Its always hit or miss for fashion deals, but they have a decent selection of clothes up to 3x. Though for anyone XL or above the options dwindle. (were used to that at this point though, almost everywhere we shop)
My wife went on and I sat in the car. From the outside, the store looked nice. There was a display in front that said Boots, but there were no boots in the display. The store looked well-organized and clean. The staff was seen repeatedly wiping down and sanitizing things.
Resale clothes great quality
Everyone is very helpful. Staff always greets you when you come in and when you leave thanks you and says stay safe
I have sold and bought a lot of clothing and accessories to these ladies and have always been treated well. They keep a wonderful clean shopping experience and styles are for all ages and not dated. Displays and maniguins are very trendy and done well. I love going there.
What a treasure trove of amazing pieces from great brands! I could spend hours in the store (and I have!) browsing at all they have to offer. Not only is the store impeccably clean and well organized but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly during my recent visit. I find their prices to be extremely competitive especially for the brands that they offer. I fully intend on making this my first stop anytime I’m looking to update my wardrobe!
The clothes in this store are so outdated and for elderly people. I walked in the store and the old lady working there gave me so much attitude. Didn’t take any of my items because they were too young for there old people taste. Do not recommend.
It is a top notch store, everything is reasonably priced. Love it!
If you like an upper class resale shop with name brand items of higher quality than other resale shops, Clothes Mentor is for you. Quiet shopping and friendly people to help if you need. Good bargains. Clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry. Different styles for different tastes. Reasonable prices. Also has fitting rooms to try things on before purchasing them.
They do sell clothes on line as well. So some items are tagged for online and instore which is confusing
I like the store and the employees were helpful and friendly. I always find something at the right price
Im never disappointed when I come here!! I just purchased a brand new pair of Ugg boots for $35 that retail for $150. 😄
Was my first time selling and will be my last! Called ahead to get an idea of what clothing they were looking to buy, when I actually got there I was told something completely different. Bought two pieces of clothing and couldnt even find my slip to tell me why no other items were accepted. I was also told that items from Torrid were considered juniors? Torrid is not a juniors store and I shop there frequently. The older woman at the counter was rude and unwelcoming and clearly outdated in her knowledge of clothing. As I read previous reviews, I see she was mentioned a few times before regarding the same concerns. Maybe you should rethink your staffing to avoid anyone else from having a negative experience!
I took two large bags of clothes, including a North Face and Madden winter coat. I was given $4 for both a pair of suede booties, worn once, and a NWT Ann Taylor shirt. I was told it was the condition of my other items which resulted in them not purchasing them. All items were under 2 years old, and freshly laundered, pressed, etc. I will not take my other items there, including my designer bags. Better luck posting online.
My daughter couldnt find shorts in her right size. It was also hard to get around due to the painters. The dressing rooms were also closed. But the employees are always very nice and helpful.
No where on the website does it say I need to bring clothes in a laundry basket! That’s fine—I’ll take my brand new/barely used Chico’s clothing elsewhere
Pay a lot more then playtos closet very easy location to find and they are very quick with checking out your stuff and getting you a fair offer and back on the road.
Employees could be more welcoming and friendly, prices are on the upper end. If thrift is what your shopping for, there are plenty more opportunities in the area with much better pricing and friendly service.
I guess I dont quite understand what types of clothing theyre looking for. Brought in two large bags and they took ONE item (wallet for $2.50). My items were too worn and juniors. Browsing around the store for 10 minutes or so I wasnt that impressed and definitely thought many of my items were better quality and/or more fashionable, although I totally understand this is a matter of taste. They didnt accept my items from Free People for example (website states they love Free People) but they stock pyramid scheme tacky LuLaRoe...?!? Wonder if it depends on who is working vs. decisions made at corporate level. At least staff were plenty nice when declining my items. With plenty of other great thrift stores in the area, such as Common Threads, Im not sure Ill return to shop.
Literally all grandma clothes, I thought clothes mentor was for all age groups. The ladies were kinda rude, and everything was based upon their taste in clothing
I have shopped here a few times and the experience has always been great. I have yet to sell any of my clothes on consignment as I usually prefer to donate to womans shelters etc so cannot comment on that aspect.. But I have been able to find some very good deals on brand name clothing that would have cost me much more in a department store and the staff was friendly, helpful and really had a handle on their inventory.
