My daughter had her face make up done here, the lady who did the make up was excellent professional .

Polite and courteous employees. Has a variety of makeup, skincare and perfumes. All at reasonable prices. The employees are are attentive and they make that u have found everything that u were looking for. Such a great atmosphere and experience. I will definitely go back for sure!

I had a fantastic experience with Anthony and Aiyanna the other day. This was during the Covid pandemic and despite the precautions both customer service representatives were incredibly attentive and helpful in finding me products for my skincare and sunscreen needs. Not only were they both incredibly professional but both of them were very knowledgeable about all of the products and different types of skincare issues that affect people and were easily able to point me in the right direction, even showing me some new products that I had read about but didn’t realize were probably perfect for my skin. The were also able to maintain a personalized service with me while creating that same atmosphere for other clients that came into the store while I was there. It truly felt like I had two personal shoppers that knew me forever helping me. I was very impressed. I am generally not someone who would ask for help but I am very glad I did, and very happy to leave a review on any place I can to recommend both of these staff members to anyone in the area interested in getting an excellent experience.

I had a phenomenal experience the other day when I just stopped in to pick up one product and met Anthony and Aiyanna. I’d like to mention their names specifically because they made me feel welcome, unintimidated, educated me on products that I would not have looked at which have helped my skin conditions, and were overall a great asset to any retail environment, despite the Covid restrictions. They not only made me feel like I was having a private personal shopping experience but they attempted to provide that same level of service to other customers who came into the store while I was there without making me feel left out or overwhelmed. Both of them also made an excellent impression of professionalism as far as their cosmetics and skincare. I know that in a few make up artist situations it’s is important to wear the lines that you’re selling and make them look interesting to the clients, and both Anthony and Aiyanna wore very appropriate makeup for their positions. Overall it was a very good experience that I am eager to repeat, something that I don’t often feel like doing.

Okay, so this one guy/gurl was working that day, and my 7yo son asked me: Dad why was that (he didnt know what to refer to him as) person dressed like that? I had to explain to him that some people are Very confused and think they are something they are not. But they have great products if you want to smell good and paint your face.

Got into makeup a few years ago as a way to express creativity and boost my confidence. As a disabled woman, I am often treated like I do not belong in the beauty world. However when I go to Sephora I ALWAYS feel welcome and celebrated. Love the helpful and cheerful staff who are willing to help with swatching, product suggestions, makeup tips etc. If you are on a budget, Sephora brand products are excellent at a fraction of the cost of big name brand products. Five stars from me!!!

I sometimes struggle to find vegan makeup that matches my complexion. ELF was the first brand I found that matched well so I stuck with that however while I was there one of the women working the suggested that I try Tarte. Tarte matched my complexion well and leaves my skin feeling great without the cakey feel. Easy to say Tarte is now my brand

Very very helpful staff. My stepdaughter and I had a good time looking at makeup and being able to sample blush and eyeshadow colors. They of course are on the expensive side, but their selection is very high-end.

All the store associates were extremely sweet and helpful. The associate at the register reminded me that I had a Beauty Insider membership therefore completely forgot about the birthday gift, and even though months had passed, she gave it to me on the spot, which she totally didnt have to do. Definitely coming back.

One of the guys here was rude. He would offer his help and roll his eyes and get annoyed when people actually needed his help. They should really make the managers and employees take monthly classes on proper community service. I’ll stick to ulta and Mac.

Found what I was looking for with help from associate

I had a great experience! There was male associate that greeted me and asked what he could help me with. I was looking for a foundation match with Bare Minerals brand foundation. He called out another associate to help me with that. The female associate helped me remove my make up to test out the new shades. She tried three shades and she didnt make feel rushed or self conscious about my skin, I struggle with hyperpigmentation from acne scars and Im extremely self conscious about it. I settle on 2 seperate colors to blend for a perfect match. She also helped me find a make up remover. Both sales associates left me feeling very satisfied with the service and the products I purchased.

I prefer this location to all others in the area. Im always treated well, never ignored, have every question answered and love the makeup and makeover services. Thanks to everyone that works at this location!

I just left the store after walking around for 15 mins. No one offered to help me. I need a good powder. It is Tuesday mid afternoon. They are not busy. So on to the MAC counter. Pay attention...never know how much money walks out.

I absolutely avoid this location. I decided to write a review after several shopping trips. No one ever greets you when you walk in and after walking around for 10 minutes looking around no one asked me if I needed help. They will look at you but never ask you if you need help. I found someone stocking shelves and asked about a particular product. She told me that they didnt carry that brand anymore. Instead of offering to help me find something similar she just kept stocking the shelf. I walked away and at that point didnt feel like dropping any money in there.

This is my least favorite Sephora location. Most of the staff is rude and unprofessional. They put more energy into following you and hovering, aka profiling and assuming you’re there to shoplift, than they do actually trying to help you. Every now & then you find someone happy to help, but this is the exception not the norm. Typically, a staff like this is a direct reflection of its leadership.

