Ive ordered over $1200 worth of stuff in the last couple months to build a new AR and most items were competitively priced and products I picked 2day s&h or slower mostly all went out quickly and arrived in 3-5days. I have had a couple orders that took 7-10days but those were usually the free s&h option and I did order my VG6 Break on 6/8 and its now 6/13 and I still think only a label had been made so hope its in mail soon since this is one of my last pieces. Customer service usually gets back fairly quickly but not always. I always make sure the item says in stock or that it ships in couple days or I order elsewhere and usually no issues. Im constantly using coupons and Planet Bucks to knock the price down and it does make a difference sometimes. As Of now I have no problem recommending these guys and they also have alot of parts that most people are out of including manufacturers.
Have placed over 2 dozen orders with optics planet and never had a issue, always satisfied.I once needed a product I had ordered Thursday morning to be here Saturday.Free 2 shipping was included for the item.I emailed customer service letting them know I needed it for Saturday since FedEx /UPS 2day does not delivery on weekends. They went above and beyond and included Saturday delivery for me at no extra charge, shipped order same day and had it by Saturday so I could enjoy my plans Sunday.For a place that gets around 5000+ orders day they went above and beyond.Will continue ordering from them until the doors closed which won’t be for a while hopefully
UPDATE: 10/18 - Products did arrive and were as ordered. But 9 day delivery after paying for Priority Mail service (2-3 days) is not acceptable. USPS delivery times can be out of OPs control. Research shows the majority of complaints against them is for delivery time. Between poor customer service and poor shipping times, it is hard to see them having high customer retention.Rating has been changed from a 2 up to a 3.ORIGINAL:Ordered Scope 10-09 with expedited shipping. Shipping label created 10-12. Status on 10-13 shows shipper has not accepted package. Unable to contact OP customer service. Right now cannot even be sure package actually shipped. At least two other major vendors selling same scope with excellent service and free 2 day delivery. OP not meeting their own promises.If OP continues to conduct business this way, they will no be successful. My rating can only go down, depending upon them actually delivering my order.
Placed an order for ammunition in November 2020. Other than an email acknowledging the order, Ive had no other communication except when I initiate an email to ask questions. They routinely push the shipping date back without notifying the customer. They billed my credit card right away, but 10 months later I still do not have the items. Ended up cancelling order today. They need to update their website to send automated emails when a ship date is postponed.
If i can do half a star I would. Its been over 5 days since i placed my ammo order and i still have no tracking. How do you have ammo in stock and take you more than 5 days to ship less than 800 rounds. Definitely the last time i order anything from this company. An email keeping you updated on your order would be nice. I should have learned from my last order
I tried to order some hearing protection. Was going to pay $300 for the Walkers ear buds. Placed the order. Due to my billing address not matching my ship to address the put the order on old. Was told to call them in a email so I did the rep on the other end said they took care of everything so I hung up and waited for my purchase. Not 2 but 3 more times this happened eith the same order and then the last rep wanted to play games with my bank account. And tried to tell me it was for my safety. I cancled the order. If OpticsPlanet wants to play games and not take my money then Ill take my money else were. Im going to make sure my church, coworks, family and friends avoid this place. I would leave 0 stars but cant do that with out leaving a comment.
Excited to order a whole bunch of ammo getting ready for the hunting season. Was told 1 to 3 business days for it to ship out. Called on day four because I hadn’t gotten an email confirmation. Was assured it was shipping ASAP. Called five days later because still had no email confirmation. Was told it was shipping soon. Canceled the order because it would not have arrived in time. No apology…no attempt to make me a happy customer. I will not be returning.
This company accepted my order for ammunition in Fall of 2020. Their website currently shows the same product as in stock on their website, at a higher price. Optics Planet is refusing to honor my order because “the packaging changed, so its not the same product”. I wish I could give them zero stars. They have not fulfilled any of the large orders I have placed. In some instances, they have fulfilled orders for specific products ordered at lower quantities, but have not fulfilled the orders placed on the same day for higher quantities.
