Just bought a .308 savage arms from here. Love the gun. I was going to get a different one but the guy at the gun counter (i think his name was Paul) convinced me to get this one. Absolutely LOVED the service and professionalism he displayed. He made it very easy to decide which gun i wanted and gave me tons of suggestions and tips. He definitely deserves a raise. Been shopping at this academy ever since they built it and I’ve never had a single problem with the employees, service, or anything like that. Probably the best experience I’ve had buying a gun. Will definitely be coming back again like i always do. 11/10

Great prices but staff stands around talking with one register opened and many guests in line. Did not open another register and the manager was standing there. Dont be in a hurry here this happens all of the time

My favorite sporting goods store in town. They have a little bit of everything and a great selection for outdoor cooking.

I ordered item online and went to there to pick up. They couldnt find and made me wait for 10 min. Finally they found my stuff(just under the table), and gave me without any apologies. As if it is normal.Hope they improve their service

My wife and I go here often enough for clothes, gear, etc. Its been our go to store for quite sometime. Thinking about purchasing a kayak from them in the very near future . Always good experience/ pricing here for us . Highly recommend to everyone often

The store is great to shop at and the staff is friendly. However... a fast checkout would make it better. 2 registers open and “management” walking around with a line backed into the clothes section. Staffing is hard these days in retail but when employees are available standing around and you don’t open registers to take customers money that’s a problem.

The worm selection was huge and the worms were so juicy and lively that I wanted to bite on my own fishing lines. Hope its like this often cause Walmart worms are rotten, dead, or ransacked.

Prices are not competitive. Store was well stocked.

Would give it 5stars but the guy (Jacob) in the firearms department, acted like he wasn’t interested in helping a person of color. Lied about wait time, slung his tablet towards me, ignored my question and acted as tho I was bothering him. His service sucks and makes me not want to return

The person whose job was to organize the lines was propped up at a register, only half paying attention causing chaos mid afternoon on a Saturday. Not a lot of duffle bag options. Found a great selection of tennis shoes though!

Good place to get a little bit of everything. Decent prices and good employees. They have everything from shoes and clothing to grills and guns and fishing equipment . All in all ...... a pretty good place .

Didnt have my color and size in the shoe I needed but had other colors in the right size for me to try on. The department associate Grace offered assistance and had knowledge of the differences between the shoes I was interested in (which I knew to be true because Id already done my research ;) I tried a few on, made my selection, and she ordered the pair I liked in the color I wanted. I appreciated the service, especially since its so rare these days. See Grace if you go in.

Great I was in and out those guys took care of me only tried on one pair of shoes and sealed the deal.

You had what looked to be a 19 yr old girl in the hunting department and when asked a question she had the “deer in headlights” look because she didn’t have the first clue of what I was talking about as she continued to txt her friend on the phone. Exceptional quality on merchandise in stock, rarely out of anything. Best overall selection of clothing, shoes and outdoor gear around. Easy to navigate and get out quickly.

Academy always has the best customer service and they take care of any issues you may have with a purchase no questions asked.

Easy process for online pick up because Grandpa bought his first grand son his first bike

Machine printed receipt, worker tore the receipt in half. I asked for a new one, they would not print it. Worker says I should have used the email receipt button. I respect all the people staying behind me time, so I didnt put in my email with their terrible system single punch system. Just bad customer service... Zero stars would be better. No items in stock and return policy stinks. Go online, this store will be going vacant soon of they dont get better employees working there. 🤦‍♂️👎

Disappointed in the the service at this store. We purchased a bike, but noticed the brakes were not adjusted correctly. Before leaving the store we asked to have the brakes adjusted. We were told the bike assemblers would be in the next day, that they would fix the bike and that we would be called when the bike was ready for pickup.The next day came and went. Nobody called. The following day we went to retrieve the bike, and the brakes had still not been adjusted. We were offered the option of leaving the bike at the store to possibly have it fixed at some future date, maybe, or to cancel the sale for a refund. I expected better from Academy Sports.

Personally we all know there is an ammo shortage but just dont feel its quite fair that they keep stock of ammo in the back and refuse to sell it to customer actually dont have any and arent trying buy everything they see as this happened at academy in newnan ga. Was not impressed at all considered all i want is 500rd 22 cal box.

Big store, many great sport and outdoor items. Large clothing section with good selection. I ordered an item on line and picked it up in the store. They offer curbside pickup, but I toured the store. Many open spots on the shelves. I will return in a week to see if they restocked.

Not my place to go. Very unprofessional added with an uncomfortable environment. Horrible Customer service. Felt as though I was being followed for no apparent reason. Would not recommend to buy ammo or guns being that theyre always out of stock! I wish I could rate 0.

The first time I came here to pick up a bike I had no problems. I used the email to notify employees for curbside service and they brought my bike out with no issues. Today(10/10/20) the older guy at the front lobby was rude. I used the email to notify them of my arrival and no one showed up to my vehicle after 5 minutes. When I go inside the older load prevention guy cuts me off to give me wipes because he thought I touched the trash can. Then makes a rude comment about my size when I was picking up my bike. He seems very socially awkward.
