Came in right before they close at 5pm on Saturday. The crew were still working diligently. One of them stopped working and quickly guided me to find the mounting screws I needed. Great customer service.
Fantastic customer service - as always. Ask for Garret - hes incredible!I bought a water cooler there a few months ago, which started making noise (bubbles in the line). After trying a few remedies at home, I brought it back. It was past warranty, but they worked with me to help me find a replacement and they took great care of me as a customer. This is why I spent a few more bucks to come in person and buy from a local shop, rather than one of the online retailers when it comes to my PC parts.Definitely recommend!
Great service and customer satisfaction. The service associates are very helpful, explaining the pros and cons of what I was trying to purchase. I mistakenly purchased a computer component that did not fit, and they were nice enough to let me exchange it for a fitting part.
Very good at customer service, tons of computer and phone accessories.
Great place with lots of choices! Well stocked with good customer service.Credit accepted with free parking lot
Second time being here got to say the guys there know what theyre doing excellent service great and knowledgeable experience
Nice and friendly staff and such a variety of equipment I cant believe it never going back to the big box stores.
This store isnt just computer stuff. They have the coolest little gadgets and a ton of things for traveling, every cord you can think of and lights and what else do you need? I found everything I needed in there and I didnt even plan on finding everything all in one place. Very friendly people, prices are great and they do computer stuff of course. Very knowledgeable. Thanks loved it!
Central Computers summed up in one word; Godsend. Their Newark California location is in local proximity to a hotel I frequent when in town for business. They helped me out a few times when my laptop was in need of repair. Not only for a fair price but also in a timely fashion. This has become my go-go computer shop.
Very nice and clean store for computer peripheral needs. Sales associate was very friendly and knowledgeable who guide you to buy right parts for you projects.Nice place to visit.
Great selection! Its like Frys and Radio Shack combined.
Need a new GPU for my computer and they had one a little over price by like a hundred dollars but I get it for the time we are in with the chip shortage. Seen places with much higher prices. But shame on anyone trying to mark up in a time when people need items and mark up to make more off the common man.
Been here loads of times to buy motherboards, CPUs, SSDs, pretty much the whole PC component shebang. They have everything, and have a really friendly and helpful staff thats willing to help with everything. Not only do you get a full brick-and-mortar PC shopping experience, but you also get to support a local business. Overall great experience, will recommend to friends.
I went to buy some accessories which isnt there specialty I picked up some ear buds looked at wireless chargers that selection wasnt great. But I got what I went for so 5 star for having it hassle free
I love the fries and the fact that they have not tried to jack the prices up like all other places. Thats the kind of business I will always support.
Pretty much the only option I have as far as a brick and mortar PC parts store. Luckily they have a pretty good selection.
This is a nice place for parts. But never ask them for any actual service. They will try to squeeze any amount of money from you saying that it is what you need for your computer. Honestly just try to learn how to build a computer yourself because they will try to get the most amount of money from you.
Cool place, needed a new monitor, lots of models on display. Some problem with a lot of stores is that pricing is a lot higher than online but this one keeps prices very similar to Newegg or Amazon. Only issue is that not every box has pricing and there is no price sheet so gotta look for a different box of the same model that has a price on it
Love this computer parts store. Everytime I go to find a part, or accessories they have it on hand. Caring and concerned employees always there to help find what your looking for. Great customer service.
Competent sales and service staff to assisted and address your computer and electronic needs. Competitive prices!
Very helpful and understanding staff here!
I usually dont do this but this time is worth it. Good attitude on the phone and helpful comments plus being open made me feel like the problem with my PC had a good chance of being solved & it was so I left a happy customer, reasonable too & it was a quick fix. This store has been there a long time but Ive never had to go there.
These guys are absolute pros with computer service and repair! Turn-around time is generally very fast! Theyre professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The prices are also very competitive and they stand behind their work. Hardware prices are also very competitive! Personally, Id much rather buy from an actual person than online whenever possible. Theyve worked on several higher end machines for me and Im always thrilled to deal with them! Today I dropped off a Dell XPS for a wipe and fresh Windows install. I also purchased a Webcam for my sons online school. BTW, theyre the only shop within 30 miles of Fremont that has Webcams in stock!! I tried 3 Best Buys and both Target, Walmart in Fremont with no luck. Thankfully, Central Computers has the in stock and the prices are GREAT!! Im a repeat customer and will continue to be one! Thanks Central Computers team!!
I did purchase computer power cords here, and salesmen is nice to answer your questions.
