Darrell (the owner) and Bob are great guys and really know their stuff. It’s so refreshing to find true mechanics who can actually fix things instead of a lot of today’s Techs who just know what the computer tells them. I believe these guys could fix your car with their eyes closed that’s how experienced they are! 30+ years of expertise In British automobiles is apparent. I am fortunate to live less than 5 miles away I know that my Jaguar XK is in very competent hands!

When I purchased an MGB last April (2020), I needed to find a mechanic that worked on British cars. Charleston Import Automotive was highly recommended. Darryl and his team have done a number of corrections, updates or repairs on my vehicle this past year and each time Ive been very pleased with the work. Most recently they replaced my cars old vinyl top and I couldnt be more pleased. I will definitely continue using them and have/will continue to recommend them.

They ordered my parts and said it was come at 12 and my car would have been finished by 3 pm. They were exact and on time. They had my car finished and the cost of the repair was reasonable. This was the second time that I have used Charleston Import Automotive. I had some extensive work done on my 1968 MGB GT and when I drove it home up I 26 it ran great and I even passed a few cars. It took a while but the wait was worth it. Thanks to Darryl and team I am back on the road again.

Darryl is the most knowledgeable person (about English) cars that I have ever known. He corrected a lot of problems on my recent purchased Rolls Royce. I could not believe the difference in the ride and handling of the Rolls after he completed the work. I was leaving town and had heard of this company via AlfaBB.Had the car towed in and asked them to evaluate the situation and give me a call.The car had a full review and they presented a list of repairs/solutions, etc.Prices were reasonable and communication was first class.All of this was done remotely - cell phone and email.This is a first class shop and the service managers, techs are very professional. I worked with Darryl and he was a real help to make sure that the repairs were performed correctly and completely. This was a great experience. I took an old car in there for a lot of issues that had built up over the years. They did a multiple of test and checked everything that was well with the car along with some things that needed attention. This was a 33 year old car so they had to order multiple parts. Once the parts came in they jumped right on my car and it is running like new.

Told me the issue with my vehicle was an internally shorted battery (Pure BS, but I went along with it because I dont know everything.). Of course I authorized the repair, simple fix. A few days later I get another call. Seems the fuel pump isnt working. Well, too bad bud; you chose the $300 repair over the $1100 repair. And lost my trust in the process. Theyre looking for suckers, you could be next.
