This is the wild west gift shop to end all gift shops! It makes a great pit stop off the highway - I ate lunch at the nearby Qdoba and then came over. There are gag gifts, post cards, toys, candy, even jewelry, cowboy hats, and moccasins. I most enjoyed the hand-carved diorama of Buffalo Bills Wild West Show that takes up the entire back of the store. Definitely worth a stop even if you dont buy anything. I ended up with postcards and a bumper sticker myself.
This is a stop you wont regret! The staff is fun and accommodating but that aside it is by far one of the most fun roadside attractions! They have old toys and candy that you will only appreciate if you are over the age of 35! And they have whips...take it from me they work per my husbands lower region. This has many great opportunities for family photos that are rich in history. Lastly, stay to see the miniature show! Very interesting show and history lesson. Never thought I would say miniatures are cool....but I have officially been proven wrong and ....miniatures ARE cool! Have a great time and yeehaw cowpokes!
Cute little gift shop with plenty to offer! They had a super cool display of the Buffalo Bills Wold West Show that the staff turned off for us to watch. We didnt go outside because it was raining, but they also had an outdoor area to explore/take pictures. The only downside was they didnt have stamps for the post cards, but that was not a big deal!
Awsome relics from days gone by and yet not really so long agoRemember we live in a country of nations as all standing treaties with The Sovereign Indian nations have been written into the Constitution of the United States of America as Supreme law of the land even before the bill of rights but just the same as the bill of rights a promise that should never be infringed upon...This is a fun place to visitThank you.
Loved this store since i was a kid. I havnt been this way for probably 10 years. I had to stop. They always have the old time candies i miss from my child hood. The lady at the front was super friendly. I lived that. Only thing is.. No one wore a mask. Very unsafe
Just a fun little tourist shop. I did really enjoy the hand carved Wild West show display. It as worth the stop just to see it
An eclectic little shopping experience. Fun environment to stroll through. Product consist of what you might normally expect to find in a touristy store. We happen to stop in on a night that there was live music in the courtyard that made for a additional fun experience. If this is along your path its certainly worth a stop. Neat little Wild Bill toy carving show as well.
I love this place. I buy lots of jewelry here every time I come. Cute gift storeLittle kids will love the show
Awesome place! Definitely worth time to stop by. They have a lot of souvenirs, jewelry and toys for sale. Old West Exhibit throughout the store. Free! There is a back yard area with old carriages and tipi to take pictures. Buffalo Bill’s west wild show in miniature runs every 30 minutes. Must see! All these wooden figures has been made by Ernie and Virginia Palmquist, took 12 years to complete and the presentation contains over 20,000 hand-carved pieces
It was very touristy, but they had an impressive collection of gifts, clothing and lots of interesting jams, jellies and salsas. The fort out back would be fun for kids but this was not really historically accurate. The Buffalo Bill diorama of his Wild West show was interesting. If you want to find out more about Buffalo Bill and his life, you are better off going to the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West in Cody, WY. However, for North Platte, this was a fun diversion and I am glad we went.
I love the mechanically-automated miniature Buffalo Bill Codys Wild West Show; the dedication to create such a massive display of over 3,000 hand-carved and painted wooden pieces is impressive. Love the historical displays as well; learned about the beginning of cowboy boots. There are a wide variety of useful and high quality items for sale, as well as a lot of choice for children.
Ive been stopping here since the 1970s when I go through North Platte. A fun spot to walk around a bit. A great assortment of moccasins for sale.
Love this joint since I was a kid. Must stop and check this place out. Souvenirs, clothes, great for kids and an awesome animatronic Bill Cody Wild West Show. Dont miss the two headed calf.
This is a fun place to visit! We wandered around for an hour looking at everything inside including the stuffed two headed calf. Lots of fun things to purchase as well.
Cute little tourist trap. They have some cool props, a nice area outback simulating the fort, nice people, and some fun souvenirs. I would suggest a quick stop but the wild west show automated attraction only triggers every half hour.
Use to be about making a memory, now is just about making money . Really sad..Growing up in North Platte my mom always got me a worry stone . I live over 3 hrs away now and have come up there just to get a stone . U see my mom is gone now and so she cant get me one. Now yes ur employee said I could order one . But its not the same mom always said that the stone would choose u.. I remember the staff would call us by name. the simplicity and hometown feeling of belonging. But not this last time there were teenagers all over and so much bling. I became a job to try and see what u had . And then to find out u didnt have any. STILL A GOOD PLACE YES OF COURSE!!! It just didnt feel like home anymore.
Wild West display is fantastic (worth a stop, just for that). Interesting items for sale.
This is a really cute stop along I-80. Theres an awesome model of Buffalo Bills Wild West show. It took the creator about 12 years to hand carve all the pieces and figurines!! Beautiful jewelry, nice hats and shoes, as well as some fun trinkets for little gifts.
Great stop! We had a ton of fun and the ladies there were super kind and friendly! We were all intrigued by “Buffalo Bills Wild West Show” of miniatures in the back and we got some great photo-ops in the outdoor exhibit. Souvenirs are reasonably priced & there is a huge selection to choose from!! I could’ve stayed there all day. There was even a part of the store that we didn’t make it to & will have to explore next time! About thirty minutes after we left, we experienced our first hiccup in our cross-country trip BUT we had the joy of returning to retrieve our stroller that they graciously brought inside for us. Fun and entertaining for the whole family!
