I am a beginner guitar player and Norio made my guitar a lot easier and more enjoyable to play. It sounds much nicer too. Appreciate his work!

After going through several luthiers in the last few years and not being entirely happy about the work, a friend recommended Norio. My Spector needed a fret leveling. I decided to make the trek into Manhattan. What Norio did was nothing short of amazing. My bass practically plays itself now. It’s simple. If you want perfection he’s your man. He’s not the cheapest around but you get what you pay for. It’s like having a sick child. You’d what the best doctor you can find. On another note Norio recognized me as soon as I came to pick up my bass, without having to give him my claim ticket. Just one more great touch.

Norio re-fretted my original 1954 Gibson ES-175. I was so nervous about dropping off such a precious, old instrument in nearly flawless condition. He straightened its warped neck, gave me new frets, and I am 100% convinced it could have never played this well originally. I cannot believe what a perfectionist he is, how meticulous his work, and how kind he is to his customers. He really is an artist and deserves every ounce of praise given to him.

I wish I could give Norio 1000 Stars!I am very particular about my guitars, I have some rare ones & usually I will send them back to the Custom Shop, Luckily a very smart person told me about Mr. Imai!I found an unbelievable Strat but the frets were just too small for me - Enter Norio, left the Shell Pink Stratocaster for a re-fret.To say the guitar came back perfect would be an understatement - it was better than perfect!It was flawless unparalleled craftsmanship - performed by a consummate inspired professional.My guitar is amazing from 1st to 21st fret.
