It was very obvious that they take immense pride in the performance of their craft. Just want to thank Depew Oil for taking great care of my elderly parents. They had an oil tank emergency across the river and their own oil company could not fit them in for weeks. Steven at Depew received our call and they were there in days and did a fantastic, efficient, clean job. Our sincere thanks for a job well done!Also on the 30th of Aug, a lightening strike damaged our furnace. Tommy and Lam were there right away, diagnosed the problem, got the parts and had the furnace running in about an hour. Very grateful.

We are very happy that we just switched to Depew from another local provider who continued to rate creep our propane. We called many other providers, but Depew had the quickest timeline, one of the best prices, and great customer service! They are going to save us about $1500 from our other provider!Even better, their techs were great, came out the next day to install tanks, put the old ones to the side, and even chatted about how we can have a better experience in our backyard when grilling and fire pit season is back with additional services they offer! After our most recent delivery in February, My husband contacted the company to let them know there was something wrong with the gauge as it was stuck on 80%. They said no, and that we werent using as much to cook with...fine. We called in May because we could smell propane in the kitchen. They sent someone out. He checked the line said nothing was leaking and that A lot of things smell like propane. I told him AGAIN about the gauge and he said it was fine. Yesterday we had to cook dinner on the grill because our propane tank (still reading at 80%) was COMPLETELY EMPTY. We use it for cooking...thats it and not very often.It should not be empty. We called Depew this morning to let them know and they would not send out anyone until we paid the $175 for the emergency call. The same emergency call we made for a propane smell that the tech brushed off as a could be anything smell. I asked if they could apply the $175 to filling up the tank. Not even asking for a discount on refilling the tank that has clearly been leaking for MONTHS. I was told that if the smell persisted, then i should have called back. Why would i call back after you charged me $175, and sent someone out for 5 minutes who told me that what i was smelling was not propane? The company should be completely embarrassed at the level of customer service they provide. They wont even take responsibility for their blatant negligence. Who knows how long weve been breathing this stuff in.

I was having problem with gas fireplace and spoke with Customer Service Representative Jen who advised me that a technician would contact me in the next few hours to set up time to assess my problem. Technician Chris called as promised and met at my house and diagnosed the problem and fixed same within an hour. I have dealt with Chris and Jen on other occasions and can only say they are extremely knowledgeable and courteous. They are great people to deal with !!!

Drove their truck through the yard tearing up the grass and would not take responsibility despite photos and video of their truck driving through the grass.

I called for service on a Friday at around 3pm and they were able to send someone to my house within a couple of hours. The technician was very knowledgeable and he found what the problem with my boiler was in just a couple of minutes. He explained to me what the problem was and quickly replaced the bad part. Luckily for me, the part was covered under my service contract so I did not have to pay anything for the visit. Years ago I had an unpleasant experience with the company, but this time I was very pleased with their service.

These are very decent people who are reliable and nice. We get regular deliveries and the gentleman who delivers our oil, PJ is straightforward and a ‘salt of the earth’ regular guy. They also service our furnace each year with no problems in the many years of service.

This company is no longer owned by the two local Honest ambitious brothers That founded it as young men. Thanks for years of great service and fair dealings. This is a big company now so let’s see. So far prices are higher than the mom and pops. In fairness it is a full service company which always charge more than a one truck Charlie. But be careful new owners we have options and a lot of us were loyal to the two “boys”

Im actually super disappointed that I have to leave a bad review because Ive used them for ages and never had a problem, that is until the last month. For the last 2 years Ive had an auto delivery and auto pay set up for propane for cooking. They were reliable, I never ran out, and they took my payment reliably as well. Suddenly they start calling me for my most recent payment, they dont have a credit card on file and Im past due. What? After two years of you taking my money out you suddenly dont have my card number? I thought it was a scam at first, until they came and took the tank, one day after emailing me that they would. I didnt even have a chance to contact them (Im actually an essential employee and work 50 hours a week). Sad to have this happen, like I said, never had a problem with them but they sure got itchy over their $65.

