I was helping a friend put some of her stuff in the storage on the 2nd floor of the building.Carts were provided and a large elevator to move all your stuff and loved seeing all the security features the building had.Very clean building and grounds.

I rented a truck two weeks in a row through the U-Haul on line portal and both times the location which I clearly specified I wanted to pick up the truck from was changed on me even though confirmation was correct. U-Haul didnt even have the courtesy to contact me to tell me the truck was not going to be at the correct location. Communication for this company is horrible! They make you pick up at a location 15 to 20 miles away from the place you wanted to originally pick up from and then you incur extra fees for unnecessary milage..A very unprofessional experience with U-Haul twice in a row .

This review is not from Dennis but from Stephanie. Im giving 5 stars to U Haul at this location because of Darien! If Darien didnt step in and start moving things around to fix a computer glitch, I would have had no place to put my things packed into a rented 20 foot truck. He made it work somehow, and I mean somehow, and turned what could have been a very big mess, (furniture on the side walk), into a very grateful smile! I ended up with a unit that was still able to accommodate all my belongings and a very thankful heart! Darien, thank you, you went above and beyond for me and my family and I will always be grateful! God bless you, keep up the good work, I walked away from U Haul with a great appreciation for you! :0)

NEVER USE THIS PLACE FOR STORAGE!!! The units flood regularly and your stored stuff will be ruined. On top of that horror, the staff is untrained and borderline rude. But the worst is that when there is a flood, the staff has been instructed by Uhaul management to cut the lock on you storage unit and THROWN AWAY any of your stuff that may hav gotten wet, WITH NO ADVANCE NOTICE TO THE CUSTOMERS

I rented a storage unit with this uhaul for the past year or 2 and usually the customer service was mediocre, however because of my experience with Ashley G. recently I had to come on here and thank her for changing that for me. People seem to forget that simple customer service goes a long way.

Staff is renting vehicles that are in very bad shape, we had a truck broken down in the middle of the trip twice. You Cant Control the truck if it goes above 40 miles per hour. Their TRUCKS ARE NOT SAFE. Extremely bad location, management wont call back to discuss the problem with the truck, not even an apology from the staff. If the management thinks we will go away by ignoring our calls that is not going to happen and they are not ready to hear what we have to say because this is the safety issues we dont want anyone to run into SCARY and CRAZY trip that we experienced.

I am local entertainment business owner. I have been using this facility for over a year now and have spent thousands of dollars on truck rentals and storage fees. A year ago this would have been a 5 star review. However recently the place has been falling apart. The manager himself is great and if he is present things operate much smoother but when he is not there i dread having to go. Poor customer service behind the desk, very slow and no one seems to know what theyre doing. When renting a truck there has been numerous errors on mileage, gas and to top it off i returned a truck last night at midnight and they just called me today at 4:00pm to ask why I havent returned the vehicle yet!!!!!! I dont get how that can happen. There is a drop box for the keys. I didnt think it was possible to make a mistake like that. When i am on the premises other customers complain about similar issues. I really hope this establishment can get their act together as this is set up to be a great business that many depend on. I have been back and forth on the decision on finding an alternative for my business.

I paid for a van roundtrip and a storage was treated horrible the van was dirty no windshield wipper fluid bad service got disrespected by a customer whom left with merchandise she didnt pay for. The young lady wouldnt look at the van after i begged her too do to wrong mileage and gas level. Stuff was broken in the van still havent talked too managment . iv left several messages and begged customer service too reach out them.

Very happy to have been able to store SO MUCH STUFF for such a reasonable price in an air conditioned, temperature controlled unit. Thanks U-Haul in Middlehope for being there in my time of need. I give them 5 STARS!!! All Employees have been more than accommodating, very kind, pleasant and enjoyable to work with. THANKS GUYS!

This place is very unorganized. I’ve been calling for a week to have a correction made on my account. I was told that I have to speak with the manager. I’ve left several messages with no return call. I’ve called every day no one answers the phone. It’s unbelievable. Meanwhile I’m locked out of my unit. I would not recommend this facility.

Have a storage unit here and they are kind of expensive but i needed climate control and this so a good location for me. You need a key card to get in and out and a pin. That makes me feel safe if your looking for something with climate control call them to get a price.

Angelina and the team were able to accommodate me on short notice as I had completely forgot to book a truck to move with all the other things involved in a momove going on. The truck I needed was delayed being returned and they followed up to let me know so I didnt have to sit around at the location. All in all they helped me out in a time of need and I was able to get my families belongings moved into our new house on the day I had planned but forgot to plan.

