Freightliner in Vegas was so back up that they couldn’t get us in until Monday. In desperate situation I called McCandless and the guy who answered was so warm and helpful. He transferred me to Steve in service and I told him my situation. He gave me and my son advices to what to look for. He was so nice I couldn’t believe my earns. Avoid this place unless you wanna pay 10 hours of labor for a 6 hour book time job. Terrible customer service and a total rip off.McCandless makes up their own booktimes to screw the customer out of money. McCandless might carry the peterbilt name but they are separately owned so dont expect Peterbilt corporate to back you either. Truckers beware.

Really cool place. Awesome folks. Very nice. I hated being here under the circumstances of the truck being broke down, but the folks here made it a really good day even though the start of the day started off REALLY BAD with truck issues.

We were searching for an RV salvage yard. Was a bit difficult. We had to go thru McCandless International Trucks parking lot to get to the salvage yard. So if you didnt know, Las Vegas has a Motorhome RV salvage yard out on Lossee Road out north. Thank you McCandless for access!

Truck was initially dropped off in Needles, but that shop doesnt work on Internationals. I drove the 4 hour round trip to McCandless to get a part for them. Parts guy was great, too. Spoke to service manager briefly about possibly having to bring the truck to Las Vegas. Very helpful! Ended up towing to McCandless the next afternoon. By the following morning, I was back on the road! Thanks, guys!

Got our isuzu NRR serviced here. Daniel took exceptional care of our needs.truck needed 4000+ in repairs do to hub leaks & oil cooler leak in two locations. The rest was miscellaneous stuff.

My father had to stop there for a quick part pickup for his semi trucks side mirror, and we went inside, immediatly were greeted and directed to the right area in the building, ordered the part, paid, and we were out of there in less than 10 minutes! Excellent customer service from everyone. Im sure if needed, we will go there again.

I called McCandless International because my truck cut off on the freeway, they called a tow company for me and had it towed to their yard. the service manager called me into the office and told me I needed a new fuel pump, I was shocked considering I just purchased the truck. I called the dealer I bought it from and told them and they basically said tough luck thats not covered under the warranty you purchased we can do it for $3,200. I was talking to the service manager and asked how much it cost to do the work, he said we can do it for $2,000 I was very pleased with the price and the time he said it could take to do it. The next day he calls and said my truck was ready for pick up, I got the truck on the road and it never drove better. I am very pleased with the work highly recommended.

They were awesome getting me in an hour before closing but the mechanics pinched off my abs wire when they replaced the airbag. The next day they replace the wires for free. Stephanie was the best of this experience.

This place should have no star at all, the parts department are good and helpful but I had a very bad experience having them work on my truck. It took over a week for them to get it back running again and cost me 7k...I took it back there after 2 weeks and the guy plugged a computer to it and showing that all DPF, DOC, after treatment injector are bad which I paid for to get the problem fixed. Long story short, they did a short cut job to get my truck out there and breakdown again out on the the road and tow it to there shop and more 7k work for them..?? I got this this guy that works on his v8 truck and not in a shop fixed the problem with a lot less $$ cleaned the filters and put new injector on it and I was back to work in 2 days. BTW I chatted with one of the trucker with the same experienced and guess what..he took it back there to the McCandless international SHOP for the same problem and they got more money out of his hard earned money. What a big mistake.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I am beyond livid with this so called International Truck Shop! To make a very very long story short, every time I took my truck in under warranty the shop managed to do more damage then good to my truck.Ive had to take my truck in several times for electrical issues. I found they would only test/replace the batteries that were corroded. Which means the ones that werent replaced caused damage to the new ones.The cycle continued so long that now Im having to replace all the electrical in my truck, as well as a $2000 alternator that they replaced once already.All this work is now coming out of my pocket (at a different truck shop, of course) because they continually skimp on warranty jobs.I was even told by one of the shop guys, Well we dont make very much on warranty jobs.So fair warning, DONT take your truck here if its under warranty!

Called today with vibration, needed the ride height checked on new truck with 35,000 miles, Jerry in service got me right in, the two techs that came on at 3pm 2nd shift look and adjusted my ride height and check my driveline and explained in detail what to watch for! I dont like to bash businesss by any means but deception is not a good way to do business. To anyone reading these reviews before deciding to choose this place for service, they do work till midnight but NOT ON CUMMINS MOTORS, also monday is a skeleton crew as they put it, so dont expect anything to happen that day either..

Lack of Communication from the service department caused me to be stuck an extra day. They blamed it on the phones not being able to call long distance numbers! First they said they didnt have my number that I watched the service writer put on the order, then, How in the hell in 2018 cant you find a phone that will call a customer. They cost me 1500 in lost revenue. Idealease service is usually good but not this day at this location. 3 stars for getting the repair right.

