This trip is all thanks to these guys at Sunrise Cycles! They let us truck our bikes to their shop to offload and service some critical items on our bikes before a long TAT ride! Great people and an awesome store. We all ended up picking up merchandise and parts as well.- And not to mention all of this on pretty short notice. Genuinely great people, 10/10 service!Roy, Dan, Blake, Carlos, and Ronnie say thank you!
I brought my bike here because of the reviews. The first time was to reseal my tire. I had to call after a week to see if it was ready and it had been. When I went in the guy at the front notified me that he also had to fix the back tire and said he called and left a voicemail. I never delete my calls or voicemails I never received anything. I had the bike for weeks and never had issues with the back tire they had it for two days and all of a sudden it was flat. I let it go. I then after a week had to bring my Motorcycle back because the front tire was flat again. They fixed it no charge. Just recently I brought my bike to get my saddle bags installed, that they did a beautiful job. I did ask for an oil change initially but called immediately after i dropped it off to cancel it. They Said they didnt get the message, so no communication, and that they did it but only charged me for the labor, which i dont think they shouldve because i didnt ask for it but i paid. I had taken photos of the bike when I dropped it. I looked at the filter on the photos and my bike when i got it it wasnt even changed. It still had the dust on the filter from when i dropped it off. I do not trust this place and feel they have taken advantage of my kindness every-time I come in I will. not be coming back. That much dust would NOT be on a filter changed not even a day ago.
I will not be bringing my bike here Percission Motorcyle is the way to go. Usually never had a problem with place until now. Brought my bike for fork seals and raditiator replacement. They a month just to look at my bike give an estimate and another moth just get everything done. But thats not why im mad they gave me the run around told me my battery was dead no point of return for it. They refused charge it and put it back in the bike told me for the longest time that lost my battery they day i show i guess they found it. I got took my old battery home tested it at autozone it tested good then tested it at harley also tested good since i had to Cycle World because i didnt them trust any more with my bike between all the lies and tracking down my parts. I picked up my bike took it home on the way home melt burning i pulled over check the bike out seen my radiator guard shield laying on my header burning away didnt want to call a tow and 5 mins away from home so i pushed my bike there. I contacted them about the whole situation and how unsatisfactory my visit was even sent pics but nothing they claim they cant get ahold of me every time.
I want to give a big shutout to Aaron and the team. They are definitely understanding, quick and easy to work with. Im definitely coming back again for your service. The best motorcycle dealer on the East Coast hands down!
Honestly, this might be the best dealership in the entire country. Our entire experience was incredible and they treated us like we are family. Duck, Aaron & Gary worked with us to surprise our boys with their new dirt bikes and gave them one of the best days of their lives. Gloria and the parts/service team gave them the royal treatment with gear and walking through everything they needed to know as first time riders. This is a family business that is passionate about what they do and at the end of the the day this is where you want to go. Period. Thank you sunrise family for everything!
Visited Sunrise Cycles yesturday to look at a bike I was interested in. An employee told me the price and I said they were going for 1k cheaper at other nearby dealers. That employees response was sounds like you need to go to them and let me walk so I did. In a way Id like to say thank you in a way for the opportunity of finding a much better price and more friendly staff elsewhere.
Great service!!!We’re starting the TAT (Trans America Trail) right at this place!!!Gloria treated us as family!!!Excellent service by Buck and his Team!!!Awesome experience…We totally recommend this motorcycle place!!!
Imagine coming into a shop to get your precious motorcycles tires changed at 10am, 6 hours pass, and your motorcycle is not done yet, so you have to physically find someone to ask them whats going on, only to find out the mechanic broke your motorcycles fairings in half so hes been trying to superglue it back together the whole time with out telling anyone. and so they tell you that they ordered you another part to replace it, only to have a week passed, no phone call, no nothing. and when you finally call them they act like they have no recollection of it and say ill call you backNEVER received any calls
Aaron and the guys at Sunrise are top notch. They are friendly and very knowledgeable in what they sell; and they also have an awesome showroom! I know whenever I have to take my ski in for service it will be taken care of! Wouldn’t go anywhere else! Go check them out!
Walked in where there are at least 8 different employees not wearing masks (this was months ago before the mask mandate was lifted) and to have an employee approach because you are there to buy a bike (possibly) only to have to ask him to put on a mask before he approaches you. Then to have him give you attitude and be on his phone the entire time. Then I sit on a bike I like, and ask to test drive. He says, our insurance doesnt cover test drives. I walked out right then and there. Dont buy a bike (or any vehicle) without test driving it first. If this is your first bike and you are inexperienced, bring an experienced rider with you. NEVER buy a bike without a test ride.
