The repair that was done was good quality, however he does need to improve on communication with the customer. I would recommend if you use this business that if he can’t fix it while you wait, don’t leave your device there, just come back at a time when he can do it while you wait.

DO NOT GO HERE! I wish I could give negative stars. The police told me they have to deal with this guy on a monthly basis, Brandon is refusing to return my iPad, and Ive had to call the police to try and get it back. Hes very unprofessional, and will not give you your device back when promised or never give it back to you in my case. I have very nicely asked for the return of my property, regardless of whether its finished or not. He has refused to return my property. Many of his customers have had to call the police on him. When I called the police, they knew exactly who I was talking about, and said they have dealt with him many times, and they dont understand how hes still in business. He is rarely at the store, making it impossible for you to confront him, get a hold of him or get your device back. He also pays customers $20 for 5star reviewsPlease dont make the same mistake by trusting him as I have!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!There are a million of great repair shops all around, and many of them are mobile that come to you (and are cheaper!). Here is why you should opt for one of those other options-I dropped my S6 edge off for a simple battery replacement at 12pm. I got a pickup time at 2:15. I arrived at 2:15, and the door was locked with note that they were away, and they had a number you could call (although they had my phone..). This is already kind of a red flag, when they give you a specific time to pick up your phone, and there is nobody there at the store.By the time they arrived at 2:45 (after me waiting for half an hour outside), they told me they need an additional 15 minutes (this is when they started to actually work on my phone). After 20 minutes of waiting at the store (along with 2 other people who had very similar stories as me), they told me that my phone is being difficult and they didnt know when it will be done, and to come back later.I call them at 4PM, and they said they can probably fix my phone, but they would probably need to crack the back (at an additional cost.....). I just said i want my phone back, and go to pick it up.Now here is the kicker-- I expressed how unhappy I was with the runaround I got, and the guy i was dealing with (he identified himself as the owner) told me that he waived the diagnostic fee for me (first time I ever heard anything about a diagnostic fee...), and that if I was not happy, then I would have to pay the diagnostic fee. I asked him several times to please just give me my phone back so I can leave, and he would not-- threatening to charge me a diagnostic fee or to tell him that I was happy with his service. I didnt want to get the police involved because he was piratically holding my phone hostage, so I told him I was happy to get my phone back.If youre the owner and you are reading this-- We both know you lied to me several times throughout the transaction. This holding peoples property hostage until they say they are happy with your service does not seem like a genius thing to do.. It seems shady.

DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my Galaxy S5 to Android Genius in 2015 for repairs (it was bricked). They did not fix my phone, did not even get me a quote for fixing it. I had to call them continuously every few weeks to check on the status, every time they would put me on hold when I asked about it as if they had no idea what I was talking about. When I was finally put back off hold they would give me an estimate of a week or 2 to diagnose, which they always blew past without notifying me.Eventually I followed up and told them I would just take the phone back, fixed or not. They then told me that the phone was stolen from their office and there was nothing they could do about it. Frustrated, I was out of options and in the process of moving to another state for my job so I gave up.This phone was around $500 new, and I do not make the kind of money where I can afford to lose something like that. The time I wasted attempting to get my property back was unfortunate as well.

Brandon saved the day! He was able to replace my screen for my Samsung Galaxy s8+ while I was visiting the area on vacation. Said he would do in 1.5 hours and he did. Phone works great and no cracks now.

Brandon is the man! He was incredibly helpful and was able to fix my iPhone 7 screen in under 30 minutes. I was freaking out when my screen cracked but they walked me through everything and made sure that my phone was alright. If you crack your screen this is the place to bring it!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I came here to get my broken iPhone screen fixed. I got a quote for $80 which made me super happy. 9 days later i reached for my phone in my purse and it came out almost in two pieces. The screen came totally off. Ive never seen such thing so I immediately went back to the repair shop. The owner Brandon was arguing with me for the first 15 minutes how all this is my fault and what could i have possibly done so that the screen came completely off. He just wouldnt admit that the work he did was poor. I had to head back to work so I left my phone there to get if fixed again. He said they only give warranty on labor not the parts which i think is hilarious because obviously this is just a really bad job. Anyways, few hours later I came to pick up my phone. They charged me $90 this time because i bought an extra tempered glass to protect the new screen. I was not very happy but what could I do. Now the best part - its 5 days later and the screen is coming off again in 3 corners. I emailed them right away and he told me to stop by any day after 10am. I was standing in front of the shop today from 10am till 10.15am - the OPEN sign was on but the door was still locked and they wouldnt answer the phone. Good job guys, i really wonder how you stay in business doing such an awful job and argue with your customers. So far I spent $170 for nothing. Again, stay away from these people. They will just rip you off and you will end up going somewhere else to get your device fixed. Save your money, time and energy.

