Went to three different lumber places in an attempt to get the right-sized dowels for an antique table repair. Junior (I think he was one of several Emanuels/Immanuels working there, hence the Junior handle) greeted me at the door, asked how he could help, showed me the dowels Metropolitan hand on hand and then declared that some spares I brought in with me would probably be a better fit with a little custom carving - which he promptly and carefully performed with a box cutter. The too-large dowels I brought into the store with my decorative piece now fit to a t. I really appreciated the critical thinking he brought to solving my problem. No other guys in the other lumber yards could be bothered to help me with this small, specific job - and Junior didnt even sell me anything! I am grateful, will be returning for larger orders that actually give the place a profit, and sharing my experience with my neighbors. THIS is how you build a customer base.

I hate coming here. The greeters are great its the other guys that are a pain to deal with, I ended up going to Prince Lumber always polite, respectful, and most important helpful. Also it seems like they making up prices on the go!

I dont particularly like this place. It has just about anything you want pertaining to building and construction. Tools for carpentry, tools for plumbing, tools for electric, tools for masonry and on. Supplies sand cement window dressing construction clothing sheetrock wood sundries wood cut to order but service here is some what lacking and the cashier just about terrible. But they are knowledgeable and store is convenient.

Customer service is bad. Unprofessional. Rude.Need train most of them.

They always have everything I need for my small projects, it saves me a trip to home depot and saves me money. They guys are really nice and the owner is super cool.

If you like fraud, youll love this place. I wanted a 5 by 5 sheet of 1-inch 3B baltic birch ply, but I settled for a 4 by 8 of domestic ply, for which they actually tried to charge me $140 (not kidding). I should have walked out then, but I argued them down to $70. Got it home and noticed the side of the plywood was stamped manufactured in Vietnam. So yeah... not domestic. In fact, very low grade. Ive seen much nicer 4B grade ply. The owner looked me right in the eye and told me this domestic ply was high end and he was giving me a great deal, even as he tried to charge $100+. Shameful. Also, beware any business that doesnt have price tags, or like this place, claims the price tags are old. You will be overcharged. Avoid this place.

Great for general Trade supplies. You can get standardized electrical and plumbing supplies and most carpentry and lock stuff. Probably the most versatile one stop supply house in the City.

Great store. But the guys in the yard are always in a bad mood. I notice that most of them act like if they dont see the customers.

Went in to buy a Sthil chainsaw. they have a Sthil specialist called Darnell. he was exceptionally nice and professional. took the time to give all explanations needed and all with a smile. one thing about this kind of places - come with a smile and youll get a smile and good service back.

Being a customer that gets insulted by your cashier Toman is maybe not the best way to retain good relationships with your patrons. They have some good/friendly employees, but it only takes a few rude people to taint your entire business.

Ran in 5 minutes before closing and needed help finding the right product to clean a leather furniture stain and 3 members of the staff weighed in and helped me purchase a few options and offered a discount. Super satisfied with their service and hopeful Ill get results when I attempt the cleaning...

When in for first time to make a clearly minor purchase of one 2x4 cut up into 9 pieces of specific lengths. They were very accommodating, efficient, charged a typical price for the 2x4s, a fair price for the custom cuts and had me out in 10 minutes with a bundle of lumber neatly held together with packing tape.

10th time in 10 years Ive walked out because no one will check me out. Its a cruel tease, because they do have what I need usually. 3 cashiers BSing with pros, one tells me all the other computers are locked and disappears. Budget 30 mins minimum, it is not a home depot and couldnt care less about non-contractors coming in for a quick household item. Ill give them another shot in 2019 I suppose. They are good for keys, I will say.

Dipsh*ts let their alarm go off all damn day on 1/18. Finally figured out the source of the noise and called 311 who transferred me to 911 who was supposed to send cops over. I hope these idiots get fined for nonstop noise.

Rude uneducated people working this lumber yard. Salesman are terrible barking like dogs cant talk normal just animals . The only way to deal with this people is be like an animal with them. Otherwise find another lumber yard.
