Been getting my car serviced here for about 7 or 8 years now, and am on a first name basis with the front desk staff—super professional guys who I fully trust to give me a fair assessment of my vehicle at a fair price. They work with you to let you know what things MUST be completed immediately versus what can wait—I appreciate that kind of honesty.Most recently, they took it upon themselves to compare prices with their suppliers for parts that I needed for my brakes & were able to save me $400.I am very grateful to have found a quality shop I am 110% comfortable with in Charleston.

I highly recommend Aplus Auto. I was driving to Atlanta and my tire light came on. Mr. Mike was very friendly and super helpful! He filled my tires up for free and the light hasn’t come on since. Really great people and atmosphere.

I have a 2018 car. I came in to have them check my battery. They told me I needed a new battery. I called another place and they were going to charge me $80 less installed. When I told them I didn’t want the battery they had, they insisted I pay a $64 labor fee for a battery! There went my savings for the other place. I agreed to go ahead and install the battery, they charged me an additional 4% to use my visa. They did however install my battery fast and in a timely manor. I do believe I paid over price for my battery and install. If you don’t mind paying extra fees this is your place!

Great Place, Amazing crew, cash discount and decent coffee. Prices were good. You do have to call early to make an appointment, they are pretty busy. Only thing they did not have was Wifi.

Words cannot express how awesome these guys are! I was on a road trip from Atlanta to Charleston and happen to stop here for car maintenance. If you live in the area I definitely recommend them! We appreciate Jamie and his crew for all their help.

Service was good and Jamie was helpful. I feel I was charged a little unfairly. I definitely know I over payed for what was done. The markup they charged me on parts was just shy of 100%. Probably won’t be back just due to cost.

They had my car for over 2 weeks after telling me it would be done in 3 days. Then once I thought it was complete I called to come get my vehicle just for them to tell me the mechanic working on my vehicle broke another part trying to fix the original problem and that I will have to wait another 3 days for the part to come in any still wont guarantee that it will be ready than. Mind you they are also closed on weekends. Just not a good experience. They cost me more money on top of the $975 Ive already paid! I have to pay for Ubers to get back and forth to work!

I’d advise all women to avoid going here . Brought my vehicle (2007 Audi A6) in because it was having trouble starting up . They called saying they couldn’t check anything out because my battery was dead & needed to replace it before they could tell me what was wrong . Although, they could’ve jumped it to turn it on I told them that was fine & asked for pricing . They told me battery replacement was starting out at $500 !!! The most I’ve seen for a battery that fits my car is $309 before tax . Even if that was the case, how are you charging me $200 for labor for something that takes less than 30 minutes ???!! I picked my car up & went to buy a battery because I could replace that myself . All the batteries they had at autozone for my vehicle were under $200 . THEY ARE SCAMMERS, DO NOT GO HERE !!!

Our battery charge light came on indicating our alternator was not working properly. We brought our car to Aplus right away and they got us in. We had an alternator and a belt replaced and had our car back quickly. I appreciate their great personal and great mechanics who get the job done well. Also appreciate the cash discount.

Expensive place. $450 to replace my starter. $250 of which for a reconditioned part that I could order brand new on line for $100. I need to learn to do my own car repairs

Hello! I’m not from here so I did a little research before I found the right place. My car is currently at the shop now but I just wanted to drop a review on how nice and professional the workers were specifically Tony. He is very kind and not try to scam me which I was worried about since I’m a female but I will definitely recommend these guys. I will update my review once my car is finish. I’m sure it will still be a positive and honest review. I’m editing my review because my check engine light has came back on a day or so after I got my car back and my headlight ha went out and they supposedly replaced it. And after looking over my invoice I realized I was charged a different amount then what I was told.

They solved a complex air conditioning issue, that originated with previously damaged wiring that was caused by a tire blow out. They fixed the air conditioner, and also fixed the wiring to my surprise. They are honest, fair and provided me with excellent customer service. I recommend them for your auto repair needs.

The staff here was super friendly and were able to do my oil change and inspection pronto even when I missed my appointment after having mixed up the dates. They are super communicative and I like their automated text alerts.