Bought sling attachment, Red dot+magnifier and a lpvo within a few days of each other. Shipped very quickly. My favorite part is they where as low or lower priced than other places but they have great codes for free 2 day air, 15% off, etc. Plus I got almost $20 in optic bucks that I was able to knock even more off my next purchase. I wish I would have gotten the rest of my parts for my build through them
Get in where you fit in....right?The delays are annoying, but you’ll receive your order. The prices are good compared to other .com suppliers. And the biggest perk...they’ve actually got merchandise that others do not; ammunition, scopes, parts etc.They will respond to emails but not answer their phone. Seems a little sketchy, but I guess with Grandpa Joe handing out your tax dollars it’s difficult to hire basic help.In short, I’ll order again. I’m like a Willie Nelson is reverse, if you’ve got the ammo, I’ve got the time..
Ive just received my most recent order out of the 3 in the last month. Every order has been shipped fast and arrived in 2 days as they claim. Except for Memorial Day holiday. 3 days. Not OPs fault.Ive ordered a big $$$ Vortex scope, a Chronograph as well as all kinds of accessories.Great prices, prompt order processing and shipping.Glad to finally find a competent home town vendor.
This company is a great advertisement for Amazon. After looking at all of the complaints it looks as though they only get business from people that don’t look at the reviews until after they’ve been angered. I am one of those people. I made a small order and paid no mind to it. Less than $10. Two weeks later, I’m still looking for it. I’m glad my order was small. Maybe this company should work through Amazon.
Made my order back in March this year. Aside from the order confirmation email I havent received any emails until today, 24 august stating that my package has been delayed until September. Just be aware ordering from optics planet because the turnaround time for ordering online is 6 months. And they wont email you letting you know that until 5 months after ordering. Terrible experience. UPDATE: ITS NOW OCT 22 AND JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL THAT MY ITEM WONT SHIP FOR ANOTHER 3 MONTHS. WHAT A JOKE. WHY HAVE SOMETHING POSTED FOR SALE IF YOUR NOT GOING TO SHIP IT UNTIL A YEAR LATER! RIDICULOUS! BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY SEEMS LIKE A SCAM TO ME. Placed my order in Sept 2020. They canceled it July 2021 because they didn’t want to honor the price they quoted me. Had they at least reached out and communicated with me, I would have been willing to pay a higher price, but zero communication. Totally unprofessional. Will never deal with them again.

I ordered a scope as a birthday present so had it shipped to a friends address. After the 10 business days listed in the shipping time, I emailed Optics Planet to find out where the scope was. I received a sorry, you order is on hold with no explanation of why. When I asked why, they sent another email stating I had to change the shipping address to match the billing address or use PayPal. A few hours later, they sent third email stating the order was cancelled. I tried to call customer service and was on hold for eternity. I gave up and ordered through Amazon, which was cheaper anyway. Additionally, when I first ordered the scope, I asked a spec question and they told me to contact the manufacturer. Completely useless company.
Do you offer a frequent customer discount? Optics planet is great. I dont understand the negative reviews. I always get what I order fast, and prices seem good (I always shop around). are they out of stock of somethings? yes, but its the 2020s.. who isnt? They always provide updates and then some stuff ships sooner than expected.
BBB [Better Business Bureau] rates them a B- which is not good, BBB reviews are 1.12 stars out of 5, which is not good! Confirmation that this organization may not be a great place to do business with because they dont fill orders. I ordered July 2020, still no order fulfilled, they consistently push the [now I realize constantly false delivery date estimates] further and further into the future, no email notifications of any status whatsoever either, I cannot recommend this company! 1.9 stars on google reviews says something!
I scanned Optics Planet web site and saw available rifle ammunition. Instantly, I ordered one box of a common caliber ammunition (that was early December 2020) and the moment I pressed submit button, the order immediately showed “back order”. Every several weeks, I got an update that pushed my delivery dates months out at a time. After 9 months of waiting, my new projected delivery date is mid January 2022 (more than 13 months after my order).I cannot tell you my disappointment in Optics Planet. If you cannot provide a product, simply don’t list it or put a caveat that says wait time in indeterminable.Stay away from Optics Planet period; do not trust them.
Poor business that lacks customer support and basic business principles. Try to get help with a shipment that they neglected by not securing an item in the box. Oil should always be secured in packaging prior to shipping. Unfortunately, they didn’t professionally do this. Arrived all leaked out over everything else. Sad to say the least. Never again on this end. You lost by business and those in my inner circle.
