Curbside pick up is ideal and the staff is amazing

This is THE biggest JOANN Fabric I have ever been to!! The store staff was super helpful and the store had everything I needed. I traveled an hour to visit this store as my local store never has what I need. I am totally willing to make the hour drive (1 way) again to get what I need. I really hope Joann Fabric will make their other stores bigger as Fabric stores are a dying breed.

I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics and the Berlin Turnpike in Connecticut, I was just picking up some thread for my mother-in-law, I understand it was right before closing, but instead of showing me where the item is everywhere I went someone had to remind me to pay the closing in 5 minutes instead of helping me find the item.

Many varieties available at this store. Good coupon this week. Excellent quality. Excellent customer service. Clean store.

They had everything my sons needed for their project with their mom. We got not o ly shado boxes, but paints as well as about 6 different types of yarn for blankets gor their puppies.

One of the few chain stores left that sells cloth by the yard and has decent deals and rewards if you use their app

A beginning knitter; I stopped in tonight and received awesome customer service! Lori was kind, helpful and patient. Not only was she great to me, but I witnessed it with other customers in the store as well. Great store with helpful attentive staff! I will be back to get more yarn!

I just want to thank the manager at the Newington Joannes, wish I knew her name. I had been to Joannes across MA and CT trying to get Uconn fabric. Online said it was in stock at the stores for online or in store pick-up but it wouldnt let me buy it to pick it up. There none in store when I physically went to the locations. I called the Newington store and they had some, she physically went and put my name on it. I had over an hour drive to get to Newington and in a heavy storm to boot. The price was different at their store but she honored the price I was able to show her. I was feeling about ready to cry until she did that. I was so incredibly grateful and really appreciated that a store cared that about such things. The super long drive home at night seemed worth it after she did that.Thank you for setting it aside, for honoring the price shown and being so very human.Our new Covid world really needs people to be good to each other and the Newington store delivered just that. Thank you!

1st time knowing about this store ever.. Lots of options for arts and crafts... so many options to choose from.. this place really has everything you need to make whatever your imagination wants... if solar flares would take out our satellites and bring earth 🌎 back 100 years, this is the place you would want to have access... :)😃

I always go to this location since its close to home and they seem pretty well stocked most of the time. I usually go here for yarn and occasionally baking supplies. I wish they had another aisle of yarn, or a larger variety of shades.

Sooooo happy with this place!! All employees were helpful, friendly and patient! Especially the fabric cutter employee Marco. Will definitely go back to this specific store.

Berlin Tpke is very disorganized compared to Southington! I did an online order - got to the store but couldnt do curbside pickup because there phones werent working. Went in & stood in front of the big green arrow online order pickup here ...waited about 5 min then asked the cashier if somebody was handling online orders. She told me I had to stand in line (the line had about 10 people in it with only 2 cashiers) I said, The sign says online order pickup here. I ordered online so that I didnt have to come on to the store and wait on a long lineIn a somewhat passive-aggressive tone she said she would take care of me next. I gave her my name, she couldnt find the order. She asked if I got the ready to pick up email. I showed it to her. She then went & checked the back. Their system said my order was ready & that there were 2 bags at the front of the store. I was in there over a half hour while they tried to find it. I would have given 1 star if it werent for the other woman who went and filled a new order and was very apologetic.

Terrible customer services. Be prepared to be here much longer than you expect.

Why give out coupons if you make it impossible to use them? Train your employees better. Your cashier wouldnt even look me in the eyes when I was asking her about the 20% coupon.

Its been a long time since Ive been in a Joanns thats nice. Usually theyre dirty with a leaky roof and not stocked well. This one was nice

So every time I go to this Joanns they always have a line to check out! Then if I cant find a product and ask for help the staff always seem annoyed. I try not to go here if possible.

Would give zero stars. Staff were rude and uncomfortable. I get its the holidays and it gets busy but you could be a little nicer. Always some problem with coupons. No one ever wants to help so unless you know exactly what youre looking for and where it is, dont bother coming here.

I was ordering for pickup and I kept experiencing a glitch. The items were selling out fast. I called, explained the problem and the staff helped me complete my purchase manually. The order was waiting for me to pick up. They were really helpful.

Large selection of yarn, just not the exact one I wanted! So i had to get some new colors/styles that were on sale! Gotta get knitting 4 Christmas! Then i ended up getting some new paint & canvas & wood &... & $200 later...!?!

I do a lot of photography and Im always looking for things to use as props. I have found a lot of things here. Even Matts for my pictures. They have a nice selection of picture frames. The prices are good. There is a good selection for everyone there.

