Had the short rib. Felt like I was having home made food. Service was quick and the owner was splendid to speak to. My friends had the chicken curry and loved it. I tried it and honestly preferred their plate more. I will be coming back here to try out more plates. Super healthy.

I have been vegetarian for about 7 months and i have always struggled with finding good foods that i can eat at restaurants. My parents and sister aren’t vegetarians but we all chose to go today for lunch. We all loved the food. My dads one of the biggest carnivores and he’s even a chef at a famous restaurant and he loved the food. The food has such unique and familiar flavors. The smoothies/juices are INCREDIBLE. Its such a cool and underground place too. The staff is so sweet and it feels like you’re with family. Will definitely go again.

Was looking for vegan and vegetarian restaurants nearby and this restaurant did not disappoint. They offer a long list of food and smoothies/juices. I had the bbq short rib dish and gold monkey smoothies, amazing. Plan to come back to try many other things on the menu. Service is 5 stars

Amazing little vegetarian haven. Great choices for vegans or vegetarians on the menu. They have a meatless alternative to popular American and Caribbean style dishes. They also sell juices and desserts that are vegan and sooo good. I recommend the chocolate cake.

What a wonderful experience eating here. This place is full of love and savory food. I was so impressed by their utensils and plates which were biodegradable. Love the simplicity and politeness. Very clean place and a menu full of incredible plates, burgers, tuna melt, Jamaican petty an so on all vegan or vegetarian. Many juice and smoothies options as well. It’s definitely worth a visit. Don’t be shy to try them out.

This is a great place. Its large with many delicious options and they even have a mini market where you can purchase juices, snacks etc. Me and my boyfriend ordered two sandwiches to go i ordered the Bahn Mi Vietnamese sandwich and my bf got the Philly sandwich both were amazing with so much flavor. Don’t know where to start. The service quality and the human warmth is something that makes you feel at home.The food, wow. I am not vegan but eating healthy foods is a plus to better health, and this restaurant has also been my go to place during my yearly fast. Normally, the food has been good, but not without some service issues that if corrected could make this rating higher. My number one gripe is if you no longer have an item on the menu, remove it from the menu. Secondly, during the morning rush have more than one waitress. Have someone to double check the order before sending it out to maķe sure everything ordered has been included. A check of juicers, or other machinery, should be routinely checked to insure they are in order at the start of the day, to avoid a customer being informed some twenty minutes after they have ordered, that the juicer is not working. Again, the food is great, and you can sense that the owner is constantly looking for ways to make the dining experience/atmosphere enjoyable. These minor tweaks are sure to improve service to a greater level. The restaurant is open Mon-Fri, and Sunday, however closed part of Saturday for religious observance.

Hakim loves the restaurant and treats his customers like family. He uses the best organic toasted sesame oil Ive ever tasted. And he sells delicious organic kosher red grape juice from wine grapes that tastes like wine without the alcohol. He truly cares a lot and gives his customers the best

Super friendly service and amazing food! It was so hard to take the pictures first before inhaling it all! I got the BBQ rib sandwich and my partner got the incredible philly cheesesteak sandwich. The seitan was out of this world. It was so juicy and the sauce took it to the next level. 100/10 will come back over and over.

I met the owner Hakim today when I went into order some lunch to break my fast. I ordered the no tuna wrap with kale and vegan cheese as well as the side of gungo peas soup. The total was about $14 so not too bad, minus the size of the soup (8 oz but it does not look about that size). I am giving this place 4 stars as the wait for this wrap was about 20-25 minutes and thats really too long. Perhaps I will order ahead in the future but thats one of the first things that needs to be worked on. Also, the young lady at the counter was a bit difficult to understand. Other than that, a Sabbath keeping restaurant which is vital & Caribbean/Jamaican, two things I adore. I will visit once more to see if the timing is better before I recommend it to my church, and there are photos of my lunch below.

I’m a type of person that usually cleans his plate but with this one I just couldn’t.... (JerkBurger) there was no taste to it. The seasoned fries were PHENOMENAL!!!! I would go back just to eat 5 orders of fries no kidding!!! And their natural juices are totally on point! The service was excellent! They even offered that they would of switched it out if I didn’t like the burger. What type of restaurant has that type of service!? This place is a gem 💎 hopefully my next experience will be better so I can give you an update.

This was my first time at this vegetarian restaurant and I tried there plant based beef barbecue wrap and I shared it with my mom and we both liked the wrap.

Always good if you order the daily specials. Dining in takes too long. Always call ahead and pick up your order. BBQ ribs are my favorite

The vegan ginger chicken and brown basmati rice with black bean soup were superb. The adzuki bean burger my husband had was delicious. Very cute and laid back atmosphere. Must try. We’ll be going back soon.

Went here with my brother from New York and loved the food. I ordered quite a bit, I will definetly be back. The burger sliders were delicious and the supreme pizza is awesome. The best part of the meal was our server being so entertaining.

