I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in July, my car’s main computer just quit and it’s astronomically expensive to fix to the point the car may be a total loss. I reached out to the dealership to see what my options were or what they would recommend me doing and didn’t hear anything back. I wasn’t expecting them to pay for it as I understand used cars are sold as is. I was however expecting someone to respond to my attempts in reaching out. I was very disappointed.

6 stars if it let me. I wanted to detail my truck before it sold. I called 5 detailers and Scott was the first one who answered. What he quoted me v.s. the work done was two very different things. He went well above and beyond what we had originally discussed and the truck looks better than the day I drove it off the lot. Honest guys who stand behind their word and get the job done quickly. You cant ask for much more than that!I already referred a coworker to him.

I’ve been meaning to post this review for a month or so now and I’m just now getting around to it! Definitely go to this dealership! I bought a 2019 RAV4 Hybrid XSE and absolutely love it every time I go on a drive! I worked with Brandon and he was so kind and really informed me on the vehicle he had to offer vs the vehicle I was so incredibly close to signing on! He looked up the vins and we thoroughly discussed each vehicle. He even went as far as bringing me the car, 45 mins away, so that I could test drive it! We ended up signing for it right there with no pressure from Brandon at all. It was in perfect condition and still is! I couldn’t be happier with their service and attention to detail. Definitely go here! These new owners are the bee’s knees and you won’t be disappointed! :)

If you are looking for a well-priced used electric car or plug-in hybrid THIS IS THE PLACE -- they keep the lot stocked. They also have EVSEs for use in a pinch.

Just wanted to say my wife and I are very happy with the whole process and to give a special thank you to Chris. She worked tirelessly to get us the car we wanted and was great to work with. This is a different car buying experience than what we were used to compared to a big dealership. We really felt like they cared. Without a question we will get our next car here.

I don’t know if this business cares about the quality or condition of the cars they are selling. Maybe my case was an exception, but I bought a car from them and they said the rear brakes had been replaced. Okay, but the front brake pads were completely gone. I didn’t learn about this until about a few weeks after I bought the car when I took my car to a shop because the brakes started making a crazy noise. The buying process was fine, but that seems unsafe and disrespectful to knowingly sell a vehicle with something wrong like that. I can see that being potentially forgivable if a private party was just ignorant of the condition of the car, but for a dealership to do this, it feels ethically unacceptable.

They fail to disclose major issues with vehicles they advertise. For example, recently they auctioned via eBay a 1979 Mercedes 300SD. They did not disclose the fact that the car had no heating system or functioning air conditioning just to name a few. They represented this as a great car. I have a complete print out of the auction page as well as a copy of their mechanics list of problems. Oddly none of those made it into the description on the auction. You may find my review on their Facebook Page where I posted some pics of these items.I fully expect Chris to post a completely fabricated response to this review. If you read her very snarky comments on others who’ve left bad reviews you’ll quickly understand the type of person you’re dealing with.They will be nice right up to the point something goes wrong and they get caught. Thankfully I ended up NOT being one of their victims, I hope you’ll be able to say the same.

These guys are super friendly, but will take advantage of you if you aren’t careful. I was unfortunate to get bamboozled twice by these guys and lost about $10,000. I’m sure they’ll argue that it was very clear what I was doing. But I was told that I’d “be stupid not to take the deal.” And that I would be getting a refund of $4,300 which ended up only being $2,300. I honestly hate to give a negative review, but I just feel completely betrayed by this company.

Johnna helped me get into my first car 2 1/2 years ago. Though this review is quite delayed, it doesnt change the fact that I had a great experience. I told her what I was looking for which didnt make many options available to choose from. Johnna worked her magic however and found exactly what I was looking for within the my price range. When I got the car, it was in pristine condition and was impeccably clean. The purchasing process was easy and I still love my car after 2 1/2 years.

This was a wonderful car buying experience. I had seen a posting for a 2014 Hyundai Tuscon while waiting at the terminal in the SLC airport. I had planned on buying a car a week later, after I returned from my trip, and was just browsing. However upon seeing this car, I knew it was the one and immediately called. Johnna bent the rules and made every possible effort to keep the vehicle for me till I came back. However, due to my own technological short comings (you cant buy a car through your cell phone just yet, still need at least a computer for that) and being out of the country, I was forced to wait and hope the car was not sold before returning. They said they would pick me up from the airport, regardless of if I bought the car or not. And lo and behold, they picked me up in my new car. It was exactly as described online. They were very patient with me after I got my ducks in a row from a 16 hour trip. All in all, it was a great car buying experience with amazing customer service.

Johnna at Salt Lake Imports, helped my wife and I buy a new Mini Cooper, the funny thing is, that we werent looking for a Mini, but as Johnna talked to us about what we wanted out of a car and as we test drove Porsche Cayenne, Lexus, Mercedes Etc. We were surprised at how much fun the Mini was to drive. We ended up trading in our BMW X5 and My Wife loves her Mini. I bought a SC 2002 lexus convertible at the end of March, before I bought it I asked them what the strong gaslike smell coming from the engine was, they told me it was the residue of the cleaning agent from steam cleaning the car..Wrong! I asked them why was the air conditioner not giving off cold air. They said they sent it to Big O Tire to fix it...Wrong! They told me that the brakes were still very good at 8 32..Wrong! I have only driven this car for 2,000 miles, I had to get brakes, 3 32 on all pads $552, a new compressor for the Air Conditioner, not working..$850, new fuel regulator..$150..New timing belt ..$1,000...Valve gaskets.....$360. Also 3,000 miles later, bought 4 new tires, $500, Power-steering pump is broken, $800, need new shocks, etc....What a nightmare! ..Do not trust these people..

