It used to have such a huge inventory of a beautiful assortment but they stopped selling the really unique beads and fabrics and jelly rolls I use for making handbags and now theres just bundles of the same ones and strands of beads that arent as inspiring as they used to be. The prices are even worse and they dont have the sales and coupons they used to have. Overpriced and needs more variety.

This location could do a better job with organization. Ive been to many different Jo-Ann fabrics and this is the one thats near my home. When I go to other Jo-Ann Fabrics I noticed how much better they are organized. Management needs to do better with organization. A well-organized store is much more enjoyable and easier to find what youre looking for. When I talk about organization Im talking specifically about fabrics. There always seems to be a long line in this store but it is one of the only craft stores in the area.

I didnt find everything I was looking for but I did find an extremely helpful employee who told me where I could find it and gave me ordering options. She was great at her job!

Store was organized as always. Staff was pretty nice. Sales were decent. I heard a rumor that Joann fabric stores might be closing so watch out for that in the future. They might have some really good close outs eventually. But remember to bring your own bags or you can purchase some nice and pretty reusable ones near the register. I didnt know about the bags until I paid for my stuff and had to push out a cart full of yarn out to my truck. Lol

Coupons help a lot. Dont forget to check the app or website before heading to the store.Place is well enough stocked.It can get chaotic during big sales.Friendly staff, always willing to help.

Every time I come in here, its like a kid walking in a candy store. Ill be in for one thing and end up walking down all the aisles because you never know what great stuff you can come across; especially when they have great deals back-to-back. Customer service is great, there is always someone there willing to help - and who doesnt love their reward system?!? Joanns is a great place to get all of your craft needs! From yarn, to fabrics, zippers and miscellaneous other crafts. The staff is super helpful and will give you plenty of ideas for your next project.

For a big box store, its not bad. Much cleaner and more organized than it used to be. But always, be careful of the fabric quality you get here.

My wife shops there regularly for the large selection of fabrics and related sewing supplies.

I placed a order via curbside pick up. Indicated i was here for pick up. No one came out. I went inside to the first cash register who informed me I needed to get in line and wait. (Joann advertises curbside pick up at this location). I got in line and literally called the phone number and requested the manager. The manager got on the phone. No apology and was oblivious to the fact I indicated I’m right here in line (literally standing behind her) waiting and she proceeded to say very curtly “someone will be right out”. The young man ran my order outside and apologized profusely and was very kind and explained how the system takes time to update and notify of the customers arrival. He definitely has the qualities and exemplifies customer service. Unfortunately the cashier and manager need alittle bit more training in my opinion on how to interact with customers.

In the middle of remodeling so limited stock and aisles not marked accurately

Today I visited the Newark store and found the best customer service ever! They only had one of the items I wanted, so Adam took it upon himself to locate the frames and the mirror at other stores. Can you believe it; he arranged to have the frames sent to Newark from two different stores and the mirror mailed to my house. It made my day or maybe my week! Adam you are the best!!!!

Look, Joanns is great, theyre always great. It was a little crowded taking covid into consideration, but I survived. Everyone was distancing as much as possible and wearing masks. The store was clean, smelled great because Christmas! I made it out without buying tons of fabric which was new and awesome, lol. I was helped by 3 people, they were all amazing. Shout out to Lindsay for being literally the best. She was helping me with cross stitch supplies we swapped stories while I shopped and she stocked.

This is absolutely reckless policy in regards to your customers and your employees.I will avoid your store and I hope that any employees who are subject to adverse action by your management, due to protecting their own health and safety and that of coworkers and customers, can take legal action against you.

Employees are inattentive to customers. Went in to pick up an online order and stood there ignored for almost 10min until a wonderful employee (short older woman with glasses, wish I had gotten her name) asked me if I needed help, went to get my order and got me out a within like 20 seconds. First and last time going to that store.

I have been shopping here for years and each time I go the quality of service seems to be less and less. I was just there and the line was over 30 people long with 3 registers open. When I said something to customer service I was told that someone called out sick. Ok great, where is the manager? Isnt part of their job to make sure that if they dont have coverage to cover it themselves? Highly disappointed in this store. If only I could get smaller cuts of fabric online.

