Took an engine there a few years back, finally got around to looking at google and surprised to see this place still in business with the abysmal quality of their work. Took a gas engine there for cleaning and inspection, and boring if necessary. After a few calls of it not being done they told me to show up and get it. Was there on time they said “it’s almost done, go grab a coffee and it will be”. In the mean time it looks like all they did was brake clean the block, give it a gentle hone and ship it. We measured the bores when we got it back and found them out of round and they wouldn’t even entertain a refund. Avoid this place at all costs.
He said it was gonna take a week to get my block machined I called him almost 2 months after said he was gonna start tommorow and I said no I already bought another engine and he said he oh ok I dont care
I had Ken press a ball joint into a spindle for my AMG. He’s affordable and stuck to his time frame!! Will keep him in mind for the future
Ken does good work and is easy to talk to.
Brought my heads in while he was obviously very busy. Listened to my need to get the work done before I had a deadine. Work was done very well and quickly, in my opinion. I have been in automotive repair since 1966, professionally since 1970. Had done machine work myself at one of my employers for about 10 years. Obviously I have no idea what happened to others but I do know when your good you get a lot of business which can mess up a completion schedule at times. Especially if something doesn’t go right. It doesn’t help to get your work done by calling excessively. If it’s life or death, let your need be known and go somewhere else and take you chances. That what I’ve had to tell customers at times. Kenny is a great Machinist. If you need it quick though, let him know. Hes busy but worth the wait. Parts come back clean and nice
Only place to get machine work done. Assembled my engine and did all necessary work. Fired on first try and still runs great after 2 years of constant abuse
If u need this work to be done dont look anywhere else. Best in the business. Extremely happy with the work . 92 mustang
These guys have built my engines since the 90s. I wouldnt have anyone else touch my stuff!
I brought a disassembled engine./heads/valve covers/oil pan in on 6-5-I 2019, told it could be de-greased and tumbled by that Friday for $150- I picked the uncompleted, undone, poor workmanship parts up the following Saturday 6-15-2019 after 5 calls with excuses of why it was not done. This was after a search through the disorganized and extremely cluttered shop for my parts just to find out when i got home, missing over half of the small pieces that go with the engine. Only explanation i received from the owner were reasons and excuses why it was not completed - never anything on what was being done to complete the work i requested .
Ken is very reasonable to talk with. He pulled a broken crank pully bolt out of crank shaft and replaced it. And also fixed a water leak in a head with helecoil for exhaust bolt, awesome work.
Head was completely clogged after the rebuild. Had to pull heads off again after engine was over heating just to find it out and had to buy new head gaskets. Wasnt a happy camper.
My son got machining done here, and is very happy so far
Shipped my engine block there April 26th for a rebuild. Called about 8 times to always get a gruff, ill get to it next week. Finally got tired of waiting as I need the engine, picked the engine up on June 9th to find he never even opened the box. Complete waste of time and shipping.
Took BMW parts in to have hot tanked. Owner bead blasted them to remove paint that was terrible. Look like new and spot on
Kenny does the best work in town.
Customer service was not so great, slow