I sent my 2008 town and country for a problem with the lift gate does not close, I had no other problem since I went there, save the 40 amp fuse from adjusting the seats, it constantly burns to repair the original problem. They are charging me $ 400 dollars for error. pay $ 200 dollars to order the piece and want me to charge more money for the other problem that I never had until I got out of there I do not recommend anyone to go there I am angry about this bad experience.

All of the staff are very kind and professional. The work is a little bit pricey. Compared to what Google quoted me. However you get what you pay for. But all in all. They do great work. Fixed my car and it was done in a reasonable amount of time.

I dropped my car off for a diagnosis on a Thursday.. I did not get a call until the next Monday afternoon telling me what they THOUGHT was wrong with it. Valve cover Gasket .. So $1285 and 15 DAYS (FIFTEEN) I get my car back. I was told they test drove it multiple times and had no issues. I drove 10 miles to get home and on the way home my check engine light comes back on. I take it back up there and they then call me back 8 hours later telling me that I need to replace the turbocharger recirculating valve I asked why this wasnt looked at during the diagnosis and I was told this wasnt the problem at the time ... So another $300 and 4 days go by and I finally get my car back...100% do not recommend.

My serpentine belt snapped clean off while driving down the interstate. Stopped at A+ for the sole reason of them being closest. Boy did I luck out! They were friendly, professional, quick and the price was fair. I stumbled on a great shop and will be bringing my business back there. Highly recommend.

I don’t know where to start! I originally came in to get an oil change, but to my surprise I needed new tires. Jaime and his staff went out of their way to assist and help me through making this purchase. They were very kind and extremely patient. I am so appreciative of their wonderful service! 🤗This, by far, is the best mechanic/auto repair place I have ever been to and don’t plan to use anyone else in the future! Highly recommended!!

Great service. I actually had taken my car to geralds who was unable to fix the issue. I called them to see if they could fix it and they said yes. Then they offered to arrange the towing of the vehicle to their, so one less thing for me to worry about! They got it mid morning on Friday, I would have been happy just getting an estimate from them by the end of the day, but they actually had it fixed by 4! Will definitely be going there first in the future

A+ Auto Service was an absolute lifesaver. We were driving from SC to NY and our sunroof shattered on us 20 mins into our trip. We called A+ to explain the situation over the phone, and they were so understanding and calm and started our repair as soon as we arrived (even though we only gave them 5 minutes notice). They vacuumed every single piece of glass out of the car, installed a custom plastic temporary sunroof, and went out to buy gorilla tape and additional plastic pieces to double secure everything. They were very sympathetic to the fact that we had a long trip ahead of us and went above and beyond to make sure we were as safe as possible. They even gave us an extra roll of gorilla tape for our peace of mind! These guys are incredibly kind, professional, and detail oriented and I cannot recommend them enough. THANK YOU A+!

I must say... Ive shopped around 7 different places to get my Infiniti G37s suspension lifted to the factory specs, since the previous owner had it lowered to the point where I could barely get over speed bumps, but when I spoke to Jaime on the phone, I KNEW this was the place to go to. He and the staff was very professional, informed daily of the status of the car, pointed out some things that needed attention such as my radiator hose was leaking, and he repaired that as well. The establishment was clean, the waiting area was very up kept, and the employees were respectful. This company even allowed me to save myself some money and bought my own parts for them to install... Front struts, back spring coils, rear shock absorber, and a radiator hose was all installed by this place with a reasonable price. I will continue to come back for my future automotive repairs, refer others and I highly recommend them!

I was going to have a brake flush and stainless steel brake lines installed on my Focus ST here, but I ended up finding a friend who could do it for free.Either way, I plan to come here whenever I need work done that’s above my skill level, just because everyone I’ve talked to here is SO NICE AND PROFESSIONAL!!! Hopefully my car brakes so I can have them fix it in the future!

Mr. Toni and Mr. Jaime (not sure of spelling) lol but they are the nicest guys. They were very clear at explaining everything that needed to be done and was sure i understood. Very professional staff. Had them do an alternator on my 2014 Jeep Compass. It was covered under my DOWC warranty purchased from my dealer. They diagnosed my vehicle and replaced the alternator and dealt with the warranty company without me breaking a sweat. Nowadays thats rare. Will be returning.

