Hands down, the best place in town to take your BMW. The owner is 100% trustworthy, transparent, and knowledgeable. He employes highly skilled mechanics as well. They provide the same services, and have the same tech that the dealership has but at a lower cost. Highly recommended!

I’ve been buying BMWs for about ten years. I won’t let anyone touch my cars but Total Mini. Years ago chad the owner use to work at the front desk but he as well as his staff are the best people to take your BMW to. He’s very informative, HONEST!!!, & he nor his staff will touch your vehicle without them asking speaking with you and they give an outstanding breakdown of what they can fix and the price. Asked about getting just 1 headlight bulb swapped out as my right low beam went out in my 335i. I already have the headlights, and asked how much it would cost to just to put them in. They quoted me $362 for a MAYBE 15 min job. Needless to say, am not using them for any work on my car. Go to ZERO FOXTROT GARAGE if you want to save money. Asked about the exact same service being done and they said it would take about 5 mins so no charge. This place is a rip off save your money and go to a more reputable shop.

They were very friendly and professional. They explained everything in great detail and were very thorough. I will definitely use them the next time my 645 gives me fits.

Total Mini & BMW Services was absolutely amazing. Our truck broke down coming down from PA. My local mechanic was able to find these guys in his network and said they come highly recommended.... I 100% agree!! I was a little Leary with it being a BMW garage, as I have a Dodge Ram Pick-Up. They didn’t hesitate in helping us out. It was Friday at 11:30 and they were able to order a new fuel pump and get it installed by 5pm! They went above and beyond great service! I recommend these guys to anyone! I want to give more stars but can’t. Chad worked on my 2007 BMW 335i. I upgraded to M3 control arms and made the mistake of taking it to Firestone for an alignment. They failed. Miserably. Didn’t even try to align it. Chad actually aligned my car the correct way and he pointed me in a direction to make it better. 10/10 recommend. Thank you so much!Moral of this review? Don’t go to Firestone. Go see Chad if you want above and beyond service.

Great people and great service all around! They are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They explained everything in detail and worked with me to figure out what needed to be done immediately, and what could wait for a later date so that I didnt have a giant bill all at once. Their pricing is very fair and they go out of their way to not charge you for unnecessary things, such as replacing break pads too soon when you could have gotten more life out of them etc... They even checked if I had a warranty for an expensive part so I wouldnt have to pay for it... They are amazing! Thank you!!!

I had never heard of this business as I had always taken my MINI to the dealer here in Charleston. However, I found Chad through the Charleston MINI Club on Facebook and was so glad I did. He installed the Click and Drive cell phone mount in my 2019 Countryman and did a superb job. He could not have been more helpful in answering my questions before I got to his shop and he actually did the install himself. His price was so much better than the dealers as well. I highly recommend Chad and his company.

I paid for a diagnostic test that was never performed. How do I know because every time I have gotten my car tested the same issue popped up and they told me there was nothing wrong with my car. When I asked them about the issue that pops up, all of a sudden they remember it did, and said they will have the paperwork for it the next day, they never called. So I will never bring my car to this place again. They charge for things they dont do.

Always had work done right and honestly, Chad is the best. I wouldnt take my BMWs anywhere else. They service my 540i and my M3 and both always come back repaired correctly, thanks Chad!

Taking a car in and not knowing what to expect always causes me anxiety. But George, Chad, and Trey have always made me feel comfortable and assured. Their knowledge of the BMW brand, quick diagnoses and overall customer service will keep me coming back. BUT, only if I have an issue, of course!!!!

Found Chad and Total Mini & BMW about 7 years ago when he was working out of a tiny 2 stall shop where their was just him and one other technician. Now he owns a shop with about 6-7 lifts, plus an alignment rack. He now employs 4-5 fully qualified BMW technicians. It is a first class set up with rates 35-40% lower than the local BMW dealership. The work is done right and they only repair what is needed, nothing extra. This is a top notch auto repair shop that only works on a lot of BMWs and a few Minis. You will not be disappointed.

First time customer at Total Mini and will never go there again. Paid for diagnostic on rough start. $1700 and over 3 weeks later we get told that we need to spend another $1700 to get it running right! My car isn’t even worth that much! Would never have ok’d first repair if they had told us ALL of the issues to get it running! Was also promised $100 discount for our troubles and they still tried to charge us the whole amount. Very unhappy with Total Mini.

Amazing service, dependable, honest and ethical! Total Mini & BMW are true professionals who run their business with integrity and scruples. After several wasted repair attempts at other mechanics who claimed to specialize in Mini (including the dealership), I had my Mini Countryman towed 3.5 hours to Total Mini & BMW in Charleston. Chad was able to fix my car and get me back on the road quickly. I will not trust my Mini to anyone other than Chad from now on.