Pro: The lady who helped me found a 70% off coupon for me that I didnt even know existed.Con: with 70% off the frame was still $250 😭

Always trust...when other fabric stores dont have what you need, joanns is the second best place to go, and youll most of the time will find a sale or some kind of discount. I picked up 70$ worth of fabric and other items an spent less than $ 22.00.WHAT A DEAL !

What a big store!!!! I forgot how big it was, since I havent been there in over A YEAR. What a difference too! I was actually even able to find everything I needed easily. That never used to be the case. What a big change, it was clean and organized, and even though busy all the employees where friendly and helpful as much as possible. I am going to pass this on, because what a nice visit I had there on what looked like a real busy day.

Very nice workers. I called before hand to see if they had an item and they were kind enough to go check. When I arrived the workers there were very helpful (normally youre greeted at an Aaron Brothers or Michaels) once you asked someone. Great coupons online and a very large selection of craft items.

I came in about 20 minutes before the store closed and found the staff to be a little rude. Instead of helping me find what I needed, I was reminded by everyone that they were closing. I felt that I was being pushed out the door and that I was not valued as a customer. At checkout I had a hard time talking to the cashier as she was busy talking and laughing with everyone around her and not focusing on my transaction. Shopping here could be improved by installing self scanners at this location as pricing is not clearly marked. You are left with having to bring everything up to the register for price checking which is time consuming for both the customer and staff.

Great collection for sew projects, craft projects, art projects, scrapbook enthusiasts, quilter Heaven.... Come ready to wander and dream, get lost in thought and imagination and inspiration. Dont leave a love one in the car and tell them you are running in quickly.... It is not possible to fly in and fly out....if only for the fact that there is often oy one person at the register...

Customer service needs work.

Had the worst experience. Im not a crafty person. Was seeking some help and unfortunately did not receive any help. The person helping me was extremely rude! I could not find the fabric I purchased couple day earlier so I was trying to see if someone could help me locating it. The stuff member stated If you cant find it, how am I supposed to find it!. That was the second time she was totally disrespectful toward me. Absolutely unacceptable!

People werent friendly @ all (cashiers) ignored me from the time I was in the door. I watched them greet others that werent of. my well.........Ill let you guess the rest....smh....IJS felt very uncomfortable I left.

LOVE this place but depending on who you get at the checkout counter.... a couple of the women who work there are rude, have a huge attitude problem and make my awesome trip end on a sour note. I spend a TON of money there... I am there at least once a week... some of the women need to put a smile on their faces and at least pretend to be nice and like what theyre doing! Other than that, this store is very clean and organized and most items are priced correctly. I like going there!

Joann Fabrics has a wide range of artwork products. The yarns are beautiful and there is a wide variety as well. The prices are a bit high though. They teach sewing and cake decorating too I was told some time ago.

We went to this Jo-Anns because it is the closest to our home. There were 15 people in line for the cutting table, w/ only 2 cutters working. When asked for help in locating a zipper none was offered. When the zipper location was found there were no zippers the size I needed. The check-out line was 20 people long. We were not asked if we found everything. Will no longer go to this location.

I go here almost weekly to get my craft supplies. The people that work there are very friendly and always there to help if needed. My only complaint is that the cutting table is usually full of lines and takes a very long while to wait. On rare occasions its only 1-3 people. For the rest I love the store.In short, the pros:- Friendly- Most supplies are always in stock- Great assistance if neededCons:- Waiting line for cutting takes too long if there are 3+ people- This Joann doesnt accept more than 1 coupon, any other Joann stores accepts multiple that I have.

Still miss the Cromwell store where staff was friendlier and sale was clearly marked.

I love and live at JoAnn Fabrics! As a Faux Floral Wedding and Decor Designer, I am here almost daily. Whether to grab more ribbon, filler flowers, brooches, or shells for my bouquets and/or floral supplies such as hot glue and floral tape JoAnns has it all! Local and reasonable! Cant beat it! ( :

I shopped at Joanns during the Christmas holiday break while visiting with my daughter and grandchildren. I was able to find excellent bargains and crafting materials.

Ive always found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. Those complaining of poor customer service might consider trying to be better customers. It never ceases to amaze me how rude some people can be.

The Advance Quilting class is very enjoyable and instructor the Darlene is wonderful and goes over and beyond to help you.

Overall I like Joanns. Stores can vary in material patterns. If you see something you like you should get then because if you go back it could be gone, and not available in another store. Depending on store your in some staff are excellent others not as much. I go to primarily four different Joanns in my state all and my review is based on them.
