00 back. Im still out 40.00 in tip money, undeserved, and have 2 years of growing to get thru before I dont have BURNT SMELLING hair! I want more than 40.00 returned to me! The girls both kept their tips! Government Corruption!

While staying at the beautiful Navy campground on Whidbey Island for about a month, we enjoyed getting out and about, and shopped here often. This store is unique, with everything one could need to include souvenirs. I only gave it a four because its a bit smaller and much older than one would expect, though still it should meet most or all your needs.

NEX NAS Whidbey Island very much the best place for clothes and Christmas they have already started the mark downs early on some ugly the seasonal items, hot sauce, candies, other such items and some of the liquor is already discounted.. And this year while expensive they have some of the high end bourbons and whiskeys available.. The clothes dept, at least 5 times larger than walmarts and far more diverse in style.. So if have access to base reccomend do shopping there this year.. And the deli across parking lot at commissary for this area very diverse and great items.. several aisles of imported items from far east, Germany and elsewhere that is carried year round..

This is a really good shopping mall. They have really good pricing and a good atmosphere. The prices for TVs and computers particularly are pretty reasonable. They have a good court which you wouldnt think by the size of it. Nice place overall.

It has a pretty good selection. They have a lot of good deals on name brand items. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Ive never had a hard time with parking or waiting in line for too long to check out.

So I am extremely picky about my hair. Ive only had one person cutting my hair for almost 10 years. I came to whidbey and well to say the least I was concerned with finding someone new. Well after a year of not getting my hair cut my husband forced me to go into the salon and I had a newer person named Greta cut my hair. She honestly did an amazing job. Was so personable. Really listened and asked before she cut. My hair shows cut lines like crazy and she did a seamless job. She even curled my hair for free and it looks amazing. I love my new cut and so sad we are moving soon since I finally found someone I trust!

I went with a friend that has a card to shop at base stores. They have great prices. They are very well organized grocery and exchange stores. The employees are very helpful and friendly.

With 20 years shopping at Navy Exhanges I have to say that they are all going down hill. Some of the most rudest people work there. This one is one of the worst! The sad part is that not only are the associates horrible but the department managers are even worse! They talk down to people, have no customer service skills and honestly don’t care about you. What happened to the baby exchanges that were super nice and helpful. They are all gone.

The cashier was extremely rude when I asked a question about an item. Some employees are extremely nice. It depends on who you come across and how their day is going. The NEX does have a lot of fun seasonal holiday activities for the kids throughout the year.

We Love our exchange. It could be a little bigger with a few more things to offer but its cozy, sufficient and efficient. Its always changing and improving.❤

The NEX is great for our service families. I appreciate the service they provide for our son and his family as he serves in the Navy.

The Navy Exchange is good if youre military because there isnt sales tax, but it is exclusive to active duty military and their dependents. They dont always have the best selection on things but they do always have sales going on. Sometimes they do this scratch ticket thing where you can get a percentage off of your purchase.

Everything is there food, clothing etc., BRber, saloon, jewelry, clean environment and good service. Benefit for all service men and women.

Our summers need A/C for customers. It was hot enough to make me sweat trying to shop.

I was here today to get a long awaited spa Mani and Pedi and was very much looking forward to some QUIET pampering and relaxation. Although Miho always does a WONDERFUL job the relaxing part was non existent due to two very misbehaved children that were in the spa lobby for my entire appointment! They screamed, threw several temper tantrums, and ran around all over the place! I know this will be perceived as mean, but when I come to a spa salon and pay the money I do I have an expectation of having a quiet, relaxing experience! Today I felt like I was sitting in the middle of a daycare!

I was looking for one item and like most times when I am in a strange store I ask for help at CS. I asked and was directed to where it use to be. When I got there I was told the item was moved. The employee said where it was moved to got on her in store microphone ask the department if they had the item, it showed me were it was and I found with no trouble Every person I spoke to was very cooperative. It was an honor to deal with the Navy Exchange.

I love the NEX i would probably give it a 5 but because of the mobile kiask they have it only deserves a 1 star. Where do I begin, first of all it took 4-5 hours just to get us to switch mobile companies and I had the nerve to keep my guard down and believe what they were telling me. They told me TMobile would buy our contracts and pay off the rest of our phone (which they dont). So we have pay even more out of pocket to pay off the phones. They said they set us up for the BOGO deal(which they didnt, I had to go to a creditable TMobile retailer and they were gracious enough to honor it). Terrible people, just wanted to make a sale on us 😡

Occasionally, as an over age 60 person, you may find something a little stylish. But dont count on it.

A bit smaller than typical nex. The smokey point near NAVSTA Everett is a bit larger. Employees are kind and courteous though.

Its the NEX. I will say that the MiniMart is on-point and has a ridiculous selection of libations, much cheaper than many places in town. The main NEX is a bit lacking in the Outdoors section (which doesnt make much sense given the location).

Space is tight, but with fair prices on a little bit of everything here, its a great support to our military families.

Have shopped at nex Whidbey since 1985, it is bigger, but did not get better. Should be more aimed at the Wal-Mart type of merchandise thats affordable to enlisted. Lots of us do not need designer clothing, shoes, etc......... find some good quality merchandise at affordable prices. 😐

Excellent make up selection Estee Lauder, lancome, Bobbi brown etc. Excellent baby items such as jujube bff diaper bags. Limited hot food restaurant inside. Although low cost it is mainly unhealthy, basic and low quality such as corn dogs, burgers, fries and quesadilla. I believe they had an ordinary salad or two but nothing to make you go back probably just to survive the day.

Its the nex prices are ok not as cheap as they used to be. the plus is no sales tax.

Amazing and ofcourse tax free! Great deals on a lot of stuff, very similar to a walmart in terms of what they sell and how great their insurance packages are on items.

Horrible, if youre a certain race you get special treatment.... Took over 45 minutes cutting this one guys hair, when there was a huge line. Pretty Sad, especially in a Navy Base. DONT GO TO BARBER SHOP.... They take 5 times longer on black customers if a black barber, special treatment...
