German Auto has been my mechanic of choice for many years for my 1991 350SD Mercedes-Benz. They have always taken the most excellent care in their mechanical work and are extremely professional, reliable, trustworthy, fast and knowledgeable. Even though I moved out of state, I will make the trip back to have them service my vehicle because it is worth the trip to me. I know I can trust and rely on them - and after 10 years of having them service my vehicle, and never having an issue, I give them the highest vote of confidence and HIGHLY recommend them!

Very reasonable prices and quality service. I dropped off my car and came back when they called. Germans is the only place I bring my Mercedes and BMW to get serviced. Forget the high dealerships! Germans is alright in my book!!!!

I walked in auto zone prior to arriving at this mechanic. They took a machine to read the check engine light flashing on my dashboard determined that I needed a certain pump replaced free of charge. I couldnt remember the pump model number they had given me so I asked the agent at the front desk at German auto repair to run a machine again to determine the model number so that she could accurately price quote me. She demanded I pay $80 beforehand as a fee for decoding the check engine light.... Auto zone does it free of charge, so has every other German mechanic Ive ever dealt with in the past... Needless to say, I wont be returning here nor recommending it to anyone, for that matter

Car was cranking but didnt start. Was first told it was spark plugs and after that was repaired was told I needed a new key. After I got both repairs done the car still didnt start. So I started doing my own research and asked them to check the fuses, I was told fuses couldnt cause a car not to start. Spent over $630 in repairs I didnt need. Towed it from the shop and sat there and checked all the fuses myself. Replaced 2 of the 3 fuses that were labeled start enablers in the handbook and the problem was fixed. Please do proper research before putting your car in the shop.

I started my Bmw one morning to be surprised by a drivetrain malfunction warning. This gave me a very eerie feeling thinking of the outcomes. Took my vehicle to German auto repair in Summerville and dropped it off around 12 by 2 a clock they diagnosed the issue, which turned out to be a simple battery and said they could have it ready by the next day! Price is very fair considering it’s a foreign vehicle. Very happy with this business and will recommend happily to anyone in need of auto repair.

They are honest people and tell the true about the car problem. My previous shop informed me that I need to have head gasket done because they saw some leak of coolant marks at #5 cylinder on my 1990 300D Turbo Diesel. After 45 minutes diagnostic, they said the coolant system holds 14 psi has no sign of leaking. The only problem is the expansion tank overfilled and that may cause some issue. Other than that you good to go. I offered 1/2 hour shop rate but they declined my offer. I gave a big tip to the mechanic. These people are honest and knowledgeable about Mercedes. I would recommend this local shop for the repairs. Thank you very much!

30+ years with Hans and his team. Began our relationship when he began his business. Back then, it was just one lift and Hans. Has been great. Honest, dependable, responsive, and highly skilled repair shop. Quality is great, and prices are far below those of any Mercedes dealership. Connie and the rest of the office team are always courteous and thoughtful. German Auto Repair has my highest recommendation.

German Auto was nice but I did not get the work I paid for. I took my Benz to German Auto Repair, stating that the AC was not working properly and hot air was coming from the back AC. $1,300 dollars later. The fan was replaced, transmission drained and refrigerant filled. When I got in the car the AC still did not worked. Informed the worker and complain to the owner. I was told by both that it was working and they could feel the cool air.... did not understand what was my problem. I was so upset... I did not go back. Weeks later the gears shift in my car got stuck. I called Benz Dealer, who told me that the transmission was leaking fluid and that my AC compressor was not working. Another $1600 and the car was fixed. The leaking fluid came from the transmission that was drained by German and the AC was never fixed because the compressor was the problem since day one. Do not take your AC problems to German... not sure what they did to the transmission but I was truly pissed by the money they took and the service I got... Beware of German Motors before you take your car there..

Highly recommend, dropped my 300SD off for several issues and got to discuss the car with the mechanics directly. They were able to replace front strut bushings and adjust steering in a matter of hours; I had the car back same day. Friendly and honest.

Had air bag suspension replaced on a E320. New suspension should last at least 10 years. It went flat within 3 years of the repair. I called and asked about the warranty. It is only a 1 year warranty and they wouldnt even look at it without charging a $80 diagnosis fee. They dont stand by their work. I wouldnt have paid for a new suspension if I knew if would die in a couple years.

I was asked to pay $1,000 down on a three thousand dollar repair!! I have never been asked to put down a deposit, I did and then they didnt replace the main part I brought it in for but charged me full price. I didnt know they hadnt replaced the part until when I was leaving after paying the mechanic in the shop told me. They then said that part wasnt in the quote. Total BS. I would never go back,