Beware of getting your bike serviced here. Asked to get one tire sealed, and they took it upon themselves to do both tires without notification. Second service asked them NOT to do an oil change but they did anyway. Very poor communication and will charge people for services not asked for or not completed. I have lost trust in this business and will not go a third time.
Got my bike fixed here after I had an when it was completed the first time. But everything is fine now my bike is running smoothly. Be careful I got criticize from the guy from front counter and the other guy next to him agreeing about my review. He gates the fact I gave 3 stars and told the truth about my bike.
Went in to get my bike service and Brandon in service was amazing he patiently help me get everything I needed for my bike plus took his time explaining the difference in parts and asked how I like to ride to get me the right parts. I highly recommend coming here for any work needed or if you have questions to ask... Thanks again Brandon G.
Duck was very patient with me and helped me find the Triumph that was right for me, service department is exceptional, I attempted to change my grips on my own, silly me, wound up riding to the shop with no grips and no appointment. Service department was really busy but it didnt matter, they stopped whatever it was and assisted with my urgent issue, they got it! Took us a few minutes to get it back to where it was but they made it right before I left the shop, thats service 101 and it was very much appreciated. Thanks
Love these guys! Have taken my Scrambler here for service and custom work. Theyre always very helpful
Great service. Friendly staff.
Awesome place, great people and great service. Bunch of nice bikes and cool gear. Got some great prices and some big prices, LoL.Seriously, a great place to check out if ur looking.Yeah Baby
OMG, BEST SHOP they really help me find what I was looking for and the price range I wanted to spend. I’m a 1st time Rider shopping for a Beginner. I was so scared of shopping for a bike by myself because I didn’t want to over PAY. I check out, Honda of Norfolk, Cycle World they didn’t have anything $5000 walked out the door prices. Harley Davison in Portsmouth tried to sell me 07 Gexrs 25000 miles for 6200, walking out the door price. Sunrise was going to be my last stop, my budget was $5000 for my beginner bike. Dave, who help me look for the perfect bike for my budget . Dave Had 4 bikes for me to choose from that was in my budget,I Bought a 2020 yamaha R3 its a 320cc, including Helmet & Jacket to match my bike $5200. I’m glad I took my time purchasing my 1st beginner bike, it was well worth it. I will be back to trade in my R3 in 2021 for a Intermediate Motorcycle 🤩
I wouldnt trust my motorcycle in the hands of any shop besides Sunrise. At its roots it is a family business. The whole team rides & they understand the gravity of what they do. Their service department always comes through at a fair rate and excellent standard of service & friendliness. They will bend over backwards for their customers answering any questions, explaining not only what you may need done but why. Its easy to see the results for yourself. #sunriselifer
Fantastic service. Knowledgeable staff. Mr. Eldrege connected the dots for the sale, and made me feel welcome. Highly reccomended for years, glad I finally switched to this dealer.
Service department is very nice and goes the extra to be accommodating. Sales is acceptable.
Fantastic crew here. No nonsense, no pressure. Service team is great and theres a decent gear selection, too. Bought a bike here and traded in my old one. If you go to buy a bike, ask for Duck. Great guy who will take care of you.
New to motorcycles and the whole staff at Sunrise was excellent. Gloria and Zach helped me get the right gear and I cant wait to get on my new Triumph.
Sunrise Cycles certainly won over my enthusiastic endorsement. This is a place where you can go and get spectacular service, great deals ( I know I got one), and a great selection of bikes and gear. Maybe most importantly this place is chill, no sales people pushing you to do anything, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. I picked up a Z900RS from here just last week, walked away with a phenomenal motorcycle, and a great deal(recurring theme much?). I love that the bike I bought had never been started, and was delivered to me with 0(ZERO) miles on the odometer, what an awesome policy and deep respect for their future buyers. Sunrise has left a lasting positive impression on me. Please consider letting them help you make your dreams a reality....thank me later ;)Personal thanks go out to:Dave, Duck, Aaron and GaryAnd the rest of the team there making this place what it is.
Went in after going to several other big dealers, I was shopping for my first bike as Im new to riding other places were trying to put me in stuff way beyond my skill. Then I met Duck! Just telling him what I was looking for and my comfort level he didnt hesitate and started showing me exactly what would fit my skill and comfort. Went thinking I would get some used bike, but couldnt pass up the great deal they had on my new Suzuki! Once Im ready for that bigger bike Ill be back!
Great place to look at and buy a motorcycle!Head mechanic knows his stuff better than anyone else in the area!