Ordered laser hand stop on 7/3. Shipped on 7/6 but never accepted by post office. After multiple follow ups they re-shipped it on 7/27. Now it has been sitting at their warehouse “label created waiting for pickup” for 4 days with no movement. It’s 8/2 and I am finally receiving my hand stop in today’s mail. It should not have taken a month to receive an in stock item.

They canceled my order after ordering back in October of 2020. Kept pushing back my order and when confronted about it was the old Were working tirelessly to fulfill it. Those dates are provided by the manufacturer. So call the manufacturer they told me that theyve never heard of them. Call back Opticsplanet at 11:36am they said It is weird that would say that let me get a supervisor and Ill have them call you before the days out. I wait; I call back at 3:09pm and they said Were open until 7pm and theyll get ahold of you before that. I call back at 7:05pm it said they were closed. I was told last Monday I would get a call my Wednesday it has been over a week now and they still havent called me back. Please go to literally any other site to get ammo. Sportsmans Guide has a decent selection.
Not only did I receive the wrong item, but the item i received was also used. Everyone I dealt with through email could not help correct the problem. I was unsuccessful at getting through to anyone over the phone. All of the negative reviews for this company are accurate, and obviously this company has not done anything to make their business better for the buyer.
Just canceled my ammo order from this company. The ammo was advertised and was ( I assumed) available. Its been 8 months since I ordered it and, after having the delivery date pushed back repeatedly, I called to find out what was wrong. I was told that, if an item isnt in stock, the customers are put on a waiting list until it becomes available (In this case, maybe years). I dont recall that being made clear on the website that it was not in stock. Maybe others are more familar with this waiting list method of sales but, i have not seen this with other retailers. Generally, if its not in stock its listed as such and the order isnt allowed to be processed. Seems misleading to me. Just wanted to pass on this info to other perspective buyers.
I ordered a handguard with an ETA of 5-7 wks. The date has been continuously pushed back and now it isn’t expected until the end of November. That is over eight months from the original delivery date. Optics Planet holds no responsibility and does not intend to apply any sort of mediation. Their customer service is absent at best simply replying with pre-scripted garbage. If I hadn’t used my store credit to make this purchase I would 100% be going elsewhere. They have lost all credibility in my book. FYI this isn’t the first issue I have had with receiving items even those “in stock”. There sales practices are borderline deceptive.
Dont buy from them. Ive been waiting for a year for a order, that still has a status of unknown eta. Eventhough they are selling the same product still for a higher cost. Ive contacted multiple times with receiving no help other than telling me when they have it, they will send it. Funny part is, they are selling it in on their site. This 12months has been the longest 2-4 week backorder ever.
I stopped using opticsplanet a few years ago due to abysmal shipping times. Ive started using them in the last 6 months as theyve started shipping in an acceptable time frame again. However, Im tax exempt. Trying to deal with them on getting this applied to orders is a nightmare. It used to be simple, call CS and they got it taken care of. Now they want you to send it to an email address that is basically an abyss. Theyve made it incredibly hard to deal with. Ive never had issues like this with Rainier, Primary Arms, Bauer, or Botach.
I ordered ammo a year ago and now theyre showing it in stock but still havent shipped my orders, but they have the gall to send me promos on the same product. I recently ordered shoes that were in stock and theyreexpected to ship in two weeks, almost like they have to order it first. Poor business. If there was less than one star Id give them that rating.
Something has gone off the rails with this company. I recently ordered a $310 red dot optic which was indicated to be in stock. 7 days later and my order remains in processing limbo while the website now shows the optic back ordered for an indefinite period. Calls to support get a useless ambiguous automatic update. What makes me mad is that I opted to buy from this supplier for a lousy $15 savings over what I would have paid at a local gun store. Now Ill have to cancel the order and wait for the charge to be reversed to my card.Ive spent over $5000 this year on firearms and firearm related supplies. It will be a cold day before I do business with these guys again. Ive removed their bookmarks in my browser and flagged their spam to go to my junk mail folder. It looks like a others are having the same issues based on recent reviews.