What can I say about A+ Auto Care. Theres actually a lot I can say about this place. My POV truck broke down back in January and I am not from the Charleston area. To be quite honest; considering how I am treat in the commercial truck world and how someone is ALWAYS looking for ways to gouge anyone not from their home town, an auto garage was the last people I wanted to deal with.I ended up calling this place solely due to their near perfect Google reviews out of several hundred reviews. I figured they must be doing something right. I spoke to a gentleman named Jamie? (Forgive me if Im wrong, I lost my note). Citing I was in quite the dilemma, Jamie and I talked for a great while sorting though everything. Considering my POV wasnt drivable, Jamie arranged to have my truck towed to the shop with a tow company they have on contract.After the tow company delivered my truck, Jamie called me with their diagnostics. Thinking I was gonna have to somehow get to the shop to do the approvals, to my surprise we did all of that via text messages. My quote was MORE THAN FAIR and quite shocked really as I was expecting at least a thousand dollar bill. Within 36 hours, MY TRUCK WAS DONE! Getting to the shop was quite the chore (not fault of theirs) so they took my payment over the phone so I didnt have to worry about making their hours of operation. The final payment was to the penny spot on with the quote. Unlike other shops Ive been to where the final bill was a smidge more.Arriving at the shop for the first time, I discovered Jamie was the General Manager of the shop. Awesome guy to talk with. I also had the priviledge of meeting another gentleman who finalized all my paperwork. We as well had a very pleasant conversation. He told me something that has stuck to me, but I wish so many other shops would operate by. He said, Not in any way to be boastful, but rather proud of their accomplishments. Their Google reviews are a direct result of their principles they stand by. Their shop and management team provide the best service they possibly can, ALL THE TIME. To say we are perfect is a lie because we are not. But as long as we strive everyday to be better than the previous, we can leave everyday knowing we did our best!In closing, I can say so much more about my experience with this shop, but I think yall got the meat and potatoes. Thank you for the wonderful service and experience, I will certainly be back.

They got our Avalanche running perfect and worked with us! If I could rate this 10 stars I would! They were also concerned about our little furbabies as well. If anyone has any kind of vehicle issues please take your car here to this location. They make you feel like family and are very honest! Best place ever from here to Columbus GA! Would give 5 stars but was disappointed by several factors. Sent wifes car to have brakes done and rotors were not turned before installing new pads. The reason given was the rotors didnt have enough meat on them. Which they absolutley did. They did end up turning them but it wasnt made a priority took a long time to get it done.

The service was just okay, if several time the brake job was completed. I wasnt happy with the inspection and the follow-up. They provided a warranty on the first brake service but not second brake service.

Aaron and Jamie are two trusted guys in the auto repair business. They even made my wife a believer, and shes from NY, so you know they had to earn it!!! Car repairs get the blood pressure up. These took care of that with dependable service and a better than fair price. And theyre nice people. We are A+ Believers!

I went to A+ for a tune up. Literally, I called all over town for a reasonable rate & didn’t have any luck. Was referred to them & I have to say was extremely pleased with the service & price! I took my car in 8 that morning, my car was done by 11am! Which was PERFECT! The guys there were very friendly & informative. I highly recommend A+, they really stick to there name!

I had one of those emergency problems and was trying to find someone to help me. I called so many people in Charleston to help me get my torsion key bolts replaced and they did. They got me in at 11 and was done right before they closed. They really was a life saver to help me out and were very helpful. Will be back.

A+ Auto Service in Summerville deserves 10 stars. I had been taking my SUV to the same place for 11 years. Unfortunately the mechanic was very neglectful (probably for a while) and I knew something was wrong with my car. I was not going to take it back there. I wasnt sure where to go and I ended up bringing my car to A+ Auto Service hoping it wasnt anything too serious. Well it was... They ended up having to put an engine in my car. Ashley was so sweet, very helpful and accommodating. Excellent costumer service! They went above and beyond to find me an engine for my 18 year old car that I love and want to keep. Even though I needed a new engine they were still very reasonably priced. They didnt break the bank and I will eventually be able to financially recover from this. It was a blessing to have taken a chance with A+ Auto Service because God only knows what the other place would have charged me had I taken my car back to them. A+ Auto Service you have a new loyal customer and my car sounds great!!!! God Bless :)