Awesome place great experence

So far bringing our International here for warranty work has been a nightmare. We get a different story every time we call and even considering the holidays they have had the truck way too long. Also after the truck had been there 10 days they informed us there would be a 55$ per day fee for our trailer being dropped there. Now we are left with no recourse but to rent a truck and go back to work to get some money coming in. Not only have we been lied to because we still dont know whats wrong with the truck but they have prevented us from making money. We have a truck and trailer note plus our personal bills so we are very disappointed with Mccandles to say the least. I will never be a returning customer even though we live here. I most definitely do not recommend this dealer for any kind of work. James and Valorie Webster.

Being the only international dealer in the area, kinda hard to compare. But the parts they say they have in stock are not technically in stock at this location. Pretty frustrating driving 90 miles to find that out. Then wait till the end of the day it arrives to call for payment to ship, and not get the payment upfront so as not to create a headache. Just be prepared to wait. .

Dropped of my vehicle and got updates when I called and asked for an update. I had to go back a few months later for the same concern, this time I got an update from the staff that my vehicle was ready. I drove (3 hours one way) and within 24hrs of being home, I received a grumpy message saying I needed to bring the vehicle back, because it had borrowed parts still installed and was not supposed to be picked up. I called back and said, the tone and blame was not helping feel good about another 6 hour one way trip. The staff didnt care. I left a message with a supervisor informing him of the situation...I never received a call back. Overall a terrible experience.

Bad customer service, had to take my tow truck to them 4 different times for the same problem and every time something new was being changed with no positive results. The general manager would not help out with the bill, his incompetent techs were suggesting and assuring that would fix my problem but never did. Bad customer service by far!!!

Today was a horrible day at this dealership. We always come here for parts and repairs. We took the truck in for a/c repair and they refused to do it because they claimed we owed money from the past. We were never notified that we owed money to the shop. But the worst part was the service manager Charlie Ford. He treated my parents like they were garbage and thieves. Made my mom cry and literally kicked them out of the property. He threw the keys at the desk and told them to take the truck and get out!!!! This guy is racist by his expressions. I guess he doesn’t mind treating customers like animals having lots of business.

Worst dealership on the planet Took them ten days to change out the synchronizer in the transmission that should have taken 2 to 3 days max. When you called to get an update they put u on hold and leave u there. They double charged for parts and over billed me a thousand dollars. They wouldnt even look at the bill till I started yelling at them then the only thing that they had to say was the computer made a mistake. I watched them enter all the prices into the computer, they take no responsibility for their actions. This place is a joke with a bunch of clowns running it. The service manager just sits on his ass in front of a computer doing nothing, wont even help his men do anything. I wont take a bicycle to them clowns to work on. Do yourself a favor and dont go there, youve been warrened. Also they will try to suck every penny out of you and your warranty that they can get...... Horrible horrible place.....

Its pretty bad when your OEM service provider in the area cant do something simple as putting a major component bumps back in her truck. After calling every other dealership in the area including the Nets over at the TA and the Petro, this dealership stepped up to the plate and install the bolt that I need it installed on my truck. The dealership also advised me that I needed to have something done because of that Bolt. As much as I cant stand an international truck, I would highly recommend this dealership for any service that you need regardless of the make of your truck.

McCandless international and Isuzu are the biggest thiefs in Las Vegas. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. We sent our 2004 International 3200 VT365 with 179,000 miles in for a hard start diagnosis. After charging us $2300 in diagnostic fees we were told the turbo was bad, there was valve train damage and #3 cylinder had 0 compression. The repair estimate McCandless prepared was for an engine replacement at $26,000. We had the truck towed back to our yard where our predominately gasoline engine techs were able finally able to diagnose that the injectors were bad. $2,000 for rebuilt injectors and the engine has never run better. Upon approaching Management at McCandless with the situation we were told tough luck services rendered. Unbelievable. We were warned by others in our industry of their very poor technical abilities and extremely shady business practices. Please read this warning and bring your business elseware!

Had to drive up here from kingman az thinking alternator was going out. Its warranty work. After awhile they said they couldnt find anything wrong with the alternator. They checked this and that and didnt know what it was. Check the batteries, cant be that they said. 1 battery down, then 2, then wait, all 8 are bad? Next is they only have 3 deep cycle batteries in stock. No, we cant put different batteries on because its warranty, same type have to go back on. Can you call kw and get batteries from them? No have to be Navistar batteries. Suggested we get a motel room and be back Monday. We left our permit load down in kingman, we cant leave it there. We deliver mon in Riverside. Why cant you take the batteries out of the new truck on the lot to put in so we can go. Well the big Boss man would have to do that and hes not here on Sat. Service manager said he wasnt doing that. Went to parts guy and asked if if he could call the boss man and he did. Explained the situation cause those batteries have been back ordered for 90 days! Whose to say they would be in mon. I believe his name was beto. Then after that decision was made and Im back in waiting room, the service manager(russ) came in and had to the audacity to tell me that we had to call the boss to make sure that truck wasnt sold or if someone was coming to test drive it. He didnt call, he wasnt going to call. He just wanted to ship us off to a room in Vegas, on the weekend! Thanks to Beto for working with the customer.