Salesman Rob was the most awesome caring dude for my grandson we had an awesome experience and will be back again jack says thank you mr. Rob
My buying experince was FIVE STARS. They gave me an excellent price on my new 2019 Vulcan Voyager. No complaints, all compliments on the sales department. Now, the service department is another story and will likely be the reason why my next bike will not be from Sunrise. I am the type of customer that relies on the support from my purchase dealer throught the life of their motorcycle, whether it be warranty work, tire replacement, oil change, or a simple state inspection, I expect I can easily use my dealer for all of my bikes needs. Sadly, I cannot rely on Surnise for this, quite frankly, this is frustrating.I dont care that the service guys are not overly friendly or helpful, in 2021 there is no point in expecting that any more. Im not even mad about how it took two months for them to replace a rear shock covered under Kawasaki warranty. My biggest complaint is how you cannot talk to one service employee to get things done. I called to get a quote on a basic tire replacement and oh my, talk about throwing a wrench into the cogs of operations there. I had to talk to one person about getting the work done and the service cost, another person about the tire price, another person to see if they were in stock, absolutely exhausting, after multiple transfers I finally said forget it. Unless managment just simply doesnt care, this problem could be fixed, until then I am forced to go elsewhere.
First the service was excellent. However I filled out there online application for financing and about 45min later I recieved a notification my credit had been run for a mortgage and since then I have received multiple emails related to home buying investing currently will update
This by no means is my first motorcycle purchase, not even my first from Sunrise. My first purchase from Sunrise was over 14 years ago but had been my last until a couple weeks ago. I stopped by Sunrise a little over a week before to look at a 2018 Z900RS that I had seen in the window the day before when they were closed. Ironically the bike which had been there for 2 years sold just hours before my arrival. I was bummed to say the least but Duck the salesperson and I spoke about what I was looking for in a bike and he asked if I had ever considered a Triumph. I had owned over 20 bikes but never a Triumph. Sunrise has a great Triumph showroom and Duck went over several models and showed me his personal Triumph, he is very passionate about motorcycles. He gave me his card and I felt no pressure to buy, zero pressure. I texted Duck a couple days later about different models and pricing. Immediately he gave me the numbers for each as well as for a bike not in stock. We communicated a few days later and I decided on a bike in stock. The following day I brought a bank check in and everything was completed in less than an hour. There were no surprises, a very smooth transaction. I had just had surgery and Duck went out of his way to accommodate some special requests, even offering to deliver the bike on his way home from work after hours. Customer service from Duck was great before, during, and after the sale. I cannot recommend him enough! It has been a great experience.
I really hate to post this, but it was the good reviews that brought me here in the first place. My 2011 Triumph Sprint GT needed a 36,000 mile service, which includes valve adjustment. Major, very expensive service.I called on a Monday morning and asked about scheduling the service and was told to bring it in the sooner, the better.I brought it in that evening and was told it would be ready by the end of the week. When I called on Thursday, I was told they hadnt received all of the parts. Im not sure why they told me the end of the week. I would have happily brought it in the following week once the parts were in stock. That mix up cost me $40 in Uber rides.I brought the bike back the following Monday and dropped it off. They called me Wednesday and said it was ready. Another $20 Uber ride to the shop. Got there at 12:30, paid the bill, got in the bike and saw I had no gas gauge. It normally takes about 1/2 mile to register, but not this time.I figured maybe the mechanic forgot to connect something, so I brought it back. They messed around with it for another hour (now 2pm). Mechanic tells me the sensor is probably bad. I tell him it was working fine when it came in. He then tells me you cant predict when these things will go bad. I almost asked him if he could predict when Id allow him to work on my bike again. One of the guys offered to drive me back to work, which was excellent customer service!I come back that afternoon (another $20 to Uber) and am told I just didnt ride it far enough for the gauge to register. He said it needs 5 miles. Ive put 35,000 miles on THIS bike, and have been riding Triumphs for nearly 30 years. NEVER had to go more than 1/2 mile. I figured fine, whatever. It works now and Im not coming back anyway.Friday afternoon, I go out to look the bike over prior to a ride on Sat. Something about the gas tank looked strange. When I put my hand in it, IT WAS LOOSE!! I couldnt *&$#+?! believe that after ALL of that time, he didnt even install the tank correctly! I pulled the seat and checked. It was bolted down at the rear, but it wasnt seated properly at the front. (See picture). The shop admitted he didnt test ride the bike after he worked on it. I dont buy the excuse that it needed to go five miles to get the gas gauge to register. And then the tank was not reinstalled correctly. NOW Im left wondering what else did he screw up that I DONT know about? If I had the extra $1000, Id take it to another shop and have the service redone. As it is, I guess Ill just have to hope things are ok and the engine wont grenade itself
I would absolutely recommend this shop to any new rider. The employees are not pushy at all, and answer any and all questions they can. Duck helped me with my purchase, but the couple times I went in before I finally bought they were all extremely helpful. They are way more transparent than any dealership I’ve ever been to. They have very competitive financing rates as well. Definitely go check them out.
