Ernesto did a great job with the installations and was always very agreeable and ready to help. At the store, Julio helped me with any issues that I had and supported me in getting amazing appliances and fixtures for my house. Fabulous. I needed two card tables and a folding chair delivered next day, ordered them on the phone. Everything was perfect: great quality, well priced, arrived on schedule, fast friendly and knowledgable service. A terrific shopping experience.

Was told to come here to get a swimming watch and they had it. I didnt read the small print and walked out with a 50M rather than a 100M watch. They exchanged the watches no problem. They also have an amazing number of other items which I got and was not expecting to. The staff were very helpful in assisting me to locate these other items.

This store is a paragon of supererogation, exceeding the normal scope of an ordinary housewares establishment. When face masks were in short supply, this store offered face masks; when hand sanitizer was in short supply, the store offered hand sanitizer--at the very time when the pharmacies lacked these items! Who knows what other urgently needed non-houseware must-haves are available here? Plus, the staff are consistently courteous and friendly. It cant get better than this.

The woman in the back of the counter in the back of the store was no help (and her attitude was not great) and I almost went home but I have been a customer for more than 25 years because of their excellent service. Bob always helps me but he was not there. I went back and asked there was something try can do. Julio was called and he was so helpful. I will continue to shop there.

You can find almost everything you need for the house here. Staff and owner are always helpful and courteous.

They usually have what you want and if not, they will order it. The owner/manager is almost always on site and he knows every detail about every item sold.

A huge and varied selection of almost anything you could think of. Prices are quite reasonable, and the staff is very helpful. And the owner, Bob, is always accommodating.

First off, the staff is amazing. From the time I entered the store i was greeted with warm and friendly faces. They practically fought over who get to help me lol. Made sure to direct me to exactly what I wanted, without trying to upsell and giving me space after to null over my options. This store had just about anything you would need in a last minute trip. Prices are very fair, store is nice, clean and well lit. I had to practice self control not to buy more that what I went in for. I wish I wish I took photos.

I have lived in neighborhood for years, taking my business to several hardwares in the area...University has NEVER failed me. When the part is NOT available it will be ordered for the next day or another longer, reasonable amt. of time. Its worth the wait surely beating the bother of trucking around on ones own. Staff has ALWAYS BEEN HELPFUL, POLITE! FIFTY STARS!!!

Have been going to these stores for 10 years. They are jam-packed with stuff, they have an excellent selection of housewares and hardwares and the staff, from Bob the owner to all of the people who work there are extremely helpful, knowledgable and nice. I have also had them come to my apt to do odd jobs (such as installing a/c or put shelves up) which they do very well, and cheaply.

Outstanding service and selection for both hardware and housewares

Everytime I go to University Housewares they have exactly what I need. It doesnt matter how strange or obscure, they always have it. Ive returned defective items and had them accepted with no fuss - an apology & a we stand by what we sell later Ive got a refund or a new item. The staff have integrity and are super helpful. I generally hate all businesses but I cant recommend this place enough. Ive never had more consistently positive interactions with a place of business. Dont buy on Amazon when this is a few blocks away! Pro-tip: ask for help! you will never find the thing youre looking for and the staff know exactly where it is.
