Tested the North Port locations new equipment with my trainer Emit. The front desk team is amazing, always friendly, and welcomes me with a smile. The manager, Krystal, is always available to help and attentive to my needs. So happy this gym got the face-lift it deserved!

I love this Gym! It may not be the newest are the biggest but it is the best! It’s just a great environment with a nice mixed crowd. The thing everybody here has in common is that they come here to work out and do this for themselves for their health. The staff is just really amazing. If you’re looking for a personal trainer Emmit is THE BEST!!!!!

Well kept and clean. Following the protocols, very safe to workout and not packed at all. They have lines on the ground to guide and plenty of cleaning supplies as well as staff cleaning machines to ensure they are set! Great job youfit in North port!!!

They do not tell you that AFTER you cancel your personal training sessions that you will be charged $280 for the next two months! When the nice front desk individuals write to corporate on your behalf, even when they take part of your rent money and your childs school clothes and supplies money, the manager gets on the phone with you then hands the phone back to the front desk and the response is we feel for you but do not owe you money so even after canceling in June its okay to steal $560 from my account? I HAVE EMAILED TWICE AND THE RESPONSE WAS THEYVE DONE NOTHING WRONG AND CANNOT ASSIST ME. IVE ALREADY DONE WHAT YOUR RESPONSE HAS REQUESTED. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE. ITS ALL ABOUT THE $$$$. EVEN AFTER GIVING AMPLE NOTICE!

This gym has great equipment including everything you need to get in a great workout no matter what you goals are as well as amazing staff.

Most of the gym is well kept, but the treadmills need service. Many dont have working televisions, a couple of them do not have working incline buttons, and a couple are out of order. The staff is friendly.

I’ve only been at Youfit for a couple of months but already I can see the progress I’ve made working with my awesome trainer, Emit. The amount of knowledge he possesses is his ultimate tool and I know that when he pushes me to get in that last rep it’s because he knows it’s the one that makes a difference. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and I never get get a sense of that “muscle club” culture from any of the other guests at the gym. Everyone is friendly and encourages each other.

There are several positives about the North Port Youfit location, but the best part by far is my trainer, Emit. Actually, I have to say he should officially be a master trainer. I have worked with several different trainers over the years, mostly in New York but also a few others in Florida who I never stuck with, and Emit is my all-time favorite. He approaches training with an educational aspect and really challenges you to be your best and to be confident. It is precisely this approach, over the many others who seem to focus more on sales than on training, that will be the reason I sign up for more sessions. Gyms in general should leave the selling part to the salesman and the training part to the trainers which is exactly the positive experience I have had so far at the North Port Youfit location. Clean gym with a really good circuit training system. Free weight room is decent, and they have quite a few treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals. For the price its probably second to none in this area.

The staff was nice and helpful and allowed me to have a pass to try out the equipment for a day before I joined. Unfortunately, as an avid gym-goer, this gym just doesnt do it for me. Theres not much room or designated space for bodyweight exercise and I personally prefer my space for others. I guess I just went on a bad day, but the gym was pretty busy. I was there for little over an hour and never got the chance to use the Smith machine which is the one machine I really cared about using. I tried to finish my workout with cardio, but the treadmill kept stopping after 2 minutes?? Im really not sure why it was doing this, I didnt select any type of workout, I just chose manual settings. After the 2nd or 3rd time of it stopping, I just became frustrated and decided to leave and just did cardio at home. If youre there to do basic stuff, its a good choice, but it just doesnt work for me.

I have mixed feelings about this location in general. I have been to many different gyms in Florida because I like to experience different scenery and enjoy working out in New places but I must say I am disappointed at this location.I use this location strictly to do my morning cardio due to it being soo close to my home and I work a 12 hr shift ( they open at 5 am m - f ) so I wake up at 5am drive there and do my cardio before I start my day. Twice this has happened and have been very upset where Ive driven there and people are driving away or standing around because no one ever showed up to open the gym so you can understand my frustration when I wake up at 5am get dressed and drive down there to do my cardio and I cant because someone decided not to show up ( I could have been resting at home getting more sleep ) but no I have to get back in my car and drive back home and all that time was wasted. What blow my mind is I have called before to see if there was a time change or something because they were closed and they said no so when I asked them well why were you not open at 5:36am when I got there and people were mad walking away ? The staff member had no idea of this issue and said he would inform management.This place is clean inexpensive but management needs to fix these problems because why pay for a gym membership when you cant even use it ?

I am leaving for basic training in a month and need a personal trainer to help get into as good a shape as possible before shipping out. Nick gave me a fitness test, to determine my starting point, and agreed to set me up with a coach who is an ex-drill instructor so that I can have the best help possible. I really appreciate everyone going out of their way and cant wait to begin my training.

I have called and tried to end the membership after I found the doors locked. Since multiple concerns of Covid from this place have been going around I feel they need to honor membership terminations. I was hung up in multiple times.

