I had bought a pair of speakers to replace my stock speakers in my front doors. Simple swap. They installed them within 40 minutes! No damage to more door panels which is what I was concerned about. They charged $100 because he said he needed to make a modification. I still dont believe him but I paid the extra $20.

Was anxiously trying to get my subwoofers and amp installed before the nice weather and was doing some shopping around. Spoke with Mariano at the Northlake location. He was very patient in explaining to me the rest of the parts i would need for my install and different options to go with in order to fit my budget. When I showed up Kris at the front desk and Micheal were very courteous fitting me in their schedule for the actual very clean and professional install. They went above and beyond even going to their other location for missing pieces I needed. I recommend this place to whomever does NOT want a headache and a nest of wires!

POOR WARRANTY! POOR SERVICE!Excessive prices! Just 6 months with my remote starter and the controllers don’t work, I came asking for a digital controller they installed a controller just of buttons after that they blamed me for the confusion and they didn’t answer for their mistake my only 2 options, 1. take off the system and pay $200 and leave my car without alarm or 2. DONT COME TO THIS PLACE. Took my car in for a radio installation and when I came to pick up the car, the employee installing it was playing with my car and revving the motor way past 4,000 rpms!!!! When I tried confronting him by talking to the boss, he gave me attitude and refused to solve the issue or cooperate with me at all! This place mistreats cars !!!! Don’t take your car here !!! I hope the owner replies to this review so we can meet up and talk more about in person !

Install was good but called them for a adjustment on the Amp cuz my other Amp sounded louder the owner acted like he paid for it nothing but adutude.

First of all, don’t let this shop persuade you they don’t recognize my email account because I surely did make a large purchase from them. This place is very unprofessional, and techs and sales are amateurs. I bought a sound system and other components costing more than $2K. I had to return several times to have the system repaired after the install and they were never able to install what I paid for. Their explanation was, what you want is not available on your vehicle, even after they sold it to me. Best part about is, I went to Best Buy and they were able to clean up their mess with no issue but I had to spend more money unfortunately to have it done right. Even through the whole install process the sales guy gave me excuses as to why he didn’t call me when there was an issue. He’d rather ambush me with the issue when I arrived and I didn’t even have an opportunity to give my input as they had already decided what was best for me; since they didnt call me as the issue arose. Save yourself time, aggravation, disappointment and money and go somewhere else. Also they left cable insulation scraps everywhere along with wire scraps and other trash. I also found a scratch on my bumper which was not there. Clean up after yourselves guys, you are supposed to be a professional shop!!! I will not spend another dollar here.

Mariano is my salesman and is very polite and knows his product. I came in for remote start after talking to him I went ahead and got the service done. I called him a few weeks later to ask for sound prices and what I wanted. He told me to come in and had a few prices for me and speakers for me to choose from. I was a little nervous getting the sound and spending a good amount of $$, but when he called to tell me the car is ready I couldnt wait to hear! I wasnt disappointed!! Yes prices are a bit high but not all cheap work is good!

As a women, in my past experiences, you cannot just walk into any car place and get a service. I have been taken advantage of as “dumb” despite having background knowledge about cars. I went here to get my Auto Starter on my car. The staff members have so much product knowledge. They take the time to make you understand what you’re buying, how it works, etc. I felt extremely comfortable, confident, and satisfied with my service. I got the best price for my budget as well. I’ve had my auto starter for about a week now, worth every penny!!!Not only will I be back for future services, I will recommend anybody, especially women, to check this place out!

Sal and Luis were very helpful. I spoke to Sal on the phone but met Luis when I walked in. Luis was very detailed about the variety of tints and the benefits of them. Dont get me wrong, it was a bit more expensive than I expected BUT youre paying for good product. Dont expect to pay so cheaply for a product and expect good quality. Sal was also very helpful when I asked him about any future projects I was looking to get done on my car. Ill be back to get other modifications done to my car. 👍👍

First of all all the reviews are from one review type people most likely their friends theres an older Google review on this outfit and also check Yelp.for somebody thats been in business this many years they sure dont have a lot of reviews thats a red flag.For sure overpriced my fault for not doing more research. Doing gradual upgrade so far amp that I have no access to. installed behind fixed seat (no ability to fine-tune) component speakers up front and coax in the back doors.. Have no fading control over back door speakers. Apparently they were trying to save me money they said it will be all good once I get newhead unit. He admitted he should have told me this function will not be working otherwise I would have gone with the head unit been done with it but unfortunately the factory system sounded better up to this point not giving them a second chance.