By far the best propane pricing. There was a billing issue, but it was resolved. Consistant automatic delivery. If youre concerned about bedside manner, it depends on who you get on the phone 🤷‍♂️

Bought a boiler from Depew in November 2018. They came in, installed it and it’s been working fine until today. I called in for service and was told that because the one year warranty was over Depew would not service it unless I am a current customer getting oil from them. WHAT!! ?? Really??!!So I paid $5500 for the unit but they refuse to service it unless I order oil from them? I have a company that delivers my oil and I’m happy with them.I’m just so upset about this right now that I could just scream!I’ll call my local guy for this issue and Depew will never hear from me again!

We ran out of oil two days before Thanksgiving. After calling 3 other oil companies Depew was the only one who would deliver the day before the holiday. They were friendly and arrived early in the morning before I left for work and the house was warm an hour later. We have 5 animals and it was important that they had heat during the hours we are away for work. Thank you

Filled up my rv propane at Depew today. The guys who did the work were super friendly! The price was unbeatable! And the company went out of their way to make this muted (Covid) Memorial Day experience more fun by setting up a free gift table with thoughtfull everyday things like eyeglass cloths, a keychain light, a pocket retractable tape measure and even a small softball for my pets to play with! HORRIBLE SERVICE! Trying to get an oil reading for a closing. Representative told me she “doesn’t have a time machine to know how much is in the tank.” Then when I asked to speak to her boss she put a real nasty individual Danielle on. She told me I should fill the tank up & pay the money. Meanwhile I’m selling and simply looking to get a finally reading. I would never use this garbage company. And I will make sure to let everyone I know Know what disgusting service they give.

Absolutely rude crooks of a company. Im actually appalled at the remarks I got over the phone when trying to resolve an issue after they couldnt figure out how to split the bill between me and another tenant on the property. When my credit card got charged for their bill they said try and get the money from the tenant. Are you kidding me? Refund my money for your secretary mistake. The bank ended up taking care of this issue for me. Which leads into my next complaint as if I already didnt dislike them enough.They call wanting a credit card on file to deliver since they are coming for the other tenant. Fine. I call and Im informed that I have to pay $250 TODAY up front or they are picking up the tanks. (Meanwhile I dont have a balance with them.)When I told them no Im not paying for a service that hasnt been preformed or propane not yet in my tanks. They told me thats to bad. I eventually offered her 100$ on a card upfront and told her Id wait for the drive to show and provide him with a check for the balance (meanwhile Im supposed to get 14 days to pay) I asked to speak to the boss who she put me on hold to discuss this matter multiple times and he wouldnt get on the phone with me even though I could hear him in the background. I recorded all my conversation as I knew they would try to pull one over on me. I wish them luck trying to take the tanks from this property without a phone call from the owner of this appalling company with an apology. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY.

I called today to have my reg oil appointment moved up a few days.I thought i would run out if i didnt do that.They delivered the oil within 1.5 hrs !!! How can u beat that?? Depew energy is by far the best oil/propane supplier in the area ! They have helped me when I was in a jam and always treat me like family. The service is quick and friendly and I recommend them to all !!!

Terrible business practices. I have been buying oil and propane from them for over 3 years. I spend several thousand dollars with them last year. The thank you I get from them is unexpectedly charging us for 2 years of propane tank rental fees. No phone call. They sent an invoice with no explanation. Then charged the credit card 2 days later. When I called the office I asked Danielle Depew to talk to the owner. She told me that he doesnt return calls on the weekends. She finally called me back on the Tuesday. She offered to eliminate one of the years charges. I again told her all I wanted was to speak to the owner... She said that was unreasonable. So I let it go. Today I started service with Main-care. I called Depew again to tell them I wanted to discontinue service with them. Again Danielle Depew told me 3 times I was a very unreasonable man. I guess trying to go with a local family run business was a poor decision on my part.

Depew Oil has always been fair, friendly and helpful to us. Have been with them for close to 7 years and never had any sort of a problem. They consistently have some of the best prices in the area, and their automatic deliveries have been timely. Highly recommend them.

Its unfortunate it has to come to this but I would definately think twice before using this company. If you dont pay within 14 days of delivery they debit whatever account is on file without permission. On one occasion they were paid in full and didnt deliver until almost two weeks later. The next time they were paid in full and we ended up running out of propane. We called them and the only way they would deliver was by charging us an additional $225. They have no regard for their customers.

