This is hands down the best Home Depot Ive ever been to. Normally I spend way too much time trying to find what I need, hoping to find someone wearing an orange apron to ask for help, only to have them act like theyre doing me a favor to answer my questions. Not here! Everyone is friendly, makes eye contact, is knowledgeable, and actually takes you to the products or at the very least says exactly where in the aisle you can find what you need. From start to finish theyre professional and courteous. This is how all Home Depots should be.
I am a contractor who buys a lot of materials from different Home Depots in different areas, and the Newburgh Home Depot is one of the most disorganized I have seen. Today for example I went to buy sheetrock of 1/2 x 8Fts. X10Fts. And x 12Fts. And other things, when I went to the area of the sheetrock I noticed that it was full of wood, fences etc. etc. This is very frequent in this home depot (They block the materials because they do not order things), since they leave them piled up as soon as they pass the front door. I asked a store employee to please help me to move all those things, because they were blocking the sheetrock that I needed at that time, the employees response was -THIS IS NOT MY AREA, LOOK FOR THE ONE WHO WORKS IN THIS SECTOR- After many attempts to seek help (which I did not get) I had to move all the materials that blocked the sheetrock of 10 and 12 Fts. Another problem is that in the case of the sheetrock (all the time) it is damaged on the sides. When I was finally able to get the materials that I needed and after paying I started looking for an employee to give me a hand, because there is an associate designated to help load materials in the parking lot (I didnt say with this employee).I dont like leaving bad references and burning a business, but it happened to me many times at the home depot in Newburgh.
Went to this location to purchase 2 pieces of boards, I received assistance immediately on the floor, the gentleman assist me, I gave him the measurements and he cut both boards correctly ..Got home tried each boards and it was a fit..I was definitely a satisfied customer
Sent in my request for curbside pickup on 8/23/2021 20 minutes to six, the email said getting your order ready to bring out, I sat in my vehicle for 40 minutes, no one brought my order out. I called the service desk to inquire about my order and the woman responds with well its after six and I dont have anyone to bring out your order.....really I got here before six asked for curbside before six and yes Im calling you way after six because no one brought me my order.....i absolutely hate Newburgh home depot not only do they have horrible customer service but whenever Ive been in the store for something and asked for help they (1) employees can never be found or (2) their reply is I dont know. WAY TO GO HOME DEPOT, ILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU AGAIN!!!!!
This home depot has it all. It has a LARGE variety of Milwaukee tools and equipment. This place is where my boyfriend and I go to when we feel like the one we go to just isnt enough.
Seriously, pick up your phones. It just rings and rings! Especially the Kitchen Design Consultation area.Also, I put in an order for pickup. It was sheetrock. They gave me busted up sheetrock. Take some time and care for your customers and products. Not all of us are a holes!

I went here because I needed to replace my portable air conditioner. There was a very nice gentleman associate that help8 me locate the air conditioners and even helped me place it on the cart. Ive gone here before for many things and Im never disappointed.

I love home depot. The Newburgh ny store is awesome but customer service is starting to slack. People used to seem really happy to help me now more often than not I feel like I am bothering someone if I ask them for help
Home depot keeps a better inventory than Lowe,s. Also neater isles.
We found one employee who was very helpful. Check out was also fine. The quality of the lumber was terrible, and the store quite frankly was a mess. It was very difficult to find the things that we needed.
It was very hard to find aly to help you it was labor day and alot of the staff called out. I only know this because the employees told us.
Be careful buying additional items for a job because what’s not used may not be able to be returned. NOT EVEN FOR STORE CREDIT TO PURCHASE MORE ITEMS. I frequent this store and probably spend 10-20k a year there. Had some items left over from a bathroom remodel and didn’t think I needed to keep every receipt along the way because I’m okay with having store credit to use on the next project. Well I was WRONG. Got declined for my return of $550 dollars. They use a 3rd party company to approve returns, if for some reason they feel ur return could be fraudulent, they decline it and your stuck with the items! Even the manager said it’s beyond his control and couldn’t offer any help. For a repeat customer that spends a lot of money with this establishment this is UNACCEPTABLE. BUYER BEWARE
Here’s an update on my kitchen cabinets, it’s been almost 4 months since I placed my order and three months of waiting from the expected date that we were supposed to receive them we did receive an email from them that we should expect them on the 11th of June or sometime next week thats not a definite date, hopefully, they dont send us another email changing the date will keep you updated, heres the email that was sent

