Phenomenal ice cream place with a dazzling array of options. Portion sizes are good as well as the prices. Recommend the hazelnut, tiramisu, melon and chocolate flavours. A heaven sent for ice cream lovers.I would have liked to try the zabaione flavour but the first Google search result said the ingredients included wine and so I did not try it.

The ice cream was delicious and creamy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The waffle cone wasnt very good (seemed stale) but the amazing ice cream made up for it!

Delicious ice cream! The texture was delightfully sticky and smooth, and the honey cinnamon flavor had some really pleasing notes and tasted like horchata. A nice place to grab dessert after pizza nearby.

For one scoop you can choose up to two flavors (almost like two scoops). Price was very reasonable. I had the grapefruit and passion fruit. Both flavors had a tinge of bitterness. Its a fine place for a quick stop, but not a place that makes me want to stay and linger. Inside decor could use an upgrade; outdoor seating was ok.

The woman working here is so kind. I really liked coming here simply for the customer service! I don’t like how they only allow two test tastes (it’s 10$ to try all the flavours) but aside from that, it was a good experience. I got tiramisu and cinnamon/honey with sprinkles on top. Both are equally super yummy. I hope to come back and try the rest of their cool flavours. I thought the price was fair. I really like that they make the ice cream. The place feels very homey and fun!

The flavor of the ice cream wasn’t creative. The taste of the ice cream wasn’t surprising. It was close to the ice cream in the grocery stores for the same traditional flavors. The texture was a little bit too soft and slightly over sweet. The price was friendly though.

This is the go-to place for some of the best ice cream you can have, and has catapulted into one of my favorites. They offer a wonderful variety of flavors, ranging from the decadently rich dark chocolate, to really refreshing fruit sorbets. The gentleman who served my friend and I was very kind as well. I will definitely want to come back (multiple times).

I was not impressed by this place thats been around for so long. The decor was bland. The ice cream choices were nothing special and the taste was fine. I couldnt believe they only let you taste two flavors. At no other ice cream shop have I heard that before.

The dark chocolate is one of the best ice cream flavors Ive ever had. An absolute must have. Perfect combination with the mint chocolate chip, which featured big, flavorful chips. Will return next time Im in NYC!

Just went in for the first time late at night. Place was still open and the guy tending to me was absolutely attentive and kind. As I was paying I skipped past the tip screen and a woman who seemed to be the owner started going off on me for not leaving a tip. Extremely disrespectful for the owner to demand tip from a customer. She even pointed at the tip jar and asked if I had cash to give. I was visibly taken a back by this and she tried to walk back what she had said by saying she was kidding around. I agree I should have tipped but this was a poor display of how to run a restaurant. I just moved back to the area, wanted to try this establishment and support it by buying local but was met with the most disrespect of an owner. If I had more funds I would have left a suitable gratuity however, it is not my pay week and so I figured supporting the business could be enough but my kindness was not appreciated. This will be noted.

They supplied freshly brewed ice cream to their customers. Freshly made pies and pastries were available for purchase. The ice cream did a fantastic job of creating a cheerful expression.

I walked into Cones randomly while I was walking by in 2009. They recommended that I tried their corn gelato and it was the most amazing ice cream Ive ever tasted in my life. It reminded me of Puerto Rican Farina aka Cream of Wheat. It was refreshing, light and sweet with a hint of cinnamon. Once I left that day, I couldnt remember where I had eaten it... I tried to search for this place and never could find it. 12 YEARS LATER IVE FINALLY FOUND IT! I live in VA now and havent been back to NY in years but I will go back just to have another taste of the corn gelato. I am so happy, I could cry lol.

This place is just as great as it ever was and it’s not $10 a cone. It’s a little under $5 a cone for two flavors! Hmmm I wonder how they do that. They have many great flavors and they didn’t have to sell out, become a chain or have to sell hand-made merch in order to keep afloat. They just sell artisanal Argentinian gelato and sorbet in a wild range of interesting flavors, a huge number of them straightforward and fruity-tasting fruit. So glad this Village stalwart is still there.

This place has the best quality ice cream Ive ever had. Not greasy but creamy and rich. Their pistachio ice cream is so authentic. Store bought is colored green and tastes like almonds. This has actual pistachio chunks and has the natural color of the nut. Amazing ice cream that is worth every penny.

A little on the bland side as far as décor and overall atmosphere are concerned, but there are a variety of gelato flavors and a kind staff, so I cant complain too much. Not super busy and nice prices.

Ive had this marked to try for ages and finally wound up in the area ... well worth the wait. They have a good selection of flavors and the two I had - pistachio and mind chocolate chip - were excellent. Not too sweet, good texture. The portions were ok...basically 2 scoops for small, 3 for medium, etc.I didnt have a problem trying flavors but I also didnt ask to try each one...the pistachio sold me.I didnt get to try the fresh whipped cream...didnt notice until after I paid and they didnt offer toppings. We popped in here last Friday night after eating at John’s of Bleeker Street. The staff was friendly and one of their suggestions was the flavor Corn!My children did not take the bait, and I was so full of pizza from next-door that I did not get my own cup. But I am regretting it now! I guess I’ll have to come back and try corn for myself one day!

Cones is really good! They have a lot of fun and inventive flavors but if I had to pick just one to recommend, it would be corn. So yummy! The staff here has always been nice, and I feel like the price point is fair for what you get.

This is the best ice cream shop in town. All their flavors are natural and home made daily and I really love the staff they are very nice and treat you like family.

This is my favorite ice cream parlor on the West Village. I was so afraid that they would permanently close because of the pandemic, but I was so relieved to see thats not the case. My favorite flavors are corn (with powdered cinnamon on top) and the dulce de leche with chips. These are my go-to flavors, but Im positive that all they offer are excellent. I love the owner and the staff, they are very helpful and kind. You wont regret!

Fresh, great tasting ice cream

Went here the night before Halloween and though they probably had pumpkin ice cream - I think it had been put away already because it was near closing .I got the Hazelnut and the Mint Chocolate Chip . Definitely get the Hazelnut - it was awesome . Also you get 2 different flavors in a small cup ( and I think 3 in a medium cup ) so thats good . Recommended . Also Washington Square Park is around the corner so you can go walk in there afterwards .

Tried the corn flavor with cinnamon sprinkled on it. Eating my vegetables has never been this easy! But no, really, and the corn is really good when mixed with a scoop of white chocolate.

Great selection of sweet and fresh flavors. Unfortunately no samples due to Covid. The corn flavor was sublime topped with some sprinkled cinnamon. Grapefruit was super fresh and not overly sweet.

I asked the girl working there what is the “thing” that I should order there and she said the corn ice cream is easily the most popular. So I got that (it comes with a dusting of cinnamon), because I’d never had anything like it and it was good. Plus I got a scoop of passion fruit sorbet — also a big winner. Have passed this place so many times and finally decided to try it. The staff were so friendly and the ice cream was delicious! The flavors were unique and the ice cream tasted very fresh and creamy. I had the Mate flavor and would definitely recommend it. The cones were also really tasty. Will definitely be back!