Man, you usually when you think of vegan, rarely does moist and favor, come to mind. Just healthy, most of the time! This was probably one of the best favorable vegan means I’ve ever had and the moistest (if that’s a word) vegan carrot cake I’ve ever had. After one bite, I literally had to look around in disbelief, it was so good. Every bite of the entree was delicious and I wish I could just be their personal food taster! Most definitely recommending to anyone!

Id like to start by saying the quality of the food, smoothie and juices are great. Unfortunately, customer service from the owner is horrible. I called in an order and when I walked in I was greeted with, This woman looks like she loves Burger King. To make matters worse a female staff repeated the comment whilst laughing. I was so uncomfortable that I did not speak or move after this happened. I called to speak with someone about the incident where it was confirmed that the owner is the one who made the comment. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep your comments about peoples appearances to yourself. It is disrespectful and unwarranted. Unfortunately, I do not feel comfortable enough to return here.

My favorite restaurant in Miami, period! It is hard to find a vegan place that has decent food. This place has great food !We eat there every time we visit the area my family and I . We traveled as much as 1 hour each way to eat there. And the place never disappoints.The staff is very friendly and Hakin, the owner is great host. He always stops by to say hello.My wife and 4 kids love the Pizzas and the smoothies while I like everything, But especially the ginger chicken. So good!I wish I lived closer. I would eat there every day.Try it for yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Stressful place to eat - The owner is sitting behind you making phone calls, the employees are sitting next to you visiting with friends and you cant get your food. The apologies are frequent but the food is coming coming and aggravating. There is too much going on for you to have a healthy lunch, Rather it is a stressful lunch. The owner actually told the employee to get back to work and then he is on the phone making more noise. I wont go back

Vegetarian Restaurant by Hakin is located in a super small plaza and has the biggest sign there so you cant miss it. The restaurant is both a store and a restaurant. The restaurant area was nicely decorated with a romantic feel, very different from the store side.My friend and I came on a Saturday ( they have odd hours 7-10 pm). We were super disappointed as all of the items we wanted to try werent available. Actually, almost all of the items on the menu werent available, and this included smoothies and juices. So if youre coming in for a particular item or anything with ginger or that needs fresh juice on a Saturday, I would suggest you pass. We asked the waitresss (who is exceptionally patient) what days would be best to return and she said any day thats not Saturday.After some back and forth, we were able to order the Asian Adzuki burger and the golden monkey for our drink. The burger was delicious, although I would suggest cutting it in 4 as the patty will fall apart on you quickly. The Golden Monkey was also very good with a good price point.All in all super disappointed that so many items were not available, but would definitely be open to coming back to try the items we were hoping to try this time.

!DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY!I dont even know where to be begin except, IM DONE. I started going here right when I became vegan in 2015 and it quickly became my favorite healthy vegan spot. I met Hakin, the owner a bunch of times and always felt welcomed whenever I came in.They HAD great specials, delicious cakes, comforting soups, fresh juices and a friendly environment. As the years gone by Ive seen them add pizzas, expand with the addition of a market, and even when prices got higher I stuck with them.Unfortunately, no matter how many chances I give them whenever I order delivery (Uber eats) there is ALWAYS a problem. Im embarrassed to say how many times Ive ordered from them and end up not able to eat half of it. You order lentil soup? You get Blackbean soup. You Order vegan short rib with brown rice, salad w dressing and bean stew? You get vegan ginger chkn with quinoa, steamed veggies, and bean stew. These are just a couple of examples Ive delt with.I now call in ahead of time to remind them of exactly what Ive ordered and to include the sauces which they often forget to include. After calling ahead and they still got my order wrong I asked to speak with a manager. I was told because they close in 5 mins that he would call me back tomorrow. I gave her my name and # but never heard back.I wish I could say its just a delivery problem, but its more than that. They go out of their way NOT to call you if they are out of something or they arent serving that dish on that specific day. There is ZERO COMMUNICATION between restaurant & customer and even when told a manager will reach out - THEY NEVER DO -.Luckily, Im able to get a refund through Uber (most of the time) but I just gotta warn anyone who orders delivery: DONT! Maybe its an entirely different situation at the restaurant but the complete lack of care as to what leaves your kitchen to a repeated customer speaks volumes.

Food is AMAZING!!! We ordered Seitan skewer bites, boneless short ribs meal (with salad+rice+beans) and the white monkey shake. Everything was soooo good! The bill was around $30. Good portions too. We were so full after eating there. I recommend it 100%

I’m very happy right, now sipping on my silky smooth and surprisingly delicious Little Haiti smoothie. The way a smoothie should be.My tummy is satisfied after jumping into a delicious world of goodness with the Coconut Curried Vegan Fish with Quinoa. Yay!Annnddd I just finished my smoothie :(It was so good.I’m sad that it’s done but at least I got to experience it.Back to the vegan fish, DELICIOUS.The sauce was delicious, texture was great, smell was attractive, and it was the perfect amount.Highly recommend this place! :)