I went to this Sephora looking for some new makeup and the employees were very nice to me and helped me find exactly what I was looking for! I was in and out of the store within 20 minutes with everything I needed and more! The employee that helped me was very understanding and even gave me some makeup tips for applying my new makeup. After waiting a long four years my prom night finally arrived. I had everything planned out perfectly, but I didn’t plan on the extremely rude service I received at Sephora at MacArthur mall. First off she was sixteen minutes late to my appointment and I had gotten there early. After she got there she rushed into my makeup. When my family, who flew in all the way from Texas, would point out something that didn’t look right she would turn to them and sharply ask “well what do you think I should be doing”. Throughout the whole experience she was rude and snarky. Then I asked her to fill in my eyebrows more because there was barely anything on them, she filled them in a little more but it still looked awful. After I ask her to really define them like the Instagram brows she got someone else to do them and left me alone because she had to get to a family dinner, so not only was she late but she also left early. Grated the girl who came over after her was polite and did my eyebrows like I asked. Overall I am extremely disappointed with the whole thing. I was also late to my prom because of how long she took and I ended up looking like the main character from black swan. This store seriously needs to work on their attitudes. Shout out to them for ruining my prom.

Went into this Sephora yesterday to find some skin care and when I asked one of the associates for help she snapped at me and said they dont carry that specific skincare line I was searching for. She was incredibly rude. She couldve at least offered to help me search for a different one. It was not busy at all in there and it normally is, but at the time I was in there it was slow. She just couldnt be bothered and had a terrible attitude.

When I first walked in I wasn’t greeted and I found someone to help me and she was no help at all so then I asked another lady a question and she pointed to what I was looking for but still not excited to help. Finally I found this lady that seemed like she was excited to help and seemed really educated about the products. Her name was Rebecca and I told her my concerns and asked what products I should use and she knew exactly the 2 things I needed and she took the time to explain them and discuss why they were a good fit for me all while being extremely sweet. If it hadn’t been for Rebecca I would’ve given this Sephora 2-3 stars. She was the best.

My friends and I love this Sephora! They carry very high quality products and their perfume selection is both varied and classy. I personally favor the Sephora brand, Stila, and Kat Von D products in particular, though most all of their products are lovely.

I always get bad customer service at this location. It was like my being there was an inconvenience. I was shopping for about 10 minutes before anyone spoke or asked if I needed help and there were several associates and very few customers at the time. I love Sephora, but after my experience today, I will find another location to visit.

Ive been to many Sephoras in search of a foundation and have been greeted and ignored or just flat out ignored every time, this one includes. Maybe its because I dont wear a ton of makeup, maybe its because I dont look like Im prepared to drop a lot of money. Maybe they take one look at my fair, cool skin and run screaming because they only sold ghostly pale or warm colors. But I feel like stores dont get enough recognition when they do good things. I was put on the match list pretty quickly by the lady running the floor. Jasmine immediately showed me to Makeup for Evers red tinted foundation and found my perfect shade. For someone whos bought 20+ bottles of drugstore foundation and failed, thats a huge success. Thank you Sephora MacArthur!

My experience with Sephora in norfolk was very very aweful. I made an appointment for my daughter to get her make up done. The sales associate never made the appointment. I told them she has an appointment I have the confirmation number. Their sorry ass still wouldnt do my daughters make up. So my daughter got very upset and started toconfront them on their mistake. These sob called all the secruity and police on a 411 petite little girl as if she was a super threat to them Im going to report their sorry asses to corporate. I dont appreciate the manager or who ever the hell she was lie to my face. I will put this up on all social Medias.

I came to Sephora in MacArthur Center, Norfolk with my mother this evening and was very disappointed with experience. There were about 6-7 employees working around 7pm when we came in looking for a lipstick. Not being quite experienced with makeup, we wandered the store looking around for a while and not once did a single employee offer to help. If it wasnt already astounding enough to watch them stand in a group of 4 where they appeared to be loudly gossip/giggling in the corner, we stood in line behind an employee who was purchasing their own products and this took some time. I wasnt happy with my experience at sephora tonight and i wont be back anytime soon to this location.

I have shopped at this store four times. While there are a few associates who will greet you and ask if you need help, most will not.

My sister and I were having a shopping spree on Friday and even tho we have an Ulta closer to our house we decided to stop by and look around. Cause its Sephora and why not? A woman came up to us and before saying anything gave my sister and I a look from head to toe. I mean I admit we werent wearing our usual amount of make up, but you cant be looking at your customers as if they dont belong in the store. I use to really like Sephora but we will definitely make sure never to shop at any of them again. Id rahter stick to Ulta where the prices are the same and they definitely have a better staff that handles customer service better. Some advise tho, make sure to get staff that doesnt look down on customers just cause they didnt feel like wearing a ton of make up that day.

I go into this location to try some samples just to see how they work before I drop a ton of money on the products (obviously since everything is pricey at Sephora). How off putting it is when one of your loud, annoying sales associates announces youve been trying a lot of stuff! to me. If youre going to put out try me samples for every dang product in the store, then let a customer test a few or more of them without being bombarded for it...sheesh. That alone puts me off from ever coming back to this location.

If you are of the tan to dark skin likeness, they most likely wont have your shade in stock. This is my 4th trip to this location (in a 6 month period) after trying to get 3 different foundtions from different lines. The latest was my shade in Fenty Beauty, alot of items were sold out and even the testers were pulled. After talking with a sales associate that told me that informed me they were going to restock tonight thwn walked away anf no one wanted to offer further assistance. Just make the journey to Virginia beach and go to the mall there.

This is location is a little smaller than others and customer service is a hit or miss, but Anthony (one of the MUAs who does makeovers) is amazing and well worth visiting this Sephora!

They are rude and disrespectful people at this location When they treated my fiance rude on the phone and keep hanging up on her when she asked for a manager, but when i go in there they flat out lie to me. On top of that to havetyour employ be rude to a customers in front of the manager n her say nothing.