Great inventory, and they have a really good service department. They are super busy for a reason!
Friendly people. Honest service.Took my wheels in to have new bearings pressed in and tires mounted.I was afraid Id get shafted on the labor but came out way cheaper than I was bracing for.The job was done right too.Its worth mentioning again how great the people in the service department are.Ill definitely be back if I need something.
Robb was great, service was friendly and I trust this place with all my future business
The GM was very fair and personable with me. They said they can get me financed at a certain rate and they followed through. The parts department is one of the best Ive ever been to. Theyre not condescending and then answer questions neutrally and with no brand loyalists. This is the reason they know the industry and are the best bike shop in Virginia. I feel welcomed and personally known( I was not the best customer). I feel like it is not a corporate store more like a mom and pop store operating with the same professionalism.. I know service very little but I can tell you the little bit that I do know, true passionate technicians. I just bought a brand new year 2016 GSXR 750. Chris was my sales person. He did not apply pressure, he just knew the products.
Very friendly. Knowledgeable. Nice selection. Will come back!!
They were very polite very helpful very thoughtful made me feel like I was apart of their family the greatest time I ever had Spending money. I dont even know how to ride so they even rode the bike home in the rain for me. Amazing right. Here another star⭐ so make this a six star Rating Thanks Dave
I bought a motorcycle from here about a month ago now, and returned to have my bike serviced for its 600 mile inspection a few days ago. Roy was the dealer that haggled with me to close a deal on a bike, and his humor made the whole process a blast. In the end I received a great deal on a bike I would have gotten regardless! On the accessory side, John is very knowledgeable and pointed me to, and installed a RAM mount for me onto the motorcycle I purchased. He didn’t charge me for the install, and all the while we talked about the bikes eventual power range, how I should baby the engine in order to break it in properly, etc. He had experience on the model bike I purchased and seemed genuinely interested in simply talking about the in’s and out’s. When I returned for my inspection, I found that Stephanie was very helpful, the service department kept the bike a day longer than scheduled, but their attitude, and service made me feel it was done to better improve the final product of their work...and man the bikes slick now, must be the synthetic oil! All in all I recommend the place to anyone in the market for a motorcycle and in the area.
I just bought a bike at a fair price. But the experience was worth it. They made me feel very appreciated, they took there time and didnt force sale me either. Dave even rode my bike home because of the rain and windy conditions. The first time I have bought something and felt this good about it.
Polite salesman. I was there with my friend whom bought motorcycle. He answered all questions was informative. Explained everything throughout the process.
I want to start by saying that I was extremely excited about purchasing another motorcycle. I chose Sunrise Cycle because of the great reviews and the promise of their advertisement for individuals who’ve had credit issues in the past. Now I know what you might be thinking by reading this- dude you didn’t get approved let it go! But that’s only half true. I was approved for 10k but because the bike that I wanted was 7k and I quote, “ we wouldn’t make money off that bike.” I was told that they refuse to sale me the bike that I requested which was only 7k. I was transferred to the manager Aaron-which I will add nice guy- repeated the same thing, that even though I was approved for 10k I wouldn’t be able to finance the bike requested for $3,000 cheaper. Is it just me or does anyone else see an issue with that🤔
I want to say thank you to the guys in the service department for taking care of my bike yesterday. I appreciate you getting me back on the road! I can always depend on Sunrise to provide honest and quality service. I appreciate you for communicating with me through the process of fixing my 750....😊
These guys have been great to work with- Dave and Josh specifically. They treat the customer like a priority, unlike many dealerships/shops. An added bonus— their in-depth knowledge of Triumph motorcycles made the deep dive on my 2014 Thruxton rebuild a breeze. Can’t recommend dealing with these guys enough!
