Mike Montuy from sales was so great to work with. The process of getting a new car within the same day was not pressured, fast, and genuinely cared about what I wanted. Not only was Mike kind and easy to talk to, he personally delivered the car an hour away from where they are to my home. It wouldve been difficult to get out to them so he processed everything digitally and all I needed to do was sign when he got to my house. Smooth and thoughtful experience. Highly recommend!

Service department ripped me off! I paid almost 700 dollars to do the standard 110k miles maintenance package, they drained my battery and tried to sell me replacement battery (zero problems before they took it) and now my car wont start. No tire rotation, no oil change sticker (did they even change the oil), didnt clean it, and sent me a quote of over 6k to do additional work on it. Some of the issues are real, I know, but the over charge and the state they left my car in, I can tell you they are going to try to rip you off! DO NOT GO HERE.
This dealership was a waste of time. They promised me to come in several times basically harassing me to come in and when I did, these people did absolutely nothing to get me into a vehicle. They played with their toy cars while working on the floor. Basically unprofessional during the whole time. And didn’t even show me any vehicles while I was here. They were useless and a waste of time.
I purchased a new vehicle a few weeks. Aldo assisted me and he was AMAZING. Super nice and very easy to work with. He even allowed me to drive the vehicle for 1 day just to make sure I liked it. I highly recommend this dealership. Please go see my boy Aldo if you need a new ride. He will take good care of you.
Once you sign the paperwork expect to be treated like a different person. My suggestion is to avoid this dealership and work with another in the Bay Area. They charged me for a LoJack device that was unwanted and uninstalled. Know one will answer emails or return calls to resolve the $1000 contract error.
Never seen a dealership like this, tried to make an appointment for test drive, when I arrived they told me they ran out of the car. But they told me to come a couple hours ahead of that.Have no idea how bad the management is. It’s incredibly horrible!

I am extremely disappointed with the lies that were fed to me to try and get me on the lot. I spoke with Esmeralda on the phone and several times through text regarding a VW Atlas that we had been looking at. It was a great price so we were concerned something might be wrong with it. I specifically asked her if anyone had smoked in the car. She assured me no one had ever smoked in the car. I reiterated that it would be a deal breaker if someone had smoked in the car. We were driving 3&1/2 hours with a 1 month old baby to get this car so I didn’t want my time wasted.When we got there we took the car for a test drive and there was a string citrus chemical smell that was overwhelming. I was worried it was trying to cover up cigarette smoke. I asked her again to her face if she was sure no one smoked and she said- “No! No one ever smoked in the car.”During the ride home the chemical smell started to wear off and I could smell cigarette smoke. By the next day it wreaked of cigarettes and I was pretty upset. She lied to me. I never would have purchased that car. We have done everything and tried all the tricks of getting rid of that horrible smell but so far it is very prominent and I am just so annoyed that she lied directly to my face- several times! I Would never ever buy a car from this dealership again.
Went in to buy a lug key for one that was lost. I was told they werent available but they were happy to sell me a new lug key along with four new locking lugs for a hundred bucks. I said no thank you and went home and ordered what I needed on Amazon for $8
Saddened by my experience here.To be fair, Kelly Siu was fantastic. Our experience with her was great.Esmeralda was short with us, lost her temper and upset my wife.For the most part, things went very well (with Kelly).When Esmeralda took over, things became hostile. She was disrespectful, talked down to me, asked rhetorical questions and seemed upset that I was not willing to buy a car right away. She told me that the car I wanted (one of them) would be gone if I waited. I implied that if I wanted that particular model, and it was gone when I was ready to buy, that it could also available at other locations. I think I upset her with the mention of other competition (other dealerships, private sales, etc.) and it was not my intention to do so. I was being honest and logical. I mean, we were also considering a Tiguan from Winn VW, and had test-driven that as well, so we werent quite sure what to do.Esmeralda angrily walked away, made us wait, came back with an offer by dropping it on the table, and it was not a very good one. I said Ok, thank you, she picked it up, tore it in to pieces while walking away and didnt say another word.We saw ourselves out.Also, I was told a soft request would not impact my credit? Today I received Experian alerts that a request was made for my full credit history by Winn VW. I thought a soft request would not show up, as mentioned by your staff?

