If you have the time to WAIT 20+ MINUTES with an appointment….I’d say definitely Go here!!! The receptionist is quite rude and clearly doesn’t care about clients waiting awhile. I tried to support local businesses, but this is unacceptable only having TWO WAX SPECIALIST working on a FRIDAY!! BTW Never received a wax due to the wait time, had to return to work! Good luck sis

Loved it. I was able to book same day. I got my first Brazilian wax & I feel like a new woman. There staff was amazing from front desk to behind doors. The location is perfect. Very accessible, yet very low key. You’ll forever have a loyal costumer.

All waxers are inexperienced. Specifically asked for experience waxer and was not told that everyone is new. Left out with wax in private area and manager said she did not remember my request. Don’t go!

Great customer service.

Usually EWC girls are pretty quick but I always end up having to go to back home and tweezing a lot more hair than I should. I’ve been wanting to stop going to EWC but I bought a year pass so I stayed.I got a wax with Alissa today ( for the 1st time) and let me tell you this girl is Amazing, she’s fast but she cares for the cookie lol ! 100% would recommend her.

I had an appointment today at 11:30. Although i chose this place knowing there is never parking i always give myself enough time. Today i walked in at 11:41 and was told i would be rescheduled because of the lateness knowing that in NEWARK, NJ WE JUST SUFFERED A MAJOR SNOWSTORM AND THERE IS NO WHERE TO REALLY PARK NOW BEING THAT THE ROADS ARE NOT CLEAR. I explained to the lady at front desk i was looking for parking for 15minutes she replied “yea well its 11:41 you will be rescheduled” any common courtesy here? I wont be back!

The service was very first timer friendly! Alissa was very reassuring and ensure I was comfortable throughout my experience. The establishment is very clean and professional. I highly recommend anyone to get their waxing needs done here😊!

I’ve been going to this European Wax Center for over a year and it’s the only center I’ll go to. I’ve only had pleasant experiences here and I can’t say the same about other centers. The receptionist is very friendly! Anita is very sweet and welcoming. And my usual waxer is Shirley and she’s amazing. Today I had a new waxer named Alex and she’s absolutely amazing too! Very sweet and professional. I have zero complaints. The workers and service is wonderful from A to Z! Met another waxer! Gigi is also amazing!

Had a scheduled appointment and the doors were locked, lights off and no one answered the phone when I called twice. Very unprofessional for a business.

The Newark location is very clean and professional. Ive been going here for over two years and all aesthicians are great and very quick. They walk you through all parts of the service and ensure you feel comfortable every step of the way. They often try to upsell products but all European Wax Centers do this. I would recommend the serum for in grown hairs.

My eyebrows are 2 different shapes . I didn’t notice til i got home but she did not do a good job on my eyebrows and now i have to wait fir them to grow back. Literally are 2 different shapes and one is thinner than the other.

I decided to try out the EW in efforts to support my local community. I was extremely pleased and greeted with enthusiasm by a nice young woman and easily accommodated with an appointment within a 10 min period of walking in. Also just as pleasing was Alissa who used the perfect amount of wax. She had a gentle touch, had a great technique that left me feeling great, no friction or anything after being serviced. I appreciated Alissa so much so that I’ll be returning 😊. Way to go to this location for a great customer service experience and interaction.My visit took place on Jan 3 2020

Amazing experience every time I go. All aestheticians are amazing. Maritza has been a part of my skin regimen for the past few months and Im loving my results. Shes great! Thinner and less hair growth, and more time between my waxes than when I first began. A great decision and investment in revealing more beautiful skin.

I was skeptical about coming here, I will admit. The appearance of a European Wax Center in a primarily black city made me a bit concerned. I had been looking for a new place to get my eyebrows done and decided to try it out. Everyone, and I mean everyone inside here is very nice, attentive, and helpful. If you are a walk-in/didnt make an appointment you might have a bit of a wait but theyll tell you what time youll be seen. You can discuss what you want your wax to be like and the techs take the time to make sure theyre doing what you want. It is a bit pricey but I would absolutely recommend it if youre willing to spend a bit more.

