This was my first AND last time visiting this place. My glasses broke and due to shipping, there is a significant delay. I havent worn contacts in years so I made an appointment for an exam and a trial pack of lenses to hold me over. My first interaction with the shorter gentleman with dark hair and glasses wasnt pleasant as he is not friendly/customer service oriented. Very condescending tone. I arrived today to pick up my contacts and gave him my name. I guess he couldnt find my order and then asked for my number when he shouldve asked if I were picking up glasses or contacts. I had my daughter with me so I turned around to help her with something and when I turned back he just had the bag holding out in front as if to say here. Should I need other eye glass services in the future, I definitely wont return to thus location even though its less than 5 minutes from my home.***everyone else i interacted with was pleasant***

The team here is amazing. I’ve never been in and out of an optical so fast! They took care of everything insurance so I didn’t have to do anything. When it came to picking out frames, the entire team was there for me the whole time. They went above and beyond and made the whole process so easy!

I was very pleased with their service to with all around. I had a late appointment and I called two hours before my appointment and was able to get something a lot sooner. I had insurance and apparently it was not accepted there but they ended up giving a very big discount that really helped me out. It was nice to feel like I was valued there and were very nice. I had to sit and wait for a while and they ended up taking money off. They were very quick and could get a clear understanding when I asked a question.

The whole corporation sucks.While sitting in truck. In front of the oak creek location. On Howell. .I call the store to ask 1 simple question.Oh heck no .I get some poorly speaking guy from a call center.Tells me I need to make a appointment.I asked when was the soonest. He gives aappointment 45 later. Well hers the Koopa de graThe guy in the mask mandated store . 1 is all alone packing the floor with boredom .mask hanging off one ear.I then ask for a right now appointment. The people at this location are spot-on. The Dr. (cant remember his name!) explained so much about my eyes to me, and didnt rush at all. A true professional. The staff (Astrid & Carlos) did a great job, streamlining the whole process of getting two pairs of glasses. I have to wear safety glasses at work, and they were able to get me glasses in about a week. I cant speak for all locations, but the team at the Oak Creek location know how to get things done! I couldnt believe how busy the place was, and was impressed with how Carlos handled the traffic & and a difficult customer too. A good experience here.

Manager Samantha kindly Assisted me and my Daughter as first time buyers at Stanton Optical. Samantha offered a complete Overview of Stanton Optical in just a few short minuets, had us meet with one of the best Opticians in Milwaukee for an Eye Exam and assisted with providing the maximum Discount(s) available. Brianna was also very helpful even though she was not directly assisting us. When manager Samantha informed Brianna that her Shift was over that day, Brianna offered to stay an help, giving Samantha more time with us so She did not feel Pressured to hurry the Sale. I cant say enough about the level of professionalism and care I received at Stanton Optical. I arrived at the Oak Creek location in desperate need of an exam and bifocals. My insurance was out of network, but they were still able to help despite my situation – and with extremely reasonable prices. Rena, Carlos, and Astrid as well as the tech who performed my eye physical exam, were all knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I never felt rushed to make a decision despite the large number of frames I tried. They smiled at me so Im smiling back! Thanks Yall!

Unfortunately $400 for possibly the worst glasses I have ever owned. Both pair. Dont think the script is correct and the bifocal location is off. I just wear my old glasses till I can afford to replace these. The Doctor was on a TV wearing a mask couldnt really understand anything he said and ended up with glasses I could t use.i couldnt get an appointment with my doctor this place had an opening not necessarily a bad place just that Covid messing with business I guess. Place was clean and professional.

What a great place! I have worn glasses now for about 15 years and have always dreaded going to (insert name here) because theyre always pressuring you into getting things you dont want, need, etc, and their prices are outrageous. Thankfully, you will not feel that way at Stanton Optical of Oak Creek. The staff there is awesome to work with, very friendly and helpful, and there is absolutely NO PRESSURE to buy anything from them. I highly recommend them for your next visit to the eye dr.

