Amazing place. Great ambiance. Loved the wood fired pizza. Excellent service even though it was a busy night. Saturday evening was like a 40 minute wait - but they called us before 30 min. The food and drinks Made the wait so worth it. Also, if you love zinfandel’s try the 100 year year old aged whiskey barrel wine. It will not disappoint.

Found this spot as a YouTube suggestion. It is a small spot, and not big in size. The staff is friendly, and attentive. Their food is cooked fresh, and is prepared well. First time eating Pesto Piistachio pasta. I wasnt a big of the taste. I wouldnt order that again. Other than that, I enjoyed myself, and I like this place.

I went here the other day for lunch and it was absolutely exquisite. The clams and shrimps in tomato sauce were divine, the sauce tasted like it was cooked for a while, it was very pulpy and there was no acidity in it. The focaccia helped to clean that sauce from the plate. The pizza was really good, the dough was light and easy to digest. Definitely will come back

Great Italian restaurant with very delicious food and wonderful cocktails. We got a few appetizers, their signature fried pizza, and a pasta dish that was served out of a cheese wheel that was on fire! The service was a bit slow since they were busy but the food made up for it. The atmosphere is nice. They have a well-stocked bar and great lighting and decor. Their fried pizza was very unique - a must try.

I can’t speak to the quality of the food, as we couldn’t get a table. It’s a shame, since my partner and I had been so excited to check this place out. However, It seems that the owner of this restaurant finds it necessary to impose his political views on his staff and patrons, as evidenced by the “Let’s Go Brandon” t-shirts the servers donned. Maybe we were better off leaving.

I am indulging the moments of being able to attend this wood burning pizza, italian/portuguese spot without the riff raff of ny times food critic followers. Being a jersey city native and seeing razza pizza blow up to becoming a pompous pizza parlor was a sad moment, not so much from the business but more from the customers. You can see in the picture that the slice upon being folded has a great shape as amazing napolitan style pizza should. The pasta here is amazing and homemade. Our waiter has been there for the past 4 years that ive been attending. I am lamenting the time that this place blows up to be what it should be but until then i will continue to enjoy the BEST pizza in NEW JERSEY. Thats right, best pizza in the state without a doubt. Small place so the seating is tough to come by but well worth a 45 min wait. PS the art there is DOPE and made by the owner Antonios cousin. His instagram is full of sick portraits as the ones there.

Dreadful. First, we were yelled at for opening the front door for too long. We were then told we couldnt be seated until our full party had arrived, but the restaurant wasnt even one quarter full. When we asked if we could sit at the bar while we waited, the host made a big show of how much of an imposition it was to even ask. He went to check and never came back. This happened twice with two other staff members. Finally, we noticed that every staff member was wearing right-wing conspiracy anti-Biden t-shirts. We left. Cant even review the food because the service was too bad to even get in the door.

Cute wood burning pizza place in Edgewater with an extensive menu. I had the arugula salad with Gorgonzola cheese, pears, and walnuts and the burrata picante as appetizers here. I thought both were ok/good. I was looking forward to tasting more honey in the burrata picante dish as it was described on the menu. The focaccia bread it was supposed to come with wasn’t actually focaccia bread, but more like pita bread. I wasn’t impressed enough with either to order them again. I’ll try different appetizers next time. I had the Quattro Formaggio and the La Montanara pizzas. Both were very good! The best one out of the two was the La Montanara. The dough to that pizza is delicious! They should make all the pizzas that way. They fry the dough before they put in the the brick oven. The tomato sauce it was topped was really good! The only complaint is they didn’t put enough sauce on that pizza. They needed to spread it out closer to the edges. The Quattro Formaggio pizza was topped with high quality cheeses. You can actually taste the Gorgonzola, mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta. For dessert I had the fried Oreos which were so good! The next time I want to try their Nutella Zeppolis! I saw someone order them, and they were raving over them! Porto By Antonio makes a really good pizza using high quality ingredients. I recommend Porto By Antonio in Edgewater!

One of the satff seated a goup of people right next to my table when there were so many tables available at that moment. I had to ask the server to move our table or if we could be seated somewhere else. The staffs should be aware of this and be more considerate about this.