Fabric is spread out all over the store, they have a ton of flannel over everything else. I was looking for a specific fabric and instead of an associate walking over and showing me, they would point or say in the back corner. It took at least 10 minutes to find and it was no where near the back corner or aisle they said. And I had asked three different associates. Overall, store was convenient because its right off 95 but it was little too disorganized for me.

We went over to get my little one some fabric to create clothing for dolls. What a great selection. I think this store will be the Spring Board for my babys creativity. Aisles an aisle of art ideas! Wow!!!

Best craft store!! I will definitely return. The store was packed but the staff were on it. Immediately added cashiers and still took the time to adjust an item that was priced wrong and handled it with courteous manners. Only downfall was I spent entirely too much money because I wanted everything.

Ordered online for pickup. Got the email ready for pick-up. All the amounts were wrong as far as costs. I called the store and spoke for a bit with a manager who assured me what my credit card was charged will be correct. Those numbers are just place holders. Place holders on the emailed receipt??? What the woman DID NOT TELL me is that I should NOT use the address on the receipt as my guide for pick up. It is incorrect and they all know it. They have tried for months to get it fixed. I found that out after I drove 10 miles out of my way and called them from the rural Newark neighborhood I ended up in. When I pointed out that since I spoke with a live person, that would have been good to know. I got excuses. I havent seen the charge on my credit card yet. I anticipate I will be calling and disputing the charge. Incredibly poor customer service!

Large selection of fabric, crafting supplies and fun stuff for kids too

Its so fun to walk around and come up with ideas for projects. The selection of fabrics is astounding - so many good quality, beautiful pieces to choose from. They are good about putting put coupons too, so get the app! They have most of what you need craft-wise, though for more fine Arts supplies you may need to check another store. Be careful, Joanns is outside of time and space....when you emerge it may be the next day.

After a terrible online shopping experience where my entire order was cancelled two weeks after i expected to pick it up in store, I was only shopping here because I had a gift card. The google maps location goes to a residential neighborhood, miles away from where the store actually is.

This place always have what Im looking for. The staff is amazing and so helpful in every way. Love coming here to finish my projects. I couldnt ask for a better place. This place is super organized and clean and always well stock.

It was an o.k. shopping experience at JOANN Fabrics. The prices were reasonable and they had things available that were not at other competitors stores. The layout of the store has a nice flow to where aisles are not getting crowded or blocked by other shoppers. The employees were very courteous and helpful as well

The staff there are really nice and its easy to navigate the store! The downside is few of the registers are open at a time even when theres a line across the store. Also its not that clean and it can sometimes take forever to get fabric cut. Overall its a good store and Ive been shopping here for years.

Its a popular shop. Im making a lot of Christmas presents this year & have stopped in several times. Its always busy. Signup on your android to catch weekly/weekend discounts. Most of the staff is pleasant & professional, but I heard the store manager is not nice to work with. The fabric is quality & you cant beat the prices even shopping elsewhere online.

I love this store. This is one of the bigger Joann stores. Their seasonal decorations are beautiful! As soon as they put out a new seasons wares, they start to discount them - Love it! Every department is large and well stocked. I personally drive an hour and a quarter to shop in this store. ❤

Always find everything I am looking for

I really like this place. You can find anything here. The one thing I did not like was them telling me I could not have two cuts of fabric from the same spool. Why? I have no idea. Im making blankets out of fleece and I needed two pieces from the same spool and the lady said she could not cut two pieces for me. So I had to get another color of fleece to make my blanket. I was a little annoyed but either way it got done. I will still go back there so it doesnt matter.

I visited JoAnn Fabrics in Newark and met one of the nicest staff, named Ms. Ester. She was polite, knowledgeable and professional. She knows the machinery very well and I am looking forward to making a huge change in my sewing machinery. Overall, the store offers excellent sales for those who love to be crafty.

If you havent tried shopping online with free in store pick up, you need this service. Go on line, pick out everything you need, select in store pick up, pay. They send you an email when your order is ready. Grab and go. This is awesome. I want every store everywhere to do this. No more wandering through stores being indecisive. I can sit on my couch with a beverage and be indecisive, and let someone else put my stuff in a bag. Love it.

So i Like the store its just the google map directions send you to someones home instead of the store!... so if youre not from the area YOU WILL GET LOST! 😭So much time lost when you could just fix the directions! I was not a happy camper....so fyi, anyone not from the area...its in the christiana town center....