I would give 0 star if I could. Went here due to convenience instead for Sams Club Optical. Had an eye exam for glasses and contacts. Was given a prescription that was so strong it gave me headaches. I have the contacts 2 weeks to see if I would adjust. Same with the glasses. I travel a lot for work so I had spent $1,000 on a year worth or contacts and glasses. Went back to tell them I can’t do these contacts or glasses and they need to adjust due to migraines from wearing them. They gave me an exam. I had returned all 8 boxes of contacts new and not opened I kept the 2 that I did open. I wa stole they would send me new contacts and fix my glasses Liz this was on March 4th. It’s over. Months and I am getting run around and no one can recall anything about my situation. After paying $1,000 I have no glasses or contact and no answers because a manager is never on-site to help me. Stay away from this optical at all costs!

I had an appt for 1:25pm for an eye exam. I arrived at 1:20pm and filled out a tablet of questions and was told they would be right with me. I waited until about 1:45pm before asking how much longer it would be. The representative assured me they would be right with me. At 2pm I let them know that I would be leaving. The rep was then snotty.Outside of that, the frames are cheap and not attractive looking.Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

I don’t like the tel doc technician.....rather use a regular doc on staff....he changed my prescription....the tele docs script wasn’t accurate....it was a nice experience

Called to make my 5 year old an appointment before school because his pediatrician recommended he see one. They told me that it is “Stanton Optical policy that they not see anyone under the age of 6 years old and I need to take him to see a Pediatric Ophthalmologist.” Having experience in eye care I found this odd and asked why he cannot be seen and why he would need to see an ophthalmologist when he doesn’t need surgery or have any disease of his eyes. The receptionist told me that was a good question, but couldn’t answer it. Just kept telling me that it was their policy. Then asked me if I wanted to schedule an appointment for myself and when I told him that I wouldn’t want to be seen there if I can’t take my whole family he very quickly told me to have a good day and without letting me respond, hung up on me. This is upsetting especially because I have YEARS of experience in optical and always strive for the best possible customer service and did not receive this at all.

Im starting to get real frustrated with Stanton optical and their customer service team.... Ive been trying to return some glasses that I did not actually want and let alone the other frames were nice but the prescription still is no good in them I cannot see anything from sitting on my couch when Google stuff on my smart TV or trying to search something on YouTube Everything looks blurry.... I call more than once only to be getting put on hold for almost an hour every time with no end result I called last week again...well let me just say Ive been trying to get a response since the 18th of last month and they say they have that call actually on file and on record so I dont understand whats taking so long or whats hindering me from returning a product that I dont want and a product that I cant see out of I since then went to Americas Best where the customer service was great and I wasnt pressured into being up sold on any product.... I drive professionally and I go to so many different places at night because Im a third shift driver why would I purposely buy three pair of glasses and knowingly all of them have tent on them?!? that doesnt make any sense but I am getting frustrated because its been almost 30 days were at the 30-day limit now and Im sure that would be an excuse for them to tell me I cannot receive my funds back after paying $300 for something that I cant even use let alone see out of I wish someone would call me back immediately today not tomorrow or the day after I am tired of waiting it feels like games are being played with me sincerely unhappy customer..... I really wish I could give yall negative Stars but I had to give you one in order to leave a comment and the one star at this point you dont deserve that!!!!!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised. I am very particular about frames: shape, color, size, etc. Stanton had the best selection Ive seen. Staff spent a lot of time to help me choose the features that were comparable to what Id had, also lots of time to ensure the proper fit. The price was very reasonable and my glasses arrived ahead of the scheduled date. I will definitely go back.

I chose Stanton because they had availability to get an eye exam without a lengthy delay trying to get an appointment. The day I went they were light on staff and I spent a lot of time waiting. In the end I got my exam and glasses ordered.So I get a reply from Stanton with an 888 number to call with questions. I do have questions and was excited to see their response which really encouraged me to change my response from 4 to 5 stars. However, I have called the number 5 times, listen to a prerecorded message telling me to stay on hold and Ill be helped shortly. After 90 seconds, the phone hangs up. Clearly not sincere! 4 stars? 1 star!