In my search of a left over new KLR 650 which were discontinued 2 years ago, I found one at a discounted price at Sunrise. Spoke with Duck on a Tuesday explaining I couldnt get there till Saturday as I was driving 500+ miles from New England, no deposit & no problem. Arrived on Saturday by the time I had a coffee and stretched my legs in the lounge the paperwork was ready and bike was ready to be loaded into my truck.. Shout out to Tim the bike didnt move an inch all the way home nice job man! Couldnt ask for a better experience bike was perfect showing not even a tenth of a mile and Duck is one of the most straightforward no B.S. guys Ive ever dealt with, not surprising from a 20 year military veteran, thanks for your service Duck!
Sunrise Cycles is the absolute best. I was welcomed with excellent customer service by Duck, as well as care and knowledge for all the bikes. If youre looking for a bike, this is the place to go. And ask for Duck! Duck is the man and he helped me out lots. Thanks Duck and Sunrise Cycles!
SLOW on the parts but service was great
Im from phx az in va for my son. Was looking for A FJR 1300 ES But not in stock.
I havent delt with the sells department all though the bit of interaction I had with them, they seem to be friendly, bit I delt with loagn and Mr. Buck, really awesome guys, smart as hell too...
I wanted another motorcycle, this place has those, now I have four motorcycles. If you need eggs dont go here, if however you need a motorcycle this would be the best place to get one. Talk to Duck hes the best salesman ever, dont kiss Duck for doing you a solid because he punches hard.
I went in to look a couple of times before I picked the bike I wanted. Duck was very helpful and informative while I was looking. He was also very courteous and did not usher me along like a lot of salespeople do. He was and still is in contact with me to make sure everything has been good. The buying process was very quick and easy. The parts team was also very helpful getting the right size gear with me. If Im in the area to pick up another bike, this is where Ill go for sure!
Staff provides excellent service all around from sales, to front desk to the shop. Very knowledgeable and friendly and a great place for anything motorcycle related
The sevice department is experiencing some set backs that I am not accustomed to. They are doing their best, but I will be patient on them getting my clutch fixed right this time.
I absolutely recommend you checkout Sunrise Cycles for your next motorcycle /Triumph purchase. I was shopping around for a 2020 Triumph Speed Twin and they gave me such a good experience and deal that I drove 3 hours to buy my bike there. They walked me through the best offers / promotions, made the paperwork a breeze (even out of state plate and tax!), and handled the tradeoff with professionalism and enthusiasm. The staff was a lot of fun to chat with, super knowledgable and passionate about the bike I was buying. Shoutout to Duck and crew for all their help, they made literally everything painless and effortless. They even gave me a t-shirt, soda, Triumph backpack and put the bike in my truck! Seriously, I had a lot of fun visiting and buying. Consider your next purchase here and stop by beach before you head home.
Duck was by far not only the most helpful but happiest dealer i have ever met.
So first, I must refer to the vicious shop poodle from a prior review. This dog was CRUEL! it dared look at me when I walked past. I mean, I didnt even notice it until its dog tag jingled, but I digress. Then, to make matters worse, this dog approached me! It demanded to be petted with its demeanor, I was helpless in its gaze. Then, dare I say, the worse thing happened. She performed tricks like, sit, lay down, and spin! Its ability to manipulate me was astounding, I was in awe of its master plan of getting a treat from me. Unfortunately I couldnt resist this evil dogs temptations and caved. After a short period of time she retreated back to her spot on her bench and left people alone until she found her next prey to viciously assault with its cute demeanor and parlor tricks.Other than that I came in with the Idea I wanted to walk out with a bike. I had no idea what I wanted other than some basics (Engine size, I have back problems, etc). Dave took me around the show room and as I went through my Goldilocks routine of finding the one just right, he took me to one that had a perfect sitting posture for me. The team worked their magic and showed me all the options on bikes just like it and I settled on on, I was out the door in a few hours. Great conversations, great team, will definitely come back.Give 2 extra stars for the dog to counter miss 3 stars phobia of a sociable dog thats well trained and best of all, QUITE until I got her started intentionally on talking.
Bought my first new bike from Duck and had an excellent experience. There isnt a more trustworth place to buy motorcycles that I know of and I did a lot of shopping around before Sunrise helped me feel comfortable enough to buy. I had one slight issue that they were quick to remedy. 100%would recommend to anyone looking to buy bikes in the area.
Brought in an 07 GSXR 600 for a small oil drip at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. I passed back in front of the shop on my way home around 8 o’clock the shop was closed and my bike was left sitting outside near the front door. All of the other bikes had been brought into the warehouse. (their website states that your vehicle, excluding pwc will be stored in their warehouse) Got my spare key and brought the bike home. Went in the next morning to pick up the keys and they didn’t even know that the bike was gone. I bought a motorcycle here and had maintenance done a few times but I will never go back here for sales or service.