Worked with Esmeralda Talavera on a Jetta lease in dealership because the dealership hinted we could make our price work if we came in. We had a clean lease payment amount in mind that we were upfront about, specifying every tiny detail leaving no room for ambiguity.She assured us that she will get us the number, once she runs my credit. We were hesitant and reiterated that we didnt want to run the credit app until we were sure we could hit the ballpark of the number we had in mind. She reassured us that the number is possible. We spent a total of 4+ hours at the dealership on that day. The number she came up with was way above the ballpark and actually worse than any of the other Jetta dealership quotes I had negotiated over email/phone without even needing a credit app. The main reason for the 1 star review is the fake assurance and waste of time.Since the number she quoted was way above the ballpark we had in mind, she could have been upfront about the impossibility of hitting the number we had in mind without needing to run credit or having us in the dealership for so long.Most car dealerships and people have been amazing and transparent in all the years we have car-shopped over email/text/in-person, but it is bitter experiences and deceitful practices like this that scare and cause anxiety to any first-time car buyer.I want to reiterate that this one-star review is not because Esmeralda couldnt meet our price requirements but because she wasnt transparent about the possibility of us being even close to the price.

I got a 2017 Golf GTI & Jericho (son) was very professional, knowledgeable, & nice. He did my paperwork as well & had me in & out in a timely manner. I leased a new VW Atlas from Volkswagon in Salinas but I live up in this area. It SALDY got broken into a couple months ago and I brought it to Winn VW because it was closer to me. I am so glad I did!! Doug from the service department has been absolutely phenomenal to work with. He has been friendly and professional and gone out of his way to help make my service experience as smooth as possible. There have been a few bumps in the road (out of their control) and he has just been so easy to work with. I will continue to come to Winn VW for all my future needs. Customer service is so important and his is A+!

Worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. We came Saturday morning, spoke to a salesman, he quoted us a price and said that he has not applied additional discounts yet. We went back Saturday evening to confirm that what he had told us via email was accurate. Same salesperson showed us the car for the second time and said yes that’s correct. We drove all the way out here just now (Sunday evening), only for a new salesperson to tell us that the previous guy made a mistake and he won’t honor what the other guy said. Instead they raised our APR and said we don’t get other discounts. Arguments continued on and the price on paper that we were quoted was literally ripped up into pieces in front of us due to the salespersons frustration. First of all, don’t take it out on us if your person made a mistake. Second, don’t talk to us like we’re idiots. We have enough knowledge of numbers and finance that we know when we’re being cheated out of things. Happy to take our business elsewhere.

I am in the market for a new SUV and have been cross-shopping various models including the VW Crossport. I was contacted by Albert Pol of Winn VW and the entire process was professional. We set up a time to meet and test drive the car and Albert was enthusiastic, eager to answer questions and was very candid on the entire sales process. Although, we were not able to make the deal work, I highly recommend Albert and the team at Winn VW.
UPDATE MARCH 7, 2021I made my purchase on 02/28/2021 and on March 1st (the very next day) both my traded vehicles which had loans to pay off were paid off by the dealership. Ive made many purchases at dealerships and they always take up to 10 days or sometimes longer to pay off any outstanding balances on traded vehicles. This dealership is by far the best Ive ever experienced.UPDATE 02/28/2021I found myself in a situation where I had to get a new vehicle and get rid of a couple of leases. The team of Darwish and Josh at the dealership did a fantastic job with my purchase and saved me a a substantial sum in getting me into a new Atlas. These folks are very customer service oriented, aim to please, want your repeat business and they take care of the customer to reach these goals. This is certainly not the old way of doing business at a dealership. Awesome bunch!

From the first contact, and up to signing ; everything went smoothly, considering my husband and I had horrible experience a few weekends prior. Aldo did an amazing job getting us what we wanted and explaining everything clearly. The management and staff were very friendly and I can say listened to what we wanted. I can say, Aldo was on point, he had keys in hand the minute in hand he knew exactly what I was looking for . I would definitely recommended Winn VW.

Tried to get my 2021golf from Winn Volkswagen. After a whole afternoon discussion, the sales and I finally came to an agreement in monthly payment and down payment. However, the sales gave me another car, which is 2020golf. This is not acceptable and totally wasting my time. He did call me after I left the warehouse and gave me 2021golf later. A very bad experience in buying car here.
Sales team makes lot of promises, which is not honored by the finance team. Sales team deliberately cheating. Dont sign any papers from Sales. Bought a car recently with cash and had a very very bad transaction experience.

We made an appointment for 7 am but they took 2 people who came after us. Not checked in until 7:25! This defeats the purpose of making an appointment. I get better service at Toyota. Might be my last VW

Having my vehicle serviced at Winn Volkswagen provides me comfort that my vehicle will be taken care of and I will be notified of anything that needs attention. The staff is warm and welcoming and will make every effort to resolve issues or answer questions. With the new social distancing guidelines in place I felt that Winn Volkswagen has made every effort to keep customers and staff safe, while having a good experience at the same time. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.
I do not like that Winn charges customers markup ($5000) on the new ID.4 while the other dealerships do not. They have some ID.4s in the lot because some customers cancelled their reservation. The general sales manager seems a bit aggressive on the phone, it scares me a bit so I am running away...
The after-sales service here is very poor. They misspelled the name of my license card and did not take any responsibility. Let me go to the DMV to make changes! The attitude of the people here is also very poor, they do not admit their mistakes, and all blame me for not checking clearly! They said that this is not the first time misspelling the guests name! Such an important document can also be mistaken, and there is no confession, which makes people very angry! I want to complain here, and advise people who come to buy a car, I can guarantee that they are absolutely two attitudes before you buy a car and after buying a car! If you can, I want to give them a 0 star rating!

