Lululemon lab in Vancouver on Powell Street is more than just an athletic store. I liked walking in and seeing the designers at their work stations creating new fashion.I just happened to be walking down Powell and I noticed a sign that said lab with a door open. I had no idea it wasnt just a store, but part of their corporate office.For those of you that dont know, lululemon is from Vancouver. It isnt my athletic fashion, I am a Hudson Bay shopper, but they are found in most major shopping malls.If you want to see athletic fashion in development, visit lululemon lab.

If “one-off” or “one of a kind” appeals to you, it doesn’t get a much better than this.Apparently Lululemon Lab is stuff of higher influence than their regular retail stores. You can try on and buy some of the experimental stuff that Lululemon staff has designed in small batches to see what sticks. Stay ahead of the trend line.My wife and I visited this location in July, and many items were on sale. We each found something that we liked, priced lower than what we expect from their usual retail.

Great selection of unique lulu designs for men and women. The staff were welcoming and friendly to the human and dog visitors. I can’t believe I’ve lived around the corner and never stopped before. After this great first impression I’ll be back for sure.

Not your typical Lululemon. As the name implies this is much more of a test location. The have a small design studio and factory in the store that will produce small batches of items. Pretty cool to see the whole process while you shop. The items are all unique to this location and focus more on lifestyle apparel instead of workout gear. They dont carry the typical items a regular lulu store will have but its awesome buying unique items that cant be found anywhere else.

Someone said pants are comfortable and styles are unique, but only gave four stars because they are pricy? Like I mean???? This is lululemon. And this is a LAB. Quality is top notch. You get what you pay. And youre right, they are unique. Probably only 7-8 people have it.

Perfect for slim guys (like me) who need a more edgy fit. Theres only a tiny premium added compared to regular lulu products (comparable shirt I bought was 4$ more) but youre getting a concept piece of clothing made in Vancouver. Very nice store; the staff were incredibly helpful. Will be back for more.

I am a 67 year old woman who loves to go to dance classes. I needed some new dance pants but hovered uncertainly around the entrance of the Oakridge store worrying about whether or not I could fit into any of the pants.-----I am tall and chunky. I was so very pleased to see that there was a mixture of normal looking women working in the store: not just size 0 but many different sizes! I found the clerks to be friendly,encouraging,and knowledgable . There is a wide selection too. On Thursday I will be debuting my new pants at my class! Thanks! Caroline H

Interesting to see potential new products. Some of the items seemed pretty pricey, but most were in line with what Id expect from their retail store.

Very into their take on athletic wear. A good choice for anyone who wants good looking active wear while avoiding the frat boy/rapist aesthetic.

Neat concept. Lululemon Lab is very different from the other Lululemon stores. Its mostly trendy streetwear. Theres quite a limited selection of clothing for men and women. There are many unique pieces. I bought some jogger-style dress pants. They also carry other brands (i.e. Non-lululemon brands) for some accessories. Same sizing and similar (if not slightly higher) price point to a standard Lululemon store. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Its okay. I like lululemon and their designs. However the male selection here is very minimal. Due to the nature of the lululab, styles vary from time to time. Its a hit or miss but keeps you coming back too

Lulu Lemon Lab in Gastown. Is the product being replaced or the layout being changed on the day I went? A space with no space behind the cash register.There are only about 3 types for women on the shelf in front. The lineup is different from ordinary Lulu Lemon stores, and I think that there was more town wear. About 70% was for men.I went there but nothing was particularly noticeable and a little disappointed.The only clerk welcomed me with a smile was the relief.

The staff are friendly :)