I went to Sunrise Cycle in Norfolk, VA with an idea of what I wanted and who I wanted to work with. I found and find Mr. Roy Ford to be the perfect salesman in the perfect environment all while at the perfect dealer. I have been a fan of Sunrise Cycle for many years and I can honestly say that a big part of my excitement to want to visit is to interact with Mr. Roy. He always have made my visits pleasurable and more than entertaining. So being a repeat customer, I was sure to deal with Mr. Roy knowing that the experience would but nothing but the best possible. He shows the real Roy and that says enough. I have felt a sense of comfort from the staff at Sunrise and Mr. Roy has been the biggest supporter of me and my needs and concerns from day one. In conversation, we have found that we even share a common generation connection by my dad and Mr. Roy worked together many years ago. How do I know this? Well Mr. Roy is real and we can talk beyond just the business. I can see how a person can really get the best service at Sunrise Cycle because of people like Mr. Roy Ford. Here is what I know…He cares about you before you meet him. He cares about you while you are there (working with him or not). Best of all, he cares about you after you have left the shop. It can only go on record as my opinion but I am 100% pro Roy Ford of Sunrise Cycle and will be a loyal customer because of him.
This has been the best buying experience I have ever had. Duck was my salesman and made the whole process easy and comfortable. This is my first real motorcycle, I purchased the Ninja 400 abs and Duck as well as the parts department were really patient and helpful in getting me set up with everything I needed and wanted. The whole store was very encouraging and made me feel confident they really gave a feel good experience that the automotive industry as a whole could only dream of providing. This place is the Chick Fil a of motorcycle Shops. I will go here for everything and anything I may ever need in the future! 10/10 would recommend to everyone!
Shout out to dirt bike Dave just hooked me up with a brand new 2020 Triumph Street Triple in love with this bike 🤩🤩
I bought a bike today with Sunrise Cycles.. i went through DAVE and let me tell you! This guy will make you want to buy a bike everyday! The transaction went super smooth and without a hiccup. He went out of his way multiple times for me, I have never had such a ENJOYABLE experience at a dealership.
Bought a new bike here. Never felt pressured. They gave me a few options with the amount I told them I wanted to spend. The salesman, Duck, has called me since my purchase just to check up. If I buy anymore bikes it will probably be from Sunrise.
Great experience, had an amazing time throughout the process and the whole staff was exceptionally welcoming. Dave especially went out of his way to provide the best service possible. Great time and great staff, thanks again Dave!
Customer service was fantastic and no pressure sales experience. Staff is very knowledgable and hands on with the customers. Thank you
I bought my first bike at Sunrise Cycles and I wasnt disappointed. I had the best salesman, Roy Ford. He wasnt pushing or pressuring me to buy anything. He was super friendly and hilarious. One thing that really stood out about Sunrise Cycles and Roy himself, is he called me the following night to make sure I made it home safe and to see how I liked the bike so far. This behavior not only helped me feel better but really showed the credibility for Sunrise Cycles and its employees. Roy is an amazing guy and I will definitely be buying my following bikes from here!
I will give them a 3 for the dog that growls at you even though it is on a leash, that is bad for return business, put the dog behind the counter and not with customers. Great talk with the service techs, good advice offered. Would have been a 2 star if not for the techs and info exchanged.
A great maintenance crew that takes the time to do things right and go into depth on any questions. They recently serviced my 2018 Thruxton R (tires, oil, and a warranty claim) and the work was quick and spot on. My go-to Triumph garage.
I had been shopping for awhile and found myself bright and early one morning at Sunrise. I purchased my first bike from them and had a great experience doing it! Roy Ford is an absolute delight. There is a great selection of bikes and I never felt pushed to make a purchase. I have since brought my bike back for the 600 mile service and even that was hassle free amd quick. While waiting, I enjoyed myself chatting with John in parts. Its a great place with good people! Will definitely be back soon.
First time financing a motorcycle and this place was just great. Had awesome time working with my schedule and salary. Dave was really smooth with the whole process and got me the bike I wanted and all I needed in a short time frame. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a motorcycle.
