I came into the store to look for some gifts for a mature new bride. The ladies were helpful and patient in helping me to pick out some really nice items for the new bride. There were delicate lady items for a new purse, fragrant lotions, sanitizers, a delicate round crystal light for her bedside, a beautiful frame set for her fireplace mantle, a gorgeous table setting for romantic dinners in, or for a small party of four which included candles and candle holders. On top of all of that, the ladies wedding gift wrapped all the items so beautifully that the bride just cried tears of joy when she saw them! They really outdid themselves on the gift wrapping! The bride took a bunch of pictures of the presents and kept pieces of the different wedding gift wrapping and bows for her photo album. I myself just recently went in to purchase some linen handkerchiefs to carry in my purse. They were so delicate and pretty with little stitched butterflies in the corner. I carry really expensive purses and I just wanted to have some lady like handkerchiefs to put in them. Disposables are fine and in this day and time we need them, however, sometimes you just want something really pretty to have in your purse. Youve got to try their spiral twisted candles on your table because they are gor-ge-ous!!

This shop is truly a hidden gem in Norfolk. Great for everything from home decor to gifts, with a friendly and helpful staff. Its almost impossible to leave empty-handed, there are just so many pretty things! I just bought a lamp there today and am pleased with the quality and value. Charming local shop, well established and loved for its quality and good taste. Absolutely one of the best places to select a lamp, or for assistance in selecting a lamp shade and designing a beautiful piece with finial and the correct harp for your intended use. I stopped in today on a whim, and left with new batteries in a watch I purchased there (they have a jeweler on site), and for a gift, a copy of Tidewater on a Half Shell, the local Junior League cookbook of treasured local recipes. I hope to return for their open house this Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6. Their shoppers have wonderful tastes in home decor and clothing. Some unusual and beautiful items, and wonderful service from their staff.

Lovelace store beautiful items for Christmas made some purchases

I went in today around 3pm to look at possible updates to the interior of my house, because I was frankly bored and waiting for somebody to meet up with me. I am 22. I had a LOVELY conversation with one lady in the store however on my way out of the store I was chased down by a lady who acted very weird from the moment I walked in. She accused me of stealing until I very quickly proved her wrong. Don’t go into this store unless you are an older white person, because that lady will most likely watch you and make you feel very uncomfortable. Discrimination is not alright. It’s not acceptable.