This is the typical dealership that will push you to make a deal with them upon the first visit. They wont let you walk away without pressing you for a number you would offer. I walked away but they kept calling me every other day to see if Im ready to buy their car. Today I told them to give me more time and stop calling. This guy darwish then turned all upset and said I should have let him know if Im not in the market to make his job easier. The way darwish texted me and mocked my name shows a lot about his character and how Winn Volkswagen treats their customers. Well of course Im still in the market, but I will not buy anything from Winn Volkswagen.
The service center folk are really nice but they do not do a good job of servicing the car. For the amount I was charged, I expected full car service to be done, but within a few days of service, my car developed braking issues. Upon follow-up, I was told that the brake fluid was not topped up as part of the service. I had specifically mentioned to top up all fluids, but it wasn’t done. They asked to me to drop the car again for checking, and I’d be charged again for service. Not worth the money spent.

TL;DR: Staff helpful, service quick, prices reasonable.Brought in a 2015 Golf Sportwagen TDI, bought at another dealership, for regular maintenance. Service staff was awesome, patiently going over options to give us exactly what we needed. Considering the amount of work, service was very prompt. Considering all the free extras, the pricing is more than reasonable.

Dishonesty and predatory behavior runs rampant through the entire staff.Josh (the newest sales manager) and Winn VW care more about nickel and diming their customers than conducting business in an honest manner to earn a reputation that could keep them in business and good standing with their community. Its really sad they have to resort to dishonesty and fraud to make their numbers.Timeline of my disgusting experience:1. Jan 2020 - We researched and found a Certified Pre Owned Jetta with under 7000 miles that fit our needs for a simple commuter car to park next to our brand new BMW.2. The car was advertised as having a clean CARFAX and the salesman reiterated over and over again that this was a barely used vehicle with a pristine record.3. After signing all of the paperwork and about to take delivery were informed that theres only 1 key for the car and an additional key could be purchased for $200. Obviously undoing the previous hour of financial paperwork and signed contracts was not in our interest considering we had our young daughter with us. We took delivery and got the extra key.4. When we purchased the vehicle, though we had every intention of paying cash for this little car, we were strongly asked to finance the car for 6 months to unlock an incentive for the dealership. We begrudgingly agreed.5. March 2020 - COVID hit. We left the area and no longer needed this car. Out of respect for the promise we made we parked the car at a friends in the area until those 6 small little payments were made to help the dealership (per our spoken agreement) get their incentive from VW (they were gaming the system...but we were just trying to help them out).6. Car was paid off in July. I listed the car for sale on cargurus and solicited a quote from Carvana. Carvana reported that the car was worth $1500 less than market value due to a multi impact accident that took place (in the same county as the dealership). CARFAX competitor Autocheck has become industry standard to protect consumers and they clearly list the accident.7. I contacted the dealership. The salesman we worked with had quit. I spoke to the sales manager, produced the autocheck report and he was very sympathetic to the fact that their dealership had committed fraud by repeatedly stating that the car had never sustained any damage. They continue to do so by relisting this vehicle on cargurus with a clean CARFAX clearly knowing that car was in a major accident.8. The sales manager offered to match carvanas offer without the accident, plus met me closer to the auction value of the car as an apology for this dishonest business practice of his dealership. Though I felt entitled to a full refund for being sold a car with falsified information, we agreed Id have my friend drop the car with the title to accept his offer.9. That sales manager, Sinbad, quit the day before we brought the car in. The current sales manager Josh Nguyen now defended the nefarious actions of the dealership and told me CARFAX was industry standard and WINN VW has no obligation to rely on or reference any other service and is fully entitled to represent a clean record on the car. Proven by the fact that he fraudulently listed the vehicle with a CLEAN CARFAX again on Cargurus (for $3000 more than he paid me)10. Josh decided to undermine Sinbads offer and told me hed pay about $500 less. If you dont like it... come get your car (knowing that this was being done remotely) he said. I compelled him to contact Sinbad, who now says he has no recollection of the details of our agreement but would meet me in the middle ($250 less than his offer and more than Joshs).11. Winn VW sent me a check for $9000 OVER their lowest offer. My multiple calls to Josh to understand what was going on were unreturned. A check arrived 3 days later for the lowest amount ($500 less than the initial offer) which was cashed.The deal was agreed on at one number. The car and title were dropped and they tried to drop it $500. We agreed in the middle. They sent the low check anyway.
Made me an offer, I agreed, then dealer told me he cant honor it. He increased monthly payment by $60. Manager was trying to outright cheat me. Positive: very stress free test drive, let me take it on highway.
Stopped by to get a quick quote to purchase my leased vehicle today for the residual amount and got quotes that seemed to price the car higher than the residual amount. Clearly the quote seemed like it was structured to take my vehicle back from lease and resell it back to me as a CPO for thousands more! Ended up calling VW Credit and purchasing it online for the residual amount. Beware if you are going to this dealer to try buying your own car at the end of a lease.
The oil job itself was great. And the job was well done when they finally got around to us. I gave a 4 as we had an appointment which did not seem to matter. At least 4 customers came after us and j heard them talk about being there for oil jobs. And yet they were put ahead of us. While apologetic the service worker kept saying how they were busier then usual. I am grateful our spot was not in the morning as Our car was done last. We finally figured out that it probably was because we had a no charge oil change whereas others were paying. Service kept saying it was free and we had one more free to go. The truth is we paid for it when we purchased our car. And will be paying interest till car paid for. Not free, Prepaid. But we will never do that again.Pre paid means end of line. Last to be serviced and others come first. Everyone is very nice and apologetic. But not nice to put us last even if with a smile.
I would recommend this dealership to anyone that’s looking to buy or service a car. Amazing help, they took great care of my GTI as well. In the past other dealerships (Hayward) have scratched the car and not taken responsibility for it. At Winn Volkswagen I have no worries I know my car will be in good hands. Thanks again guys!

