The person who helped me was terrific. Jata at the Deerfield Verizon store. he was professional and helpful. a great asset to Verizon.
The sales and service staff at this location have always -- repeat, always -- been able to help us with our phone and accessory needs and infrequent temporary phone issues. Very good and experienced personnel to a person. The only hiccup in my dealings here occurred on August 1, 2021, when the store was told to close on Sundays as a pandemic safety reduction. There were about a dozen of us waiting outside their door at opening time that morning. No sign stating that they werent going to be there. We finally all filtered away, and presumably returned on Monday. Better local communication is needed for spur of the moment changes like this.
I dont understand why this store gets some bad reviews. I had two occasions where I was when I walked inside and had fantastic service through the entire experience. Even though I received a pair of ear buds that wouldnt pair they immediately gave me new pair for the pair I had purchased the day before. Great customer service it isnt that you will run into issues but how you deal with them. Very friendly service and good recommendations
Friendly employees willing to educate customers.
Slow service. Waited in line for 40 minutes. Tried to use device dollars only to find that most devices dont qualify. Can only be used on a phone purchase or tablet or watch. No other devices qualify. Useless perk
Waiting time is atrocious. many standing around doing nothing incloding one of the managers who was dismissive rude and not helpful.
Liars. They lied about a lot but the thing that upsets me the most is that they told me T-Mobile would not have good service even if they are cheaper but after doing a LITTLE research, I found out that the 4G LTE is basically the same and on top of that I found out that the 5G coverage is vastly better than Verizon has to offer. I am disappointed in the fact they can just lie to their customers. The T-Mobile store next to this store were much better at explaining coverages and speeds, using un-biased resources like Open signal. Highly recommend the T-Mobile next door and avoid the deceptive sales tactics of this store.
My husband and I went to this store to buy a new phone. The manager came over and said there is an hour wait We asked why and notes there was only one person in line ahead of us. He then told us we did not know what was going on. He was unprofessionally dressed with an untucked wrinkled shirt and his mask did not cover his nose. Won’t be returning.
Very helpful excellent response, great management. Product knowledge very welcoming to help with any issues
I pay a bit more for Verizon, their network and premium service. I went into this retail location to consider upgrading my services and phones. While I like Verizon as a service, this location does not know how to treat customers. I have been with Verizon for 18 years. Unfortunately, I am more knowledgeable about their product lines and technology than thier staff.I dont go to T- Mobile or AT&T because I want to have a business class experience vs a mass consumer one. I feel that my time is valuable and want to be treated as such. This is especially true if I am paying more for it.While I understand that social distancing has made the retail environment difficult, Verizon needs to understand that it is far more expensive, to gain a new customer than keep an old one.
Robert was helpful and patient. Best Verizon experience ever!
The staff was very helpful and very patient.
Nice people
One of my favorite version stores always fast and friendly service
I have waited over nine days for a tablet replacement from Asurion that suffered a cracked screen. I was told by Mo at this Verizon store that repairing the screen would take one hour to fix that day, December 27th, once I visited a nearly Asurion facility. The number in the brochure that Verizon and Mo gave me was not even an Asurion number. I found the correct number for Asurion and was told I would need to be sent a replacement device. I use my tablet for work every day, seven days a week so not having a useful tablet is a big problem. Asurion then sent me a tablet that was 50% smaller than one the that I had, barely larger than a cell phone, not suitable for work. I called Asurion again to ask for a larger one. The only comparable tablets were on back order. Kenesha at Asurion told me the larger tablet would arrive in 3-5 days. The tablet has not arrived, it has been 9 days. I went to the Asurion site today to provide feedback to the customer site and to the CEO but both of those links are down. I am asking for a tablet of comparable size and functionality to the one that I am paying Verizon and Asurion for and in a timely manner, meaning one or two days. Verizon and Asurion have not lived up to one thing they told me nor in any way gotten me the product or service that customers should expect. Please contact me to resolve. Eight of the most recent 9 reviews below have Verizon responding, we are sorry for the service. I dont need an apology, i need a tablet. Please get me the tablet that I am paying both Verizon and Asurion for.