Bad food and very doughy/dense pasta. The sauce was a bit bland. There was no apparent host present at the front, and it took 10 minutes to get ahold of one. It took us a while to be seated and ordered our drinks after 20 minutes. When I went into the restaurant to ask for a spare plate after our waitress was absent, a waiter laughed at me. Additionally this isn’t necessarily the restaurant’s fault but there are many mosquitos. I was constantly slapping myself like a madman and I killed at least 30 mosquitos on me and was stung 12 times.

Went to Porto by Antonio with high Hopes the other day for lunch, I have my favorite places for lunch but sometimes I like to try new places and give the little guys a chance at my business. The place is really cool, its actually an old garage. The seats are metal and most uncomfortable to start, the staff is friendly but you get a sense from them as if their doing you a favor for being there. I placed a request for a pitcher of red sangria for my wife and I, comes a tiny little thing filled to the top with ice, you might get 1 and a half of a full glass of sangria if you removed all the ice. For this pleasure you will pay 25 dollars. Also not sure how much alcohol in it but very weak to top it off. Should have walked out then and there as my wife suggested especially after calling over what seemed to be the head guy and letting him know of my annoyance of this little tiny 1 and a half glass 25 dollar weak full of ice pitcher of sangria, but we didnt. Went on to order 3 appetizers that where expensive and not all that great. Ordered 2 different pizza pies, which is actually small personal pie for 1 pretty good but again very overpriced for what it is. I guess if your into a place with a cool ambieance, very expensive food, weak expensive small portioned drinks and a Luke warm waitering staff this is the place for you. As for me my motto is this, you only get me once. I will never set foot in there again. I rate Porto a one star. By the way if you want reasonable really excellent food a super friendly staff and a real size pitcher of sangria that actually has a nice kick to it, check out Viva Margarita which one block down from Portos.

Hidden gem? I think not. I heard about this place and I decided to go to celebrate a special occasion. The food overall was bland and barely had flavor. The service was horrible because when we wanted to order anything, we had to yell or wave at the waitress to get her attention. After appetizers, the waitress didn’t bother to bring us more utensils or clear the table for the entree. Also, instead of getting free bread for the table, there is an extra $5 charge for bread. Extra charge for bread at an Italian restaurant, never heard of it. All in all, I do not recommend this place at all. I’d rather eat at Chick-fil-A then come back here again.

Went to this restaurant for the first time to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday with her family, and I do not expect to return in the near future. First off the menu is very confusing, you do not get what is described to you in the menu. After eating appetizers the waiter/bus boy did not clear the table for the entrees which made for more traffic at our table, the food was okay but not good enough for the expensive price tag. Waiter barely checked up on us and had the audacity to add a 20% tip to the bill. I recommend spending your time somewhere else.

We were there for lunch today and ordered a pizza and kale Caesar salad. As a classic kale salad we assumed there would be anchovies so we asked our waitress to add anchovies to our salad, and she pleasantly said yes; however she failed to disclose to us that will be extra $4.50 for 3 pieces of anchovies as we would most definitely say no to that, and ordered something else. Salad was overdressed and drenched with the dressing. Pizza was fine, however extremely skimpy on basils for a Margherita Pizza. So I would rate the food with a 3-star rating generously if we did not experienced anything else wrong. however, not letting us know the $4.50 extra charge in advance puts my review to 2 star. It got even worse after I talked to the waitress. She basically said ONE WORD: OK( I am not exaggerating seriously ! ) and went straight to clean her table. We were so shocked with how dismissive her body language was towards our feedback. This is not acceptable!, and if you don’t care about your customers rethink about working in a place that suppose helps customers. We all have a purpose in life and in things that we do as work, I wanted to ask her- what is your purpose work in this place if it’s not for customers ?

My experience is well summarized by the following statement: Ive had better Neopolitan pizza in Canada. My party ordered a Vesuvio, a Verdura, and a Pork Belly Tartufo. All three pizzas were underseasoned with bland, dense crust; the mozzarella had little character or flavor; the vegetable toppings on the Verdura retained way too much moisture, imparting the texture of a wet sock; the concept of a stuffed Vesuvio should have lived and died in the mind of the imaginer.I would be less frustrated if the price point didnt set high expectations; theres nothing intrinsically wrong with a $20 personal pizza, but you have to maintain very high standards of flavor and quality to charge this price. Do yourself a favor and take your business to one of their many competitors.
