Rafaello is so great with leather. He is very experienced and knows what’s the best for my leather goods. The leather goods he crafted is fantastic. I definitely recommend his service.

Sharing my experience - One of the best investments I could have possibly made. I wear a size 15, and its very difficult to find shoes that fit my wide feet. Ive played basketball for a long time, and my feet need extra attention at the point in my life. I am not exactly sure what positive reviews are talking about this shop but here is my input. My stunning vintage fur coat didnt make it through the repair services of so called Rafaello. It was a small-scale job to patch over the hole in elbow which wasnt big enough for him. Rafaello wanted to extend the job to the total revamp of my coat with all the bells and whistles and charge it through the nose, $800 including a steep discount. That would be a funny joke, if I had said no and left. Unfortunately, we settled just to mend the little problem only, and I left my coat with that unskilled inexpert, who needed to get his bargain worth, meaning, he demanded on top of his guaranteed cash payment that I1)advertise his shop to my girlfriends and on mass marketing media 2)sleep with him, 3)have my hair done at his cousins salon, 4)help him to sell new brand of Vodka to major restaurants during pandemic, 5)have tedious, prolonged, and frequent phone conversation with him etc...Finally, I got my coat back after a month of waiting, and him redoing his job twice. I thought he was going to keep it hostage. The result was frightening. My fur got glued together all over the problem area and if you comb you fingers through the fur, you would feel the nasty hard lumps of dried glue and fur together as if Rafaellos specialty was in breaking things not mending or healing them. And last but not least, if you cast your eye over his entire shop to examine, youll see the shoddy craftsmanship that brings shame on all his ancestors who taught him the trade.

This is the BEST furrier in the New York City. He’s very affordable and the quality of his products are like none other in the region. Trust me: he’ll be treating my leather products as long as he’s around. 👍🏿🌈🗽

Waste of time and money, did a horrible restoration job, my jacket is now roughed up and has the worst acrylic paint job Ive seen. Dont waste your money.

Rafaello completely restored my destroyed fur jacket. There were holes everywhere and it was shedding like crazy and it looks good as new now! The rate was fair and he was very honest about all of the work that needed to be done. It’s clear that my jacket will last!

Liar and conman. Told me that my vintage fur coat will be fixed by hand with glue and hand sewing. Charged several hundred dollars for the job and SO MUCH of my time because I kept finding places where the work that was promised was not done. I must have made 5 trips total to his store and still with an unsatisfactory product. Finally fed up, I went to someone else who opened up my coat to show me the botched job that was done by a sewing machine- something that should never be done to fur! The first time I was here, he asked me to write a positive review using his computer right there in the store, which is probably how he got the rating he has- don’t fall for it!

I was coming from Washington DC for a work trip and was around Penn Station in Manhattan. I have some problems with my feet and wanted to get custom made shoes. I found Rafaello’s store, walked in without knowing what to expect. I spoke to the owner and he understood exactly what I needed. He made me great snake skin heels. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. I’m in love with them! Thank you, Rafaello!!! Definitely recommend!

I found Rafaellos shop because Im a regular at the Recover studio upstairs. Im so glad I finally came in and brought my knitted fur mittens for a cleaning and repair. Being very happy with the results, I decided to bring my faux fur parka hood lining to be replaced with a much better quality real fur that I purchased online. A true pro, Rafaello was able to do this flawlessly, and done in less than a week! Now my down parka is transformed and the fur hood looks absolutely gorgeous, I cant wait to wear it when its colder. I really appreciate the natural furs because nothing is warmer and more comfortable. It is a material to be cared for and used for a lifetime, and I really appreciate having a master like Rafaello who can work with and care for such precious materials. Always happy to support our local furriers. Thank you for your beautiful, quality work! I loved the services by this store. The person was so kind and helpful. I had torn my parka in a bad way on the lirr and was looking to get my parka fixed soon. I went to three stores but here was this gentleman here on a Sunday who fixed my coat in 10 mins and so good that I could not even tell where it was torn from. The price was also very decent compared with what all the furs stores charge. I highly recommend this place. Thanks a ton for saving my day!!

Lost my daughters expensive gloves when moving next door and made a number of different excuses to not reimburse her. She came back multiple times pleading with him to reimburse her for the gloves which he finally did this week after numerous trips to the shop to get her gloves. You should be ashamed of yourself for treating someone that way. If you thought you could take advantage of her, you are wrong. I purchased a pair of custom made, alligator loafers from Rafael Cobbler Shoe Repair a couple of months ago. The shoes are exquisite. They are my favorite shoes and I plan on getting several more pairs. Rafael is honest to God a Master of the 21st Century of custom made shoes.
