This is a great place to go if youre looking for a military surplus store! They have a great selection of clothing and merchandise from all of the branches. They also have some camping gear, and various other things that Veterans and Active personnel would love! Whenever I need something, I always go here first!

Staff is approachable and knowledgeable in regard to the tactical gear within the store, though, I feel this Army surplus shop lacked the proverbial surplus I was looking for. Mostly, the equipment was Chinese knock offs, and whatever was left of actual surplus equipment was outrageously priced, imo. Liquidate equipment that hasnt sold in years and repurchase modernized Military equipment would be my biggest suggestion and what I hope to see from the shop. That being said, this is the tactical gear shop that I would recommend in Connecticut.

They have a huge selection of anything military related...plus a lot more. Uniforms, air soft, back packs and field bags, boots, etc. Everything you could think of along the lines of military surplus.. The items are new not used

My partner and I went to purchase pants for work. We both chose the same pair of pants. The same brand, and they were on the same rack. His pair was a bigger size. The price on his was 30 dollars, the price on mine was 53 dollars. We brought both pairs to the front and told the guy working. He looked in the system and said there was nothing he could do because the owner sets the price. He didn’t offer any kind of help. I can’t believe in this time where stores are closing left and right due to the internet that they would let me walk out without offering any kind of actual help or explanation. Knowing that this experience will likely prevent me or any of my co- workers from going back. We all love gear and talk about it a lot. I looked the pants up on amazon while in the store and the pants were 30 dollars. Unbelievable.

I love this store and everybody is great but yesterday I went with the wife, that have the sign that facemask is required before you walk in but out of 5 people working just 1 lady had a mask, the other 4 no mask and no distancing what so ever. Unfortunately we had 240 plus cases is this las 2 day and is because been negligent like this the reason.

Lots of awesome stuff. Air soft, military items etc... Lots of pins, badges, patches. Army, AF, Marines, firefighters, boots, uniforms. Once you go once 9 times out of 10 you will go back again. I bought a thermal once and it looks like a bullet. Cool stuff. Awesome service as well.

Have had negative experiences in the past with items not being in stock multiple times. Guns not working right. but just recently when in with my friend to buy a echo 1 asr both of us were purchasing the same gun when we got out to the car I realized his box and everything in it was in nice packaging with all original contents. my gun however didnt have 1 gram of plastic wrap on it nor was anything in the box it was also missing parts and the tool kit. it was clearly a used gun I went back in the store to confront the lady about and she wasnt very helpful at all telling me they opened it and it was ok...…. I bought a brand new gun there should be everything in the box unopened bottom line or it should be sold at an open box price customer service needs to improve along with the items sold need to be complete and not being sold new when they are clearly used.

This place is great a lot of cool stuff. Great staff very helpful. It was my first visit an I found an item for a lot less money which was real cool. Cant wait to go back.

I havent been there for a little while now. But every time I go in there I have really good customer service. If you serve in the military have served or work in law enforcement Emergency Services such as firefighting EMS stuff like that even volunteer firefighting like I do, they will do a 10% discount on your entire purchase. Which is awesome and they have everything you need for that kind of Lifestyle. As well as prepping needs and paintball and airsoft merchandise. Cant say enough about them theyre just awesome.

One of my favorite places to visit in CT, has a great selection of gear and clothing. Front wall has a huge selection of knives and a decent-sized stock of airsoft rifles. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly, love this place!

This place is amazing. It has everything and more. Camping, hiking, Airsoft gear and guns, knives, replica swords, military boots and clothing, EMT/EMS pants and shirts. Security shirts and jackets. Not to mention 100s of pins and patches. If not in store they can also do special orders. Definitely check them out.

Surplus store for people who intend to use it at good prices. Shop carries mainly newer surplus (1980/90s +) and new uniform apparel from the familiar brands. Also has a selection of airsoft guns and equipment and a decent knife selection at OK prices. Good place to find some things for hiking and camping, new MREs in cases, singles and individual snacks and body armor. Younger friendly staff always ask if I need help with anything. Not run by the grumpy old boomer asking insane prices. Been shopping here for years and havent been disappointed yet.Make sure to read the policies before buying items like knives, some sales are not returnable.Prices on most items are pretty good and in some cases even competitive with online but there are still a few things that are much cheaper to order like the Israeli bandages. Also have other locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

This is frankly one of the best places to get military surplus items in the state of CT. The staff are very helpful with finding what you need and if they do not have an item in stock are willing to recommend nearby places that might. Have been there many times and had nothing but good experiences.

