Best Portuguese wine store in the entire state. And the owners and staff are the nicest guys in the business. It feels like Im visiting family every time I stop by. Outstanding Portuguese wine selection. Amazing selections of whiskeys, Scotch and other liquor. And if youre a lover of Port (like I am), ask to see the special Port Room. Once you shop here, youll never go elsewhere.

This establishment is very knowledgeable of their wines, spirits, beer etc.. their stocked with every region you can think of! They accommodate nicely for all wishes and needs. The staff is friendly as well. so Drink up, responsibly of course!

We used Lisbon for a beer and wine order that they delivered to the Newark Museum for our wedding. They were great to work with, going back and forth with us to find a selection of wines and craft beer that fit exactly what we wanted. Toni and Sabino suggested some wonderful wines that were very affordable. Additionally, they were flexible about providing us the alcohol on consignment and handling drop off and pick up at the museum for a minimal fee. We are grateful that they were recommended to us and would absolutely use them for any future events we have in the Newark area.

Great service! Great owner! Only place that carries locally distilled vodka, whiskey, and gin. The owner was very welcoming and is the reason I’ll be visiting his business when I need to gift more items that make everyone Merry.

A little pricey but very clean establishment with great customer service . Parking is non existent on Ferry St so be mindful of that .

Very inflexible return policy. They started an argument that the product I wanted to return was in their opinion good. When I insisted they came up with other reasons not to take it back, such as that they couldnt find the original purchase in their systems. I ended up not buying anything and when I made them aware that I would write a bad review, they answered they do not care what I write on the Internet. Well, I guess if they dont care maybe someone else does. This store can definitely use some staff with basic people skills such as friendliness and helpfulness toward customers.

There is one other liquor store on Ferry Street in the Ironbound section, but this one has the wider selection of cachaca and Portuguese wines. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Three weeks ago I came into the store and walked out with a bottle of Alambre (Moscatel de Setúbal) — on your recommendation. Well, it was a great recommendation — absolutely delicious! Especially (in this weather), slightly chilled. But the one I was really looking for (I couldnt remember the name) was Carcavelos. I still want to try it! Nevertheless, I am now a big fan of Alambre, and also of your store.
