Cant explain it but I love this place. Excellent produce selection. Very good bakery. Fantastic coffee selection too. The country store part is always fun and they have surprisingly cool kitchen stuff. Amazing candy selection. Its relatively expensive for typical grocery items but overall worth the trip.

Adams has the best quality and variety of fresh produce in the area. There is less variety in some of the other areas of the store but the quality is consistently high.There is no shortage of tempting treats throughout the store. I have yet to try their hot food or pre made meals but they looks delicious from their pizza to their international platters. The garden center is lovely. The staff are super friendly as well.As with most great things, shopping here does come at a price (literally). My grocery bill is sometimes triple here and I leave with less in my cart but what I get is well worth the price. This isnt my everyday grocery store but its my favorite.

Heather and the team in the floral section did an absolutely beautiful job with our wedding flowers!! I went to them very last minute (about 6 weeks before my wedding) and they were able to make the most beautiful bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids at SUCH a great price! We also ordered several “fun bunches” which made for beautiful centerpieces! We would recommend them to anyone looking for wedding flowers!

I love browsing and shopping here. They have the best fruit and veggie selection! Lots of plants and a lovely gift shop, candy shop etc! Some things are a little expensive but always good quality!

I love this place; its expensive but there are really great deals on local items if you know where to look. Reliable when you want to serve something to impress your guests or find the things you cant find at chain grocery stores. You will find all of the ingredients you need for that Bon Appetit recipe. Tip: crowds of unmasked people coughing like crazy, double mask or wear one with a filter pocket - esp if youre going on a Saturday!

Awesome store with great selection of non standard grocery store items. You will pay more money than other grocery stores but the quality is well worth it.

This is my first visit since I left the area 10 years ago. I loved their cheese section stocked with international and domestic cheeses. The mums were in great health and beautiful. Many colors to choose from. I fell in love with the bakery as with the sweet shop. It is apple season so fresh and attractive apples on sale!

Kingston, Poughkeepsie & Wappingers locations are all 5 🌟 Definitely recommend shopping at Adams for everything fresh - fruit, veggies, meat, fish, baked goods, chocolates, cheese. The garden section is great also. The lil pizza place is fabulous. I love the fresh ground coffee.I have an 8 month old baby and Im really particular about what I feed her, no jar food since most baby food contains arsenic, lead, mercury & cadmium (dont believe me - Google it). So, I make her food - everything is fresh and organic. It can be hard to find a large variety of organic food at other grocery store but Adams comes through for me.My must haves are always a bunch of organic fruits & veggies, wild caught salmon and fresh ground coffee ☕😋☺

If I could snap my fingers like Thanos in Infinity War, I would make it so that Adams were the only kind of supermarkets there are: Great selection, friendly staff, great prices.

Adams is the premium market in the area. An entrance on 17K and 300 makes for convenient access. Excellent selection of specialty goods including organic, gluten free, and local options. Bread and much more are baked fresh daily, the meat department has a diverse offering including less common items such as duck and goose, an incredible cheese nook, fresh seafood, and plenty of options for prepared foods. All departments will prepare orders in advance, and they are always well staffed, so dont be afraid to call ahead and ask if they have the unusual things you might be looking for. The flowers from the in-store shop have lasted me over two weeks and my daughter was delighted to get a rose clipping and balloon from our stop there. Dont miss the candy shop which has everything from local fudge, to German marzipan.

A wonderful market! Stopped in while traveling through the area in hopes of finding Empire apples. They had them! Also bought South Carolina peaches. Great prices. We ate lunch from the hot bar. Excellent food. Hope to be back again sometime.

On par with the other Adams Ive been to. Nice selection of local/organic foods. Healthy gardening and maintenance sections.On the downside its very difficult to find a lot of mainstay brands or products...and the prices are a bit high. In context only 4 Adams exist, so of course its going to be a bit more expensive than larger chains, but when added with the limited selection I mentioned just prior, Ive often found myself coming to this company for a specific/small assortment of things, and finishing up at the nearest Stop & Shop etc.

Adams has a great selection of seafood meats pre-cooked food is a great store what really surprised me was I bring my own bags and they gave me $0.05 back on each bag keep up the great work Adams youre a super store

Their vast selection of produce featuring many local growers makes Burkes quote easier to live by. Pricey, but again, you can either pay the farmer now or the doctor later.

Was in the area and decided to check out Adams. Had a wonderful experience. Their selection of products, plants, Gifts and chocolates is delightful.

All the adams stores are cool. I deliver to each one of them. There food coffee and baked goods are very good quality. If I lived in this area that would be my go to for sure!

Upscale gourmet supermarket. Although Hot Bar needs new menu offerings better cooks somewhat bland food!!! Could really learn a thing or two from the whole foods prepared foods model. This seems to be the problem at all of Adams locations. Although the pizza shop is good and should be expanded to all of the Adams locations!!!

