Awesome experience purchasing our mattress. I thought for sure we were going to spend half a day on this project..or longer! Purchasing a mattress is a huge deal! And you have to literally live with this decision for at least a decade so you definitely want someone who knows what theyre doing and what theyre talking about. I purchased a Beautyrest hybrid back in November but didnt have it delivered until February. I knew that the mattress didnt feel right but I just figured because it was on the boxspring on the floor (just moved and bed was on back order) maybe that was the issue. Finally received the bed months later and the bed still didnt feel right and we noticed the mattress was shifting. We filed a claim for a replacement which we were told it took 2 weeks which was OK. I received a response back in less that 48 hours stating it was approved and to head in the store. Well since they were running a sale at the time the mattress was cheaper. When I went in the store to ask for a replacement mattress of the same one, I was told that since I got it on sale I would have to pay full price for a new one (of the same mattress). After the young man spoke with a manager we worked something out. Fast forward to the delivery, when the guys came in I ask have they seen anything like this mattress. They stated yes its because the mattress probably was part of the last deliveries and it was standing up too long on the side which made everything fall to one side. When they stood it up, everything fell to the bottom and the middle looked deformed. Needless to say its ridiculous that I had to go through this and was going to be charged extra when it was an issue that was out of my control and they know that this happens from time to time. After knowing what I know about their warranty, I wouldnt make another purchase and seeing the other reviews about this mattress, I wouldnt recommend it. I think the employees need to know information about these mattresses before they push and promote these to the customers.

Mr. Sandeep was very professional and informative. I appreciated how straightforward he was as he laid out the pros and cons of the various bedding options. He provided demos explaining the effects on the body and why certain beds would be better than others based on sleeping positions. As a customer, its refreshing to walk into an establishment where the sales rep. listens to what youre saying with the goal of helping you make the best purchase possible. I ended up making a better purchase than what I originally came in for. My experience at Mattress Firm Ghent was top shelf and I will be returning as long as Mr. Sandeep is there.

Went in to shop around and the sales guy approached us and gave us a lot of good info and was helpful. But then he started asking us info to see “how much credit we could be approved for.” Okay, fine, I thought maybe it was a soft credit report. A week later I receive a credit card in the mail from mattress firm. He literally tricked me into getting a credit card and my credit score took a dive because now I have a card with less than a year on it. I’m use to pushy sales people but this just crossed a line.

Most awful shopping experience ever. Our Salesman Fritz was very nice and helpful but the Corporate rules were the problem. They do not keep the mattresses in stock in the stores. Consequently there is a $99 delivery charge or you have to go to the warehouse in Chesapeake to pick up the mattress. After we slept on it we realized that we didnt like it and wanted to return it. We were told by another salesperson that we had to keep it 30 days. So it sat in my living room. I called a different location and was told that we could return it after 21 days. My husband called the Ghent location yesterday and was told by the manager to bring it to the store anytime after 10am. When we got there today it was Fritz again. He told us that we cannot return the mattress to the store, but have to have it picked up at our house for a charge of $99 plus a restocking fee of 10%. Every person that you speak with has a different story. Consequently, I have to take time out of my work day to wait between 11&1 for the pick up of the mattress. I will never deal with this firm again. Buyer beware!!

I recently went to this location to buy my first “adult bed”, and the service I received here was impeccable. I really needed a bed because I was moving into my first apartment. A gentleman name Will Evans helped me. He truly had a lot of knowledge on the different mattress types. I ended up getting a pillow top mattress and he also introduced me to 2 amazing pillows! One smells like lavender and the other smells like coconut! I was very nervous about price and paying but he helped me get financing as well! Very professional and selfless man! He really cared about what I was looking for and made sure that I selected the mattress that would be the best for my sleep. I have had it for a couple of months now and I LOVE it a lot! Many of my friends are jealous of my incredibly comfy bed! :) GO SEE WILL!!! He is great!

My husband and I have been shopping for a mattress and just happen to be shopping at the right time. We walked in Mattress Firm during their Veterans Day sale. Ben greeted us and immediately explained the color coding within the store and left us to figure out what type of mattress we liked (firm, plush, etc). Once we figured out the type of mattress we wanted, we were able to narrow it down to a few. We were never pressured or push to go in any certain direction. Once we made our decision he was able to accommodate a quick delivery. We just received our mattresses two days ago and realized we didnt need the metal frame that we purchased along with our mattresses. We called Ben and he was happy to refund us without any issues. Our whole experience was great!! We highly recommend.

My husband prefers a soft mattress and I prefer a firm one. Sandeep was very patient with us and helped us compromise and narrow down the right medium firmness mattress for us. It was even under our max price including a mattress protector and delivery! Delivery was just 24 hours later. Calvin and Jamal showed up in the first 10 minutes of the two hour delivery window, and had it up our narrow stairwell and in place within 10 minutes. I’m not sure we’ve ever had a big purchase of anything go this smoothly before.