I cracked the glass on my Samsung Galaxy S5, so I called around to a few repair shops in the Newport/Costa Mesa/Irvine area, and fortunately found Android Genius. Not only where they close by, but they were the most reasonable, honest and efficient at repairing my phone. Vance and Chris were great, and I immediately got the sense that they knew what they were talking about, when it came to probability of success, the possibility of a more complicated repair and the most likely final bill. They took care of me right away, giving me a very accurate quote and estimated time of repair. My repair needed a little extra work and an additional part that needed to be delivered, but they handled it with minimal delay, and I still got my phone back in the same day. I was very happy with the outcome, and I highly recommend Android Genius.(Note: I saw the bad review posted below, but I did not experience anything like that, and Vance was extremely conscientious of his work and the quality of service)

Avoid this place if you value your time and money.I went there to repair a cracked phone screen this summer. There were worrying signs but I chose to ignore it - it did not look professional at all, there was another (very frustrated) customer waiting, the whole place smelled weed like crazy (which is not illegal, but not something you would expect at a business during work hours). I filled out the form and left the phone there. I asked if there was any warranty on the repair, and they said sure if something went I could bring it back and theyd take a look.Next day I picked it up at 6 pm right before they closed. The screen had to be replaced, the repair was $265.An hour later a thin pink pixel line at the very edge of the screen appeared.I went back the next day and showed them the issue - sure the crack was gone, but I had a different problem now.The person at the counter became very defensive telling me she stood by her work and that she couldnt be sure what Ive done to the screen between the time I picked the phone up and when I came back. She insisted I broke it again in less than 24 h ...When I asked about the warranty they mentioned the day before, I was told they DO NOT HAVE A WARRANTY ON PARTS. Had I heard it the moment I walked in the first time, Id never agree to the repair.Finally, I asked if they had a solution to propose, and their offer was to do another repair, meaning ANOTHER $265 WITHOUT any warranty.I said no and left.Next day I went to a different repair store, the real one this time. They took a look and said the screen was defective and was barely holding in place. I had to pay for another screen, (though it was $250, so, cheaper) the repair was done within an hour (instead of 2 days it took the first time), it was covered by a month long warranty and overall was a better experience.I wish I didnt ignore the warning signs and left Android Genius store the same moment I walked in there.

I would love to give a good review, but its difficult when you cant even get service. I called, was told I wouldnt need an appointment, just show up and it takes about an hour. Cool I thought. So I was surprised when I arrived during business hours only to find a ridiculously ambiguous sign on the door that said they were either working on a phone, picking up supplies, or will be back in 15 minutes. Super clear folks. But they did offer a padded envelope where you could drop your phone into the mail slot if you feel lucky and dont rely on this device as your only phone source. The lighted OPEN sign was lit in the front window so I called the number again and a guy answered but apparently wasnt near the store. He told me he could do thebrepair only if it was important and I had an appointment (!!!) Argh. Great business model.

I bought an iPhone 7 from Andriod Genius shop, manager told me the phone was unlock, just need a chip in and the iPhone will works, not so ... I call him back he say he need to charge me $105 to unlock my phone. The communications was bad and service was terrible manager denial. And have bad attitude..

They got my phone back to me in a very timely manner, and it was as good if not better than new. They also gave me a great price. Ill definitely come back here if anything happens to my phone again.

Dropped my phone and cracked my screen terribly. I was able to walk in and walk out with a new screen in less than 20 minutes. They were extremely friendly and even offered me a few options: a brand new screen for about $100 or to use a defected screen that had one dead pixel (not visible at all) for 70. Went with the latter and am a happy gal!

This place sucks. They told me one price when I dropped off my phone to get the screen repaired and I ended up paying 20 bucks more because the galaxy s5 uses different glue on the screen. Also when he handed me back my phone I turned my screen on and it started pressing all kinds of buttons on my screen without me touching the screen. He got it to stop temporarily some how but my touchscreen has never been the same since. Some times my screen wont react to my touch and I have to shut the screen off and turn it back on to get it to work. Furthermore, the next day I noticed there was a scratch or Crack under the screen, so I called them back, and the guy I spoke with started yelling at me, saying that they told me sometimes the LCD gets scratched when the glass is replaced, I couldnt believe his attitude towards me, so I just hung up, and just gave up on the place. Then two weeks later I pulled my phone out of my pocket to find that my screen cracked some how, just walking from my house to my car, I looked a little closer and it seems the new glass was not glued on correctly so there was space between the glass and the LCD which made it more vulnerabe. Lastly their shop smelled like Marijuana when I was in there. Very unprofessional and not family friendly, or friendly at all for that matter. Horrible customer service and production. I would have been better off keeping my phone the way it was before I brought it in there. I could have saved myself a headache and $120. So the 5 star review I originally posted, for the $10 discount, is off of here now