Brought my second bike from Mr. Roy from the Sunrise Team and he was very accepting on the low ball offer I requested. Got a new Vulcan 900 LT for the low price of 5K. They even threw in a 100 dollar helmet for the wife. With almost 2k off the sticker price, I feel we did good. I would say, if you are going to buy a motorcycle, do it at the beginning of winter, that is normally when I buy, due to the low buying of motorcycles around that time of year, the deals are just better.I am still a new rider, have a Ninja 300 (had for three years 15 thousand miles) and now a new cruiser. I would say, I love the cruiser life style, especially around here in inner city Norfolk. Just easy living (the cruiser)! I plan on buying my next bike, a here at Sunrise, probably go straight old man style and get a 1700 Victory (Tour), and I hope Mr. Roy get the sale just I can come again low like a F18!Thanks Mr. Roy, from the Sanders Family, thank you for your service!V/r,Sanders
Roy Ford. Jr. was the greatest salesman!!! He offered to take my info over the phone and got me APPROVED asap AND he didnt have a problem doing a little extra paperwork just so I could finally get my own motorcycle!!! Hes an awesome guy and knows his stuff about motorcycles. Im from Northern VA and drove down to Norfolk - the drive was well worth it! Im finally riding - Thanks to my favorite salesman ROY!!! :-) Ill recommend him to all of my friends and family.
First time buying a motorcycle and WOW, let me just say Wow! Duck was my sales rep I know Unique name but he knows his stuff and gave me tip top service. Cant recommend the Team at Sunrise enough. Gary was nice as well. Its a shame I cant give more than 5 stars.
Bought my bike yesterday from Roy Ford, at sunrise. it was one of the best experiences I could have had buying a bike. I tried to call other bike shops (cycle world)to get some information on the bikes, and it seemed that they were all too busy to talk on the phone or really didnt want to talk to me because I was a new Rider. Roy took the time to explain everything to me about the bike, and what to expect when riding. Every employee at sunrise cycle were very nice people and love to help you find out the right accessories for that would work best for you. When I buy my next back Ill definitely be going back to Sunrise cycle they have me for life.
Let me start off by saying I do not normally do reviews but this shop has to be the worst one I have ever gone to. A dealership that overcharges for everything more than normal, has like no parts in stock and takes over a week to get anything in when ordered. When asked about standard replacement parts no one knows anything unless they look it up. I refuse to go back!!!! This is extremely sad because I bought my brand new bike from same dealer name which carries almost everything and is willing to overnight me parts to my house.
Just bought a 2017 FZ-07 from these guys. The whole experience was great. Price was good and the speed of processing paperwork was excellent. Duck was awesome and I plan on purchasing from these guys again in the future. Highly recommended. If you go...ask for Duck!
I went out today to get a pair of heated gloves for the winter riding season. Sunrise was my second stop and Im glad I didnt buy at the first shop I went to. When I went into Sunrise, I found that Joe Rocket (a name I know and trust) makes heated gloves. I was allowed to take my time trying on 3 different pairs of gloves to make sure I had the ones that fit best, the saleswoman was super nice, relaxed and welcoming.Ive been riding motorcycles and buying parts and gear for 20+ years. Rarely have I felt as comfortable as I did today. Ill definitely pass up the other place(s) in the future and make Sunrise my first stop to shop.
They immediately greeted me check on the needs of my bike and assure me that my bike was in good hands I recommend everyone that has a motorbike to come check them out
This place was awsome. Dave was the sales guy I worked with and he made it all so easy. But then again I wasnt a tough sale. I went in told him what I was looking for and what I had in mind and he made it happen in just an hour or two. With the exception of the mix up on the the bikes delivery day everyone there was awsome. No pushy salesmen just trying to move bikes or trying to sell me something I didnt want or need. I would definitely shop there again. Great running business and really down to earth people. Thanks for the positive experience.
This place is awesome! Was the only place that would finance me (dont have a long work history), opened their doors on a Sunday so I could sign the paperwork since I lived in Raleigh and worked Monday-Saturday. 2 months later when I came back to trade in for something bigger they paid off my previous bike and did all the paperwork when they delivered the bike to me! Very cooperative and responsive staff. Duck was great!
My best friend has been looking for a good place to buy a bike and Im so glad we stopped by here!! Roy Ford had a talk with him and after figuring out just what exactly my buddy was looking for, they were able to find the perfect fit for him! The bikes gorgeous and Roy is a damn good man! Friendly, personal, and will help you get the right gear that fits your bike!Great staff, all of them! Plus the prices are just so awesome! Great place! Love it!!
Brought my recently purchased Frankenstein Kawasaki to them to see if it would ever run, or be worth putting money into. They had the motorcycle running after about a week and a half of going through all the surprises involved. Great customer service, Great repairs and Fair Prices.
Roy Ford was my sale person and he was freaking awesome. He has a great personality not pushy and got me a great deal on my BMW S1000RR. I really felt like he was on my side and not a sales person. I had an awesome experience at Sunrise. I freaking love this place great people great service treats people like friends. Now on Im only going to purchase all my motor sports from them. Keep up the great job and Ill see yall soon.