We just bought a car here and they use deceptive tactics to add to the cost of your vehicle. They charged us $200 for “Auto Etch Shield” even though they never actually asked us or told us they were including it with the vehicle. They try to rush you to sign the paperwork so you won’t notice the charge and just sign the Auto Etch agreement. It’s partially my fault for not paying closer attention, but honest dealerships (if they exist) won’t try to slip extra costs without once mentioning it.
We had a great experience here! The staff here were very patient. They listened to my needs for cars and answered all my questions about their cars when showing me around. They helped me through all the process of buying cars in half of a day. The new cars of Volkswagen I got here are running very well. I love it! If you are looking for SUV, I highly recommend Winn Volkswagen.

I can state, it was a process without any stress from beginning to end and we got the perfect vehicle match at a great price with a great warranty! My encounter with Winn Volkswagen was very strange and disappointing. I contacted them about a car as they had a specific color that I was looking for. On the phone, they agreed to add another $500 discount for a partner program. They told me that they would get me an Uber to the dealership so I can pick up the car and told me to buy insurance so I can get the car. I spent about 1hr purchasing the insurance, and when I already finished with the insurance and was ready to go there, they told me that the car is not available anymore as they are sending it back to VolksWagen. They told me that its more profitable for them to send the vehicle back to Volkswagen than provide the $500 discount. At this point, I even agreed to pay $500 more, but they still refused to sell. Very disappointing and total waste of time! Go somewhere where they respect your time and honor agreements. The person I talked to is Trey Geter - he was respectful and friendly, but there is nothing you can do if his boss is mental and changing his mind every 5 minutes.

Too often, we hear about horrible car shopping experiences, but this was not what I experienced at Winn Volkswagen. We came in with another dealership’s competing offer and Nathan worked with his team to meet and then beat the price. I didnt purchase my vehicle from them initially, but when I came to get my car serviced, I left with a paintjob completely ruined with swirl marks.I would say if you want to have your car serviced here, you should make it explicitly clear that you DO NOT want them to touch the interior or exterior. They do not make it clear that they will wipe your car down, and in my case they wiped whatever dirt that was on their towel or my car into the paint.

Ernesto was my Service Advisor and I was very disappointed with him. He did not clearly establish that I would be charged $150 for them to check my rear passenger door and tell me the latch was broken, when I was the one who told them the latch was broken when I dropped it off! Then to not even take me to my car or tell me where my car was parked when my service was done??!!! I asked him and he points outside! Who does that? You pay a lot of money to bring your car to a dealership...you expect and deserve better that. I don’t live in the Bay Area, I drove 150 miles, I could have taken my vehicle some place else...you better believe I will now.

I have only dealt with their service department for a leased vehicle and once with the sales department when I returned my lease. Everyone was very polite and helpful and I experienced no issues. They offer complementary shuttle service for close by cities. They have a sitting area with WiFi and some coffee.

Winn Volkswagen always treats me well. They dont try to swindle me by telling me a ton of extra things need to be fixed on my car. They, of course, do the usual inspections, but they respect me as a customer that when I come and say I want an oil change, thats what they perform. They always perform the repairs within a reasonable amount of time and the prices dont send me into debt. The staff is always friendly and courteous.I will continue to bring my Jetta to them for repairs and oil changes.
