My boyfriend and I came to Northern Tool to get a certain welder that wasnt on the floor. Daniel went to check the back and came back with the welder and great customer service. His pleasurable personality was greatly appreciated. He is a fantastic employee. The front checkout man and the security guard also were extremely helpful and a pleasure to talk with. Went to Harbor freight the same day and had nowhere near the same service. These guys deserve a raise. They made our experience great and will return because of them.

This store rocks! I was in need of a Battery Charger Engine Starter, and they had several different ones from all price ranges. In fact, I was surprised at the magnitude of stock they had in the store. It was like, a Pep Boys or Auto Zone on steroids! Not to mention, the staff was extremely nice and professional while interacting with me.

Im normally very satisfied with Northern Tool BUT...I had to cancel an order...I also burned a $20 Northern Tool gift card on this order.I normally buy Harbor Freight Predator 6.5 engines. I decided to give the Ironton 208cc a chance since I had a gift card.... My mistake.Northern tool needs to do a better job of posting online products out of stock. Its irritating to order something and then find out its out of stock AFTER youve ordered it. That feels kind of like a bait and switch.On top of that, they sent me a customer satisfaction survey and it would not let me submit it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bertie is the nicest and most helpful lady. She always has our account pulled up once we come in and when I referred to Walmart having totes she laughed and said aww baby you’ll be back they don’t have the quality of materials you need for your type tools. I walked in asking for help with regards to power tools. A nice lady by the name of Dawn helped me find everything I needed, and in my opinion went above what she needed to do to make sure I was taken care of. She even helped me get all the pneumatics fittings all squared away. I’m definitely going back when I need more tools.

Great selection, reliable customer support. The Honda engine parts I needed were in stock on the shelf when I needed them. Quality tools and power tool supplies. Competitive pricing on the items I ultimately purchased here (not true in all cases, unfortunately) Overall a very good company, one that I seem to be using more as time goes on.

I have found some good deals here. I visit this store once or twice a year, but have never had a bad experience. The tools are well known name brands and you can find many solutions for your projects. I keep them in my bag of tricks.

Today I spent 45 min to an hour asked for help twice and still didnt get any. I was trying to buy a chainsaw, the last thing on my list, already had two shovel, two chains for said chainsaw and more, easily over $600. So after not getting help I left everything in the cart and walked out, on the way out the door I threw up my and said loudly Thanks for all your help and to little surprise NOBODY tried to stop me and see if they could even help me then. On top of that this my first visit. I really dont think Im going back until they get better customer service.

Every time Ive needed to call and talk to someone, or ive needed information, theyve always had it. They are very knowledgeable about their tools as well as their policies, and have always tried to help me save money, whether that be by informing me of an upcoming sale or deal, or by telling me where to find promo key codes. I am always confident that when I buy from Northern Tools im getting the most, in terms of sales, service and product for my money.

Terrible customer service. I called on the phone 2 times and was put on hold 2 times, and never helped at all. I drove to the store, found what I was looking for without any help from anyone even offering to assist. Theres a line backed up at the register and only 2 clerks at the register. It took me 15 mins before getting checked out. I spent over $300 in store, but I never will again. Ill shop elsewhere.

Dawn was a great help today in finding my chock lock. Also, it was wonderful to run into a former student.

Every visit I was greeted and provided with excellent customer service and each associate had awesome product knowledge and if they didnt, referred me to an associate with expertise of the exact product I needed. There was no faking it or condescending babbling so it was very good to see such honesty and professionalism. The store product lines holdup very well, so you are getting good quality at great prices. As long as this store continues to provide such awesome quality, service, professionalism, and value, I will be a returning customer.

I ordered a couple items to be delivered to the local store. I received the notification email that the items arrived. As directed, I called the local store once I arrived. However, no one answered so I went inside. A cashier at the Pickup register engaged another employee to go to the back to retrieve my order. After 20 minutes, I asked the cashier to check on the pickup so a page was broadcasted. Another 5 minutes went by before another person came from the back to ask me about the order. (The store was fully staffed with at least 10 employees.) 3 employees then started looking for the order, and after at least 30 minutes, my order was found and brought out.

I came looking for in inexpensive hammer to hang some pictures and someone pointed me to the wooden bins where they had some on clearance...I forgot the gentleman’s name but he was verrrryy helpful

We just called to try to buy a log splitter. The first person left on hold for more than five minutes. We hung up and called back and the person who answered the phone responded with, well, Im going to just look this up on the internet like most people would do. If we could get the answers we needed on the internet, we wouldnt call. WE WILL NOT BE BUYING ONE FROM NORTHERN TOOL! That was incredibly rude!

Terrible manager daughter came from Florida to see her dad for his birthday and went to the store to get his gift. They were out of the product and would not sell the display item. Needless to say I wont be back we had money in hand. Bad business. Will buy somewhere else.

Forgot why I dont shop there!!! Very clean and well organized, I was looking for pressure washer and display was perfect. No one was there to answer my questions. I had to read on each box to find out what would be the best fit for my needs. So far so good until I loaded in the basket and when to the cash register.... OMG waited exactly 27 minutes and in front of me with one one person. Those cashiers dont know what are doing.... Why they think that I have entire day to stay to be checked out???

Northern Tool + Equipment on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston is a complete store for all things tools and equipment that you need to get the job done whether it be big or small. There comes a time when you want to stop asking people to borrow their tools and gear and get your own and this is the place to go when that day comes as they can equip you for just about anything.The staff here is very knowledgeable and does everything that they can to make sure you find what you need.

This is a nice Northern Tool location. Its a great hardware store more geared towards industrial and large construction, if you will. Its kind of a mix between tractor supply and home depot, but the stuff that neither place carries. I usually go there for work related items, and I work in manufacturing. I just bought an auxiliary fuel tank for a generator, but can also be mounted in a pickup bed, and they had a great selection for gravity feed and fuel transfer. They have all you need for this kind of thing. I also recently bought a pneumatic one inch drive ratchet with a three inch socket. This isnt cheap Chinese made stuff like harbor freight. Its higher end, mostly American made items for trucks, boats, landscaping companies, and construction firms. The staff is very helpful and courteous, and can find the knowledge if they dont have it. And they stand behind what they sell.

Really bad place for Generetor purchases and service. Bought a brand new generator, put oil and gas in it to use it, and it never ran. Went to the store to try and get it exchanged and they wouldnt exchange it because i had put oil in it. How else was i supposed to star it? And they couldnt get it to start either.

For such low quality tools, they were fairly high priced. Harbor Freight is a much better discount tool store.

I went it to buy a mount and ball for my trailer hitch and one of the associates helped me locate and pick out the correct part I needed. The store has been recently reorganize and it feels great now.