My car arrived from over seas and had a internal issue that wouldn’t allow it to start. I live 3.5 hours away from where I had to pick it up in North Charleston. A+ Auto Service just fixed my broken latch on the trunk door of my Toyota Sequoia, and in the past replaced all 4 tires. They have always provided excellent service & are very affordable! We took one van last week and could not be more happy with the service, friendliness & clean shop as my husband noticed. We have two older cars and are trying to get the most out of them before buying. The diagnostic fee is reasonable and we highly recommend A+ to anyone. My husband has the ability to repair cars, just not the time. Everything that was diagnosed was accurate and labor is reasonable!

Im so grateful for this shop - we came to them last year after a long series of crummy and unethical mechanics, and have been so happy with their service every since, from basic maintenance to major mechanical work. They are polite, clean, prompt, helpful, thorough, and honest. As a military spouse whos usually on my own with our small kids, I love them. Theyre great about giving you a loaner car if needed, or letting your kids watch educational TV in the lobby; today they gave my kids toy trucks to play with (and keep) during our oil change. Highly, highly recommend.

Brought my car here to have front brakes serviced. Jamie and his team got the job done quick and did a fantastic job. The price was great and they are a pleasure to do business with. I would recommend Jamie and his team for folks looking for great auto service.

They (Jamie aka mgr) tried to take advantage of my young adult child. He had his car towed in, asking for a free estimate, and when the price they quoted him to replace 2 struts was $1600, I called around and realized they were trying to rip him off. They then hit him with an unmentioned Diagnostic Fee of $99 plus $2.70 for supplies (??) when my son informed them it was more then he could afford so he was having it towed elsewhere. He wasnt allowed to get his car until this fee was paid. (I ended up paying it because I was tired of arguing the facts with Jamie). If they would of TOLD him they were charging him $99 to look at it, this wouldnt of been a problem! We would of had it towed to a better place. But holding his car hostage, hindering him from trying to fix it, so he can work again, was very slack and unprofessional. Just another auto shop ripping people off, one way or another. Dont take your cars here!!! Call around first. Dont let the better reviews fool you!! They ripped us off and couldnt care less about their customers. I want my money back. Totally not right to charge my son or anyone something without notice. Im sure its because we werent going to let them do the work. Six hours of labor for 2 struts: $576. Plus parts.. go elsewhere! That would of been $1000 in parts, that I found elsewhere, for less then half their price! Plenty of private Mechanics out there who wont rip you off. Zero stars is what they get from me!

Replaced rotors and brake pads hassle free at no cost when they warped within the warranty period!Reliable and trustworthy crew, Im always confident theyll do it right. Theyre not the cheapest shop but all their work is warrantied and they usually offer you multiple ties of products depending on how much money you want to spend. Theyll even let you bring you own parts for maintenance just dont expect them to warranty those parts.

I bought a new car in February and didnt think I would have problems with the AC unit in the heat of summer. I called CarMax and they said they were booked and I would have to find through their website a local shop who could fix it. Im thankful that A+ came up because from the moment I made contact with them they were absolutely courteous and professional. They had to order a part but made sure to refill my freon and set a good expectation in regards to to a time frame, when it arrived they fixed it promptly. Their service was so good and are conveniently located that they will continue to have my business with my oil changes or any repair issues. Rick was pretty awesome! He patiently answered all my questions and took all my calls with care.

A+ has been a consistent, trustworthy auto shop for us and our auto service and maintenance needs. The manager has always taken time to explain to me exactly what is going on with my car, any uncertainty that they have with the diagnosis, and the best/cheapest way to proceed. Ive never seen any evidence of them trying to sell me something that I dont need--that is important! I have a Chrysler Pacifica that now has 200K miles on it! It is going strong. I had multiple oil leaks fixed, a complete new AC system replaced, an intake leak repaired, and a transmission service done on my 2008 Ford Escape. Because of the laundry list of problems I told them to keep the vehicle as long as they needed to. It was there for several days but I was kept aware of everything that was going on with it. Jaime called and kept me up to speed on the progress all the way to the end. The prices I was quoted before the work began were the prices that I paid when I picked up the vehicle (minus a discount that Jaime gave me, thank you very much!). No surprises or hidden fees, and all work came with a 4 year/48,000 mile warranty! All problems that were addressed were fixed and the vehicle is doing great! Jaime was polite and professional through the whole process, and he gave me a complementary oil change I can use on my next visit. I have found the repair shop I will use from now on! Thank you A+ Auto Service!