Talked to Sal... great salesman, very knowledgeable.The team at sound bytes did my car in just a few hours... all the wiring and brackets were tidy and the sound is pretty tight. I spent a little more than I wanted to because its easy for people like me to get carried away.

Took my daughters car in for new remote start/alarm, explained the situation that she has moved away to Cali and we will be driving her car to her, we want her to be safe and not worry about her alarm not working since her car was equipped with a generic one and the alarm didnt work half the time. The store is clean and comfortable. They have alot of products displayed so you can actually see what you are buying instead of looking at it in a catalog or on line. I check for a location that could look at my car radio and possibly fix it. I called and Sal answered the phone I explained what I was looking for he said Of course, come in right away I am available! FIRST RED FLAG...So my daughter arrived in 15 minutes at 11am, and was told Sal was at lunch.SECOND RED FLAG...Then she was advised that there was a $65.00 fee to just look at it....funny that was never mentioned.THIRD RED FLAGThen I called and talk to the manager Lewis and said that I could callback and talk to Sal. I told him it was not a way to run a business and should be upfront with there fees.FOURTH and FINAL RED FLAG...Sal called me back obviously with having caller ID since I never gave anyone my phone number. I Called SoundBytes to get a quote for a alarm install on my truck and talked to Mariano about the job. I am very skeptical about shops as the last alarm install from a different business was a very bad experience and a amature install to say the least. Mariano re-assured me he would take care of the job and have the guys remove old alarm and install new one with GPS tracking to factory specs, and they did just that, very clean work and everything was soldered as it should be very happy with the install and 100% would recommend. They even showed me how to work the remote control and gps tracking and set it all up for me using drone mobile. I used snap finance as a means to pay for the service, very easy to use and they made it even easier and walked me thru setting up a account to pay. I went in because my Bluetooth calls didnt work.It wasn’t working becasue of the bootleg install the previous owner got.They rewired my stereo and replaced the blown speakers and it now works perfectly.Best part is that it was done incredibly fast. Nice work.

This place is so slow they never have their stuff organized and they take forever for estimates, they didn’t wanna put my aftermarket steering wheel cause they said it was illegal which it isn’t illegal. Worst place I ever been to wish I can give it no stars

First and foremost, I bought a pair of C5 components from soundbytes through progressive leasing. They remained unopened because I realized they weren’t compatible with my car. I returned them 3 days later. According to the return policy on the invoice, there’s no cash refund after 15 days. Sal tried to tell me there was a restocking fee and after arguing back and forth he then told me that since he PRICE MATCHED the speakers from JL AUDIO OFFICIAL WEBSITE, he can only exchange it out for store credit and I WILL NOT buy anything I have NO USE for.

Has 2 be 1 of da best places to get your sounds hooked up at around the Chicago land area. I took my Tahoe here to get my sounds hooked up.. I have 2 12in kicker and a kicker zxs 1500.1 amp.. they hooked it all up cum to find out the amp I order was fried.. I then talk to Sam ( sales associate) about what 2 do next.. He then went above and beyond and contacted kicker about the faulty amp I received and got them to send me an even better amp. A kicker kx1600.1. He didnt have to do that at all but he seen how disappointed I was and definitely turned my frown Around due to getting me an even better amp. Im telling u you will be satisfied by what they can offer u there at soundbytes. Just talk to Sal hes the man over there no doubt hell take care of you.....all day a five star place for car audio

This place is very expensive I came in with My radio for them to install in my Nissan MAXIMA and they charged me $150.... I mean I brought the radio with me and it feels like they charged me for it! I checked around afterwards everyone else says the most they should have charged was $100!
