I already knew RMT was a great company to work with, but then I stopped in the office and had my twin 9yo boys come in with me to see their impressive displays. One of their service techs noticed my boys interest. He went above and beyond in showing them (one who wants to be an engineer) the WOW factor of what RMT’s machines do. He even gave them a tour of the shop and patiently answered all of their awe-struck questions. My boys mustve talked for hours about all the cool things they could invent and do based on the experience. This not only proves a great company culture but is an example of community engagement (for future engineers!). Thanks RMT.

I started out with RMT in December of 2015 when I purchased a fiber laser the machine has been extremely dependable. We have had zero problems with the laser. We have now purchased a Mandrill tube bender, iron worker, 250 ton press brake and a five access tube laser that is currently being installed. I have tried to hold off as long as I could before writing this review in the hopes that RMT would right my situation. I Purchased an eco-236H roller in December 2017. Within the first 5 month I was having problems with two problems: a PLC error and the roller dies not aligning (1/8-3/16”). I reached out to RMT to resolve these issues. I was told to unplug the control box and plug it back in. I did this a few times and it was fixed for a few days, but the error returned. The misalignment had not been addressed but at that point I had faith that they would. About 6 months later I purchased restored accurshear from RMT. I told them I needed the machine to work on 230 3p in my shop, and they said they would rewire the machine. I cut a check. Before my check had even arrived to them they shipped the machine. I got a call on Sunday NOV. 18 that it would ship the next day, which was the first day of Thanksgiving week. I had a vacation planned and we were going to leave town on Sunday. I told RMT to postpone the shipment for the following week. Monday morning I was called and told that the shipment was not canceled and the machine was on the truck to CA from Utah. I had to cancel my vacation. I was told that they were not able to rewire the machine to 230 3p, and I would need to buy a 230-460 transformer and I would be refunded back $1000. It has now been 3 months and I have still not received the $1000 refund check. I have contacted RMT multiple times and each time is a new excuse. After hooking up shear I noticed that the cuts were not clean. It looked like miss gaping or dull blades. I contacted Rmt about this and they said the blades had been sharpened. They suspected a gaping issue. I also continued to ask about the previous unresolved misalignment issues of my roller and told them about a few new issues. New roller issues were the e stop, software issue, and the machine wouldn’t start. After several attempts to walk me through troubleshooting these issues they looped me in with another call their tech had in California a month later. My machine was down and completely unusable during this time. The tech was nice but he only stayed a few hours and was only able to fix the software issue and e stop issue on the roller . He also took the machine apart to fix the misaligned upper die but couldn’t fix it. He took notes and gave them to RMT. The shear was never looked at. I have asked multiple times for a solution since then on the misaligned dies on the roller. I have recently been presented with laser cut spacers. I don’t believe this is a proper fix on a machine that is supposed to have properly aligned dies from the factory. I would like to have whatever issue the machine has that is making the dies misaligned fixed. I have also been contacting Rmt on the shear that was not addressed by the tech. They suggested moving the blade gap adjustment lever to a smaller gauge. This cleaned up the cut so I decided to check the blade gaping. I noticed that 22 ga has a .009 on one side and .015 on the opposite. So I checked the half inch blade gap and noticed a 3/16 blade gap. I figured I would check the bolts for the blade gap adjustment see if they came loose during shipment and they are all tight so the machine was shipped with misaligned blades. I have contacted Rmt multiple times to get the proper blade gap alignment so I can go through and adjust the blades. I have been sent several manuals for other accurshear models that do not have blade gap settings. I have been unable to resolve the issue. I purchased from RMT because the reviews on google were so good and the guys seemed like a smaller machine company that cared about their customers. I’ve found that is not the case. There is no reason these issues should be ignored. I’ve been compliant, patient, and willing to work with them. I’m sick of getting strung along and I’m hoping this review will motivate them to help me. If not, it will warn others of the type of service they will get.