This is the worst Home Depot Ive ever visited. Its filthy, unorganized, and there were unstocked pallets and merchandise all over the floor in the aisles which I had to maneuver around just to get to the product I was there for. There were none on the shelves and the website had said there were many in stock so I asked an employee, who had me get a customer ladder and get it down from the upper shelves myself. Also in the flooring department the 2 associates just stared at myself and another couple and ignored us for 10 minutes while they chatted with each other and didnt even acknowledge our presence.

Place was packed and not so many associates.. they had what I needed but there was a price discrepancy and trying to get it rectified was tough..

They always have what youre looking for, just hate to wait to have someone help me find it. It helps to use their website bc it will tell you the exact aisle and section the item youre looking for is in.
Came here to get some stuff for the bathroom and I appreciated the fact that I was immediately helped by someone. No matter how busy I can never say I had trouble getting help with what I needed. The workers are informed and very assisting.

I have had terrible luck with curbside orders but on-site, its exactly what you would expect and the staff is friendly.
There are not nearly enough employees staffed each day. On the off chance you can find one they either aren’t knowledgeable about basic home improvement items or give you the sense that you are annoying them.

Xmas trees are on sale now. Definitely lesser expensive than other places. I wish they had tap services for their credit card terminals. More convenient and safe during the Pandemic. Over good experience. The employees are friendly and helpful.

I went in two buy two storm doors. I had a few questions then needed help finding the right one. I stopped by the desk to get help since no one was around to help me. They guy that was directing the lift was the door guy. He was more interested in guiding the lift than helping me make a purchase. He didnt help find the door just said they didnt have that one and would have to order it then asked me to move out of the isle so they could move some pallets. Didnt even offer to place an order for me just walked off. After being allowed back in the isle spent the next 20 minutes finding the doors I needed by myself. Very poor customer service.
I went to this location because I was trying to recaulk my tub. The product I ended up getting was defecting in some way so I had to return it. The staff was so incredibly nice and helpful and pointed me in the direction of a better material. My tub is finally sealed up and I’m happy. I really hope management knows and appreciates their staff because it’s hard to find pleasant help like that.

Just bought a house and went to look at flooring but ended up at kitchens. I didnt get the flooring but I did pick cabinets which are very nice. Since I had to order some online the associates at customer service have been very nice. They arrive at the store I get notified and I call when I pick them up. Usually a young very helpful guy named Charlie gets them ready and helps me load. Thank you Charlie for going that extra step, good guy you h as bbn e there HD!
Needed blinds cut .. nobody could track down anyone who worked in area for over and hour and customer service spent 30 mins on one person with huge line behind .. this Home Depot is a mess will be going to Lowe’s from now on .. spent two hours in this place trying to find someone to cut one blind
For a chain store it isnt bad but every store is reflected by its employees and sometimes its better experience and sometimes its not.
Staff not very helpful! Asked an employee where the curtains rods were, he pointed to the aisle and said up there, and walked away, he wasnt helping anyone else. I stood up on top of a box to grab it myself, I would think twice before I go here again. Lowes is much better.

It tells you everything you need to know about this corporation that they regularly make a whole line of builders with large purchases wait in line 15 minutes while they us the contractor checkout to try to sign someone (buying a $5 item) up for a credit card. How many good local hardware stores or lumber yards were run out of business so that Home Depot can sell us debt instruments?

