A&S Comics offers a friendly, professional and diverse comic book store. Tony, Alex and Dan are truly a class act, and are highly informed about the comic book industry. I found this shop after not collecting books for 20 years and I’ve managed to cultivate a new love for the hobby, much in part because of the guys at A&S. They always go out if their way to meet any personal request or accommodate a special interest. Clearly, A&S is operating under long standing, high quality character values. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find local comic shops with the combo of great inventory, fair pricing and pure friendliness. I grew up with A&S as one of my nearby shops and decades later, I rediscovered it as a distant go-to location for specific items. This place is great for new comics, variants and a ton of awesome back issues. One of the best, searchable back issue sections online as well with GREAT pricing. Can’t say enough positive things.

Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable! I used to go to the Bergenfield location growing up in the 90s and so glad to go to the Teaneck location as an adult to satisfy the kid in me with either comics or collectibles.

First time in this Small shop. Lots of comic books and action figures - staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a great, local comic shop to visit. Small and intimate, if youre someone who comes in for the regular new comic Wednesday, youll be remembered quickly. Every time I walk in, Im greeted by name by Chris and Kevin, who run the shop. Both are very knowledgeable about their comics and merchandise. Ive read that they overcharge for comics. Thats silly, they charge what is on the cover. Some people may be referring to specific special comics, where the value is supposed to be more than the original price as they were Limited Edition covers, a more sought after back issue, etc. Those actually into comics understand. They have all the new stuff youre looking for, as well as a pretty large selection of toys and collectibles. Kevin can sometimes accommodate comic requests (within reason, no asking for Detective Comics No. 27), hes made sure Ive received some back issues that were tough to track down, as well as a series that wasnt carried prior to. Chris is on top of all things collectibles, and we often have conversations about new Pops, statues and action figures on the way. Both are very approachable and helpful, as well as friendly if you spend time enough to have conversations (like I do far too often). They do pull-lists and can even accommodate to the specific cover youre looking for if they have it and you let them know. Couldnt recommend this place more!

Went to the store over the weekend. Staff was friendly and answered all of my questions. Knowledgeable and helpful. They assisted me in finding the comics and Funko Pops I was searching for my collection and that of my boyfriends. Prices were affordable. A great comic shop! Staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable of everything. From comics to toys, these guys know their stuff. They have helped me several times to find those hard to get items as well. I totally recommend checking out this place.

This is a great local treasure. The staff is always willing to discuss the latest news and trends regarding the ever changing landscape of the various Marvel and DC comics continuities. You can also make requests and have them hold orders on your comics and favorite toys such as Pop vinyl figures, which is great. Highly recommend for new and old fans of comic books.

Whenever I walk in, no matter how many times Ive walked in during the week, (recently very often,) Im always welcomed by Kevin and/or Chris and treated with great hospitality. The shop itself is awesome and packed with amazing stuff, as my planned quick trips have turned into an hour long stay a few times, as Im frequently distracted by everything thats in there. If you live within driving distance, do yourself a favor and come visit this shop.

A&S Comics staff are very friendly & knowledgeable. When I first started to get into comics, they were able to guide me to good titles and steered me to books I would like. Also, they are always ready to help out if you have any specific requests about a book or collectible. A & S is the place to go for all comic book fans who live in northeast New Jersey.

This small comic shop goes back to the days of yore when the knowledgeable comic shop owner could tell you everything you could want to know about every comic book ever... not to mention that comics from his/her era were far superior to those being produced today. The staff is friendly and willing to help you out with finding new/old comics to read. While this is a small shop, there are a number of other comic related items (action figures, posters, etc.) for sale although the select is meager at best and this is certainly a comic shop first and foremost.

Ive been going to A&S for years and Ive never had a bad experience. The guys there are really cool, knowledgeable, and always come through for me, sometimes even going out of their way just to help hook me up with something Im looking for.Its the only comic shop Ive ever felt like hanging around for more than ten minutes.