I purchased 1000rds of Winchester 9mm ammunition in September 2020, upon seeing it was in-stock ready to ship. Despite being listed it as such, I immediately got a message saying that my order would be delayed 4-6 weeks. Those delays got continually delayed infinitely for almost a year. Through COVID I was rather understanding. I then noticed that they were selling the same ammunition in-stock almost a year later (different packaging), but refused to fulfill my order, and told me that that ammo is reserved for others. (Meaning whoever will pay the current advertised price) They then changed my order without my approval and attempted to charge me over 2X what my original order agreement was. It was only stopped from a freeze on my card. Do not deal with this manipulative, untrustworthy company. Worst company ethics I have ever encountered.EDIT: I have received no correspondence. Avoid this company.
Please keep in mind that they’ve been running a very limited staff because of the pandemic for over a year now. Also keep in mind that people are more inclined to leave a review if they have a bad experience, when reading these reviews. I understand it’s been frustrating with longer processing and response times, but that is all the result of the pandemic.Every experience that I’ve had with OpticsPlanet has been wonderful, even the ones where I ran into some issues, they’ve always been more than helpful. They always have the best prices, and in normal times, I’ve always gotten items I’ve ordered within 2-3 days. This is my go-to place for almost everything.
They dont even deserve one star. Ordered an optic over a month ago still hasnt arrived, was finally able to get ahold of a rep to start a claim which was done and now they are requesting payment for the optic a second time AND at a higher price than the initial purchase. These guys never pick up the phone and I wont be buying through them again.

I placed a ammo order in November 2020. 10-14 day lead time . After 3 delays over 8 months I gave up. Canceled both orders after waiting 8 months. Their website would only allow me to cancel one of the two orders. So 20 minutes wasted on phone to cancel the other order. I would NOT recommend this company

I purchased a rifle scope from optics planet and I’ll be honest I was a little nervous about my purchase. I purchased the scope before I read the reveiws for them which is highly unusual for me. I’ve read a lot of reveiws for companies before I’ve purchased but can’t ever remember a company with so many awful reviews. So I ordered my scope on a Sunday it shipped on Monday and arrived in excellent condition on Wednesday. To say I was relieved that I even got it is a understatement. Maybe all the bad reviews were due to COVID and supply and shipping issues. But there’s has to come a time when retailers have to stop using this past years problems as a excuse not to take proper care of there customers. Maybe there back on track to being better able to serve there customers well. So overall I’m happy with my purchase and the quick service i received from optics planet. My advice is to read the company reviews before making a purchase not after you purchase it that way you want worry yourself about it. Also, I can’t confirm this transaction caused the fraudulent transaction I had two hours after making this purchase on my debit card but I read some of the reviews stating it happened to them so be careful, use a credit card instead. Luckily they didn’t take everything I have before my bank caught it. I’ve had a debit card since debit cards where first invented and this was the first time I’ve ever had it happen.
Take heed those that are interested in buying from Optics Planet. My experience has been terrible when dealing with them. On their website, they showed a specific item that I wanted to purchase. It showed in stock and put in my cart, OP then sent a bounce back email reminding me it was still in my cart which then motivated me to make the purchase. The day after the transaction, I checked to see if it was shipped and the order was cancelled. On a live chat, they couldnt give me any answers. I also emailed them to get resolution- which they never responded to. I then called customer service and they said it was out of stock. While on the phone, I pulled up their site and the item still shows available. No resolution, no response, no make good. NOTHING. Would not recommend buying from them.
Im never buy from them again, I order on June 10th parts for a ar build which I want to finish before 4th of July, the parts said in stock a soon as I ordered I received a message the one of the parts was not going to be in stock till June 23th but the other one was on stock, they didnt sent neither one, on July 1 I sent a email to cancel, they said that they can cancel one but the other had been send. They send me a second email with the tracking 3hrs later they didnt shipped intill July 2

An automated message told me that they werent able to respond to voice messages at this time due to heavy volume. About 5 minutes later the same automated voice told me they couldnt answer my call due to heavy order volume, please leave a voice message. (No joke!)I wont order from them again.