If you order pickup. Dont leave or let them walk away without checking what they gave you. Employee brought my hardware out to me and tossed it in the back of the vehicle. I had to get out to retrieve it and found every single item was incorrect.

Great store for building materials, hardware and tools
Saw a portable AC in the front that they said was used but nothing was wrong with it. It was 490 dollars. I asked if they had cheaper ones in stock and without looking, said they did not. Walked literally 30 feet to left and they had portable units that were over 100 dollars cheaper and they had about 10 of them. And the guy got mad when I said i didnt want to sign up for the home depot credit card.
I had an ongoing issue with a item purchased online that was supposed to be shipped to my home. The item ended up being lost in travel. As 30days approached i called Newburgh Home Depot as the tracking said to do and i was transferred to Lyn one of there supervisors. I cant emphasize the professionalism, and outstanding customer support she provided to me for this frustrating issue. The frustration is completely forgotten due to her efforts to ensure i was OVER satisfied. 100% asset to Homedepot. Im very pleased, and confident with any future purchases. I went in looking for a shovel and couldnt find one, I asked an associate for help and he came back with 2 of them. Both were used that day bc of the snow storm we had. One had spray paint all over it and the other one had a few dings at the bottom. So I asked him the price and told him that they both looked to be as if they were used. One was beaten up looking and the other with paint all over it. So he then turned around and gave me a 15% discount on the shovel. The original price was $25 but once I got the discount it came out to $23. I should had gotten it alot cheaper. But I wasnt in the mood to travel to other stores looking for and there shovel.

They were out of snow shovels, so I had to buy a regular metal shovel. It worked out better for me because there was ice and the metal shovel helped me break it.

I recently moved into a new house and am in and out of HD buying supplies and every single time I go Annette Lugo is eagerly helping someone figure things out at the register. Ive watched her patiently help people no matter how dumb questions are. I just hope she is shown appreciation and good compensation for her work. Id hire her in a NY minute. I love HD in general but the Newburgh store is the worst. Inventory is scattered all over, more stock outs than I can count. Only a fraction of staff on the floor compared to other stores. The staff is friendly and helpful but no where near enough of them.
Decent pricing but curbside pickup is hit or miss. This time was a miss. Just go in an get your order. It will save you aggrevation
Issues with picking up items not there. You order on line using the store inventory, pay and find you order has been cancelled because lack of product. Now you need to check other stores for your items cancelled. But you used your 10% off and cannot use it again. I lost 85.00 in discount as items were not in stock but you cant use the coupon again. I was at 3 places trying to find all the items I needed.

I only go for the Husky tools. They dont always allow my veterans discount. Depends on whos working the register. Lowes never has a problem though.
Storing the water softener salt after you pay as you exit the store makes no sense as you have to carry the heavy bags back into the store there has to be an easier way to do this. Maybe move to the entrance and leave carts outside? I dont know the answer just need a better way.
Staff was courteous and helpful as well as knowledgeable. Had what we needed in stocks and were quick to assist.

It’s my third time at this location and the service is awful. Order pickup & return section is a joke. All the employees who work at both section needs to replaced or trained expeditiously. They either talking to each other not paying attention or on the phone. Get some grown folks with experience and respect. I would rather drive extra miles to the Home Depot in Wappingers Falls or Fishkill to be respected and smiled at. This location is a NO NO. Never again

I hate coming to this location, the customer service is a joke, the service in general is awful. Ive done in-store pickups and they completely have the wrong item, and then question whether Im right or not, what? Just today alone, the service representative at the registers didnt even treat me like a real customer, and just dismissed me without even so much as having a conversation about an out of stock item. Unhelpful, disorganized, and it hasnt changed in years. If it wasnt for having a Home Depot credit card Id probably not even come to this location, because its without question the worst in the Hudson Valley.
My go-to place when I have to fix or replace anything. Between YouTube and Home Depot these are my best friends these days. LoL 😂