Brianna helped us tonight with the paperwork for our prescription to order two pair of glasses. She was the most helpful and patient with us, considering our lost paperwork (initially, whoops) and many many questions about the process. It’s kind of confusing, you know ? I’m no optometrist, obviously, but never before have I had someone better help me out than tonight. This was my first time here. Not only did I have to wait for the exam but I also wanted contacts and they could not get ahold of the optometrist on call so they told me they would call me when they heard back. I waited almost an hour to just hear that! I waited a week and finally called them and said yes they received it but now had to wait another 10 days for my samples. My glasses came in and when I asked about my contacts they checked and were in but I never got a call. Normally you were given your sample contacts for a week and go back to make sure they fit correctly. I was never told to come back nor if I wanted to purchase any. I ordered my contacts online and will never go back. Poor customer service.

I have so many positive things to say about my first time visit at stanton optical ! They were so accommodating snd helpful and the office manager help work with me to make my eyeglass selections most affordable for my budget! I also had such sweet people performing my eye test on several different machines snd then onto the eye doctor on a bigs screen TV! It was not only so detailed but quite interesting concept of eye test snd safety precautions! Stanton will now be my family’s new optical place to go for eye exams every year. Brianna was super attentive and helpful! I had an issue with the fit of my glasses and she took the time to correct it to ensure they fit exactly how I wanted! Also, with insurance this is one of the best deals I have ever gotten for glasses and sunglasses. Other places (visionworks, lenscrafters) even with insurance were charging $300-$400 for lenses and frames. At stanton I got new frames with lenses and new lenses in my own sunglasses and paid under $300 for both. Will definitely take care of all my eyewear needs at this location in the future! :)

Recently had cataract surgery and received a prescription from my doctor so didn’t get the exam, but stopped in Oak Creek and Beth was extremely busy (multi-tasking), grinding lenses, etc., but made time to pick out frames for me and did a great job of explaining the differences in lenses and coatings. Got great service from her and a great price for 2 pair of glasses with progressive lenses. She is very knowledgeable and good at what she does. Thank you.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with an optical place. I had no idea going into the store that there wasn’t even an optometrist on site, the exam is done via web cam. The prices are advertised as better than what you will pay. I was told that I had no option to removing the 2 year protection plan on the glasses. The staff is incompetent and rude. After being told my vision had improved significantly I was immediately skeptical and my assumptions were right because I could not see out of the glasses. After a SECOND exam and hours of waiting in the store (I was told 40 mins to assemble new pair) I STILL could not see. Finally after 3 separate days and about 5 hours of being in the store I was helped by Samantha and a 3rd set of glasses were made. The final pairs were made correctly and I am very thankful for that. I would not recommend this store to anyone and all I can think about is how a child could be having the same issue I did and not know that something is wrong, resulting in their vision becoming worse.

Horrible service- the main optometrist was rude and had a terrible composure and attitude. She was also very pushy and kept trying to get me to agree to the most expensive add-on options for my glasses- although I had firmly told her that I wasnt interested in them. Moreover, I ordered a pair of glasses from them in early June and they still havent arrived and keep getting delayed. I strongly recommend going somewhere else; dont waste your money and energy here!