Verizon texted me that I was eligible for an upgrade, so I made an in store appointment to see what options I had. I went there. The guy couldnt help me at all. He said that I had to call the number in the text and talk to the Sales Department. But he didnt go over any phones or options available to me. It was like pulling teeth and I had to direct the conversation the whole time to try to get him to push some sales on me. I need a new Iphone. I intend to buy one. Why dont you want to push or sell one on me? Giant waste of time. Not even informative on what Verizon has to offer.Today, I called the Sales Department, and it was like even worse. Turns out Im not eligible for the deal Verizon texted me about. I asked him that if Verizon texts me again saying Im eligible for an upgrade, should I just disregard the text? And he said I should call. I really kind of cant believe no one at Verizon wants to sell me an Iphone.Their attitudes are most likely the result of a lack of motivation due to Verizons employment policies. They probably dont get commission, and Im sure it sucks to work for Verizon. Its not them, its Verizon. Im checking out TMobile later today.
I had an issue with the offer they gave me for 2 phones and no one here seems to be helpful or have any clue... I was getting charges and I had to call the actual Verizon to fix my account. They couldn’t do anything here this is authorized Verizon store. I recommend going to actual Verizon store if you need anything. Thanks to this store I realized that now.
This is a corporate store. Im not crazy about attitude of some staff or the fact (it seems to me ...) youre treated like cattle at times, IN/OUT!You dont want to buy phone cases, screen covers here ... absurd, high retail pricing! Get your stuff on Amazon, inexpensively. If your service person isnt helpful ... ask for the manager. Shocking how service improves in a snap!
Came in December 26th to ask about my Bill and how I can terminate and unlock my phone. If you’re not purchasing anything (service or device) prepared to be dismissed and given a piece of paper... (see pictured) ... apparently they don’t have access to our account to unlock or terminate or really do anything other than anything that would increase your bill. I was told “your new carrier carrier can help you unlock your phone... I’m with another customer now..” 2 stars bc the guy who help me check in was cool. I don’t think it’s the stores fault it’s really Verizon overall service that really lacking.
One of the few brick and mortar Verizon locations on the North Shore of Chicago where you can get full service. Its an actual company store. The staff are always helpful and management knows how to cater to its clientele. Ive been given exceptional attention at this location whenever IM be had an issue with my mobile phone for the last 10 years.
They say one thing but when I get the bill its different, I had to talk on the phone and customer service had to change my bill. Almost got roped into paying $40 extra. Workers here also have a slight attitude, watch out.
I love this place. I can go in as an old duck and they are so nice to me when I dont understand. I think the young man who helped me this time was Brent? And he was so patient. I like that he didnt try to up sell me or get me into a new phone, because I was asking questions about some of the new ones. I know I will have to upgrade at some point but Im not ready yet. But he answered all my questions and explain differences in models without the pressure. If he had done that I would have walked.
Didnt resolve my subpar phone service issue. Tried to sell me a $250 network extender that I received for free after calling Verizon customer service.
The employees couldn’t be bothered to try to answer my questions and help me. They were not service oriented. Verizon should have tech support in the stores! The store is unorganized and the employees only seem interested in sales.
I broke my phone right before Christmas and ordered online, expecting a phone within a couple days. Verizon sent a text to verify and of course I didnt get it without a phone so my order was deleted. Got online with a chat rep, very helpful, but theyre were still problems getting my phone paid for, but I had no way to know. Got very frustrated so I went to the Northbrook Verizon to hopefully just but a phone and be done. A young gentleman greeted me at the door and in about an hour I had a new phone and the online order was cancelled! Restored my faith in Verizon, I was so close to changing carriers.
Terrible!! The man that I bought my phone with failed to explain my whole plan. He screwed my whole plan up and didn’t set up my new phone properly! When I called the manager to complain, he seemed to not care/didn’t have anything to say back. I will defiantly be choosing a different location next time.
Nice store but the employees could use more training
Wish I read the reviews before going to this location. Unfortunately its too late, but I strongly suggest going elsewhere to establish service. The staffer working with us was not helpful, and very misguiding.
Well there are more than eight errors on the new service I ordered. The salesman may have been trying to make more bonus money. When I returned and spoke to the manager, he made made several adjustments to the plan and apologized. So I am changing the review.I had bought some attachments which I tried to return. I was a few day late and the manager would not extend the return policy.