First of all, IGNORE the most recent post by some lady named Lena. She is rambling about Mini of Charleston, which is part of the Rick Hendrick automotive group. Total Mini & BMW has absolutely NO AFFILIATION with Mini of Charleston. Total Mini & BMW is privately owned and operated. Now that we have cleared that up, lets move on to my own review. I actually purchased a 2009 Cooper Clubman from the dealership mentioned above (Mini of Charleston)... the one Lena seems to be upset with. After my extended warranty expired, I went to Total Mini & BMW to get a quote on some work after the dealership quoted me. I went based on a recommendation from a friend that has a Mini and uses Total Mini exclusively for repair and maintenance. I had a thermostat replaced, the front main crankcase seal replaced, and the drive belts replaced. Not only was the quote MUCH lower than the local dealership, but the work was fantastic. Very impressive turn-around time, quality work, good warranty on parts and labor... what else could I ask for? I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner who is a certified Mini and BMW mechanic. As soon as I spoke with him it was clear that he is passionate about the work he does and aims to not only meet, but exceed the expectations of every person that walks into his shop. I would give 10 stars, but Google wont let me :(I recommend Total Mini & BMW to anyone and everyone. I just ordered parts a few day ago and saved some money there as well!

This is a great shop. They really care about the work they do. I spoke with one of their long time customers in the lobby, and he had nothing but good things to say about the shop. They work quickly and make sure to keep you up to date on their progress. If you have a mini definitely bring it to Chad.

Could not have received better customer service. I went in because I thought I had a leaking CV boot but it turned out a shock absorber was leaking. They also found several issues that I had overlooked since my M3 has lately been garaged for extended periods of time due to my working out of town. Chip, the technician, was patient and showed me the issues and we agreed upon what was to be done and the price. The service was performed promptly and Chip went over the repair list and explained all that was done and a couple of items that I agreed would be taken care of by myself. They were not the least bit condescending about me completing some of the items that I had the ability and time to complete. This speaks loudly to their integrity. I would not hesitate to recommend their business to anyone who needs service on their BMW.

Worst auto mechanic shop I’ve ever seen. Desk clerk forgot to write on ticket that I disconnected the battery as not to cause a drain and The technician couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t turn over therefore couldn’t put it on the machine to diagnostic for three days till I came in there and hook the battery cable back up🖕🏻!Here’s your sign

I was told the computer was bad and needed a new one, 3 weeks and $1636 later, i had my car towed and installed a high pressure fuel pump. Car runs great now, Thanks guys

All the reviews are true. Bought a used Mini Checkmate last month for my daughter and took it to Total Mini to get a full inspection. Chad and his crew are great and honest. Chad took his time and explained to me exactly what was needed to get the car road ready. And actually broke it down to what was needed now and what could wait to try and reduce some of the cost. After the service he brought out the parts to actually show me what was changed out so I could see how bad some of the parts were. He really cares about the customers and your car. Since he knew the car was for my daughter he even gave her a business card for her to call him if she was ever having problems with the Checkmate while she was at school. Highly recommended Total Mini--- Exceptional Customer Service!!!

The went Chads shop based on stellar reviews and I called around for pricing. My 2004 325i had a coolant leak issue. The closest shops on James Island and Mt. Pleasant quoted $98-$50 to do a diagnostic. I called the dealership in West Ashley but their diagnostic price was ridiculous and had more than enough negative reviews. Chad started with a $31 diagnostic and explained how the test would find the leak. We got our car back the next day even though he was more than busy with other bimmers. His shop is the farthest from our home(20 miles one way) but after our good experience with his shop, Chad will be our exclusive BMW mechanic from here on out.YOU can tell when business owners care. Plus he has a passion for what he does. I happened to get a quick tour of his entire shop and there is no doubt that Chad knows how to fix it all. Bumper to Bumper as he said.

They take the time to explain their diagnosis which is always great. They even save the work parts just to show you how ot malfunctioned. I always love the class.

Cant recommend these guys highly enough. We were visiting Charleston over the summer when our car decided to refuse to crank or start. After consulting family members from far away, and trying to replace the starter ourselves in a hotel parking lot (that was dumb), we caved and had our car towed to Total Mini & BMW. Lifesavers! They diagnosed as the ignition switch, replaced the ignition switch, and had us on the road back home all in one day. Best of all - it was affordable (which rarely happens as a BMW owner). Thanks for everything!