I liked this store. New gear, paramilitary clothes and packs. Camping/survival gear. Boots and novelty t-shirts. LARGE selection of knives, collectible and functional folders and fixed blades, with bargain brands(frost/explorer) and quality manufactures (kabar/cold steel). Swords and fantasy blades. Airport rifles and pistols and gear. And a decent amount of actual used military clothing, goods and collectibles. VERY FRIENDLY and helpful staff.

Change of staff over the past couple of months. Thats a good thing. They seem to be friendlier and more helpful with customers finding things and giving information. Theyre prices are low compared to other stores like this. They have a huge selection of quality knifes, clothing, and airsoft. Among other things in the store are military clothing, camping gear and surplus items! I love looking and buying at this store.

By far the best place to get airsoft gear and weapons, knives, tactical gear, and much more. The staff goes above and beyond to help out and every one of them knows what they are talking about! This store is amazing and has everything I needed for airsoft. It has a bit higher prices then online but if you buy something online then you dont know what quality your getting. I am only 13 and I know more then the people at the counter.

Its about as good as army navy stores go these days. Unfortunately their focus has been more on modern military style gear than actual surplus. I doubt its their fault, surplus is gett my harder to find these days.

This place is fantastic! a great army navy store. they have pretty much everything. Im not in to air soft but they have a ton of it here. Their prices are a bit high, some things i get here others i have a look at in person and then buy on Amazon. A back pack they charged $140 i got same thing on Amazon for $102. i still support them (a lot, maybe too much) but some things are overpriced.

Army barracks in Newington is definitely an above average tactical gear store which caters to conventional shoppers as well as Airsoft enthusiasts. Youll also find a good selection of tactical gear such as knives,, radio holders, magazine pouches, etc. Its definitely worth a visit.

Friendly staff, but needs to work on learning military insignia like the difference between uniform pins versus a simple the tac.

I was looking to start airsoft, So i went in one day with my mom to look at the guns and equipment and just went to go ask some questions. When I went inside to look at the guns and I was very kindly greeted by the staff which educated me on airsoft and told me how to get started and recommendations for guns. I was so happy with the service and learned a lot and will defiantly go back and buy a gun from them because the staff is educated on airsoft and can help me get started.

The majority of the stuff they have there is decent quality and good if you want to get equipment or clothing for airsoft. However, the airsoft guns that they have are not the highest quality. I personally owned 6 guns from their store, and half of those have broken. The first gun i bought lasted for over a year, so it was a good buy, but a pistol and rifle i bought from there both broke after only a few months, and their combined cost was $450 so I was rather upset. If you want high quality guns, go online. But for any equipment with no moving parts, this is a great store.

Everytime i come in the store something has changed. Its like a maze. Even when asking for help the employees dont know where half the stuff is. The store manager Alex is the rudest person Ive encountered there. He had no knowledge of airsoft other than telling me KWA and Krytac are the best brands... Well duh anyone knows that. Other wise he has no knowledge. Then he just went back to whatever he was doing and brushes me off to another employee. He acted like i was bothering him taking up his time. Completely unprofessional so i left. As a manager he should handle customers ready to spend money with more patience and respect. Ill bring my business to online or another store.

Nice clean they have almost everything

Bought a pack there in November already broken after 1 use. Most items are China made and poor quality. I called about getting the pack replaced or returned and was told only store credit if returned since it was used nothing and no warranty in their stuff. Will never spend money there again.

The store itself is pretty okay. Most times I can either find what I need on my own, or an employee will ask if I need help. They used to have a large selection of paintball supplies, including guns, pods, armor, masks, parts and upgrades, and so on. Now all they have are a few pods, a couple barrels and a bag or two of soggy paintballs while their airsoft selection takes up half the store. Will be going to Hogans Alley from now on, once Ive cleaned out the rest of their clearance upgrade kits and parts. I cant bash the store too badly, I mean its a wonderful place for most people who want cheaper airsoft supplies at a brick-and-mortar markup, but for the good stuff, stick to online.