Apathetic towards maintaining customer business relationships.I went in for the 4th time this month for an Apple phone, this time to consult about the exterior camera failing to function. They told me it was a software problem and could not be fixed. I was directed to an Apple store to have them diagnose its issue, so I asked who would be responsible for my lost time and frustration of the failure to have a functioning phone. Apparently its Apples fault and they cannot help me as their customer. This store does not care for maintaining its trust between a customer and their business. They made no attempt in reimbursing my time, money, or trust in this store. They simply tried to update, told me to hard reset my phone, and many other answers that had loose strings. There was no definite fix to the phone they sold me, only unprofessional answers to deflect the fault away from themselves. I have around 6 days to get this phone fixed, according to their warranty, I have serious doubts they would even try to help me with that approach.Tl;dr- Dont trust this store to be prompt in resolving any phone issues, theyre ready to point the blame towards another company to avoid refunds, reimbursements or any sort of consolation of their own errors.
Staff was very kind and helpful
Had a horrible experience here three years ago. I went in again with low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised at the service I received. I worked with Daniel this time and he was great. He greated me as I walked in and was kind and professional the entire time.
Had a good salesperson. Very knowledgeable and no pressure.
Admi at the Skokie location took total accountability for a complicated series of mistakes that disconnected my telephone number and continued to charge me, even though I had no telephone text service. Admi was very polite to corporate associates who were less than helpful. He was tenacious in accomplishing what several of your corporate customer service reps said couldn’t be done. The truth seems to be that they simply didn’t want to put forth the effort that my rep Admi at your 9328 Skokie Blvd store in Skokie did. He spent over an hour and 1/2 assisting me while also assisting other customers to keep everyone served efficiently. He is a stellar employee with a high standard of ethics and a customer service work ethic of the highest quality! Your lazy, pass-the-buck, corporate customer service should receive training from this rep. He is the only reason I am still a Verizon customer this afternoon. Sinerely,Kurt M. DiClementi
Had several ipads and iphones to upgrade and move data between them. Even had some lost passwords. Patient expert service with Kevin. Verizon is lucky to have him working for them.
Your sales person was most helpful. His knowledge of the products was exceptional.
Walked in to transfer data for a replacement phone. Little Leroy an employee that should be digging ditches wiped my old phone clean instead of the new one. He did this because he apparently had somewhere else to be instead of at his job servicing paying customers. He was trying to rush me out and ended up wiping my phone clean before the transfer could take place. Manager showed no interest in this situation or did not even want to share the employees name to me. Hands down worst experience with a Verizon store. Your jobs are not difficult. You have a handful of situations. Do what people pay you to do..that’s it. Leroy you are tarded!
Not a good experience. Employee was not trustworthy, and I felt like I was being sold/swindled the whole time. Gave us the wrong info about a bill credit reward that almost cost us $100, but he caught the mistake right before check out. Didn’t listen and put us on the wrong family account first before we had to fix it.
Absolutely horrible services... Verizon support on the phone is always helpful but no the store at all. Even the manager.
Good, knowledgeable and efficient staff.
Well run store with excellent employees
Mr, Paul Cho of this store, is the most knowledgeable mobile device software and hardware sales/maintenance technician I have ever met in my life. Because of this I will continue to stay loyal to Verizon as long as he is on board to continue to help me and my business out with all of my technical and sales related questions and problems.
Place was great. 😁
Awesome service by Brent.
After being treated terribleby the GM ARTUR FRYZLEWICZ at At&t Highland Park, IL, was treated like an actual human being at this Verizon location right down the street!
5 month nightmare filled with lies.Came in end of September 2015 to upgrade my phone, was promised $300 off my bill if opened a new line and bought $300 worth of accessories. Bill adjustment was promised on next bill cycle, but told it might take an extra cycle to be safe.2 bill cycles came and went, no adjustment. Called Verizon, they said they never heard of such a promotion. Went to the store I bought it at, the manager told me that the employee that sold me the extra line and accessories worked at a different store and they werent responsible for his promises.Wife and I decided to return the accessories to the original store (a $300 bluetooth speaker) we didnt need in January 2016. At that time another manager apologized for our 4 month hassle and that he has noted in the system that we are due a $300 credit. 5th bill cycle came, no credit, called Verizon, they had no record of note in their system. Now going on 5 months of pure nightmare dealing with Verizon and their false promises.
To be determined. Lets just say for now, I am less than pleased.