The general manager at this location, Thomas, is the most friendliest and most professional GM I have ever met. I rent trucks frequently for my business and have visited several facilities and noticed many of the GMs have this air to them along with a strong, cold character. This facility is one of the cleanest and nicest I have been to in some time. The other staff members seem to be on the same page and are very kind and eager to help answer any of my questions.

It had been 4 months since I rent a truck. I was wrongfully charged for gas service. I returned the truck exactly the way I received it I even have a picture verifying the gas gauge and mileage. I emailed the manager I have called several times and I have yet to see a refund, a phone call or a reply to my email.

DO NOT BOOK A RESERVATION HERE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE! If you plan on making a reservation here, be sure to call every single day to ensure they dont give away your equipment. Jerome the current manager is extremely disrespectful, full of himself, and inconaiderate. He does not honor reservations, even when you have a hard copy of what was promised in your reservation! The entire team refuses to own up to their mistakes, will lie, and even cancel your reservations all together just to avoid owning up to their mistakes. I have never seen a busines run so poorly, and lack basic communication skills. I repeat, DO NOT MAKE ANY RESERVATIONS HERE! I was guaranteed a truck for 2 days as stated in my emailed reservation confirmation. Last minute they claimed they could no longer let me use it for 2 days, and changed it to 24hrs without informing me. On the day of, when I called in confused, instead of owning up to the mistake they made by double booking the truck; Jerome went ahead and cancelled the reservation all together so they wouldnt risk me not returning it in 24hr. Their disregard for customers is appalling.

Renters beware. Without my knowledge, Manager modified my rental trailer contract to a trailer that had faulty equipment (broken wiring harness) even though I ended up renting a completely different trailer, then charged me for damages to the trailer I never rented. Tried to resolve issue over the phone. Manager threatens to bar me from future UHaul rentals if I dispute the charges. I will gladly stay away from this place in the future.

Staff convinced me to change order of a rental truck that it would benefit me. It ended up costing 200$ more then the one way rental I was going to do. I was charged for things specifically I told them I didnt need such as blankets and hand truck. It was a fight tonget it back even when pics were taken showing that they werent needed

John went out of his way to assist us. We had just spent 31 days crossing the country with a group of cyclists and needed to pack up all our extra gear to send home. We pulled up in an RV and spent time packing up boxes. John and his team were very patient with us and could not have been more helpful. I highly recommend this location; the staff are friendly, helpful and kind. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again.

Easy going staff. Cheapest in area and the only place where my stuff didnt get ruined in the outside storage. 24 hour access is available with charge but good to have. They have 24/7 surveillance which is a plus.

This place is very unorganized and they lack communication. There is a phone room and the actual store and they must have no communication. To start I needed an appointment for a tow hitch and it was scheduled for a Sunday but then I received a call the Saturday before saying they don’t do hitches on sundays....but he said If I drop it off in the morning he’ll get to it. Called the night before and let them know I’ll be dropping off a different car and they said ok. Dropped the car off and they didn’t even know it was there for two days!! I called three times till I actually got ahold of the store. Picked up the car and didn’t even bother waiting for them to install so just went to the uhaul in new Windsor. About three days later, I rented a pick up from them(19.95 plus mileage) for a day and then asked for another day and they said another 20 dollars, that was fine but then they charged me for three days!!! A extra 20 dollars!! So I called and they told me it “automatically charges you an extra day since you dropped off after we closed” even though I had it rented till 7:30!! The lady upfront is very nice but they don’t know what’s going on!! Easily could’ve been ripped off but I pay attention to receipts!! JUST GO TO THE NEW WINDSOR LOCATION!!! These people have no clue what’s going on!!