After doing some research online, we discovered that Mattress Firm had the best Labor Day deals. Since this location is walking distance from our house, we decided to go here. We had a pleasant experience and did not feel pressured to purchase any particular kind of mattress. We also received a military discount, since my husband is in the Navy. The best thing was that they were able to deliver the same day, so we had the new mattress by the end of the day.

I went in today for the Labor Day door buster deals. The deals on everything were great, but I only needed a new memory foam pillow as my current mattress is still brand new. Both employees, including the manager Naseer, were very friendly and super helpful! They were helpful with suggestions and did not pressure me into buying anything else. Great customer service all around.

Was outright lied to about pricing. 899 mattress that we dont give discounts on willy nilly. I even told them I used to sell mattress before. Oh well, called up another mattress firm in NN and purchased the SAME product for 475. I guess they want to either hit it out of the park or not make a sale at all.The girl there was nice. On 2/15 when I paid for the mattress your sales person Sandeep gave me a 9 am to 3 pm delivery window for Saturday 2/17 (very tough to plan with that wide a gap -but okay). On Friday 2/16 at 8:52 PM your company sent an email saying that the delivery would be between 9:45 am and 11:45 am. I did not pick up your email notification until 8:30 AM on 2/17. I jumped in my car and immediately started driving the 2 hour drive to my new apartment in Norfolk, calling the store every few minutes to tell them I was on my way and hoped that they could deliver at 10:40 am that day. After several phone calls to the store (that btw never went to a voice mail) I finally got a hold of Byron, explained the situation. Byron said he would call the warehouse. At about 10:00 am (while driving to Norfolk) I got an automated telephone message from your company saying the delivery would be there in 10 minutes. I immediately called Byron back who said the warehouse could not reach the driver and was there any way for me to get to my apartment in Norfolk in 10 minutes. I told him I would have to drive 90 miles an hour and asked if the driver could wait. He said they were only allowed to wait 10 minutes then they would leave. I said I would try and see if the landlord could let the driver in. Not 2 minutes later the driver calls (on his cell phone, leaving me to wonder why the warehouse could not reach the driver) telling me he is waiting for me and that he cant wait any longer. When I got to my apartment the leasing agent said no one had shown up. I went to the store and asked for my money back and with a smirk on his face Sandeep said it would take 7 to 10 days.I cant tell you when I have had a worse customer service experience.Good Luck

I can tell you when I have had a worse customer service experience. On 1/31 when I paid for the mattress, the same sales person Sandeep gave me a 12 pm to 6 pm delivery window for Thursday 2/8 ( had to miss my entire shift at Applebees, and pick up an opening shift at iHop to make up the difference). On Wednesday 2/7 at 11:43 PM, I received an email stating that they would be modifying the delivery window to 8 AM and 12 PM. I did not read the email until 8:30 AM on 2/8, during my coffee break at IHOP. Luckily my manager was able to let me go, but I had to take an uber and spent all of my tips from the morning just to get there to meet Sanjeep, but then they didnt even send Sandjeep. My phone was dying so I used the uber drivers phone to call the store to let them know I was on my way and to please allow me some time to get back to my apartment. They did not answer several phone calls and apparently dont have voicemail. I finally talked to Sanjeep and he said he was leaving for the afternoon and told me that I would have to wait for the shift change to get a call back from the next associate. Whoever that was (never gave me a name) said he would call the take care of everything. I told them to please call the uber drivers phone back, since mine was dead. Keep in mind this ride cost $34. Apparently during all of this, my I got an automated call on my dead phone, saying the delivery would be there in 15 minutes. I continued to call from the uber drivers phone, finally got an answer and it was Sanjeep for some reason. But whatever. He said that they are not able to talk to the delivery guy, and told me I had to figure out a way to get there sooner, because apparently after 10 minutes they will not wait any longer. My uber driver got into an accident during all of this, so we had to wait for the police. I had the uber drivers family calling me while I used the phone to again call Mattress Firm and beg the delivery driver to wait. The uber driver offered to pay for me to ride the HRT bus the rest of the way home, but he would not refund my uber ride. I told him I lost everything I made that morning and that now I was about to lose my mattress. Luckily my daughter sent me a new Uber ride and that guy was blasting reggae music. Finally after I got to my place and charged my phone, I got a voicemail from the original uber driver letting me know the driver had to go make another delivery or he would be late. When I finally got home, my neighbor said they never saw a Mattress truck. So then I ubered back to the store (and pay uber again), and Sanjeep was busy so I had to wait for 20 minutes. And my phone was dying so I just called uber again and left. They did finally deliver the mattress but it was a week later and I again had to miss my shift. My back pain is starting to get better, so I will give another star above the first star.Like others have stated, you can get a deal, but good luck.EDIT: Removing star because the mattress I paid $599 for is now on sale for $299.

We bought a TempurPedic today. Its been 10 years since we bought our last mattress and I am glad we made this store our first (and only) stop. The manager, Naseer, was a great help. He was informative and patient with my need to try the beds over and over (and over). I appreciated that he was not a pushy salesperson; he seemed to genuinely wanted us to get the right mattress.Mattress Firms price match guarantee, free delivery, and 100 days to change your mind arent bad either.