Nice to still have a place to pick up pc parts and stuff...i needed a little help picking a psu, was set on an EVGA but they knew their stuff, and my CPU + GPU combo had issues with the particular psu....i would never had known, they even showed me the notice on EVGA site and got me hooked up with a psu that suited my system
Good place to get any kind of computer part that you need are built a complete computer
Everyone was very helpful. They took the time to explain the differences between the products I was comparing for purchase. I was also able to learn more about the laptop repair services that they offer. I purchased the product they ultimately recommended and I am very satisfied with my experience at this store.
I have to say that it is very nice to see they are open. I had a problem with my sons laptop, plus needed some data transfer work.Pros: they meet and greet you at the door, assistants are very friendly and knowledgeable, if you have something to fix - they take it from you and a small deposit to evaluate, called back in about a week for status (understandable since most of the work is done off-site), the have eveything you can imagine for tech and they can build you a system, and prices are set and very reasonable, ample free parking, easy to find corner locationCons: they are very busy, so wait times for getting your issue fixed could be a few weeks, tech calls you, but does not follow up after one call, calling into the store, you get a service center so be preparedOverall, I will be back for parts or service.
Pretty short wait. We didnt know that they werent really allowing people to browse through the store at this time. Given the current pandemic its completely understandable and warranted. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that that was the situation but I am unsure of whether it was something that just occurred or something that they have been doing for a while now. Nevertheless we got in line stood at our designated social distancing locations that were clearly marked at 6 foot apart or maybe just a little bit more but we (my sons and I) felt safe and were able to read the sign that gave us the suggestion to order online and by the time we got to the head of the line we informed them of our order and they went over and put our order together and we were on our way. No problem at all. They could do a better job of letting their customers know about their current situation regarding the pandemic and what they are currently doing. That would definitely streamline their business transactions (my opinion) and speed up their customers visits. This I believe would lead to increased customer satisfaction. Again it was still a very positive experience in purchasing the ram we needed and also the SSD hard drive we purchased.
Great selection of parts, bunch of gadgets and stuff, lot of hardware to choose from, nice staff
They have stock but like $400 for a 1660 super?!?
Great service fast and reliable.
Has items that are impossible to find anywhere else
Central Computers are an essential resource to the computer and business community. They are always extremely helpful and provide top notch services.
They said they had 7 RTX 3070s in stock at 3:38 pm. I got there at 4:20. They said they sold out an hour and a half ago. Apparently the guy working there has no concept of time, plan accordingly.edited: I got a call back from Chester at Central Computers who explained I wasnt lied to rather that the person at the store screwed up and apparently has difficulty telling time. Im less disappointed than when I left the store the first time.2nd edit: Im impressed, and that doesnt happen often in this world. I got a call this morning from Eric at CC. They had an RTX 3070 and after the prior fiasco they felt bad and were going to make an exception and actually hold it for me. Its rare these days for anyone to go above and beyond, to do what they said theyd do, and make good on their word. It really shouldnt be that rare but its note worthy. These guys are stand up guys. True its still $150 more than that card released at a few months ago but with all this COVID madness around us thats kind of a great deal.I kind of want to give these guys 5 stars for effort but honestly after the first experience 4 is as high as I can go.Having had another conversation with Chester I will say Central Computers seems well managed and invested in their customers and staff. The individual you deal with can obviously affect this so if you have less than a perfect experience I encourage you to speak to someone else or management. They seem to be extremely responsive and demand that the customer has a top notch experience. This is very rare in the world of big box stores and online shopping.
Super easy to work with! Built and installed a new computer for our office, that is much faster and more reliable. Very responsive and affordable...highly recommend!
Central computers is the last hope for IT guys in desperate need of same-day parts. When I am a billionaire, i will be buying them out just to make an investment in them and make sure they are around for a ling time. Please consider shopping at Central (esepcially whenever you need any kind of cable or adapter) because they also usually beat Amazon on price and they DEFINITELY beat BestBuy on price!
Has every tech thing a tech person would need to build a PC.
I used their service recently to get my computer built. I provided the components and just brought it to them. $99 flat rate without complex configuration, and without Windows install. Pretty fair I must say.I dropped my components on Saturday, and was told it would be done by Wednesday/Thursday. I called on Wednesday and was told they havent start to work on it. Then I remember they need to quarantine the parts (due to COVID) before start working, so I guess that makes sense. Got a call on Saturday that my PC was ready for pickup. Overall one week turnaround, which is pretty good.As for the built itself, I wish its more clean. One of the cables was covering the fan, and basically looks smudged in together. I ended up moving the cables around for a bit so theyre not in the way. They also sell high in demand components like the new RTX 3000 GPU, and AMD processors, but at a higher price compared to MSRP. The bad thing is you need to spend more money to buy components from them. The good news is probably youll have an easier time purchasing, since scalpers probably wont even bother.Overall I had a good experience and will come back in the future. Just missing a bit here and there that would make the experience great.
