Renee and Bay were great to work with! I needed a collision center after my truck was in two incidents in less than 2 weeks. Three other collision centers would not even look at the damage for 2 to 3 weeks even though I had an estimate in hand. They worked with me and the insurance company. They made multiple calls to me to keep me up to date. They were even fine when I asked to see the truck during its repair. They took care of the repairs and the truck looks as good as it did before. They exceeded my expectations and excelled in customer service where Southern Auto, Priority Auto, and Caliber Collison ultimately failed. Insurance cannot dictate where the repair is done! Hopefully I do not need them again, however if I do I will reach out. There is your before, during, and after.

I was looking for a local garage that I could trust. Im happy to report that my search is over. Lindsey and the team at Bay have earned my business and trust. I chose Bay because of the great reviews and distance to my home. They diagnosed and told me the problem free of charge. Once I selected them to do the work, they did an excellent job but after a day my check engine light came back on. Lindsey was great to communicate with and worked (2 additional times) to get my check engine light off permanently. The extra visits to get my check engine light off were free of charge. I know it seems odd to comment on an individual/business doing what is right, but in this day and age it truly is hard to find a place you can trust. You wont be disappointed with the customer service or work from Bay Collision.

Was referred by a family friend to Bay automotive. My car AC broke in the dead of summer and was miserable. They were able to see me and diagnose the issue in the same week. ET was kind and kept his word (which is hard to find nowadays) he explained what was wrong w/ my Escape and was patient with all of my questions and concerns. 1 week later and my AC is crankin like new...I am so grateful for the prompt and efficient service at Bay (850 W 40th st) I would recommend this shop because they do what they say they will for the price they said they would and thats all I can ask for and more. Today I am retracting my post from yesterday on rating Bay automotive. I am putting them at a four-star for the moment and once my vehicle is completed as it will go back in tomorrow and they did get me a rental provision so that I can continue to work without interruption. Bay automotive has been great and communicating back-and-forth as I’ve been trying to get my vehicle back in there for the last two weeks however without transportation that creates a problem as I drive Daily that is my job. Understand I was just a bit upset seeing something other than what it was originally going back in for that was incomplete and was only pointed out as my boyfriend got underneath my vehicle just to look at everything and saw that a portion of the vehicle was not repaired which was damage due to a hit and run. I was very upset because I couldn’t believe that it was missed and this may have something to do with why it was going back in for the imperfection that I noticed a day after I picked it up from the original repair. So I will do my final rating when I pick my truck back up.

Great service! I had a puncture and called several places before this one and they couldn’t get me in for several days. This place came highly recommended and I’m so glad it was! ET is honest, and that is HARD to find. When i drop my car off I know for a fact he isnt going to call me saying i need a total engine replacement or something insane. Definitely the first service center I have ever genuinely trusted. Theyre also super nice and will work hard to squeeze you in if you are in a pinch and need something done quick. I cant recommend these guys enough.

Very poor customer service, the owner really needs to be more responsible for quality control. After several drop offs and pickups they couldn’t even paint window trim as promised and paid for. They kept missing completion dates. Shoot even after their fresh paint job they chipped paint and didn’t repair it without me informing them and it was very very OBVIOUS!I warned you!!!!!

Bay Service and Collision is easily one of the best shops for body work/repairs in Hampton Roads. They are super organized, and Renee, Jimmy, and the rest of collision are a DREAM TEAM! They kept me in the loop almost daily on the state of repairs, and even stayed a few minutes late for me the day that my car was finished, as I couldnt quite make it in time. They seamlessly coordinated with my insurance company (Progressive), despite being out of my insurance network. The work itself was fantastic - the body work and paint matching are perfect. Not to mention they CLEANED MY CAR, which I now believe is a level of service that we all deserve :) My car came back *so* much better than when I dropped it off. This is my second time using Bay Collision, and there is no doubt I will continue to return for more of their top notch service!

Other shops try to add every additional charge possible when a vehicle is in for service. That is not the case with this location. Rob is an honest and knowledgeable adviser, and we bring all of our vehicles to him because he will give us a fair price and a realistic diagnosis.

I showed up Friday with a busted side mirror from driving too close to a garbage bin on an already narrow road (curse you, Tidewater Drive!). Within 20 minutes I had an estimate, prepaid for the part, and was out the door! Renee (who is phenomenal) found me a low cost replacement, painted it to match my vehicle, and put it on the following Wednesday. I was in their office a grand total of about 40 minutes between the two visits. I will most definitely send others their way, and well have our other vehicle over there for an estimate on some bodywork very soon.

