Ive been going to Carolina Muffler & Brakes since 1991. Always great service

It can be hard to find a good, reliable place to take your vehicle, especially as a woman. I called around several places to get my muffler repaired, and I landed on Carolina Muffler because I was so impressed with how kind and friendly Frankie was when I called! She got me in the next day for what I thought was going to be a fairly expensive muffler replacement, but it ended up being a small, quick, affordable repair! I will definitely recommend this shop to all my friends and family.

They Installed Flowmaster FlowFX mufflers along with quad 3.5 tips on my 2016 Jaguar XF-S recently. Due to it being a supercharged V6 I was worried that it could be too loud/obnoxious. Luckily they had the perfect solution for me with the FlowFx. The engine now has a more aggressive, deeper sound without being over-the-top. Will definitely have my car back in for other work in the future!

Travis and his crew are the best around. Nothing they cant do. I travel 2 hours for their work with any new vehicle and have for years. These are pics from my new truck where they built a muffler bypass, via electronic butterfly valve, which ties back into the exhaust piping behind the muffler. Flip a switch inside the cab to go from mild to wild. Amazing work!

Carolina Muffler & Brakes did an outstanding job on my 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500. Highly recommend. I was not 100% sure what I wanted to do for an aftermarket exhaust but the staff thoroughly walked me through the process of choosing the right sound and tips. Very quick service, 3-3 1/2 hours and my truck was finished, welds and pipe work were very well done. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and great pricing. Highly recommend. I’m a proud owner of a 2010 Honda Ridgeline. I wanted an exhaust that wouldn’t overstate what it was. Ms. Frankie walked me through several virtual sounds and eventually found what I was looking for. She basically held my hand through the process of installation and pricing, never doing something that I wasn’t aware of. She even gave me a quote before welding. Super professional and friendly, and I’ll definitely be going back. By the way, the Flowmaster exhaust she recommended sounds amazing.

I had a very positive experience getting my rattling and leaking muffler fixed today at Carolina Muffler & Brakes. I called yesterday and they were able to give me an appointment today to diagnose the problem. They accepted my vehicle on time, diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes and provided a price they expected along with some estimates if the work was more difficult than expected. They completed the work immediately, making a custom piece to replace only the portion of my exhaust system that was leaky and nothing extra. Highly recommend

Couldnt be happier with my experience here. It was a little more than I wanted to spend(well worth it) but they did exactly to a T what I wanted and got me in the next day after looking over everything the day before. My custom exhaust looks and sounds amazing, will return for sure.

I took my car here because it was making a loud noise. They said nothing was wrong but a leak. Took it some where else. No my front end was bent. Almost cost me my car because my my oil pan was pushing against it. How they missed this was beyond me.

Honest, straight forward, hard working shop. I didnt think there were any businesses left like this especially in auto repair. I was given options of how to fix my exhaust leak in the flex pipe. My car is so rusted they were unable to remove necessary bolts which has only happened 2 times in their history so they didnt charge me a dime. They were working all day trying and were able to patch what they could. I was expecting to pay labor for a few hours ateast and they didnt charge anything. Amazing business will absolutely be back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

After being told $900 and a wait of 1 week by a chain muffler shop I called Carolina Muffler and Brakes at 12pm. They told me I could come by right now and and gave me price $400 dollars less. My car was done by 3pm!! Thank you for your prompt service and excellent customer service. I highly recommend!!!

I highly recommend Carolina muffler and brakes do you have any exhaust work done. They are very friendly and they do great work and they have a super clean shop. They were very attentive to my car. Their pricing was good and I will definitely use them again.

Carolina Muffler and Brake did a great job making a custom exhaust for my 1978 Landcruiser with a 350 engine swap. I actually set out to go to another shop on Remount based on a recommendation from a friend. That shop was so rude, I would have preferred they just smile and tell me to go away. Instead the guy told me I had to leave the truck for 1-2 days and wouldn’t even look at it or give me a ballpark estimate of cost until I had done so. They assured me no one else would do the exhaust that day. So, I looked at the next closest shop that had positive Google reviews and drove over to Carolina Muffler and Brake. I told them about my experience with the previous shop, Frankie looked at me in disbelief and told me they could have the truck on the rack in 5 minutes, would give me a price and if I liked it they could do the work that day. The price was not the cheapest, but the work was high quality. These guys are pros. I’m really happy with how it turned out. If you want to be treated with respect and receive a quality job, Carolina Muffler and Brake is a great place to go.