Fun place, staff was amazing. Nostalgic, strawberry habanero jam is great!
We loved this place so much we went twice on our road trip! Great staff and a lot of great gifts to take home. The small museum is nice. You have to see the 2 headed calf!! Mini Buffalo Bill show was good to see, it showed what real entertainment was like back before all the distractions of devices we have today
Stop in and look around, so many things in one little store . Excellent place for the family to go !
Friendly staff. Great place for souvenirs and gifts for the family! Average prices
A neat touristy place. Been driving by it for years with my kids. Its always been to early or late to stop but not this time. Glad we stopped.
Very interesting place. Reminds me of the tourist type of places I visited as a child. The outdoor area is great for kids to run around and play in. The indoors is packed with buffalo bill facts, merchandise, and trinkets. Its free to get in but there is plenty of things to buy there as well, so if you bring your kids expect to fight off the constant can I get this reaction to the vast amount of kid friendly merchandise. All in all, a nice little break from the road trip.
BEST PLACE EVER FOR OLD FASHIONED TOYS AND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. LOVE IT HERE. CLEAN GREAT KITCHY SOUVENIRS. LOVED IT AS A CHILD AND LOVE IT AS AN ADULT. A MUST SEE FUN STOP FOR ROAD TRIPS.
Cute little place to get off the highway and stretch your feet. We got there 10 minutes before close so we left the dogs in the car and raced through it. I forgot my nice camera in the car but this is very 80s 90s nostalgic. Back when there were plenty of attractions that was there for families off the exit. It was a neat miniature museum with a few giant pieces. After the quick run through I had to let the dogs out of the car and took them for a walk around to get a few cute pictures and go get gas. Worth stopping and checking out if youre in the area or getting off the exit
Lots of variety of things to purchase and got some history on Buffalo Bill. Very helpful and nice employees. We will return again if in the area.
Lots of cool things to look at and buy. Staff was a bit preoccupied with trying to figure out schedule problems, but were friendly when they did speak. Bought several items for family gifts.
We stopped by the store on our way home from my great grandmothers funeral in Grand Island. I got this Nebraska reaper salsa that I was very excited to bring home to my husband. Unfortunately, TSA opened it & threw it back in my mothers bag & it was everywhere! I emailed the store on a long shot & Nick sent me a new bottle & took payment over the phone! That was above & beyond & I really appreciate it! Jan at the store was super nice & wrapped everything perfectly!
Always a great place for quick gifts and intriguing things
Lovely Gift shop and the automated history was charming. Well stocked on gifts and souvenirs.
Great store and great show that runs every half hour.
A good place to take photos, or just a break from a long drive, if traveling with a kid its kind of one of those must stop places.. occasionally concerts in the courtyard..
Cute Roadside attraction. Lotsa unique souvenirs & the show is a bonus!
My parents used to stop here with my brother and I when we were kids. I was so excited to see it was still around when we came through with my kids. It was everything I remembered and even had some of the same stuff for sale. Lots to see and lots of beautiful things. Prices are reasonable, all things considered.
This is really a Nebraska classic. Take a minute pull of I-80 and take a look. Gift shop is great!!
Neat gift shop! Large variety of stuff! Cute little museum!
Lovely little place with a bunch of cool little nick nacks and some hard to find candies and snacks
My 9 year old daughter loves to go there
Wonderful place to spend an afternoon, very friendly staff and wonderful assortment of treasures and 🤠
Very fun store and museum. Lots of wild west fun.
Its a fun place and staff are good people. Most definitely worth a visit but in my opinion a tourist trap.
Lots to look at, Teepee and other cool buildings to look at out back. Lots of items to purchase resembling items from Indian, cowboy, knives, swords, clothing, lassos, old time candy, toys. Just so much!
Nice, neat stuff to buy and alot of history 👍
A variety of souvenirs, kid toys, knives, food items, candy, and much more! Great place to visit.
Very nice, clean, and awesome place to visit. Great things to get and the ladies working there are very helpful and happy to assit in anyway
Very nice, a museum and a action wood carving of Buffalo Bills Wild West Show. A lot of souvenirs to buy including some beautiful jewelry.
Super cool little stop...
Miniature western display was huge and ran every 30min. The woman let us know when it was gonna turn on so we could watch it.
Has been a tradition in my family for years and is always a pleasant visit.
Fun stop
Very interested. Love the sign fir the place.
Fun gift shop, the little wooden figures that move are really fun. Theres tons of souvenirs here, but a lot of them are overpriced.
Kids had fun and we spent to much money lol
I love this place. Weve passed through here the last 3 years and we have got to stop.
Fun stop but not well kept. Well stocked with souvenir!
Go here. Its the best, ever. I stop here every trip.
We try to stop every other year when were on the area. Just a neat place to visit. Lots of history.
Love this place.
Cool store has cool items and food
Really enjoyed it, it was fun. 🙂
Yes, this is a big souvenir shop, but its SO worth the stop for some excellent info about Buffalo Bill, and the North Platte area. We genuinely enjoyed learning about Buffalo Bills Wild West Show. Postcards were cheap and there was a large selection of books on local history.
Fun place to stop if passing through ot even from north platte got fun novelties cold sodas and snacks and something for everyone
Good place to stop spend some cash and stretch your legs.
Huge store, amazing selection, good prices.
I love Ft. Cody! I have many happy memories of going to see the Buffalo Bill Cody Wild West Show dioramas. Wonderful place!
