RedBOX and a machine to recycle ♻️ cans and bottles, probably with the Massachusetts return deposit on the label. Decent produce section.I received good service at checkout. Touchless payment option available. Facemasks required to enter store. No sales tax on groceries.A little crampt around the registers. Floors marked with arrows to direct traffic.BYOB! Bring your own bag! If you want plastic, you will have to pay 10¢ per bag.

I love Market Basket and the Newburyport location provides what I depend upon when shopping for groceries with Market Basket. Every staff member I spoke with was helpful and courteous. The store was easy to navigate and had all of the Market Basket products that my family enjoys. The produce is fresh and the bakery has had lots of familiar items. I filled my cart with enough to feed my small family for a week for just over $100. You really do get More For Your Dollar at Market Basket.

This is one of the larger, brighter of the Market Basket locations. As I have mentioned before, Im rather transient and so I cannot say I have done a very large shopping here for quite some time. But if I were to handpick a place to shop, this Market Basket would be at the top of my list. I recently stopped in quickly to pick up some essentials and, even during this time of crisis, all the employees I interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. They were also quite vigilant about using hand sanitizer between customers.

Too busy, hectic and I prefer calm, interesting like whole foods and they dont do health food and dont know much about but staff always friendly.

Market Basket is a big grocery store chain in New Hampshire. Every one of the stores Ive been to is excellent.They have the freshest local produce (whenever available) and great meats. They also have many other items and features that other large grocery stores just dont have.They truly destroy the Super Walmart at Epping Crossing.

People act differently in different areas as you know. This Market Basket is one where, Im better than you attitude is presented. Once you get past most of these people then youre good. Remember to not judge a book by its cover. I work for a living and most likely have more funds then you. Lets respect each other because you never know who youre dealing with.

I went there today to grab a few things.when you work at the deli and I tell you what I would like and you have to keep asking me be suspicious your to busy listing to everyone elses conversation,and then you get your meats thrown .and dont even ask if you would like anything else.in my book you ignorant. Maybe you need to pay attention to the customer instead of everything else.i will never go there again. So to whom it may concern you may wanna tell your workers that the customer is more important than other conversations around you....

I dont know which Market basket u are asking some are better cleaner less busy nicer cashiers and workers. But I shop here they have the best prices but everything is going up right now.

Coming from having cat scan at Anna jaques.i stopped at m.b.there.The worst market basket ever.wanted international coffee cream, none I liked, wanted shaved steak.None.wanted white sliced mushrooms.they were black ugh.wanted egg roll ups they only had small won ton size.all vegetables were wilted.waste of my time.ill stick to my own m.b. in Stratham n.h.where I know everything is fresh . Sorry but I wont shop at that one again ugh.

It’s an Old store that needs renovation.Generally, food prices are relatively reasonable depending on what one buys.It’s relatively less expensive than food next door at Shaws supermarket.

Good grocery store

I totally dig market basket! Not only do they have the best deals in town, theyre pretty great to work for as well (full disclosure-yes Im employed by them)..quarterly bonuses, every Sunday is over time as well as any hours over 40..and theres a path up the ladder if u want to make it ur career. U wont find ummm ANYONE whos going to give u a quarterly bonus anymore. I think its worth it for that alone!!

Excellent prices every day and amazing prices on sale items and Managers Specials. I was visiting the area, so do not shop this market routinely, but it would be my go-to if I lived here. I am not alone in feeling this way, as the store and parking lot were packed late on a Sunday afternoon. Bring your own reusable bags, or you will have to pay 10 cents per plastic bag or you can get free paper bags. I didnt know this was a Massachusetts law, but I am actually glad it is.

Did not have one thing I needed. They were even out of garlic. Realize Im there after a holiday but every time I go I have to go to Shaw for something. Would give my right arm for a good grocery store in this area. MB prices are low but you get what you pay for.

Overcrowded as shoppers assume everything is cheaper there.. Just compare a simple thing like bananas..49© lb there and 39© at Shaws & S&S. They nickel and dime you on allot of items... Produce goes bad quickly

This place is rediculous the store manager Never smile the lady Melissa at the booth is rude to everyone everytime i walk in there shes always giving someone an attitude im thinking i should start recording her.... Then there paying these young kids to just stand at the front of the store laughing doing nothing its always the same girls standing there laughing talking inappropriately the only good experiance ive ever had in this store was with the produce sub shop nd of course the bakery they need to remove these employees who just stand around laughing while you got these elderly employees working hard witho a complaint. Disappointed in what the store has become since the newer manager has been there it really has fallen apart

I think market basket has great value and variety. My main concern is that I have to pay attention to who is bagging. Some people are not mindful so I often have to stand in a longer line so I can have a good bagger. They need to train their baggers better there are too few good ones. And they need to make sure their produce people dont dump the apples. There is a much higher number of bruised apples there than other grocery stores...I will say that seems to be improving though

Normally we shop the Market Basket, Lincoln Ave., Haverhill. Its always out of Morning Star Farms vegie meatless items. Everytime I go to the Newburyport store they have plenty of every product.

LOVE coming here, puts Shaws and the other chain to shame. Thank God they have come to Maine, to give the only to chains needed competition.

Im all for saving the environment by no longer using plastic bags here. But to charge per paper bag? And when you bring your own usable bags they still use paper bags that you have to pay for.. No thanks

The area around seafood always smells bad much like other Market Baskets and the service quality is mixed at best.The prices are clearly overrated In fact, Shaws has reduced prices so much and has additional savings via their Mymixx program such that my last 6 shopping trips at Shaws would have been priced higher at Market Basket.You can still save a lot of money by shopping Sams Club... 99% of their selection is indeed lower price (alright if you would otherwise buy store brand at MB but the selection forces you to get name brand at Sams, its 90% but you get the idea). Occasional trips to Trader Joes when Im in the neighborhood still saves me a bunch over any supermarket on all natural products too.

Honestly its not the store physically that is the problem, its the staff. I see more staff standing around chatting rather than actual work being done. The only staff that actually seems to work is the cashiers and baggers. I mean just today a guy stocking the shelves in a blue jacket was yelling on his phone. Right infront of me, like it was nothing.If there was another market basket closer Id be there. Sadly this is what we are stuck with.