Have placed several orders with Optics Planet in the past and those experiences was great. From the time I placed those previous orders and it was shipped I received those items withins days.This time was horrible, I placed an order with couple of in stock items that shows it was supposed to be ship within a couple of days. My credit card was charged right away and I got an email that my order was being prepared to ship within an hour or two of placing the order. A week later nothing has been shipped. Multiple attempts to contact Optics Planet where I was given fancy words that my order was being “expedited” and “a case was being open and escalated and a manager was suppose to reach out” which never happen. I just need my order packed and shipped. This place is horrible, last time ordering from them.
You have about a 20% chance of your order actually being in stock and receiving it within 2 weeks. You have an 80% chance of being told the item is in stock over and over for 4+ weeks only to then be told its out of stock with no ETA.It is incomprehensible how an online retailer in the year 2021 can be this bad. I wish I could share my order history page with everyone, it reads like a horror film.Do not be lulled into a false sense of confidence just because a few people, myself included, have a had a good experience with OP (also known as Order Processing). You WILL regret it.
Not sure what happened to this company but they cant ship an order in any timely manner. Gave them a second chance recently to see if things changed. My order took twice as long as quoted and an email later, finally shipped.
Said a sight was in stock. Waited 2 weeks, still pending. Called in, they said they are going to put it on expedited priority. 2 days later still not shipped.... Did get a refund, but that bar is pretty low. Got it somewhere else for the same price in a week.
Ordered a in stock item on April 26th and still hasn’t shipped out even with me paying for shipping. I’ve been buying from Optics Planet for years and this is the worst they have ever been. Yes the increase for gun items has gone up since the “Coof” hit last but don’t say in-stock items ship in 1-3 business days. I work at a high end gun store so I know how things are personally. Worthless, they overcharged me and refused to refund $346.00, hundreds of emails with little to no response, terrible customer service, ordered over $1500 worth of parts from them . Will never shop there site again, only use them a price comparison. When items that were in stock it took them forever to ship. Makes me wonder if they even own merchandise. Maybe they offer it on their site and have to wait until another provider ships it to them. Buyer beware, wish there was a way to leave less than one star.

They charged me two weeks ago for my order and it has yet to ship. The first time I contacted them I get a message saying it has been pulled for shipping from the warehouse and they hope to send it soon. A week later I send a second email saying I want to cancel. They respond word for word with the same BS email and they didnt cancel the order. I have dealt with a few companies with shipping delays during Covid, but none of them charged me before they shipped.UPDATE: I still have a $336 charge on my credit card from this company and no product shipped and no order canceled. I got two emails from them claiming the items is in stock, yet you can see below that the owner says its on backorder. If you like auto response messages via email that are BS, only finding out your items are delayed after writing a one star review, and then having to contest the charge on your credit card to get your money back, then this is the company for you.

Ordered 9 mm bullets that showed in stock online, after placing the order my confirmation email indicated that there was a four month wait. That was 10/1/20... 4 days ago I received an email stating that the ammo was now in stock but my order was canceled because I didnt confirm the order 7 days prior? It also stated that my card hadnt been charged. Today I received a call stating that my card had been charged and that my order was being placed again on backorder for four months. I politely told them to cancel it and to send me a refund. Because of the great shortage on ammo, they will satisfy more profitable customers according to region or purchase history.

Ive used Optics Planet for years... and theres been bumps along the way, like the time I asked for a scope mount shipped to me while I was deployed to Afghanistan and they refused saying that a scope mount was a Restricted item... same day I got it from another dealer sans Restriction BS. So of late, Ive ordered night vision, and had to fight back and forth for WEEKS before theyd finally ship what they show as in stock. This time around I ordered a Laser, and though it shipped quickly it arrived NOT WORKING. I went through their Return Procedure, shipped them back the NOT WORKING item, which they say is in stock, and now they tell me it will take TWO TO FOUR WEEKS TO SHIP ME THE REPLACEMENT... whoever is Managing their Customer Service department SHOULD BE FIRED.
Bait and Switch. I put stuff including a VCOG in my cart putting together a big order. Then Bam! later they raised the price on it before my order was placed!!! Also, I had to return a defective item, that I was going to put towards my VCOG then they informed me that it would take over a MONTH for my return credit to post to my OP account, during which time my 10% coupon code conveniently expired. I was even doing an excang so they didnt have to eat the CC return fee. When you purchase something in february, then have a representative explicitly tell you that your order is guaranteed to be shipped by the end of march, you hear nothing until almost the end of april to find out its back ordered until 2022.This company is unbearable to work with and I will never buy from them again.The least you could do, is not lie to the customer. Honesty and integrity keep customers more than inventory.Disgraceful.