One of the Best Vegetarian/Vegan restraunts in Miami. Meat lovers will fall in love with this deliciously seasoned food. The restraunt is located in a store that has food, seasoning, oils, etc... This hidden treasure has a relaxing dining area creatively decorated with faux plants and pallets strung from the ceiling to give an exotic and tropical vibe. There is never a wait to be seated however some dishes take a while to prepare. Oh and they have some natural no filler hot sauce made locally as well. Staff are friendly and location is clean. Bathrooms are small and look as if they belong at your great aunts house so just pee before you go 😔 however the great tasting food makes up for it! Great vegan eats by Hakin! Love this place, great food, cool atmosphere. Grab some healthy food and enrich your body! The salad was crisp, very earthy, to perfection, and fresh with the vegan ranch being light and creamy, which made them a really great combination. Having a vegan ranch was definitely a great idea and taste amazing as well.

Omg so my daughter is vegan and my son and I are not. We tried this place and my son got the vegan chicken meal and I the vegan chicken pizza, my daughter got the kale cashew burger. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The gentleman was very down to earth and was really excited that we were excited about what we were about to experience. So my son was doubtful of what to get and he gave us a sample of the vegan chicken. Just blew us away and we ended up getting another one Togo. Definitely would recommend and we will go back.

This place is okay. Im a little dissatisfied with my meal. Basically, in short, the juices here are great but the gluten free options are not. I had the kale cashew burger and I dont recommend it. The seasoned fries tasted like they came from a bag but I ate them atleast. I didnt even touch my burger. If I could make any influence by this review is please add more gf options. The owner here is so kind that it hurts to write this review but I do hope it helps them just be a little better.

I like the food. Price is a bit on the expensive side (considering the location and cosmetics of the place) and unfortunately, even though everyone that works there is friendly, they are very slow. Orders take so long and thats the main reason of my low number of stars. Once you finally get your food.... you can enjoy a good meal.

Coming back to edit this review and say the first time when I originally wrote this review was my only good experience. Came back multiple times giving chances and the ambiance was horrible. Rude employees and the owner js a mess ( seems to only value a certain type of customer) Disorganised. When you purchase a veggie burger you have to pay $5 extra for horrible tasting frozen bag fries. Food has been ok. Breakfast is horrible. Smoothies are still awesome. However, between the employees‘ and owner’s stinky attitudes and inability to provide proper customer service, I will never return.Original review 5 stars: This food was realllllly delicious. Very flavorful and tastes like authentic West Indian cuisine. Probably the best vegan place in Miami in regards to savory food. The ambiance is extremely comfortable and theres a great little market with healthy products. I loved it! Try the ginger curry fish. The rice is great and the golden monkey smoothie was amazing. Plus the ladies working here are sooo nice. ❤❤❤

The sit down resturant area is very cozy and quaint. The owner was very engaging and offered suggestions from the menu as well as pleasnt converstion. The food was very good and filling. Some of the prices were a bit high (i.e. a side of fries $4) for amount served. However I would still recommend this place. Although it says vegetarian, there seemed to be more vegan dishes!

Amazing food and service!

I waited for 20 minutes and when I got home the food was cold. Why did I have to wait if the food was going to be cold. When I got there no one was waiting, so why was I waiting?

This Bermuda Drink changed my life! highly recommended. Why by fake shakes elsewhere when you can get freshness made to order.

Walked in and waited for 20 minutes to be served. The food I wanted wasn’t ready. Many people walked in to pick up their order that they placed online and their food wasn’t ready. We’ve always had a great experience before but today just was a miss.

Awesome food! The tropical fiesta smoothie was amazing, and so was the Mediterranean pizza. Dont leave this place without trying the carrot cake. My husband and I really enjoyed the Saturday night movie. The free popcorn was a plus!!

I ordered this to my hotel via GrubHub. I eat vegan and very familiar with vegan food. I ordered early in the day right before lunch. I got the Vegan Philly Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries and Red Velvet Cake. It was around $35 with fees. The sandwich says it comes with grilled onions and a side salad which were both missing. It did have a couple of jalapeno peppers on top which was not listed. It tasted like it had been microwaved at best. The bread wasnt toasted. For $14, I would expect some effort. Lots of glue like cheese. The fries were not cooked and a little hard on the inside. The red velvet cake was not the chocolate with cream cheese frosting, but more like lemon cake and really tiny for $6.99. I gave 2 stars bc they are vegan and I appreciate the effort, but this food was not good and not worth eating. Its in the garbage, Im out $35 and still hungry.

Great Place! 9/23/19 was my 1st time there and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great! All the workers were friendly and courteous. There were regular customers and the team knew them by name. Definitely will be back. The Godfather Meatball sub was really good too! If youre in the area, I recommend patronizing this restaurant. Wont be disappointed.

I have stopped by this restaurant for about 6-7 years. The owner has been kind since day 1. The food is great and very healthy. I get sad when the Spinach patties arent available because they are so delicious! I recommend it as well as the Philly Cheese steak, and the Cashew-Kale burger. Their fries tastes very good as well.
