I purchased a used 2016 F800 GS Adventure from Cody at this dealer sight unseen off the Internet. Cody worked real hard to provide me the most pictures and video of the bike. It was my first long distance internet purchase and Max BMW provided me a great experience. Cody had the bike shipped to their New York store to lessen the trip for me. I drove all night from Illinois to Max BMW, NY to get the motorcycle. The bike is all that I wanted and I’m very pleased to add it to my GSA family. Thank You Max BMW and Thank You, Cody For being a class act salesman! I would definitely buy another from you at Max BMW.

Ive been going for service at MAX BMW for several years now. There service department has no equal in New England. The staff is totally customer oriented and their mechanics are outstanding. The MAX BMW chain of stores cross several states in the Northeast. They have the largest selection of BMW motorcycles on the entire East Coast of the United States. Ive been to every store and the outstanding service is common throughout the chain. Service prices are fairly standard and are reasonable for BMW. All stores have a pickup and delivery service within a certain radius. Highly recommended.

I rode 50 miles to get to these guys just to find a good selection of touring boots and the expertise to be sure that I chose the right ones. I was not disappointed. I got wonderful help with absolutely no pressure to buy. In fact Drew wouldnt let me buy the boots until I actually sat on my bike and experience what it would be like to sit in my riding position, shift etc. This was invaluable and I ended up with an extraordinary pair of Motorrad Gravel boots at well below the price I see advertised on Amazon....... WELL BELOWI doubt that I will ever buy motorcycle apparel online again.

Dishonest Service, Avoid Jordan in service dept.Visit 1/2: Bring bike in for diagnostic and am received by Jordan. Diagnosis given to me via phone call and I request quote before proceeding with repair. Next call I receive and my bike is done. They claimed to save me a bunch of money salvaging a harness for a starter relay, when they can easily be found online for under $50. They took their sweet time and charged me for the repair without authorization. Clutch switch also becomes misaligned by their service.Visit 2/2: Bring in for routine maintenance. And request to diagnose clutch switch, as I had just repaired it prior to visit 1/2. I am told they will warranty their work if that is the case. Extra work is done in routine maintenance without authorization and they charge me for a full hour to realign the clutch (that they broke in the first place). So not only do they bait and switch me with the warranty promise, but they charge me $100 dollars for a 15 minute job. When I confront them about it I get eye rolling and sass from Jordan. These guys are moneygrubbers that are too accustomed to ignorant, wealthy clientele of the seacoast area.

Went to get warranty work done on a new bike (S1000RR) and was told to bring it back to the dealer I bought it from. Apparently they do not feel like they need to honor BMWs warranty unless it was bought directly from them. Would stay away from this dealer as it seems theyre a bit too big for their own good. Incredibly poor service, even went so far as to accuse me of the damage. Expect to wait months for a resolution to even the smallest issue.

I wouldnt bring my bike here again if I could help it. My bike wasnt running so I had no choice but to call MAXBmw since they have a transport van which is convenient. Thats about the best thing about them. They installed for me dyna 3 ignition and did a carb sync. The carb sync was done badly because when I turned the handlebar all the way to the left the RPMs would rise. I called them and told them about and they said it was probably improper cable routing. In fact, there was no play at all in the throttle cable. If they cant do a simple carb sync, how can you trust them to do a proper job at installing electronic ignition?Dont bring your airhead here. For the money you can get way better mechanics. At least my bike is running now, so they get 2 stars.

I heard about so many exiting things coming out of Maxs. The showroom is great with some nicely restored old bikes and I hear that there customers are very active motorcyclists. so I stopped in for some adjustments while on a road trip. I was more than a little let down by the lack of professionalism and hot shot attitude. I think they could learn allot from a few California shops. New England is a great place to visit, especially on a motorcycle. I feel sorry that riders in the Boston area have so few decent BMW shops to choose from.