I had ordered a telescope mount in November. They claimed it was shipped but I never received it. I was told a replacement would be shipped but they never did after more than 30 days from the time I started the claim. When I asked for a refund, they said they had to wait for UPS to declare the package as lost which they already did since I had to start the claim myself. Customer service is not helpful at all. Everyone tells you something different every time you call them. Total confusion. Stay away from them.
I tried purchasing in stock items web site said itll take 1-3 days for items to ship. I recieved 2 emails that same day 1st was conformation 2nd saying there getting my order ready, that was BS 7 days later I just canceled my order and will never buy from this company again. I wish negative stars was an option. I will definitely warn everyone to avoid like the plague.

One week after ordering a very basic item, I received an email that my order was on hold because I used an international email address. 5 days just to receive that BS email. Total waste of time. Tried to phone, no operators available. Repeated recording offering excuses about their understaffing. Dont bother.
Honestly every order I have placed I received within 2 weeks or sooner and been the correct part/stuff I order, plus i dont mind waiting for a ten day processing because when finally shipped takes about 4 to five days to arrive from Illinois to Washington State but have received packages sooner just have to see what you order check availability and reviews on a particular item sorry for those with bad experiences but Im happy with my experience with optics planet also I found it pretty easy to cancel a order when needed to when a order of mine was expected to shipped until Christmas and no trouble placing a following order that was in stock and now is shipping after just about a week I placed the order.
Terrible. Ordered a part I needed within a month that the website said was in stock. They charged it out of my account but order was still being “processed” after 2 weeks. Called both numbers I could find for them and no answer. Emailed asking about the status of my order and got some bogus automated response that didn’t answer my question. After 3 weeks I ended up canceling the order. Spent $10 more at a different place and had it shipped to my door in 3 days. Don’t waste your time with optics planet!
I ordered a scope for a rifle and I saw the back up of around 10 business days before my purchase would be shipped. Once I passed that timeframe I called and asked a customer service representative, who isn’t at the warehouse, and couldn’t tell me anything beyond “don’t worry it will be shipped” she did say she would send an expedited request which apparently did nothing, because the status hasn’t moved. I sent two emails and received more of the same. The background noise sounds like the customer service reps are working from home, so they have no idea. I didn’t have this problem last year, but optics planet has fallen apart. I will be shopping elsewhere
I ordered a 2 and 3/4-in billet - half the order was missing.I called the same day I received it, l waited 20 minutes on the phone and finally left a voicemail for a call back. I also left an email and I did not receive an answer for almost a week and a half.When they did email they asked me for confirmation number (which I no longer had), they couldnt seem to find my order without it, nor were they willing to replace the missing part.They didnt like my review on their web page so they declined it.I will not be ordering anything from them again.
Stay away from this company.It takes them 10 days to ship out stuff, and even if I cancelled on day 2 they would still ship the item out now i have to deal with sending it back etc.Terrible terrible customer service (none) and all over the place. Order anywhere else but here
Ordered 2 items from this company that were supposedly in stock. Just received an email notice that one of the items wont ship for 2 months. Never heard anything about the other item. No one answers the phone and they make it very difficult to cancel existing orders. This company needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I ordered a POF ambi QD end plate a few weeks ago and when it showed up, they had sent the single point one. Whatever, aggravating but no big deal. I call and get a return label, to their credit they sent the replacement almost immediately and I needed it before a 3 gun competition, and send mine back.I received the replacement arrived a week or so later and they made the same mistake again. Now Im getting mad, I go through the same process as I did last time but this time they wont expedite the process to meet my window so I miss the date I wanted the rifle finished by, and send my plate back again.Last Friday I received my third try from them. Guess what, THE SAME SINGLE POINT SHOWS UP. I can understand screwing up once or even twice but three times? Really? How are you guys in business if this is how you operate? Now Ive had my time wasted 3 times between calling customer service and running to UPS to send the wrong one back. Im currently on the phone with customer service for the 374759th time so theres another 30 minutes of my life gone waiting on hold. Ill update this once they figure out what to do and someone picks up.Id also like to point out that Optics Planet was a good $15 higher than the next competitor when I was shopping yet they were the only ones in stock. Im not sure if thats a normal practice for them or if theyre taking advantage of customers due to current market conditions.Ill trust wish.com to provide me parts in the future since atleast the Chinese can get my order right.
