1 of my favorite places to Go...an array of local and crafts Beers and Beverages...with Refillable Growlers there is always something new to try. With Seasonal recommendations and long-term craft options you cant go Wrong.

I happened across this treasure by accident as I was strolling the streets of Ghent waiting for an office party to start at Mermaid Winery last night (20 November 2019). I could have easily stayed here the evening instead! The beer on tap was fresh, and the conversation was refreshing (thank you my fellow Buckeye behind the counter!). I’ll definitely be back with a few growlers to fill!

Possibly the best bottle shop in the 757! A carefully-curated selection of the best beers, ciders, and meads. Not a vast selection, but you may still be overwhelmed by how much you want to take home. Staff won’t harass you, but is perfectly attentive when you need them.

My favorite place to get all our beer needs! A wide variety of ever-changing beers and meads in bottles, cans, and drafts. They are always able to get a hold of unique and hard to find beers and staff is very friendly and helpful in offering recommendations and answering questions.

Love that they carry mead from Superstition Meadery! The selection was decent. Well organized. Friendly staff. Would return if we live in the area.

Nice people. Good vibe. WAY too expensive. Easily 20% overpriced. Cheapest growler fill was $20... thats about $4 per 12oz beer. They have some unique/hard to find brews, but not much else. Seems like traffic has slowed since they first opened... likely out of business in a year or two... too aggressive on margins.

Nice selection and Fannie gave expert and knowledgeable advice and guidance with both bottled and on-tap selections. She offered me multiple tastings from the taps and paid attention to my reactions and preferences. If you love beer, cider and/or Mead, or dont yet but think you could, go to BottleBox and learn something new and take home something great.

The owners are super personable and knowledgeable about craft beer, and theyre always willing to give recommendations. Not intimidating at all, even for someone new to beer. Theyre constantly switching out new beers, so its a great place to try something new. Id definitely recommend making it your new regular one-stop beer shop.

This place is awesome and probably the best place in Norfolk to find really good beer. The prices are fair and the people who work here are so friendly and knowledgeable about what they do. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends.

Place has beers types that I have yet to find elsewhere. New England IPA on tap? Yep.They are on opposite side of building listed on listing for directions but they are cool, clean and nice. They sell can, bottle, grenade, and you can sample whats on tap.

Theyve got a knowledgeable staff that actually enjoys beer so youre not being helped but someone who doesnt know a well-refined IPA from a Natty Light. The selection is impressive and according to the two women that helped me, based on business, theyve got a new keg to be tapped every few days- youll never be bored with the offerings. I will absolutely be back.

They have an awesome selection of beers on tap and an even larger selection canned/bottled. Their selection is constantly changing which is also very nice!Prices are great and the team is very friendly!

Bottle box was on the back of the shops on west 21st it is a supply shop for the home brewer they even have a machine that can can your brew the staff was helpful and the store was clean and well lit .

The two ladies in there were incredibly nice and the place is ridiculously nifty. The only problem comes when you’re attempting to pick a reasonable amount of things out, while also trying to resist the urge to buy a little bit of everything.

Always an excellent selection and service to match. Often can get crowler fills of hard to get beers 🤙

Always carries interesting new things, awesome tap to fill growlers and cans with (though they do fills only and u cant drink a pint there, something to be aware of before you visit), a great place to find beer to bring home :)

Bottled beer selection of my dreams, amazing selection on tap and an incredibly knowledgeable crew that helps me make great choices. Their relationships with other brewers means youll find beer here that you wont find anywhere else.

If you look at my profile I dont really leave many reviews, but sometimes certain places simply deserve it. Let me preface this by saying I love dark beer and am fortunate enough to have a large cellar of rare BBA stouts and still be married. I went in and chatted with the owner and she is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about beer without being pretentious. She was willing to provide brewpub and many other local recommendations as well. Even provided a free sample without knowing if I would buy something from the store. There is a small but well curated collection of beers compared to my home beer stores in Ohio (we have a lot of giant beer stores in Ohio, not saying the inventory is small). I will definitely frequent bottleBOX when I move to the area a few months from now. Looking forward to seeing what else they bring, and hopefully sharing some midwest beers with the owner in the near future while learning more about the Virginia beer scene.