2nd update: They called to let me know parts from a dismantled bike were available for sale. In the pile was an undamaged muffler, which they admitted they owed me.. they tried to sell me the entire pile of parts of unknown functionality, then sold it for more $ to someone else, including the muffler.Update: Never has my opinion of a company deteriorated so quickly. As I was reassembling my bike, I noticed a few odd parts missing: fuel injector o-rings, fuse box cover, etc. But what really burned my chicken was, after I spent 18 hard hours rebuilding the engine from the conrods out, the bike made an entirely new noise that wasnt there before MAXs disassembly. A bad noise. Enormous exhaust leak. Turns out that they somehow managed to put a HUGE crack in my muffler where the pipe comes into the box from the headers. It was almost all the way around that pipe; another 4-5 and it wouldve broken off completely. Note that I both put my bike on and removed it from the tow truck in transport to MAX myself and followed it there, and they returned it to me in their own van, so whatever happened definitely and undeniably occurred while in their care.At this point I returned to MAX where the service head wouldnt admit fault (of course, even though they all knew it happened there and listened to the bike run before disassembly sans leak), but said hed be glad to weld the pipe back together. I brought it in, and after a week he told me they couldnt weld it because the steel is double-layered and there was soot around it as if Id run it. Of course I ran it; I just put the engine back together, kind of had to test it, didnt I? So, I cleaned it up myself and did the worst welding job in history (I am not a welder), but it makes almost no sound now, and the service head promised hed source a used exhaust for me. This was almost 3 months ago. Moreover, the more I think about the service I had done there, the more annoyed I am about it. The first thing they did was a leakdown and compression test - both of which turned out perfect. This was AFTER I had told them I did a simple push test on my pistons and strongly suspected a conrod bearing was blown. What was the point of the compression tests? Why didnt they pursue what we *knew* was indicated? Oh, right, it made them another $250. Then, the disassembly bill itself still came out to a couple hundred more than we agreed on, and again on the resurfacing and rehoning of my cylinders and pistons. The resurfacing and rehoning is the only work I was happy with, and Im fine with paying more for it. Their machinist is awesome, and a couple people that work here are great too. This is why they retain a star in this review revision. But Ill never bring my bike back in for servicing. It only created more work and immense expenses for me, and Ive found a couple small independent shops wholl gladly work on it now. I suggest you do the same.Ill leave my original review below (edited for GMaps text limit):Ive been coming here for the odd part since I bought my R1150RT a couple years back. Theyve always been good about matching up the right parts, giving some advice, even printing out sheets for fluids, torque specs, maintenance/replacement guides etc.But then my engine started to act up and made a lot of noise. I brought it over to Chuck in service, he listened to it, said it was most likely the timing chain tensioners - I agreed that it definitely sounded like it too, and theyre known to go on these. To make a long story short, that didnt work, it suffered a bad failure, and I got so busy with my job that I towed it in for service, authorized 4 hours of work max, and got the bad news that a connecting rod bearing was spun out, tearing up a piston & cylinder with its remains.Well, when I went in to pay the bill.. it was for 10+ hours of labor. At a shop rate of $99/hr, this was a surprise. I brought this up, and without a complaint or hesitation, Chuck fixed the bill and management stood by the promise. He even waived the delivery fee back to my place.

Ive been with BMW for over 25 years with 6 bikes to date to include a BMW 740I. When I purchased my 2002 from another dealer because at the time I lived in VT. there were major issues after the did the 600 mile service and destroyed the bike to a point it wasnt rideable anymore because it was dangerous from surging. Max called BMW and had a special tech come up to review the issues. They didnt fix it to my satisfaction of anyone elses and in hind site I should have gone to BMW for a new bike but didnt. Max said he could fix it so I went that route. Max did fix the bike with a Techlusion fuel programmer and it ran well from that point. Ive since then taken my bikes to Max for Service and as of last year I purchased a 2015 R1200RT with all the bells and whistles and I love it. The Sales, Parts and Service staff have always treated me with First Class treatment and have always been square with me. I learned the value of dealing with a top notch shop when I owned a Ducati and discovered (through rider referrals) BCM Motorsports. When I was in the market for my first brand new bike three years ago, BMW made my list largely based on the reputation of MAX BMW. I had also dropped by several years ago when the K1200S was first released to take a demo ride. They copied my license, gave me the key, a suggestion for demo roads and sent me on my way.So I went in to MAX with my eye on a K1300S and some idea of my comfort level on price. I spent a few hours with John and walked out with a handshake and a deal on the shop demo. Three years and 18,000 miles later I can say that every interaction has been friendly, informative and satisfying. And I have the peace of mind that Im dealing with a shop that KNOWS these bikes.I strongly recommend dealing with a single-brand dealer. There are likely other good ones, but I know from experience that MAXs premier reputation is deserved.