Buy 1 get 1 and a free exam, except the only options for this sale are for 90 year olds and a selection of about 10. If you dont buy one of the ugly selections you dont get the deal.Plus the doctor is thru teleconference only.Worst place I have taken my son to for an eye exam!!I took pictute of all the awesome options, along with the blue tag deals. I’ve never been a person to write reviews or complain, so hopefully this helps with their customer service skills. I recently lost my glasses and called staton optical to see if they accepted my insurance. The rep stated they took all major insurances and offered a same day appt. @ 11:30am. I took the appointment. I walked into the building at 11:25 and stood there. Everyone was busy with a customer so I sat down in the chairs being that I was carrying a car seat after About 10 minutes. Even after 10 minutes No one assisted me, Not even to check me in! Another customer walks in and one of the reps assisted her. Then told me she will be with me in a moment. I’m thinking she probably didn’t see me the first time or thought I’d been helped. After she gets done assisting the customer. ANOTHER customer walks up that had already been there and started asking questions. She assisted her and then it turned into her assisting the rest of the group the customer was with. I thought she would have at least said, “I’m going to help you after I check her in” or something but no. So by this time I’m standing by the register to get the attention of ANYONE so I can be assisted. The rep finally comes over by the register, I’m like yesss finally! But NOPE! Another rep brought a customer from the back and asked if the rep at the register can check her out and gave her the insurance card like I wasn’t even standing right there! So I just walked out. I understand work can get busy but I didn’t even receive a Hi, sorry we are busy I’ll be with you shortly, or a have you been helped? Even when your busy IT IS YOUR JOB TO MAKE SURE CUSTOMERS ARE ASSISTED and ACKNOWLEDGED. But I literally Waited OVER 30 minutes and the only time I was spoken to was when I was told she will be with me in a moment. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Got in and out in about an hour, with no appointment. Only paid $17 out of pocket after insurance, this included a year supply or contacts and a pair of glasses. Astrid was very nice and helpful, kind of weird how you get a doctor via skype for your eye exam, but it got the job done! I would definitely reccomend and be coming back. Just wish they had more designer frames. I got a cheaper pair because I do not wear them as much but it would have been nice to have more choices. Otherwise overall a good experience!

This place is wonderful for glasses. If you have to just update your prescription and get new glasses, this is the place. They even can do most lenses in house, so youll have your new specs in an hour after you get your prescription. A nice variety of glasses as well. - This is not the place to have your eye health checked, just prescription check.

A noted subtle under-current of fly by night. An optical Rx from a skilledopthamologist elsewhere, when handed over for their on site lab tocraft into lenses turned out a blurry disaster. Any of the negativereviews hold truth in their dissatisfaction. Wasnt a pleasant experiencefor me, even though at first I wasnt taking mental notes of all the covertbusiness tricks.

RECEIVED AN UNUSABLE PRESCRIPTION!? If you’re looking for the 2/$59 you might as well not even bother. There were maybe 5 pairs available all straight from 1985. I’ve also never been to an eye store where they charge extra for lenses. At America’s Best, Zenni, etc (yes, I know this isn’t AB or any of those places) basic lenses are included in the price. I picked out 2 $159 frames and even after the BOGO promo it can’t out to nearly $500!! I can go almost anywhere else and get cheaper frames and lenses than that. I ended up just paying for my exam and leaving because I know there are much more affordable and quality options. The worst part, though is the prescription they issued me is unusable. Tried to order glasses from a few websites and am told “the OD cylinder value of 0.00 is not possible if the axis has a value greater than 0” Their prescription has my left eye sphere as -1, cylinder is 0, axis is 180. According to the internet that 0 is not possible since the axis is not 0 also. So I paid $45 for a useless prescription. The eye “doctor” there didn’t even do my exam, some guy via Skype did the exam.

Barb not only refused to give me the four boxes of contacts (6 month supply) that I ordered and paid for, but refused to give me a complete copy of the receipt showing the breakdown of cost. She took the receipt out of my husbands hand and put it directly into the shredder. Even after another employee who remembered me and my experience was telling her I should be receiving 4 boxes. This was after a horrible experience two weeks ago during my actual exam. The staff is completely untrained. There is no DOCTOR in the office - they appear on a screen from a call center. I spent over an hour waiting for the staff to figure out how to type my order into the computer and then waited longer while they had to call customer support to figure out how to input the correct price per their website. While I waited 3 customers came in complaining their glasses were not the correct RX. The staff told one customer that everything was entered into the computer correctly except the axis - and that should have nothing to do with how they are seeing. After leaving I was curious and simply googled how the axis affects your glasses. It drastically affects the line of sight out of glasses. After speaking to Greg at the corporate office, and confirming I didnt receive the proper order, Greg then called the store manager. I overheard their conversation. Greg was telling them that I was correct. Suddenly the call with the store manager was disconnected. I will definitely never return.UPDATE: I requested a copy of my receipt thru the corporate office. They emailed me a copy of someone elses receipt. A clear HIPAA issue considering it contained all of their personal information. I immediately emailed them back letting them know about the incorrect information.