Really great place, had exhaust work done at a different place and noticed rattling when I stopped and took off after a week. Was going to take it back to the place I had it done at but my work schedule didnt match the hours so I took it here to see if they can figure out the issue and they fixed it just like that. My car is much better now and now I wish I came here in the first place. I was in and out within an hour

Everything was great. Went for muffler delete and then next day had my sister take it in for flowpros. My vehicle sounds amazing for a v6. Nice staff as well. Definitely recommend.

I am EXTREMELY happy with the service and how thorough they were with my car. I had taken my car to a dealership and they wanted $1200 to fix it. Brought it to Carolina Muffler & Brakes and they were able to fix my muffler issues for $200. They are honest and affordable. I would send anyone here.

Great guys. Quick and easy fix lead to him not wanting to charge me. Couldn’t not compensate for their time and expertise, I still paid. Most repairs shops wouldn’t have turn down any money but I can tell these guys are more about their reputation than their money. I will be back for any brakes or muffler needs. After getting a $1500 estimate from Midas for a new cat converter I ended up stopping by Carolina muffler & brakes. The staff were very helpful and not only replaced my converter but also fixed an oil leak I had for under half the previous price. I highly recommend this place if you want quality work done at a fair and honest price! Frankie was super helpful and very knowledgeable about any questions I had. They definitely earned themselves a lifetime customer.

Highly recommend. Did a great welding job on my muffler and price was reasonable.

Called and as soon as I got to the store and filled out the paperwork my car was on the lift in 10 to 15 min. My issue was a break just before my catalytic converter with a ton of rust which was fixed in 45min for $85. I was shocked how fast the service was for such a good price, definitely would return for future service.

Ive been meaning to write this. These guys are amazing. I got same day service and Steve the guy that owns the place was the man. He was super informative and friendly. They even set me up with drinks and a movie to watch while i waited for them to make my challenger even more awesome. Hope you guys are still doing well keep up the good work.

My family and I have had good experiences in the past, but the most recent visit will ensure I will never come back. We dropped our car off for an oil change and when we received it the handle to raise the seat was broken off AND also the tool for the wheel locks was stripped and completely unusable. We made the front desk associate aware and she said she would let us know if they could do anything after speaking with the owner. They ended up not doing anything for us and they denied it being their fault. My husband was able to fix the lever for the seat but the wheel lock ended up costing us a good bit of trouble and money. We ordered a new one online for $15, that listed as a match for our car. We ended up getting a flat tire, used the new wheel lock tool and it did not fit. We had the car towed to the dealership and it ended up costing $70 just to get wheel locks off. We just wish they would have covered the cost of replacing the wheel lock so we wouldnt have had to deal with all of this trouble. It is also is a bummer that the tech who completed the oil change did not confess to stripping my tool and breaking the seat lever and even more of a bummer that the business refused to help with what they damaged.*Edited to respond to comment.* The handle that was broken was not for the seat back adjustment, it was for the height of the seat. When I drive it, I have it all the way up because I am short, so it is possible the tech that completed the oil change made the seat lower to the floor to be able to drive it. Also, I was never notified that the wheel lock was showing severe signs of wear. ...And, I did replace the tool but turns out it was the wrong fit. The tool I had was the master tool for that set. To replace the tool you have to replace the whole set, which we cannot do without taking it to the dealership, which cost $70. The dealership even said the bolts were on way too tight - which makes it obvious Carolina Muffler and Brakes stripped our tool.

I dont know why I cant get my rating through to them. These people are Crooks plain and simple. They gave me an estimate for a job which was not needed. They tried to charge me $2,000 for a job that I got somewhere else for under $200. Buyer beware. If you can help it do not shop here they are Crooks.

I had to get my exhaust fixed and they did a great job on it. My exhaust is back to normal and the service they gave me was excellent. Very nice people and great prices for any job you need done. They are also very quick so the wait time wasnt too long for me.

These guys are the BEST! I was referred to Carolina Muffler & Brakes by a neighbor. Initially, I thought they only worked on brakes and mufflers and was thrilled to find out they offer numerous other services ranging from routine maintenance to repairs. I could not be more happy with the quality of their work or their customer service. They are honest, efficient and incredibly friendly. Excellent customer service from guys who really know cars- not just mufflers and brakes. These guys have all taken my 15 year old vehicle under their wing and over the past year fixed a little here and a little there as I could afford it. They prioritized what needed to be done and every time they go above and beyond their responsibilities. Needless to say they have completely earned my trust and my car will never be serviced, repaired or maintained by another facility. I love these guys-

Every other place i went to get estimates didnt even know what a midnight pearl exhaust tip was until i went to Carolina Mufflers. Excellent customer service, quick and attention to detail installation, plus great prices. Remember you get what you pay for.