Our furnace was 20+ years old. We needed a new one. Not only is our new one great, but the tech who came out was friendly, did a nice clean job and was thorough in testing it to make sure we were up and running.GREAT COMPANY AND AWESOME SERVICE!!

I read the reviews and I didn’t really care because I’m the type of person that gives second chances and I really support local businesses but after calling in today to ask questions about being a potential customer I was treated very poor over the phone, their was no lack of interest and gave me very short answers so I was done asking more questions.

First tried porco because their tanks were here at our new place. they were kind of rude, mentioned extra charges right away, and didnt seem serious about filling our tanks/making us happy customers. needed my social security number and bank account info.called depew, no extra charges mentioned, no SS#/bank info needed, very friendly and interested in doing business with us. set up an appointment, called that day and came EARLY. the 2 guys here were awesome, friendly, and through. waved a $160 set up fee. tanks filled the next day in the AM.GO DEPEW OR GO HOME

Very rude!! Was trying to get oil for my apartment and had been told that they only do 100 gallons lowest. That was okay, but since I needed 50 gallons I asked why I couldnt get that, not pressuring them at all, I was already going to buy the 100 gallons. The lady on the phone yelled at me saying its not worth their time and I abruptly hung up. I called back looking to speak with a manager of the company which the customer service manager said shes the only one in charge and only person to speak to, which I dont believe to be true. Just very horrible experience.

Im not one to write reviews. In fact, this is the first negative review I have ever written. That pretty much explains how disappointed I am.My problem is not with the technicians. Both guys that came to my house in the last week were very respectful.My problem is with management & how you deal with an upset customer who pays you a lot of money throughout the year - in oil alone.This past Monday I had my furnace serviced prior to leaving my house that night for 5 days to visit family for Thanksgiving. When we retuned home on Saturday evening we immediately turned the heat on for the first time since getting serviced 5 days prior. Within 10-20 minutes we hear a loud noise from our garage (furnace is located) & water running. Upon entering the garage there was water on the floor all around the base of the furnace & a strong smell of acid.I immediately put two & two together & came to the conclusion that this must be linked to a bad service conducted on Monday. This was the first time Ive used my heat since being serviced & now all of the sudden it breaks? It was working fine before. What a coincidence.So, I called Depew around 6pm on Saturday night & explain my situation. Seeing as I was pretty convinced it had to be linked to a mistake made during my last service, I didnt even inquire about what their after hour labor rate, nor did the receptionist ever tell me.The tech arrived & comes to the conclusion that I needed a new Expansion Tank, Relief Valve & Air Vent. Turns out that this is not related to the service that was provided on Monday. OK, thats fine. Stuff breaks. That is not what I am upset about. What I am upset about is that they charged me their after hours labor rate which is about $150 more than their standard labor rate. If I had known this I would have just waited until Monday & had them come fix it then. I can go 1 day without heat. I have electric heaters. There was a lack of communication.I called the office today to explain my situation & ask if they could please change the labor charge to the standard labor rate. I have no issues paying for stuff that breaks, but not ridiculous labor rates that I was not made aware of. The receptionist said she would call me back & let me know. About 3 hours later she calls me back & says she talked it over with here boss & owner & they wont change the rate. They said they spoke to the receptionist I called on Saturday night & she says that she did discuss the after hours pricing with you.... Really? So youre calling me a liar now? Thats insulting...Im not sure if there was a break down in communication from the receptionist to the owners or if my issues was just relayed to them incorrectly, but this is silly. If you, as the owner & manager of Depew oil cant help your customers with issues like this where information was not conveyed to them correctly, you have a problem.I am a loyal customer - I just signed up for a service agreement with you last week & I get all of my oil from you. Do the right thing... Dont lose a life long customer over $150.You can call me anytime.