I always have a good time going there, from the people who work there to the great friends i made from other people i met there. There is something for everyone young to the old, new to comics or a big fan. Small store but big on everything else.

I have been going to the North Bergen A&S Comics since I was a kid, over 20 years. Through the years there have been many guys who worked there but none of them have been a better tandem than Kevin and Chris. Friendly an knowledgeable customer service and a great selection of toys and comics. They are my go to shop every Wednesday for my new comics too!

These guys now what theyre talking about! I challenge anyone to question their comic book knowledge. Theyre definitely willing to help. I went in there only wanting to read WW, HQ & Catwoman (the chic comics) and they made me feel very comfortable and even explained back stories for me.

Ive been shopping here for years. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially since the staff had a change shortly after moving to their new location. If they dont have something that you are looking for they will go out of their way to get it for you.

A&S carries comics, back issues, tradebacks, statues, toys, Pops (Pop addict? Come here they havr plenty to choose from and the largest selection I have seen in the area!) and MORE! It is conveniently located in an area that has accessible public transportation and VERY easy to get to. AMAZING staff and very KNOWLEDGEABLE!

Staff is rude, comics are over priced and not too big of a selection. Your better off going somewhere else. They ignore you when you have questions and automatically answer we dont have it when looking for specific books. Would rate lower then one star of I could.

Ive shopped her about 40 times give or take.Of those 40 times 39 of those times I left the store upset either due to bad customer service or lack there of . From being asked why do I want to read that, your Latino, to my personal favorite your taste in comics are disgusting . On several occasions I had to interrupt the staffs personal phone calls /facebook surfing session .Yet I dont wish to give it 0 stars because I have yet to see good customer service from a comic book store

Whoa! This is just an amazing comic book store! I love that they carry tons of Harley Quinn items. The one guy who is usually there, he has like these amazing blue eyes and he totally knows his H.Q stuff. He is not the only one who works there but if you are into anything and especially Ms.Quinzel go to him, just look for the big blue eyes you cant miss em.He will take you there,um, to the Harley and Joker memorabilia. I have been going to this location for many years. they always call me when my things arrive and do special orders as well. i have known these guys for years and they always help me when i ask.

If you want comics this is the place to go I suppose. I dont follow comics. On the other hand if you are searching for cards youre out of luck. I came looking for Pokemon and he barely had anything. Barely any Yu-Gi-Oh. Much less any Dragonball which is blowing up right now. Didnt even have a decent selection of sleeves. I wasted a trip here.

Unprofessional, arrogant and racist gringos in a Latin neighborhood! Do not go there!Came in hunting for some specific comics. Got stared at hard all unwelcoming. Ignored it tried to look through the bare selection - just 1 wall worth of comics - everything else was magic the gathering cards and toys ruined by bleaching in the sun.When I asked if by chance they had the titles I was looking for, he scoffed and said nah. I asked about other titles, and he blows up and shouts look we dont got it!I would never ever spend money on them.

A & S Comics & Cards has your classic comic book layout. Theyve been around for a long time so they know how to run things with efficiency. They have a good selection of new and old comics, they also offer a small selection of manga. A & S also sells collectible toys and Funko Pops. Theres a small selection of Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic The Gathering, and Pokemon cards too. The service there is professional and they treat their customers with the utmost respect.

The regular shop keep is rude, will not make conversation and has yelled racist/obscene comments at customers in front of me. This store has lost the business of more than 10 of my friends due to this guy. I only go back in the hopes of seeing him replaced and for nostalgia.

If I could give this place a negative I would! Stay away from this comic book store - prices are over priced....customer service is the worst! The guy in the store only speaks when you ask him a question. And replies very RUDE....top it off they nickel and dime everything. The Plastic sleeve and cardbord is an extra charge and I never paid for that before... also seems like he is reusing them they are not clean or even new. Avoid this place! I am never coming back here again!