Made my first order with optics planet. On August 11 2020 I ordered a law tactical folding adapter. Today is November 1st, order status says it’s expected to be delivered November 12th. I won’t be ordering from these people again. I had a custom built pistol, built and shipped in less than 6 weeks. These people can not ship an item they say they have.
I filed with the Better Business Bureau yesterday against this company for holding my $453 hostage on a order from mid January that I immediately canceled. Due to OpticsPlanets incompetence they billed me and sent the order anyway. Today I report fraud at my bank and file legal action against this scam of a company.
Well the rest of the reviews say it all really. best to avoid. My experience was just as horrible.
Here is how Optics Planet works.In their old days they never would tell in stock till you ordered it!Then they email you not in stock! and you would wait forever.Now their new trick is to be so SLOW with your order that you look elsewhere and cancel.BUT WAIT! When you cancel it takes days and they now HURRY to ship your order because you want to cancel.Then they charge you to return if you want a refund (which you should get because you cancelled 3 days ago) but only store credit.So do not order from this Midway wantabe and order else where.
I ordered an upper for an AR build. 1 month out to ship product, cool. 1 month passes they bump the shipping out another two weeks. Ok Ill be patient. 2 days prior to new shipping date my elusive ship date gets bumped another 6 weeks!!!!! This company blows!!!!I will never order from this company again.Huckleberry Arms! I ordered upper and they shipped same day!!!! Go there!!!!
After placing my order I saw all the negative reviews and got a little worried about receiving my order months later or even at all. But everything turned out great. I did receive an email notifying me of a delay and then another for the shipping confirmation. I received my order in just over 2 weeks, well packaged and as described.I’m not discounting any of the negative reviews just letting you know my own personal experience was worth the slight delay.
POS, OP is the new Cheaper than the Dirt of online. order glove, dummy round, mount. All in stock, but take 30 days still not shipped. requested cancel my order, few days later my order shipped out. all three arrives in different boxes, pretty obvious they are drop shipping. Requested refund, item returned, no refund, email support and they said will take 4-5 weeks. OP is now on my blacklist, never again
We ordered a few items from Optics Planet a month ago and still have not received them...its supposedly still being processed. Shipping was only supposed to take 14 days, MAX (according to their website).
Well I’m gonna sound like a broken record base off some of the other receive just read. I ordered a light from them a month ago, the day after I ordered it I received an email stating thy it had intact shipped... WRONG it never shipped and to my knowledge still hasn’t. I’ve reached out to the company multiple time to cancel the item and get my money refund, but with no result. I am reporting them to my credit card company and opening a case against them to try and get my money back! Beware of this company! My friends and I have some side bets on when their business will tank!

Extremely poor experience with Optics Planet. Straight up false advertising on the site for est ship dates, vet discounts and warranty periods. Major junk show placing high-value orders. The rep also lied about when my card would be charged for a backorder. The ship date is 2-3 times longer than advertised. Now they are unresponsive for cancellations and refunds. Cant get a supervisor on the phone to save my life. Terrible company. I will never do business here again.
I see there are a lot of reviews about long shipping wait times and hassles with returns, but this couldn’t be further from my experience. The item I ordered (incorrectly as it happens) was shipped with a tracking number in my email in less than 24 hours. When it was delivered and I realized I had ordered the wrong item, the no-questions-asked return policy couldn’t have been easier. I received a refund to my card and a confirmation email noting the refund promptly (within 5 business days of shipping it back). I will definitely be shopping again.
I made a return for a refundAnd I didn’t receive anything then I reached out and they responded 4 days later saying “10days” by that time it was 21 days since they received the return package then I reached out again and they responded, another 4 days later and said “2-4weeks” by that time it was already 4 weeks later and nothing. They have no idea what’s happening at that company.Plus they don’t answer their phone, return messages or respond until at least 4 days later.Still waiting on over $100 and nobody is helping.Find somewhere else!