This facility has everything it needs to be a premier storage facility: indoor, 24-hr access, elevator, etc., but it is, and always has been, poorly run. When I originally moved in, I was told I could not have a 10x15 unit because none were available. So my only option was to take three 10x5 units; definitely not ideal, but acceptable. In the first few months, there were issues with the elevator and there continues to be issues with the key card to get in. Theres a sign on the window with number to call for issues after hours, but I could never get cell phone reception anywhere near the Newburgh/Middlehope Uhaul address. During the entire contract, I was not able to pay online at all. And each time I had to go to the office to pay the bill or for any of the other problems encountered, the parking spaces (those that werent handicapped spaces) were filled with uhaul trucks and what must have been employee cars. But my main complaint is about when I was ready to decrease my storage needs. The manager that I signed up with, Tomas I believe, explained that I could drop one of the 3 units if it was no longer needed and pay for two 10x5 units. The week before I started to move some items out, the staff under the current manager, Jovan, assured me that this was still the case. When one unit was empty and I went to close it out, Jovan explained that my 3 units were considered one unit and I would have to pay for 3 units no matter how many units I closed out. Not only did this not make any sense, it was contrary to everything I had been told. The following day I got a call from someone at the local office asking why my middle unit was empty, as if she stumbled upon my empty middle unit. I explained the situation and said that I had planned to call the corporate office to see if they could resolve the situation. This employee asked me not to tell the corporate office and that she would resolve it. She never called back, so I called the corporate office the following Monday. They took all the info and asked for the best way to contact me. When I said I didnt have any interest in speaking to Jovan, they said they would have the MCP call me. The MCP, Jamie Mapes, dumped it back onto Jovan, who then called me and told me that his answer the other day was still his answer and that it was final, that I could pay for the 3 units or move my contents out entirely and get relocated into different units. I called the corporate office again and explained that the issue was not resolved. They didnt know why the MCP would dump it off on the branch manager, and said they would have the Area District Vice President, Nick Marra, call me. Apparently, he then dumped it off back onto Jamie Mapes who in turn finally called me. She assured me that the units would be separated into three units and that she would resolve the situation. When she did not, I visited another local storage facility. This new storage facility offered to send a truck with two guys up to retrieve my belongings and move them into their storage facility free-of-charge. I now have an indoor 10X10 unit for $60 less per month. And where I would have most likely been using a UHaul pod and/or moving truck when my move date arrives, I now have a local, independent, small business alternative. In all fairness, Ive never had an issue when renting a truck from Uhaul, but Ill never use them again after this experience.

While the staff were polte & friendly when I booked the auto transporter for picked up at Middlehope thats where anything good ended. They are a disaster. They gave it to someone else! & told me to go to Middletown to get one 30+ miles away in the opposite direction. I called the main office & explained, they conveniently got disconnected? Now pretty upset I called back & was told there was nothing they could do however someone from customer service would call me with in 3 days as this was very important to them & shouldnt have happened, ya think? Three weeks have gone by & do you think anyone has called? Nope! So if you know anyone whos gravely incompetent, unemployed & looking for work tell them to check out U-Haul!

The bathrooms are repulsive. There hasnt been soap of any kind for months and the smell is so bad theyre almost impossible to use. The place appears to be run and operated exclusively by young adults who have no desire to be professional.

Worst experience ever! Left 3 messages and called numerous other times. Had the corporate scheduling office call and leave messages, all with zero response. Had to cancel my reservation and go with a more expensive option because they refused to respond. Highly recommend going somewhere else - ANYWHERE BUT HERE.

I originally ordered this hitch on July 15 with an original install date of July 24. The morning of July 24 I called just to confirm that they were ready to install my product before I drove the 30 minutes from my home to the location. They told me on the phone that the part was still not in (thanks for letting me know!!!!) and that they would call me when it arrived. Fast forward to yesterday (8/10) I call just to see what is going on wondering why I havent heard from anyone yet. I get a rep who tells me that he sees that I have an install scheduled for the following day (8/11) at 10AM. This is news to me so I inform him that no one has contacted me and that tomorrow I have to take a family member to the airport and I could get there around 4pm, would that be ok? He says absoloutly. Fine. So today (8/11) at 3:15pm I show up at the location (figured id give them a head start). The person behind the counter tells me that they do not have enough time to install the hitch today. I go on to mention that it has been almost a month since I ordered this product and that I have been rescheduled twice and left out of the loop during the entire process. This all in addition to the fact that I spoke to a rep on the phone YESTERDAY who confirmed my 4pm (45minutes later then I showed up) appointment. They didnt care and when I threatened to cancel the order and have my money refunded they decided to accept and refunded my credit card.What sort of business operates like this? I called 1-800-go-uhaul and after explaining my entire story to the customer service rep I was simply transferred to sales. I then had to explain everything AGAIN only to have the woman in sales tell me all she could do is set up another appointment. HELLO!!! Im an irate customer who has been disrespected and treated like scum by your entire company and all you can do is try to reschuedule (and recharge me)? are you kidding me? I have never had such a terrible experience with any business in my 33 years on this Earth.