Very unhappy with this office and Eryk Bernard and sales guys told us we will be getting credit on our bill and that never happen this office and company is liars, scam artist and do not care about customers, dont waist your time with this office or people
Waiting time was terrible and no one care about the time I understand was a lot of people waiting too you should hire more employees to help customers and I just want to drop off my old phons nothing special and I have baby girl sitting in the car with her dad and we keep going back and forth to stay with the baby
I needed to add a phone number for my 12 year old son to my phone plan as I was setting up his first phone on my old iPhone 6. There was some difficulty with plan I was on, which got straightened out, then we were unable to sync my sons icloud email because he was nominally using it on his school ipad. Fahad Bershed was helping me with trying to figure out the family sharing and why it was not syncing. I was in tears, because I really expected this to be easy, I had run over from work and needed to get back, plus there was a queue of people behind me. He was so calm and said no problem, we will get it fixed and went the extra mile to get a new icloud account set-up and synced with my phone. I am not one to get frustrated or upset as I know these things take time, but I had just gotten the news the day before that my father was given less than 6 months to live due to cancer and I wanted my son to have this time left to text with my Dad (who is a great texter even at 78!). Fahad than gave me his card and told me to call if I had any other problems. He really made my day, when so many others would have just left me to struggle and tell me to call Apple. Thank you so much for your time and kindness to someone who really needed it.
Absolutely terrible experience. Downright deceitful and lied to my face multiple times for 30 minutes before I gave up and left to go to the next store where I was in / out with my new phone in 5 minutes. This store would not let me buy a new phone without a 2 year contract.
Horrible unethical experience delivered by several sales agents including Kevin Blitz, Ali Sultan and Jamie Lorden. Other reviews here report similar dishonest practices by this local store. These sales staff were confused and provided misleading and deceptive information. When updating our phone, we were told exchanging our old phone would be issued a substanital credit. We first took this home to transfer the backup to the new phone. Upon returning the phone a few days later, Ali told us that there was a small crack that would invalidate the $300 return and that phone would only be issued a $49 credit. He suggested going to a remote mall vendor to fix the crack which took the better part of a day and cost $75. When we returned at the end of the day, we were told by Jamie that the repaired phone was now only worth $69 and that ali was incorrect in telling us we could get the $300 credit. When asked about what we could do, we were told to wait the following day when Kevin would be back in the store. The following day, Verizon National Customer service told us we could be issued the $300 credit. However, when we returned to the store for the third time, Jamie the store manager ran away, and Kevin refused to issue the credit until we spent one hour getting Verizon National Customer Service to berate him and force him to issue the credit we were due. LOUSY local customer service. Extremely unpleasant staff and disrespectful of our time and loyalty of over 10 years with Verizon. Go elsewhere to another location and do not give this store the benefit of your business. Their staff need to be schooled in customer service. The two National Customer Service representatives we spoke with were wonderful but they were horrified by the Northbrook store staff and repeatedly apologized for their behavior.ADDENDUM: After I wrote this, I read the other reviews and they seem to report a similar pattern of fraud and deception.
Very rude people
Its closed
Bunch of millennials with zero customer service. Rude. Unhelpful. Wasted my time. Please do not reply with a canned response and spend that time instead learning a thing or two about customer service.
Awful awful awful service. They just take forever! We arrived right when they opened after Christmas and it took nearly an hour to be helped. They had 4 people checking in customers but only 3 people actually helping people. There was about 10 other people waiting. This place is a joke
Personal Friendly Service that is not a priority. I switched to TMobile and saved over 30%
Terrible customer service every time!
BEWARE!!! Worse than a used car dealership. Lying, Double-talk & Classic bait and switch performed daily. Do not sign anything without demanding, yes I said demanding, you see in print what you are signing before you sign! I was lied to about what I was signing and the salesman would not provide me a copy of what I signed afterwards. When Verizon sent me a preview of my first bill it contained charges I unknowingly had agree to. I sent the salesman an email requesting clarification that he didn’t respond to. When I went and saw the salesman in person he refused to put into writing the agreement he used in his sales pitch. I was told to just “Trust Him”I discovered the hard way that I signed agreements I did not want because I was never informed of the truth to what I was signing. Soon filed a complaint with the F.C.C. & it took 2 months to be promised that I will be credited back the nearly $700 that I was bilked out of by these unethical group of people.
Always helpful
Good service
Jose the general manager was rude, unhelpful and a terrible representative of the company. Avoid at all costs!
Good service
Not the nicest employees, but okay service.
Ok
Super
Level by man.