Gym i go to its been a few weeks of me having no time

Canceled my and my husbands membership back in April. What the manager didnt tell me was that she was putting our memberships on a 3 month freeze! NOT CANCELED! Was scammed out of 4 months ($111.20) of fees even though I thought it was canceled! Dont recommend as they always let the sweaty mans puddle of sweat just dry---never did we see them mop the floor! Bunch of liars and disgusting gym.

Tbh, the gym is small and I wish they would get some new equipment....but the staff is great. Always friendly and welcoming and NOT creepy or lurking which I super appreciate as a female. The typical crowd is older which is ideal for me because a lot of the free weights are available. Dave is always a pleasure to talk to and makes you feel welcomed without imposing on your workout.

Was looking forward to joining, today however soon as I walked in I noticed that about half their members and a few of their employees had masks on. I asked the person behind the counter why? He responded that some members have medical conditions, or can’t wear a mask because it makes them dizzy! How about not wearing masks can make you dead!Needless to say I did not join.

Awesome place! I am a middle aged over weight Mom on a path to good health.I have never felt out of place. The staff is friendly and always helpful! Great classes and trainers are always available. Cant beat the value!

This review is specifically for personal trainer, Emmit. Emmit was very patient and understanding of my physical limitations, and adapted my workout accordingly. He was fun to work with, making me feel very comfortable in a place I am very uncomfortable. I’d highly recommend Emmit for personal training!As for the club itself, it is lacking in a row machine, something my husband has asked the club to acquire since joining two years ago. They have an abundance of treadmills and elliptical machines. I have yet to see them all used at one time.It would also be nice if they had classes, but I know there is no space in the building they are in.For the price, I can’t complain. But speaking for my better half, the club could look into getting a row machine!

Customer service is awesome here in North Port! Only thing I wish there was better tanning options (like offer at North Port and better ones at Port Charlotte)and the elliptical..yes I said it Nick! Who along with Jared and Noah have made the transition period of changing to a new gym great.

This is mine and my wifes first time ever signing up for a gym so we were worried about how we would feel going. All of the employees made us feel at ease and like we belonged there. Of course you had some of the typical body building types there (which we are not as of yet) but no one minded anyone else so we felt at ease.The reason I gave it a four star is because they do not have any classes on a regular schedule which was something we were hoping for.

Truly appreciate my North Port You Fit for helping to flatten the curve. Thanks Mark Agosta for disinfecting the equipment regularly.

My wife and I are in the area for 3 months from the North country - you know the other side of the wall. This was the best deal we could get for a gym for 3 months and much better value than any of the other gyms. Noah showed us around the facility - tons of equipment and immaculately clean - we were really impressed with both Noah and the facility. So we signed up and are looking forward to our workouts. Highly recommended based on our experience thus far.

Great Youfit! Neat, clean and organized! I am always greeted with a hello and a smile. Staff is always willing to help answer questions about equipment, training or classes/challenges. When I leave the gym, a staff member always says goodbye and have a great day. It is special to have a fitness club take the time to learn your name and use it when you arrive/leave. All ages and levels of fitness individuals are members here so anyone and everyone will feel welcome and fit in. There truly is NO judgement at this gym. Just do it-----Sign up and get moving!

My girlfriend has been coming here for just over a year. Its a great gym even though its small, its very clean, and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. With all of that said, I do have a major issue with this particular youfit. While the staff is friendly, they are utterly incompetant at enforcing any type of gym etiquette. I am not comfortable with my girlfriend working out at this location. A gentlemen has been caught and confronted about recording females in the gym yet he still attends the gym regularly. This should be an instant ban. I am extremely uncomfortable knowing that a video of my girlfriend was taken without permission, and when the staff was alerted she was told that other people had already complained about being recorded by this old dude. But Bruce still works out regularly at this location and attempts to hit on my girlfriend and other females (who my girlfriend warns, since the staff doesnt do anything at all).I also came in today to work out with her, and there was not one, not two but THREE different men wearing completely reflective SUNGLASSES indoors. What the heck youfit. How is anyone going to be comfortable when you allow men to come in just to creep on the girls. Sunglasses have no place in a gym. I think the owner, and all of the staff probably need harassment training because this place is a joke. The only way I would recommend this gym is if you are feeling predatory and want a place you can get away with recording females and wearing sunglasses so you can watch them squat.Ive been working out for 15 years, with three active memberships, and if north Port had any better options I would gladly pay extra for my girlfriend to workout somewhere she feels safe.

This gym is very clean and well kept. Actually much better kept than the usual gym I go to up north. I was only here for the winter season so I wanted a short term contract. Ended up getting a month-to-month which I used for three months @$20/month (which allowed me to bring a guest). I canceled with a 30 day notice as they told me I had to and was charged a $10 cancellation fee which I was also told about when I initially signed up. So it was a good experience and they were up-front about the charges I incurred.