WARNING!!!!WARNING!!!!WARNING!!!!!SCAM SCAM SCAMRecently, I purchase oil from Depew. My first time dealing with them. After the oil delivery was made, there was a problem with the furnace. I called Depew because we just purchased from them and maybe it had something to do with that purchase. I was not home when the service tech came to the house. My wife called me concerned that the tech had been in his truck for 30 minutes after spending and hour in the basement.I arrived and inquired as to what he was doing. He responded that it took him an hour to remove a filter. He could not get the filter off and he cut the line to remove it (it does not take and hour to do this, maybe 20 minutes). Then he went to his van to get a new valve for the filter, which took him 40 more minutes to find in his van (when I looked in the van it was like a tornado went through it, and thats why he could not find a simple valve). The tech then told me the line was clogged, so he used a hand pump. When only mist came out he said Ive been doing this for 21 years and this means you need oil.He called Dave Depew who told him I must have a hole in my tank. The tech came back and told me I need a new tank. However, the tech then still tried to use the furnace to pump up oil from the tank, which burned the motor on my furnace. Now I am with a tank with a hole in it and a burned out motor on my furnace. Thats when a sales person showed up to sell me a new tank for $2500. It took the tech another hour to replace the motor. I said no to the new tank and the tech hooked up a 5 gallon can of oil, which took another hour (at $125 and hour $590 total).I call Depew to complain about the time management of the tech and that I should not pay for him to fix the motor he burned out and for the time he could not find the valve. I handed my cell phone the tech who put it on speaker phone. And thats when I hear Dave Depew say to the tech Why did you tell the customer that it was you that burned out the motor, we could have charged him for that. (SCAM ALERT)The next day I returned the 5 gallon bucket and spoke to Dave Depew about the experience. At which point he held up his hand while I was in mid sentence and stated I looked up your account and you are a new account so why should I care about these problems. Im in this business for the money. At that point, I turned and walked out.I went to Antonellis Oil explained what had happened and they said that Im probably out of oil. With in the hour an oil delivery was made and they undid the mess that the Depew tech left behind.

They came out and installed a propane tank for my home. The two workers did a great job and went above and beyond what was expected of them.

Site states business closes at 4:30 pm, Im there at 4:10 to get 2 grill tanks filled and they said they were closed..false advertising should be illegal. I will be taking my business elsewhere!

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Charged my card for a delivery at an adress i do not have and then told me they have to get payment fron the person who lives there before they can refund it. Then after getting payment now tell me they will not refund the charge because I said I should just dispute it. Thats not at all how things work. Buyer be warned the administration at this company has zero customer service skills and now I have to dispute a charge, Go through the BBB and attorney general simply to correct the mistake they made and make sure they dont do it to others. Thats seems to be the war DEPEW energy handles themselves.

Dont bother . The oil is bad !! Got 150 gallons back in October . The oil we got had water and sludge in it . We had to have our strainer and filters cleaned 3 times and the furnace wouldnt fire up correctly. Finally we got through that 150 gallons after restarting the furnace no less than 12 times . We purchased the next time (at a more repeatable firm ) and that fixed the problem . The furnace sounds good again !! What a nightmare !!!

I put a 1 star so I can leave a review. The guy there is RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL!!! He was calling me names and told my husband to get a JOB, mind you he has one, because we were late on our $180 bill which I paid today. Now, he refuses to fill my tank until I pay $480 for the next fill up. I have NEVER paid that to fill my tank. Telling me he is going to turn my service off today one of the coldest days of the year, mind you I have 3 kids. I am calling the BBB and my local paper, that is NO WAY to treat ANYONE, let alone your customers.

Been dealing with Depew Oil company for years now all of a sudden they want to change my oil tank (which had been inspected by my furnace installer 5 yrs ago) also change my whole vent pipe system instead of just cutting in a new air vent. Bunch of crooks and scammers.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! !!

The people who answer the phones here are generally rude and mostly sound like insolent teenagers when trying to explain things. The owners wife is a real piece of work as well. Ive heard her tell a cancer patient who needed fuel sorry youre sick but its not my problem.I think that speaks volumes about this business.

No stars they came and took my tank with no notification and no cause to take my tank bills were paid on time. According to them through a disagreement they had with the landlord that was separate from my account depew energy company and now I have no cooking gas to make a meal from my 5 Kids. They suck and no one should work with them anymore.