I pulled into this place this afternoon because we needed to change drivers. It just happened to be a convenient parking lot to do so. We were there all of two minutes. As we were pulling out, some salesman approached the car and ordered us not to park there to change drivers again. The reason he stated was because he nearly hit us while he was moving a car. My first concern is that he doesnt look where hes going while hes driving, something any licensed driver should know they must do. Above all, I was appalled that he would treat a potential customer like that. I would never buy a car or do business of any kind with this or any enterprise who employs someone who is this rude to anyone. He needs to learn how to treat people and run an organization that is inviting to would-be buyers.

SL Imports is a bit tricky to find, but worth a visit. They seem to consitently have quality inventory. They provide low pressure friendly and professional service.

This is the first time in my 32 years every writing a review for any product or service and unfortunately it is not a pleasant experience to say the least. Writing this I expect a swift and contradictory response from the owners down playing and accusing my account as false, but thats OK this is for future buyers as I wish I would have been informed before spending my hard earned money with them.I dont have vindictive or negative cell in my body but this experience has been something like out of a nightmare to be honest. I have worked over 10 years in a customer support capacity with middle class clients to multi million clients so I understand how people are supposed to be treated and this company has been one of the most difficult experiences I have had in a long time.We purchased our car 6 weeks ago and were the perfect customers...put 1/4 in cash and the other 1/4 immediately after in check. Did not hassle or negotiate. In and out and they got their money with no issue.Within a day driving we noticed irregularity with the electronic locks and child lock was broken. We asked them if they knew anything and response was you have a factory warranty and they will do a better job than us so go there ok...fair enough...we took it to Tim Dahl Nissan (EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE) even though it wasnt their car they were amazing to work with. They find out there was an after market GPS installed that was affecting the entire computer system. They called SL Imports and they had NO idea what it is or why is there??? Dont inspections catch aftermarket modifications...such as GPS tracking systems!! We had them fix it with hundreds out of pocket for a new car very disappointing! This all at a time where my wife was 9 months pregnant and I literally had to leave hospital to deal with car mechanics so I could get my newborn home safely.I personally called SL imports 3-4 and owners were never available and never received a single call back. Actually never received any call backs for unrelated questions but hey money was in their bank so that is their style of business. Fast forward we sent them invoice for charges on electric system we paid for out of pocket and that turned into a spectacle of aggressive, abrasive and completely unprofessional etiquette...all over a couple hundred dollars. To the point where they offered to pay less than half our expense if we sign an agreement to basically shut our mouths...keep your money because the truth for future buyers is more important. I am still shocked at the incredibly insensitive and retaliatory way they address customer grievances...even when you read other unsatisfied reviews they attack back and take zero accountability. It is a shame...I write this to help future buyers and only for that reason.

Horrible! Do NOT buy a car from here. Arrogant, rude, completely unprofessional and disappointed for even purchasing a car from these people.1. They sold me a convertible VW Beetle with a broken top and told me they would assist in getting it fixed and then never would return my call. VW told me its $875 to fix and the owners response was Im not cutting you a check or anything maybe I can get you parts at my cost. I didnt ask for a hand out, I want the vehicle I purchased to be functional and the integrity of the top to be intact. VW said it was obviously tampered with.2. The car did not have a tire changing kit but has special lug nuts so I was screwed when my car got a flat tire. Oh and VW informed me the tires on my car were recalled tires. - their response at Salt lake imports was well how in the heck would we know that, like we have time to look that up when its inspected. I definitely felt safe with that smart response!3. The owner has a smart mouth and would interrupt me are you finished now when I was expressing concerns about selling me a convertible with a broken topHorrible horrible horrible! They deserve to just be out of business. It was like buying a car in the 1980s with zero trust and accountability! Look elsewhere!

I came to the dealership because of their reputation and they lived up to everything I hard heard.When I came in I didnt have a specific car in mind, I just knew what I wanted from a car, but not what make or model would get me that specifically. Johnna listened to me and asked me thoughtful and helpful questions. Ultimately, she suggested that she felt she had the exact car to fit my needs, which Im sure is something all sales people attempt to say, but she really nailed it and I couldnt be happier. I have always loved Mercedes but didnt think I could afford, that might have been true at another dealer, but not at Salt Lake Imports. The car was beautiful, very well maintained, and their asking price was unreal. They are a no-pressure, no-hassel, and no-haggle dealership. They ask for the fair price from the beginning, not the price that then you need to play the game with them about for the next two hours. They ran all of the reports I wanted without me asking: the blue book, the CarFax, everything to show that I was getting an amazing deal on a quality vehicle.They even gave me a smoking deal on detailing my current car and running a CarFax report on that for me as well so that I my current car would be ready for resale immediately. They have gone up and above and not only gave me exactly what I was looking for and am thrilled with, but also an experience that made purchasing the car an extremely positive experience.Haters are going to hate (with negative reviews), but when it comes to purchasing a vehicle, Salt Lake Imports was a complete home-run in my book.

Didnt protect us from being treated horribly unfortunately.You can clearly see below that we tried to make an agreement which they did not honor and tried to get us to sign away any future responsibility on this vehicle in exchange for a good review they DID not earn.I can blast out their emails as well but the fact is -An unhappy customer should always be met with tolerance and respect not lies and retaliation.Good luck sleeping at night with your terrible etiquette business style.Beware!