Staff is AWESOME Just not the best shop for a basic oil change. The quality of work and staff get them five stars the long wait for a basic service is the only reason I rated it as 4 stars.If you dont mind a long wait you will not be disappointed.I bought groupons for basic oil change for me and gave one as a gift. We had to wait 2 or 3 hours for an oil change on a weekday since its walk-in only. If they decide to designate one day a week for oil changes that would be great.Attention Owner: Please consider selecting one day a week or a certain time of day during the week strictly for oil changes. No one likes to wait but 3 hours is too long. Your staff are great, friendly and very knowledgeable the wait is the only set back from my visits.

Frankie was was great. I never set foot on the property. Had my car towed to their shop on the advice of another so called mechanic to have a bad catalytic converter replaced. They could have just peplaced it and charged me, but they informed me that that was not the problem and suggested someone else for me to take it to. Honest people. They really know what they are doing here! Took my 2013 Ram in to get new exhaust put on and I got exactly the sound that I wanted at the best price. They also went above and beyond in taking me to work and picked me up when my truck was done.

I have a 2006 Porsche Cayman S that had a Serious Manifold dislocation from the muffler. The Owner, Travis ordered the part, but made a mistake, we got the wrong part. Well, he had it re-ordered, got the Correct part in Over-night from California...and just killed the Re-build. Now my Zoom-Zoom...doesnt go Boom-Boom...any longer. She sounds like an Opera Star once again. You CANNOT go wrong with these guys. Thanks so much, you guys ROCK!

They were awesome. I am from out of town and my exhaust detached. They fixed it in an hour that day and did not try to sell me a new exhaust. They were very friendly and even showed me what they were doing:). Very happy with the service.

Dont waste your time doing the Groupon Oil change with this establishment. Called to try and make an appointment...was told the hours of operation and it was on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Im a truck driver and the only day I get off early is Friday. I arrived at the business at 3:52 and was told by the woman at the front desk her 3 guys were working on 1 vehicle. That she could not get it done and I would have to come back next week, The oil change is a Filler for this business, if they are not busy doing exhaust or brake work they will do oil changes. It may be ok for retired people or homebodies but if you work for a living this so called deal is NOT for you

I went and got quoted for a full exhaust replacement from the manifold back. I got a decent price for the work they were supposed to do. First things first I didn’t check it immediately because I figured I could trust “pros”, but the seemed far from. They spliced new with old pipe and PUT THE MUFFLER ON BACKWARDS!! This caused my muffler to explode. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to any work done here! I wish there was a way to get money back! I feel like I got conned!

I came here after getting two other estimates to replace a broken piece of my exhaust system. One from the dealer – who I’d expect to be high and another from a national chain muffler shop. The dealer wanted $700 with “free labor” because my car was already there for another repair which required muffler removal. The chain place wanted $1500 and they said they needed to get the part form the dealer. I’ve seen the section and it was about 12 inches long (flex pipe). Carolina Muffler and Brakes looked at it and again confirmed what I already knew – flex pipe. They cut off the bad one and replaced it. $210. No upsell, no b.s. The Manager, Frankie knows her stuff too! One of the few times Ive ever have gotten a car repair and NOT felt like I just got ripped off.

We use them for all our oil changes, they are that small company that knows you and treats you well. What I like the most is they dont try to upsell you like many places do, they will inspect your car and give you a report card and you decide what you want to do, not them pushing you too do something that doesnt need to be done.

I bought a coupon from Groupon, and they charge me extra for oil change, and you will pay more if you want to put the “regular” oil. So if I went to the dealership it was cheaper and better!

Had my mufflers deleted on my 2011 Camaro SS from them. Not only was the service top notch, the work was awesome quality! My ride sounds like a beast, will definitely be having the rest of my exhaust work done by them!

Absolutely amazing customer service and workmanship!! They went above and beyond on my trucks custom exhaust. It wasnt the most straightforward job and my truck threw them some curveballs, but I couldnt be happier with how they handled it! Instead of covering up or cheap fixing side problems they ran into during the work, they took the time to make quality repairs to my truck that were outside the scope of the job they quoted me for. The whole team there really knows what they are doing and my finished product is amazing! The owner is very personable and you get the impression right away that he cares what kind of product his shop puts out! I cant say enough good things about this place! I wont trust anyone else to do this level of work!