Staff is great to work with and have a very friendly and helpful attitude every time I go. I have bought bikes, parts, gear and more from here and is my #1 spot for motorcycle anything. I recommend speaking to Duck if you want to purchase a bike. Super layed back and will get you what you need.
This place is the best! I was looking to buy a bike when I started talking to one of the salesmen named Trevor. He made it a very relaxed environment to look at and pick out a bike. Never once did he try to pressure me into a bike that I did not want and when there was a problem or a question he would handle it immediately to make the process as easy as can be. I highly recommend that if youre looking into getting a bike you go here and ask for Trevor.
Super pleased with my first motorcycle purchase! The salesman Duck was upfront and honest showed me a tour of the parts department introduced me to the sales manager Aaron. All I can say is one of a kind full service dealership. They will always have my business.
WOW! I cannot say enough about Sunrise cycles, these folks are true professionals at what they do. Roy Ford was the gentlemen I dealt with, and my experience was nothing short of excellence. Great staff all around at Sunrise no matter what you stop in for. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in motorcycles, or if you are in the need of service or upgrades!
Ask for Roy Ford! Hands down best experience Ive had buying anything. Very personal and friendly environment, no pressure at all. Went to another dealership before I went here and it was night and day. Glad I stopped in. Highly recommend! Everyone seemed to enjoy working there and helping out. Ask for Roy, he will not disappoint.
Trevor was helpful in answering my questions about the R1 that I purchased. Went to bat for me to make sure I got the best deal. Roy was helpful with the paperwork and making me feel that Id be taken care of if I ever need anything. Roy even went the extra mile and hooked a friend of mine and first time rider up with his first helmet because I purchased my bike there. Very friendly staff.
I bought a Vulcan from Roy back in October and I have nothing but the best to say about my experience, he made me and my family feel comfortable and excited the whole time. He came off as a geniune person and not as a salesman trying to make money. I recommend him to everyone that asks me about buying a bike.
Ive been riding for over 20 years, Ive never had a dealership that has provided such service. Buck was exceptional, the service was quick, reasonably priced, and great quality. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable and friendly.I was originally concerned that I might get second rate service because I bought the bike some place else, but I was treated as a first class citizen. Makes me wish I had bought my bike there too - just to support a team that clearly deserves it.Thanks - Ill be back soon for my next upgrade!
Great staff and willing to work with you on getting the bike you want. Dave helped me out alot and took care of everything to mak the process smooth. Definitely would recommend this place to anyon .
Now Im sure anyone reading this knows just how hard it can sometimes be to find a good and honest mechanic/service center, whether its for your car or motorcycle. Fortunately, I was able to find a place to work on my bike that has not only done excellent work but that also has been very honest and ONLY fixed what was broken, and also in a timely manner, instead of ripping me off and deceiving me by doing work that didnt need to be done just to make more money and taking way longer than needed in the process. Now Im not saying all, or even most, places that fix automobiles/motorcycles are that way, but unless you are trained yourself you just have to trust that you arent being taken for a ride, figuratively speaking of course. But theyve proven to me to be extremely honest and they know their stuff. So far, I have taken my baby to Sunrise a total of 4 times since I have owned it. I would gladly explain what transpired each of the 4 times I took my baby to them to have it fixed if this review section allowed me to, but unfortunately it would exceed my character limits. So I will just say that dealing with Sunrise has been a fantastic experience and I would most definitely highly recommend them because they have been very honest, fair, and reasonable with me, and are the epitome of how good and ethical business practices are supposed to be put into action. One final thing I absolutely cannot leave out! I wanted to make sure I included in this post so that Logan and Buck in the service department, in addition to Jerry Peak the mechanic who has worked on my bike, are all 3 recognized as they are excellent employees and honest men of good morale and integrity, hence the reason I go there and am writing this review! So in closing, GO TO THIS PLACE, THEY ARE TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST, AND DO VERY VERY GOOD WORK!!!
Just bought a ZX 14R from sunrise cycle! Mr. Roy was my sales man and my wife and I had a awesome experience! Mr. Roy was very informative and down to earth! I would highly recommend sunrise cycle to anyone in the Hampton roads area or abroad to stop by when in the market to buy! O, and they have the best prices on the east coast!!!
They have a HUGE selection of bikes and awesome customer service. As a part of a family business myself, I really appreciate that they care about their customers just like family. They are friendly and knowledgeable and while I have to cross the dreaded HRBT to get there, it is totally worth it.