Super friendly staff :D went to buy a gpu and they told us they had 3070s in stockAlso have raffles, very fun
Good place for computer parts in a pinch. Staff is great too.
Really great selection and service. I got my motherboard and fans which are in high demand and sold out online and got it for a lower price! They have almost everything in stock which some parts are out of stock online! They even have cheaper prices for some products. They are like the microcenter of the Bay Area!
Very good selection of most popular brands. Staff os good too.
Im a long time customer, when i need parts for my laptops i come to Central Computer..
The employees were very busy but extremely organized and helpful. Mask required, your temperature is taken.
Great service, but there is a wait.
Great store and service. Sadly the website doesnt update real time and the item that was in stock was actually sold to someone else. It didnt get updated until the second day of my online purchase. Still waiting on a response to cancel my order.
Picked up parts here for two different gaming pc builds i worked on. Fair pricing friendly staff and they to seem to take covid-19 seriously, with limited browsing and a pay at the door policy, always appreciate not having to worry about safety when trying to shop nowadays!
EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable!
The best choice for those hard to find PC parts perfect for finishing up your latest build.
Almost anything I can want for my computer at good prices
Fully loaded place, got everything you could need n then some. You could probably have them order in whatever. Thankful this is by home/work. Big up to em
Great service and quick to help. I was browsing around for some computer parts and since its my first time they helped me out a lot. its a family owned business which is nice. They have a great selection of stuff and a good repair service as well. They didnt have everything I needed but they did help me find out how to get them and of they were out of stock they made sure they can get some in stock sooner than later. overall good time.
Good local store to buy computer parts at a good price.
Was helpful, attentive, and kind while on my visit. The employee who helped me answered all my questions and did so in a very easy-to-understand manner. I have to get my new laptop repaired, so i will definitely be returning here.
Had a part no one else did and at a good price. Shipped within 24 hours. Seamless!
Very professional and helpful. Even though I couldnt get my 3080
I have been buying from Central Computer in Fremont since the store first opened. Here is why;1.) Products on their shelves are good quality. No Broken Customer Returns on the shelf.2.) Helpful and responsive staff.a.) They do not push extra $ warranties on customers.b.) Staff is knowledgeable on products and current technology.b.) No commissioned sales people lurking in the for easy commission.3.) The Fremont Central Computer store location is great.
They have an interesting variety of computer accessories
Great place for geeks and nerds if thats what you call them. Me I say a great place for intelligent intellectuals who understand the wave of the future. Plus good spot to get your computer built or fixed if you cant fix it yourself. Good Store
My husband dropped by here after driving around to find a kit to fix his Samsung galaxy watch that no one seemed to have. Well he found it here and told me that they get a good rating for having something he searched everywhere for almost went to order on amazon for $30 but got it for $13.
Friendly staff, good safety precautions.
Central computers is a good place for all your computer needs. They have a good stock of general computer supplies from storage devices to cables at decent prices. The staff are quite friendly overall (bar a few as you will see below) and will attend to your needs. Now, heres why Im giving them 3 stars:I was planning on coming into the store a bit before they closed (7:30 pm) and called in to see if that would be okay with that. They literally said no, we cant stay until 7:30, we start closing down the store at 7:28, come in before 7:26. I arrived at 7:28 and indeed, they were closing down the store. I mean, seriously, you cant stay just 2 minutes for a customer? They were kind to let me pick my laptop up, though. But the two men helping me out (one of whom I suspect I spoke to) were quite rushed and a bit rude. He grabbed my credit card and asked me to sign quickly. When I told them I was a student to take advantage of the 10% discount, one of them said hes already invoiced it, say it before, next time. Dude, next time? Sorry, dont think so, at least not at this particular central computers. Pity because I actually liked this store having been a customer for a couple years.
Candy Store!!! Sherman was very helpful and got me exactly what I need after listening to my issue. I plugged everything tonight and it worked. Very convenient location and friendly staff.
Great place for building your own computer with better prices than Amazon.
This is my go-to shop for cables. By far the cheapest in town and best quality. This company makes their own cables and packages them. They also have a very knowledgeable staff if youre not too sure about the cables or any equipment for that matter. The owners are pretty rude however but the people they hire are very friendly
Great local computer shop with lots of stuff on-hand.
Inexpensive computer, electronic needs. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Lots of parking!!