Was struggling to find a laptop charger that must not have made it in my luggage. Brand spanking new in town, I wasnt sure whee to go. The iPhone Genius saved the day and made sure I was all set for a sucessful visit.

This is the worst place to go to. Beware! They have no concept of time management and make false promises that they can fix your phone or whatever you have. I left my phone with them over a week ago and was assured that it would be fixed that same day or Monday at the latest. Monday came and went and they had yet another excuse why it wasnt done yet. Two days after I called and left a message and they refuse to call me back and let me know what is going on with my phone. However they have no problem reaching out to my friend who refered me. They told her my phone was not fixable but have yet to call me and tell me the same. Both of us will never go back.

Plus, if you tell him you will leave a bad review, he threatens to buy a website designed to slander you online. I went to a this location specifically because I was guaranteed same-day screen replacement for an added fee. I paid the fee, and was given a time at which I could expect the phone to be done. I had some difficulty reaching the owner, and once I got a hold of him he kept pushing the pick up time later and later until he said it was too late for him and he was going home... Without fixing my phone..I returned the next day during business hours to find the shop closed. Another customer was waiting outside, who had also been promised a same-day fix only to have it pushed back another day. We both called the phone numbers listed on the storefront and online without being able to get a hold of anyone. Much later in the day I was contacted by the owner and he gave me a pick up time. I show up at the scheduled time and they are in the middle of replacing the screen. I was not reimbursed my fee for a same-day fix.A month later the screen failed without any reason. I pulled it out of my pocket and the screen was not working. I used another phone to contact the store and they tell me they do not warranty their work

Brandon is our HERO! He did what the Apple store said was impossible...he was able to save ALL THE DATA on my iPhone. The tech at the Apple store said he was 1,000% certain that my phone had to be updated or restored and either way I would lose everything on my phone. But they were wrong. Thank God they were wrong! Brought phone in to shop to have them look at the rear camera on my SG3. Dust had gotten under the lens and the cleaning they recommended did not resolve the issue.Nice enough guy, but the fact they charged 20 dollars to clean the lens without problem resolution is a little curt. They were unwilling to put this cost or part of the cost towards the repair they recommended. I can clean the camera with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol too.Im sure for everything else they are a great resource, the 3 stars is simply for service.

Dont do it, they try hard but come up short. didnt have stocked parts, no follow up and the workdidnt work. I had to go back numerous times and they still havent followed up to fix the last issue.Nice guys just not good businessmen,

I was in a pickle, I dropped my phone on its back and my 4s screen went black. The man in front of me had a more complicated situation with his galaxy, so the technician at the front went to the back to talk to another technician . While the technician was on the phone with another employee who he thought would be able to fix the customers phone; the other technician just sat there doing nothing. I did not have much time to drop off my phone, I had to get to class and go directly to work after. I waited a while then when it seemed the technician was going to be long on the phone with the other employee,I went up to the technician in the back who was not doing anything and quietly said (because the other was on the phone), Hey sorry I do not mean to be rude, but I am in a time crunch and need to get to class. I dropped my iphone 4s.. Then I was interrupted by the employee on the phone to go wait.I walked straight out the door, I had one of the most common quickest easiest repairs and all I needed was one minute to tell them and drop off the phone. The technician should have asked the other one doing nothing to help service me while he was on the phone because he did not know what to do to fix the other customers phone and he needed time to figure out the customers situation. Now I am stuck at school and work and will not be able to get it fixed until tomorrow. It is very inconvenient for me and now I am upset because I wont be able to answer the important phone call I am expecting after work.

Bad place will never go again there my laptop was promised to be fixed in two days it took them more than two weeks and refuse to show me my device till I pay his fee am almost sure after I pay the device won’t work as promised otherwise why he ask me to pay before I see my device, my advice to you is do not go there find someone else to fix your device

I have used these guy multiple times for multiple devices and each time they fix my device first time and I never have any problems. They have quality parts on hand. and a lot of other places use second rated parts that result in the device ultimately failing within a short period of time.