I visited this store since a friend told me about it. I took in 2 very nice dresses that I only wore once but never wore again. They were still brand new. I received $8.60 one a Calvin Klein dress and other I dont remember but paid well over $190 for each. I decided to take it because they would sit in my closet. But my biggest problem is the women who I 1st dealt with blonde hair glasses. She was extremely unfriendly very rude and not at all professional. I have worked retail for many years and being that undesirable will not bring in much foot traffic. Im also a supervisor and wouldnt think of being unfriendly under any circumstances. Including the items in your store which is carried at my store that they resale is sold more than our prices for the exact same item brand new. This is and was very unexpected to see this at a resale shop. Not including some items (That are used) are sold for the same price we have which ours is new. Upsetting to say the least. However the extremely upbeat very nice associate who offered me the price is someone who will make your business! She was very professional and smiling and happy the entire time. Unfortunately I will never return to your store simply because as I well know, it takes just 1 associate to ruin the entire store. Including prices on used items that cost the exact same as the stores that sell them brand new. Go to those stores and compare those prices before you price yours. This is a plus!
Love this store. Great deals! Have found brand new items at times!
What I dont understand is how youre going to tell me you dont take Torrid jeans because theyre a junior brand but you have a bunch of Torrid clothes in your store? And I can honestly say the one pair I did bring in I literal never wore. The clothes arent bad to shop but they certainly dont like buying.
The ladies are ALWAYS kind. Makes you feel like family
Ladies working there are not the most friendly, or helpful
I love this store!! Love it!! Very organized easy to find sizes...always great staff...
This is my third attempt to sell clothing here. Since Im losing weight, I dont keep the clothes for long and thought coming here was a good idea. Big mistake! Ive had a woman tell me the jeans I bought in January and wanted to sell in April were too worn. Mind you, these jeans were supposed to have some rips in them. Just recently, my Dana Buchman blouse from last year was rejected due to the stitching on the front (she meant darts), as well as a pair of pants that I had bought from THEM earlier this year (never got to wear) because they were too worn. Well if they were too worn for me to sell them, they must have been too worn to buy from the previous seller. Lastly, my blazers with soft (small) shoulder pads from two years ago werent bought because of the shoulder pads. They are back in style!!Now I know why I cant find a lot of clothing for work, they dont buy them.Very inconsistent, and no fashion sense by some of the older workers. I wont try to sell there again (or buy) and will take my clothes to Savers.
Nice selection and fashionable clothes, however the staff was incredibly unpleasant. My mother and I went into the store today to look around and while checking out the one worker was preoccupied by calling to get her oil and tires changed during the checking out process. Eventually another member of staff took over and seemed to have wanted us out the store. Its a shame the workers dont match the upbeat, positive experience.
I went here for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed my experience. The staff was wonderful and the clothes are nice and in great condition plus fabulous prices. I will definitely return.
Great shopping experience, great selection, great customer service! Stop in to see what your missing!
Friendly people. Very nice resale shop
I love this store!
Nice store but prices a little high!
Very well organized and tidy store. Employees were helpful.
Definitely good 👍
One of my very favorite thrift shops! Clothes for women at great prices!
Very disappointed in Clothes Mentor in North Olmsted today. I was there 40-45 minutes and not once did any employee ask if I needed help. I tried on several items and when I walked past 2 employees to leave they completely ignored me. I have purchased many times here. Hope management gets some more customer oriented people in soon.
So impressed with the clothing selection. They definitely only take in good clothes so you spend less time looking through clothes you would never want to purchase.
Great customer service and a good selection of clothing
I love this store, I always find something nice in clothes or a purse
Place had small assortment of clothes, very well kept.
Fabulous!!
Not very friendly. Gave pennies for expensive items. 2 dollars for 100 dollar Jeans...a joke...Didnt even help open the door when I had two huge bins...walking in not walking out. Just started and watched me. All four associates. Very rude.
I wish I had read some of these reviews prior to my visit, would have saved me some time. I dropped off some dress pants, dress shoes and boots, some very nice blouses and sweaters, all in good shape, most of it was newer. Very snobby reaction when I went in, they didnt want anything except three pairs of brand new jeans that I got $5 for. Pretty much threw my boxes at me while looking down their noses the entire time. I guess only take in clothing that is really high end, they do not want typical name brands (JCP or Kohls). Not worth the effort. I will happily donate to the Port Clinton resale shop (at least proceeds go for a good cause). Only gave a star because I could not post w/o picking at least one!
Nice clothes and shoes. Needs more plus sizes.
One of most organized Clothes Mentor stores ever!
Awesome store. Great picks. My favorite Clothes Mentor.
The staff was really sweet took the time to look at my stuff I will come again!
Great prices. Friendly people!!
Way to expensive for a resale shop
Always find something to buy even if I just go on to browse..
If you want to get ripped off selling your stuff, this is the place to go. I would of had a better deal donating it to the Purple Hearts and getting a tax reciept.
Its good like ok i guess
It was a pleasure to shop at your store, good customer service!!!
Great service, great staff
Best quality, name brand designer resale around!
Clothes. Mentor is a phonomenal store. I cant believe that the store is a thrift store.
Well organized!!