They have a big variety of foods to choose from. I love the fresh fruits and vegetables, the soup, fresh baked breads, pastries, garden shop. For a change of pace, I shop at Adams.

Recently, my wife and I got married and we used Adams floral department for the arrangements. Kim personally helped us create a vision of what we wanted and went above and beyond to see to it that we had everything that we wanted. She was knowledgeable, professional, and personable in every encounter. The centerpieces, bouquets, arch flowers, and cake flowers were exquisite and was extremely cost efficient. We so appreciate everything Kim was able to do for us!

Nice grocery store with fresh produce, great breads/pastries, and a good selection of hard to find foods. Only issue Ive ever had is the egg section...it is overstocked a lot of the time, and this leads to the tops of the cartons having too much weight, so cracked eggs are common.

My Boyfriend ordered me a basket seeing I was in the hospital ! He was excited knowing I love nuts and chocolate ! I received the basket and it was all nuts, trail mix not one candy bar !! In the picture it shows assorted nuts and candy bars with nut / fruit in them !! I love Adams but if the picture and description says you are getting nuts and things with nuts in them that’s what you should receive !! I understand some things will be different but the picture is completely different then what I got !!

Come to this location in a given afternoon and you are overwhelmed by very good smells. These smells emulate from the bakery and sometimes doing certain Seasons they have scented flowers that make the store smell good. The food is fresh the store is bright and Airy. I really like shopping here when I have the extra money.For lunch they do have hot foods, and there are different varieties. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic they do not have the open bar anymore.

Adams quality has suffered over the years. At one time it was comparable to Stew Leonards but not any longer. Their produce is usually sketchy at best and the produce buyers for the store must be asleep at the switch. Their beef is a hit and miss proposition - dont mind spending more for quality meats but as of late their meats have been run of the mill - plus side is their bakery items are usually fresh and their deli and cheese sections are quite good . Staff is always helpful and the cashiers are generally personable and efficient. Bigger isnt necessarily better and Adams needs to return to the roots of what made them successful originally.

I love this store. Produce is always fresh, they sell Bell & Evans organic chicken, fish selection is the best, and alot of special items to select from. Most important is the friendly and helpful staff.

I usually like Adams & will take the 30 minute drive just to see whats new. I bought a head of lettuce on my most recent visit. I went to make a salad & the ENTIRE head was brown all the way through. Food is too expensive to end up in the trash

I normally love this place. But I bought organic fruit here recently which was moldy throughout when I cut it open. I misplaced my receipt and did not think to take a pic of it. However, I went to customer service and explained. They gave me another cantaloupe--which I informed the woman at customer service that all of them looked weird at the time. And by weird, I meant, rotting. She stated that if it was bad, just come back for my money. I noticed the price had dropped from $6-7 to $4.49...probably because they were rotting. I paid either $5.99 or $6.99 for a CANTALOUPE. Why? Because I wanted fruit free of pesticides and GMOs. I got mold both times. This time, the mold started from the outside with white spots--just overnight. That means, it was already bad. Still, the second one wasnt as bad--it had white spots throughout which is what happens before the black and gray mold sets in...but still not worth risking a bad tummy-ache. In the trash it went. I didnt even bother going back for my money. Talk about disappointed...never expected this from Adams.

Adams has to be one of the most overrated stores in the Hudson Valley. They do sell local products, but its extremely expensive worst than Whole Foods prices. The grocery section is pathetic - tons of garbage foods found in any other store for triple the price. Bakery nothing special - they use typical cheap ingredients, such as artificial food coloring and high fructose corn syrup. Deli - Same old boars head found everywhere in the area.Fruits/veggies its OK. They do have local fruits and veggies from the farms when they are in season, which is nice. Out of season prices are extremely expensive especially for organic...Very weak sales. Whole Foods has way better organic fruits/veggies for half the price.For the quality or lack of its extremely expensive. So overrated.

The plant section is great. The hot food section I would recommend staying away from since I just got what I think is a Cheese Steak.

Great place to find clean food. Its pricey, but not dying from polluted food, and keeping your mental faculties is priceless, no?Dont get me wrong, you can certainly buy unhealthy food here, but its you going to their custom confectioners area and trying their mouthwatering chocolate treats.Or, maybe you get messed up and stable into their bakery only to faze upon the dieters dillema of diabetic delights.Alas, you cross through to vegetable and fruit land, promising you cleaner carbs and healthier sugars while you cut across to buy a cup of coffee at the in-store cafe.Vegans cut straight to the back corner of store to find faux cheeses and other guilt free alternatives.

My wife did not let me buy the plant that I wanted. 😔 Other than that it was great as always.