Simply the best customer service in the business. Very professional very knowledgeable Huge inventory great prices
For years I have loved the service at Central Computers. They have always done an excellent job. However, Last week I took my computer in to have an operating system problem fixed. First the guy thinks it may be a video card problem, although we could see the screen just fine. A week later, he finally gets the operating system fixed, and says its ready after I bugged him several times. I go in and when I get there he still has the hardware disassembled, and has to reassemble it while I wait. I could barely understand his English, and it turns out he spent a week solving an operating system problem, and he told me the operating system still needed an update. What the heck did he do for a week?I still like Central Computers, but the next time I go, if Albert is there, I will turn around and walk out.
Why pay high prices anywhere else? This place is awesome... a must visit for anyone looking for large portable ssds, audio splitters, to anything in between.
Great local computer/tech shop. Besides all of the stuff you need to build a PC from parts they also have networking hardware (including Ubiquiti) and even maker electronics like RaspberryPi various kits. Their prices are usually comparable to the big box shops and they have stuff in stock unlike Frys. The staff is always helpful you need it and not at all pushy like some other bigger shops.
Clean and help was nice.
Had my backpack on for 30 min looked at half the store. When I got to used computer equipment took out my phone to take a few pictures of things I wanted to study up on. Was then asked to put my bag up at the front. Why 30 min after I checked out half the store? Now I dont want to go back. The store is under construction. Seems like the store was left like this on purpose for some kind of social engineering data collection. Left my sunglasses in the store one of the employees a younger man was polite and friendly when I went back to get them. They do have some neat items in the store but I wont be getting them from there based on my experience. If treated like a customer I would go back.
I had my computer built here. I stopped in for a quote and was guided and educated on the projected build by one of the associates. He was patient and thorough when answering all of my questions. I made a few changes and had been given assistance on another visit by Lars. After a couple more questions and decisions, I had them build the computer which was completed only a day later. Their knowledge, service, and speed was excellent. I will continue to go here for my computer electronic needs.
Very shady business. Built a new computer with components from here. Store did not offer a warranty on any of them. Had a very expensive component die after 33 days, just outside of their return window. Tried to negotiate a more expensive card with manager. Manager declined. Called corporate. They hung up in my face. Very upset. Will never use this business again for building computers.
My favorite local computer store. Yes its a chain but only in the bay area and each store feels like its family owned. They arent picky about payment and will happily unload all of your old gift cards with $17.36 on them. The return policy is a bit unforgiving. They carry all the bits and bobs and cables that the big computer stores wont.
Solid computer store. lots of platonic solids able to do some amount of calculations, at great speed.
This place has every cord and adapter you can think of ☺. I love my gadgets and this is where I go for all my accessories. Very knowledgeable staff. They have guided me in making the best buys from bluetooth keyboards to wireless routers etc.
A nice, neat well organized establishment. Whatever it says on the website they have in inventory, they have in inventory. I love this place, they dont have everything I need but when the website says they have it in stock they have it.
Video card was more expensive than expected
Very rude almost seem racist very very inflated prices seldom have what Im looking for. I know its not a big place like Frys furthermore I also realiZe theyre after a particular demographic far as target customers go but that only excuses so much.
Good compromise local store, decent prices, good selection of computer components and accessories, not overwhelmed with other items. Can get good advice, including custom system builds. Some of the staff is friendly, some a bit cool, but questions will get answered correctly and there is someone available to answer them. When I have a specific computer hardware need I prefer shopping here to Frys as its convenient and easy to find what I need.
Okay, depends on who helps you. Younger people helpful & attentive. Older person not so helpful. Had to return twice to get purchase straighten out. Disappointing, especially since I am not real computer savvy.
Upgraded my desktop. Knowledgeable and delivers on time as committed to. Will do business again.
This place offers a great variety of products at very competitive prices. The service is good and everyone is very helpful
Quality selection of product, friendly and helpful staff
Its a very organized storr. They have nice accessories for your gadgets. Very reasonable price!
Good knowledgeable staff helpful and not pushy
Knowledgeable staff. Competitive pricing. Things you need.
I looked at reviews and thought to give these guys a try to repair my laptop. Got my Laptop repaired and broke down after first use. I went back and they said i have to start new process again, meaning pay the diagnostic and repair again . How about $300 plus that i have already spent. They didn’t backed up the repair . I learned that they don’t repair computer, they send it to the 3rd party . came to them, thought they have reputation, i would rather trust a flea market shop over these people . And no apologies either . Watch out, i would never come back again .
The guys in there were polite and helpful and got my mothers seemingly unfixable computer, fixed in just a few days.
Great selection, decent prices, great staff
Good place to go for knowledgeable people to help you with your computer needs.
Employee helped me find everything I needed and offered multiple options of varying price points
Great selection of everything your computer could possibly need. Good prices too, and they tend to have those sold out everywhere items like GPUs, in stock, at their regular prices.
Verify knowledgeable, and helpful service.