Just had 4 tires installed. Service was quick. Price was outstanding. The service guys were friendly and polite. A+ also handles all the maintenance and repairs for ALL of my fleet vehicles. I never have any issues.

Welp it happens, the years of driving like a mad man and the salt in the air got to my baby. A couple of days ago my vehicles brake light turned on, after some inspecting I realized I was leaking brake fluid out of my passenger side line, whomp. So I did the only thing I could think to do, I sent a message out for Auto Service in the Yelp app within 10 minutes A+ Auto Service got back to me and gave me a quote for a tow (a much cheaper cost than most). They came that night to pick her up and just like that I let my girl into the arms of another man. The next morning I received a call that they had already assessed the issue to the vehicle, gave me a reason for why it may have happened and then proceed to explain the procedure they were going to do to fix it, the time it may take and what other issues they may find, followed by a rough estimate of cost. Unfortunately, the poor girl had some issues that they found along the way, but every time they gave me a cal to explain everything again and give a rough estimate before going ahead with the repair. Finally, after two days she was all fixed up and ready to come home, a quick turn around and friendly customer service all around. Would return again for any other vehicle issue! Thanks guys!

I took my vehicle to their Montague/Dorchester shop per the Pal Plan with Carmax and both Rick and Jamie were the best! Not only did they make sure my vehicle was thoroughly looked at with my concerns, but they took the time to call Chrysler Dodge to see if my car was still under factory warranty, which it is. This showed me their honest approach to assisting me as a customer and though they “lost” the business because it is still under factory warranty, I will definitely return there for future service needs. Their customer service speaks volumes for their true care for their customers. Highly recommend them!!!

Went in and told them what’s wrong with my car and they decided it needs work that costed me over $700..... NOT EVEN 1 HOUR LATER my car has the same symptoms it did before I took it in... so I called them up and they told me it’s something else... i asked then why did you fix something that has nothing to do with the problem... they told me some faulty story and refused to reimburse me for my prior work but told me the will still fix the current problem... I honestly didn’t even want them to do any further work on my car and I won’t be going back again

These are the nicest auto repair people EVER! My car battery died in the airport parking lot while I was away for 5 days. The airport security wasnt able to jump it. Had it towed to A+, they checked my battery and got it started and didnt charge me a dime!!! It was right before Christmas and this was the best gift EVER! THANK YOU A+, youre great and SOOOO human!!!!!

I brought them my 2008 Mustang GT that has had an ongoing vibration issue that nobody seemed to be able to figure out. I have taken it to a few shops and spent well over $1000 just trying to get it fixed. All leading right back to where I started...vibration.Went in for a $99 diag and got the most thorough rundown of my car I have ever received. They found absolutely every little thing this car needed to be properly maintained, and pointed me in the right direction.Prices were reasonable for the substantial amount of work I received (new control arms and a bent rear axle was replaced) I would highly reccomend this shop to anyone who wants things done the right way. They have very knowledgeable staff and have made this experience a breeze.

March 2018 Update: Once again, A+ Automotive has gone above and beyond what was asked or expected! I had some repair work done to my old, but much beloved, SUV in January and it turned out that one of the parts was faulty. They replaced the part free of charge, which I expected, but then went beyond that and corrected an issue that stemmed from my denting a quarter panel over 10 years ago!! Much appreciated!! I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years and counting. I highly recommend them!

Nice, friendly, and respectful staff. I had a engine check light come on over the weekend and the staff were quick to take a look at it. As a walk they were easy to get me in.

I dont know how to put into words the fantastic service we received here. I had to have a full engine replacement and could not believe how much they helped me navigate those waters. They could have raked me over the coals in auto repair, but were honest with what was wrong. Because of that, I had them fix a few other things and it was still cheaper than what I originally thought was wrong! These guys are great and will have my business from now on. Great job guys!
