Been here many times. Well clean well organized. In and out quickly.

As of COVID masks are mandatory, and they require you to have a military Id to enter. But its a reasonably well stocked commissary. They do sandwiches at the deli counter - and its better and cheaper than places like subway.

I am very disappointed with the customer service that my wife have witnessed and experienced at Sea Plane Base, Oak Harbor Commissary yesterday. I am Filipino and I am proud because Filipinos are kind, respectful, and loving. However, this incident of disrespecting, sarcastic remarks, and raising voice at the customers by some Filipino commissary staff at the cashier and bagging area that happened more than once should stop, for it is unprofessional and unacceptable. I hope the manager there would do something about it and conduct a good customer training to all, so this incident will not happen again. I know we are all stressed because of this COVID-19, but we should not allow our personal or family problem to affect our work, showing bad behavior and very rude attitude especially when your work involves direct customer service. Thank you!

Decent commissary as far as commissaries go. Right now there is a seriously annoying rule in effect that every adult must take a shopping cart in with them so they can count how many people are in the store. So if you come into the store with another adult and are only there to grab a couple items, you must BOTH still push a large cart around the store from start to finish. The carts are also not being wiped down between customers. We ended up stacking our carts and pushing two around together with three items in it. This is an extremely silly and inefficient way to count people in the store. You may also need to wait in line outside for a cart to be available because people leave their empty carts inside the store and do not return them back to the bins at the entrance. The NEX next door does not enforce this rule. Perhaps there is a more time and energy efficient way to count people in the store???

The Commissary Carries all the major brands. The aisles are well organized. The employees are very friendly and helpful. And the prices cant be beat. A benefit all active military members and retirees should embrace.

Some of them are unbelievably rude.One of them at cashier rolled the merchandise over towards me, it happened so fast so I couldnt catch it. Basically she dropped it on the floor and made me pick it up the while I was carrying a baby and a wallet. Couldnt you see that my hands are full?I was only buying a small thing, I felt bad about it but the self checkout was very busy and I had a baby with me. Is it so bad that going to cashier for buy ONE thing?

Workers are very helpful and courteous, produce dept is wife’s favorite and looks waaaaaay above par compared to your average commissaries.Meat dept had a good selection and found what we needed for freezer and daily use. Grocery was a little lite in some areas but after conversing with the store director “ who came and greeted us initially” she assured me their working hard as a team to address our concerns.Ms. Crows kindness, understanding, professionalism and passion for our military families really shows. It went a long way with my wife and I.Thank you Again

As someone else also commented on here.. it’s absolutely ridiculous to be scowled at, for turning down loading services when I clearly don’t need the service. If I was injured in some way (broken ankle, or arm ect) then it would be nice and obvious to ask someone if they need help loading their groceries. I can honestly see why so many military people shop in town. Giving someone a dirty look, or a nasty comment because they don’t need help out, is seriously unprofessional.

Prices are good but employees is self service line are just always rude and grumpy, especially the woman in glasses.

Speedy shopping and service. Some limited items still require you to shop out in town, but most of the time you cant beat the price at the commissary.

Needs a complete overhaul. Go to NAS Jax... it’s night and day. Whidbey Islands commissary needs to fire management, bulldoze, and start fresh. Zero stars.

Good selection, great prices, the cashiers and baggers are always very upbeat and positive.

New to the area. The local stores are pretty expensive but the prices are decent at the commissary. Most of our shopping will be done here in the future. Fast service and nice produce! Haggens food will still be our quick stop shop for high quality food items though.

Shopping in this commissary is always disappointment. Shelves are always empty and upper management is not correcting the issue. I recommend to replace the store directors for better operation.

Great prices and friendly service. Quick in and out when its not near payday. If near payday one day before or after then its ridiculously crowded.

The Commissary at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island is quite good. It is a small footprint commissary, so selections may be limited. If you are used to San Diego or Norfolk you may be disappointed. That said, i rarely cannot find what I need. The real problem is finding a customer service representative to help finding unique items. The commissary seems to empty the shelves on Sundays and random other days. Bottom line is that the commissary saves you money on almost all food and household cleaning items. The service is poor but worth dealing with for the savings.

Safeway and Haggen are packed throughout the day. Quick grocery shopping here. Deli selection is good.

The only good thing about the commissary here is the prices. The baggers work for tips but start bagging right away without asking you if you need help and you are expected to tip. I am forced to use a service I dont want right after spending all this money. If you tell them you dont need help out, they scowl at you after already having a piss poor attitude. The butchery is closed permanently which is frustrating to me. And the environment seems almost hostile, between the staff and the customers. I go shopping out in town and pay ridiculous prices just to not have to put up with anyone I encounter here.

Great store. Well organized. The bird chirpers at each entrance drive me crazy Everytime I walk in though. Thats the only reason it isnt a 5 star

Looking for noodle cups/bowls for RVing. Found 3-cup pack for a great price. Quick meal for on the road.

It was a great time to go. not crowded in and out fast. prices are going up though.

Always has some pretty good prices on the stuff Im looking for. I usually do self checkout because some of the baggers can be rude. Unless I have a big cart then I go to a regular cashier. Theyre music playlist is on point, always playing the hits. Produce is questionable at times so, sometimes I end up getting it at Safeway or Haggens.

Great historical seaplane base on the water. Exchange and commissary always have a great selection, are clean and organized.

I havent been there in about 3 years. And wow. Prices are as bad as the retail store. Checkers and baggers had a very piss poor attitude. I would rather pay local retailers vs go back and be treated poorly. Very disappointed

Place is compleatly unorganized and its difficult to find any employees to ask where stuff is. You can find the essentials easy enough, but anything other than that be prepared to hunt down a few things.

Its got an ok variety, but we need to get back to real, uncompromised consumables.

Usually have in stock what I buy, sometimes produce is over ripe and so I buy in town at Safeway. A few items have been discontinued there so I find elsewhere.

Everything is fine besides fruits and vegetables those are very bad quality and spoil very quickly.

Go in the mornings. Gets ultra crowded in the afternoons and around payday.

Went to the Pharmacy during off peak hours. Picked up my Refill in about 10 minutes.

Can food is priced right, but the meat and veggies are way over priced.