Went in today to look for materials to sew simple chemo beanies for myself. I went to the sewing area where two women were sitting. Let me start by saying neither one was Joy... she is fantastic and If she had been working I know my experience would be vastly different.Anyway, I approached both women and asked where their hat patterns were. The older woman who worked in the sewing area responded by saying “oh, if we have any, there over in those books. You’ll have to just look through them” and pointed to an absolutely mess of pattern books. My mom who was with me asked if she had any idea of which books to look in. She responded by saying “I don’t know, find ones that say accessories” before getting up and walking away. My mom then approached the younger girl who was sitting there and asked if she could be of assistance. She responded by telling us she didn’t even work there. Upset at this point, we said we assumed she did since she was sitting there. Her reply? “Yeah that’s a common misconception” and walked away.I’m appalled at how rude the employee was. I understand she is employed by the sewing company, but she still needs to represent JoAnn fabrics well. She was ignorant and disrespectful. Because of her I didn’t purchase any of the needed materials there.

Like this craft store... A little less items available then before, but covid has affected a lot of businesses supplies, I cant tell who works there sometimes to get help, but the staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

If I could give zero stars for this particular store I would. I placed a curbside order online and it said same day pick up when I called the store for some further info since I was driving from PA, I was told I would not be able to pick up same day and orders are taking up to 5 days. So what is the point of curbside pickup if you have to wait 5 days? For that long of a wait for same day I would just order and ship to home. Staff was also rude, would definitely not recommend this store and rethinking shopping at Joann altogether.

Picked up a gift for Mothers day

I love being here. It can be a little hard sometimes to find things, but ask any associate, and they will gladly send you or take you to the correct location. I have never had to wait too long for the cutting table, even where it is packed in there. And even when the checkout line in quite long, they do an excellent job of getting people out as quickly as possible.Always use multiple coupons (email, text, website, and snail mail), the cashiers are always willing to help you save money if they can. They have a great selection of just about anything you could ever look for. If you need help with anything, do reach out to an employee, as they will usually go above and beyond to make sure you find everything you need and are satisfied.

Garment fabric is too expensive and not enough variety. Staff is not knowledgeable about fabric.

Great place for all crafting and decorating. Only issue is they always seem short staffed. Other than that, MUCH cheaper (& nicer) than Michaels and MANY more quality options! I almost never go to Michaels now.

I have been shopping at Joann Fabrics for many many years. I have had a few experiences that were not the best but after emailing and speaking to an assistant manager she went above and beyond my expectations. I expect the prices to be marked correctly and not be given a hard time about using coupons but I had issues more than once. They have some unique items are hard to find in other local stores and due to this assistant managers understanding and assistance I will continue to shop there. Plenty of parking and a large clean with lots of fabric choices.

Its a great place to get craft materials and home goods. Fabric selection is pretty good and you can pretty much always find a good coupon on retail me not dot com. Best thing about JAF is their coupons. They always have some at the register too if you ask. Their fabric cutting desk is very friendly as well. The also do picture framing.

I absolutely love this place. They have THEEEE best holiday decor and they have the best prices!!! Just be sure to shop in the store, if you order items online they will ALLLLL arrive broken. Thats why I gave 3 stars. This is something that needs to be worked on for sure

This store is nice with a good selection of craft items, fabrics, yarn, jewelry making items and more. Though the lines can sometimes be a little long, the staff is very good at keeping the lines moving quickly while being very courteous and polite.Four stars because it would be nice to have a larger store with a larger array of selections similar to the one in Philly. That one is definitely worth the trip if you’re an experienced crafter or sewing enthusiast.

Good selection but constantly extremely short staffed- the people are nice who work here, but there are not enough employees to accommodate the volume of customers. Long, long lines that barely move and very difficult to even find an employee if you have a question. So I don’t recommend due to the lack of needed staff members and difficulty finding a person if you have a question.

I think this store has a decent selection of items. But someone is not doing their job. I ordered online to be picked up in Store with 3 items of what I wanted supposedly available. They already held the money in my account. When I got there, the items were not in their store and they could not refund my money for me to order it elsewhere for 2-3 business days. Unacceptable. You cannot hold a customer’s money for something you don’t even have! Other stores online show that they do not have it in store for you to pick up...because their inventory people have updated the information. This site needs to do the same or don’t charge until you know for sure. Customer courtesy.