Received the scope just in time for Christmas. Tracking was a little strange, but it seems to be on UPSs end. These guys are probably slammed right now, so I am impressed that I got my order within a week.
First and last time I do business with this company. I ordered a few upgrades for my AR and they seemed to have great prices compared to other websites but after you do business with them you will know why the price is soo competitive. Most of the items they show in stock are NOT and after you buy it they then order the item from their supplier. Before i paid the items it showed me 3-5 days delivery, now it has been going on 2 months and the order is not ready, they dont answer the phone or call back. DO NOT TRY TO SAVE $10-$20 GO WITH A BETTER COMPANY
If you havent ordered from Optics Planet yet, consider yourself fortunate...Ive been waiting on the arrival of an order for a handful of In Stock items for nearly 3 weeks. Payment for my order was charged to my card immediately, and the order went into awaiting fulfillment status within a couple days. Under normal circumstances with a reputable company, this would actually indicate your order is being processed. For Optics Planet, all it means is your money is now being held hostage. At this stage, your order cannot be cancelled, customer service reps cannot be reached/will not respond to order inquires (admittedly so on their voicemail recordings), and they bought themselves an indefinite amount of time to process your order. Still holding my breath on that last part, despite the fact that I live within an hour of their fulfillment center..Im both shocked and discouraged to see that many other customers are in similar positions, some of which are much much worse than my own. Im chalking this up to a learning experience, to do your research on companies prior to buying. Best of luck to the rest of you who are dealing with the same!
They list in stock when it isnt. They say they ship in four days, but mean two weeks. When you cancel the order, they still ship it and tell you they cant stop the shipment, which takes a week to actually ship after they generate a shipping label. They wont ship to a PO Box and have to verify your address that they have shipped packages to in the past, and when you tell them that the post office wont deliver to your physical address, they ship by UPS Surepost, which turns the package over to the post office for delivery to your address, that the post office wont deliver to. Thank God I kept the e-mails. Im not even going to mess with a return. Im just going to file a fraud case with my bank and have them get my money back. They can try to get their merchandise back from the post office, if its actually even there. Avoid them at all costs!
Took 2 weeks plus to get things shipped. Finally after 2 weeks of shipping i got. However was missing 1 important piece. Called they arent sure what they did or didnt send me. Apparently they cant see it. They have no communications between channels. Yes they may have everything you need but is it worth the headache of not knowing when things will be shipped and if they shipping some or all. Buy at your own risk.
I have ordered in 2019, 2020, and 2021 and have recieved all orders on time as expected. They have good quality products, like Knights Armament, Magpul, etc.
Recently I Ordered an equatorial mount from OpticsPlanet that no one else had in stock, OpticsPlanet even had it for a lower price than everyone else. I placed my order without researching much about the company for fear that the mount might go out of stock. After placing my order I started reading reviews about the company and immediately got concerned after reading all the negative experiences of so many. Long story short, my experience was great. The mount was in stock as stated in their website, and I received it in 7 business days even though it got delayed by UPS a couple of days in a nearby city. The Covid-19 pandemic has put a lot of strain on small business and specially in delivery companies, so keep that in mind when ordering online. I recommend OpticsPlanet.
Ordered $250 worth of items, order was delayed and we found the items elsewhere. Submitted a cancellation request not only once but twice because I didn’t receive a confirmation the first time. Now, several weeks later I got an email stating the order was prepared to be shipped. I cannot get ahold of or a response from anyone.
Multiply times 2 or 3 the expected length untill delivery. I ordered an upper reciever after being told it was in stock, been 2 weeks and nothing, then I check order status and sais it wont be here till November! I emailed them and they take forever to respond and when they do they might ad well have not have emailed at all cuz they are not helpful at all. Then I check product as if I were to buy again and it sais 14 to 20 days to ship, and I sent another email and then they respond, we have a limited quantity available to our valued customers. So I guess the thousands of dollars I have spent here doesnt make me a valued customer.

Ordered steel targets through Optics planet that we listed as in stock. They were poorly packaged and the box showed up with a huge hole in it and half of the plates missing. Customer service cannot be reached, they do not respond to voice mail, and the replacements they promised have not shown up after two months. This is a terrible company. Support your local guys or even the Amazon monster. At least with amazon you get good customer support.