I went there today simply because the Bloomfield wax center was over booked. And I can say the waxing experience was horrible first the reception lady when I called told me the price and I was asking why was it so expensive. She was telling me on how great the wax they use was and the quality so I told her I will try the wax there and compare it to the one in Bloomfield where I originally attend. After my experience which was very much painful than the one I’m used to in Bloomfield. there was nothing special about this wax they used on me. Matter of fact it even irritated my skin and I had so many pumps. Never had tht experience when I go to the one in Bloomfield. Never again! This wax they use here was much painful than the one Bloomfield wax center uses. Bloomfield is definitely the spot can’t beat the price also.

Shirley is amazing and gentle!!! Any apprehension or fears that you may have, she eases them!!! She is the only person that I trust to wax me!! I wish there were more stars to give her because she truly is amazing.

Pretty Kitty WHO? Dont even waste your time at other places this is my new fave spot!!!! Jennifer is AMAZING! Not only is she super quick (my Brazilian took 20 minutes tops) but she also is friendly and makes you feel comfortable. And my kitty looks ah-mazing might I add.I love the type of wax used, of course no wax is painless but this hurt a hell of a lot less than the wax strips other places use. I will be coming every month faithfully for Jennifer.

Loved it excellent staff, County members get complimentary wax free first time. Theyre cosmetic line of skin care is very very good, moderately priced and a wide selection of serums, moisturizers and exfoliants. Theyre wax is pretty gentle I got my nose hair waxed and it did not hurt. I do my own eyebrows because I do not trust anyone to do them but these people seem pretty qualified if you arent able to do your own. I recommend stopping in and getting a free wax at the least I can give them a try so can you

Please if anyone is getting a Brazilian wax done. Please do not come here to this store location Newark nj. The manager and specialist are both rude and obnoxious. I felt so uncomfortable when the specialist open the door up while I was changing to ask the front receptionist a question. I didn’t know that it was okay for the specialist who is doing your wax can walk in and out as they please while you are changing. Also I got done a Brazilian wax and I still had waxing residue all over my lady parts. This is so sad and unsanitary, I told the young lady who was doing my wax that I had wax all over me down there and she was so quick to say I should take a shower right after. if I ask for a Brazilian wax I shouldn’t have to be worrying about little residue from the wax all over my lady parts. This location has poor service, I feel so bad for whoever is funding this location.

The more you go there the higher the price get, and they don’t do a very “ smooth” job

They ran out of wax beads so the wax that was in the pot was all they had so when the pot wax was too hot, there was nothing the waxer could do. it burned my skin all over. poor planning on managements part... if they run out of wax they should honestly call everyone and tell them over the phone so the customer can decide whether they wanna come in still or reschedule. but they only care about their money, clearly. if it happens again i will never come back.

Jennifer is AMAZING. She is always so inviting and personal. I usually come at 8am and my service has always been on time. The wax is never too hot and she always make sure Im comfortable.

The place is well organized with friendly staff. I got attracted with the free waxing done when it’s your first time. I only went for eyebrow waxing but I really wasn’t satisfied with how my eyebrow turned out. I decided not to talk cos it was my first time and was free tho. And next eyebrow waxing is $21.

They have very nice there. The process is finished as soon as possible as they walk you through the process for first timers.

Been coming here for a year now but today is my last day. The best waxer Jennifer is leaving to work for the Bloomfield Wax and Skin Care Center . I will be following her to Bloomfield because she is the best aestician that they have in that place. She so friendly, down to earth, skilled, fast, and make you feel so comfortable. She made my transition from the Piscataway location to here so smooth. I wasnt even told that she was leaving. Today is her last day working here. If it wasn’t for the terrible parking here & risk of getting ticketed or towed, I’d remain here, I usually have to plan my visit around going to Whole Foods, but now go to the one in Union by Lowe’s & get waxed by my girl, Z who does extractions.

I’m gonna give this place 3 stars. Idk about anyone else but I get ingrowns here and there between waxes and I feel as though European Wax Center should offer Vagacials or something of that nature and not just products because the product that I DID buy was very ineffective to be so overpriced. And also I feel as though they should have a type of cooling agent that closes the pores back up after waxing. The customer service is wonderful though. The facilities are always clean! And always smell pleasant. The staff is always professional, although the last woman I had talked a little TOO much during my wax for my personal liking, lol. I most likely won’t be going back here. Gonna try to find a place that has what I’m looking for!