While I was on a trip, someone backed in to the back side of my truck. Damaging the bumper and side panel. The insurance company, listed this location as an approved body. They had me schedule appointment on a Thursday, to do the pulmonary and go over contract. They told me to drop the truck off the following Tuesday. They ended up finding more damage behind what we could see. The estimated 2.5 to 3 weeks to get parts and would do they work. 9 days later, they called it had it ready. You cannot tell the difference between repair and manufacturer. Hope I never have to do this again. But if I do I know where Im going.

Customer service is excellent! Cant say anything about their repair work - yet. Ok, so the repairs are complete on my vehicle. It looks really GOOD! One note: I have no clue how long repairs are supposed to take but they changed my completion date 4 times. Maybe thats normal but its also frustrating.

Don’t take your car anywhere else! Took my truck there yesterday because my airbag light was on and I couldn’t pass inspection so they dug into it and found something unplugged behind the radio and didn’t charge me a dime. Got to my vehicle at the time the appointment was set and rob was a very nice and helpful guy. He’s an old senior chief for my fellow navy guys.

They messed up my car door panel really, had to take it back and its still mess up had to pay more money to get it fixed. If your going to do the job do it right and stop messing up people cars. I will never use this place again they are a rip off. I can see if my door was mess up but it was in perfect shape before they took it off to do the body work just sad.

I had been quoted over 400 dollars for brake work from another shop and wanted a second opinion. Also had an oil filter cap that was completely stuck, which the previous shop told me would be a few hundred dollars to break off and replace if they could even find the part. I made an appointment with Bay Automotive by ODU, and not only did they fix the oil cap for less than 100 dollars but they told me I didnt need any work done on my brakes, they were fine until the end of the year. I am so pleased!!A huge thank you to the team at Bay Automotive Old Dominion, you have just gained a faithful customer!!

I had my car serviced there today, for a recall, and Anthony is a darling! I had to schedule the appointment about two weeks ago and then I had to schedule it due to something that popped up and he always answered the phone happy and was always so polite and respectful. Its wonderful to find people like that because it makes life easier especially when it comes to getting your car serviced. A lot of places are rude and Im very picky about where I go. I was only there for less than 10 minutes for a quick fix and the whole staff was very nice and welcoming. Should I need anything else done to my Saab, I will definitely call them first.

Starting with the estimate, the claims processing, to their impeccable quality of work & superb customer service; Bay Automotive is wonderful! When they finished i couldnt tell my Explorer was ever damaged. My inspection expired while my vehicle was being repaired and they made sure to inform me and get that done prior to pick-up.... a day earlier than promised!This one stop shop has a customer for life with me!

Woke up yesterday to find a screw/washer combination stuck in my front tire. I drove over to Bay and ET had a ton of cars to get to but he removed the hardware and plugged my tire. I was in and out in 10 min. Every time I go there, everyone is helpful and courteous and the work gets done right.

I had several issues with my 2011 Kia Sorento that needed to be addressed. One particular problem seemed to stomp several other places I visited for repairs. That is, I couldnt open either door on the drivers side with the outside latches. I contacted Bay and spoke with the service manager, Rob. His response...no problem. That set the ball rolling to fix every other problem. Rob is one of the nicest and most helpful men Ive encountered in this industry. His crew got my auto in the best shape its been since I purchased it. And I got it back in the time promised. I will definitely be returning. Very happy.

Went to test drive a mini van and car. The car was not clean despite the dealership knowing we were coming. The van was a good price but a little over our budget. We wanted the chance to talk over whether we wanted a car at a lower price or the van, but the sales man refused to leave and let us talk privately. My wife eventually got fed up with the sales tactics and we left and bought a car from Freedom Ford instead.

I took my car in because of a misfire issue. After paying over $100 in diagnosis fees and keeping the car all day they told be a B.S. reason for the issue. I would prefer if the mechanic would be honest with me and said. I dont know what is wrong with your car.

This is the worst place Ive ever had my car fixed. And i went through my insurance company with a claim. At 1st it was you will have your car from 3-4 days. Then when I show up the day off after I turned in my rental car, oh your car isnt and wont be ready today cause we found some more damages. When was someone going to call and inform me??? So when will it be done, cause you have had my car since Monday and its Thursday. Then I was told it will be done by Wednesday. Ok. So I get another rental until till then, to be told oh we are just waiting on 2 parts and when we get them we will call you. Huh??? 2 more days has past and still no parts, no call, no update and no car. And all anyone can say is Im sorry. Youve had my car for 11 days now!!!