Price affordable, employees friendly. My only dissatisfaction is the Express Circuit is not monitored. Its advertised quick 30 min workout, with rules using a stop light. People are using the equipment not following the rules, including trainers. Very frustrating trying to move through the course with all the distractions. Management could help by showing new members at orientation explaining better the course rules.

Place is horrible, employee are very not friendly, after two months of signing up I decided I’d cancel my membership, so when I went in the gym I spoke whit an employee that he says of be a manager, and he requested ten dollars for cancelled my membership. when I said why I have to pay ten dollars for cancel my membership he said this is gym policy, so I requested of showing the policy, hew said I not have written one. He was very not professional, rude and threatening and he requested many times of paying the fee for cancel the membership. I wish and I hope that the owner of this gym if read my complaint taken an actions about this employee and discharge this nasty person. All people that read my complaint, please stay away of the YOUFIT GYM IN NORTH PORT. Not trust in them they stole money and non speaking whit truth. Is unacceptable paying for cancel the membership. Please far away.

Youfit charges your account for cervices that are no longer available. They closed down all facilities in March and still charged peoples accounts! I discovered their reopening by checking my bank account and noticed a $42 annual renewal fee! So that’s $10 a moth for 3 months without service plus $42. I have spent thus far $72 on a gym in which I have been unable to use and no longer care to do so. Upon calling to cancel my account because they finally opened up the phones, they told me the only way to do so was by mail. If you choose this gym keep your quill and parchment at the ready! They are not going to use technology to cancel your membership but have no problem using technology to take your money during a pandemic in which thousands of people are jobless then they make it impossible to cancel the membership by closing down offices and phones.

Love coming in on Saturday mornings when Lynn is working she is always in a great mood and gets us pumped up for our workout. Ive been a loyal customer to this location for over 4 years now. Every staff member has always welcomed me with professionalism, and kindness. Recently theyve had some new hires, and I have to say Ive never met an employee at this company more disrespectful and just flat out rude then Eddie. Ive spent 100s of dollars over the years on drinks, membership, etc. Ive had the lime card for the 4 years Ive been here, so bringing a guest anytime has always worked out very well for any of my family or friends that like to join me. Eddie had the audacity to tell not only my brother but another guest of mine that they were a leech for not buying their own membership. The first time he said it we took it as a joke, I dont mind having a nice laugh. But he continued to say it 5 separate visits within a 2 month period. Another time, he also told us we were not welcome at the gym and were not allowed to work out. Joking Im sure, but after the 5th time of him calling my brother a leech, I informed him how disrespectful it was and unprofessional. I know Youfit takes great pride in customer service but Eddie has terrible customer service,and is disrespectful. He did not apologize one time. And as of today, he called my brother a leech once again after I told him to quit with the disrespect especially to a long term customer. Im now considering finding a new gym after 4 great years at Youfit. This is not someone you want working or representing the Youfit name. As for the rest of the staff, From the front desk, to upper management, everyone has gone above and beyond for this company. I feel as if you all have been so great towards me and my guests and we truly appreciate your hospitality. I would rate this gym 5 stars but needed to address this matter.

This is the most clean gym in the country. Staff is always cleaning. I feel very safe even with this whole COVID thing going on. Krystal is truly the most awesome person ever! I always feel so welcomed here! Would highly recommend

Staff is great. Everytime I go in there are machines that are broken. And this you fit does not offer the same machines that are at other near by Youfits.

No amenities (unless you get the Limecard and go to another facility). But they push the Limecard all the time.Facility is dirty. Rarely see members cleaning after using equipment and when I mentioned this to staff they act like they could care less.I dont recommend this gym. Go to Planet Fitness. Its clean and has amenities and is open 24/7.

I’ve been coming here for a little over a month now and have been training with Karina. I feel so much stronger in this time and I can finally do a pull up and push up! Their prices are great and their app makes it easy to win rewards. I highly suggest this gym if you are looking for one to join!

Big place with lots of equipment and space so it never feels crowded even when it is. Staff are friendly and helpful, bathrooms and showers are clean. And you cant beat the price. Shortly I will be passing the two-year mark as a member and Im not sick of it yet!

Over the years I have worked out at many gyms. The You Fit gym in Noth Port is not only well equipped but the staff is not only professional but very nice and friendly. A wonderful way to work out.

Went in to change my membership - treated so rudely I decided just to cancel - then I was told there was a $25 cancellation fee - had to be paid on the spot to cancel. They never mentioned this fee when I signed up. When I joined I was told it was month to month with NO contract. They said its in the fine print. I asked to speak with the manager and was told she was too busy to talk to me.I liked the place, good location for me, nice equipment. But the way I was treated was deplorable and they ran me off. As a customer, I have never been treated so badly. Ill never go back!
